The review includes responses from Expedia/ Hotels.com and the inability to resolve a dispute with the host property. It is clear to me that Expedia is more of an advocate for the host property then they are to the guest. Expedia's own admission that "After numerous attempts to contact the host property" they received " no response." Dispite this Expedia refused to resolve or to satisfactory address my concern. And ruled in favor of host without any input from them.

We stayed here before departing on a cruise. It's nice enough, but is in the middle of nowhere and so there are not a lot of amenities around. There is also a fair amount of loud traffic. Some of the things in the room seemed like they were not particularly thought out when it was finished out. That said, it was affordable and convenient for getting to the cruise terminal. We would totally stay there again.

Personally, it wasn’t a bad stay but I rather pick another location…the amenities were outdated and there isn’t any front desk to talk to someone you have to call for everything and have to wait for towels and belongings until the following day. We also got the wrong room they wouldn’t change our room..

The place is very nice. Our room was comfy and clean. It had a mini fridge and a microwave. Location is great, it’s short distance from FLL airport and the Cruise terminals. I felt the area wasn’t within walking distance of much but finding uber rides wasn’t hard. I would definitely stay there again!

The property had no internet connection. They knowingly took my money and lied about getting right on the problem. After speaking with several guest, we discovered that none of the rooms had an internet connection. I think that they are running a scam. I will be pursuing legal counsel.

The standout feature of the property was the oversized free standing bathtub for 2 and the fantastic shower tower enclosure! Bed was ultra comfortable and kitchen was fully functional. Loved the on-demand ROKU television. Location is excellent for beaches, shopping and grocery. For those with electric cars, two charging stations are available. No stairs is a plus as all units are ground level.

The junior suite was nice and clean, with lots of space for two! We especially loved that the TV could swivel around toward the bed or couch. The kitchen was also nice to have!

The downsides were we could hear our neighbors as if they were in our room. And the shower didn’t have anything labeled so I had no idea if I was washing my hair with shampoo or body wash.

The property was nice and felt safe, and it was great being so close to Whole Foods!

Great choice to stay at The Lauderdale Boutique Hotel! Perfect location, ample parking, and check in and out with ease. Pleasantly surprised with my room. Homey feeling, clean, and well stocked/maintained. Felt like my very own studio apt. Bed was very comfortable. Beautiful bathroom and kitchen. Quiet, enclosed gated property. Although there was no front desk, property manager provided necessary details to make my stay as seamless as possible. Also texted me to ensure I was have a great experience.

This was a basic room. It was very clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. There was a microwave and refrigerator and there was plenty of parking spaces. We felt the area was pretty safe and it was close to cruise terminals. The only concern was one of the front gates did not lock so it wasn’t as secure as it could have been.

We had everything we needed in the room. The bathroom was shabby due to peeling paint, other than that it was ok. We found it complicated with no proper instructions how to enter the building, once we understood it was quite easy, but nobody explained it well enough, we did help a number of other guests enter their room with the same complications.

The place worked for 1 night. There is no kitchen. The coffee machine is an espresso single serve. Very limited coffee additions (no cream, no utensils). Bathroom had hand and bath towels but no wash cloths. We did not need to park but the parking pass was inside as expected.

Definitely needs a little TLC! It was a real issue getting our codes for the resort! Finally got them and one was incorrect! email came as we were flying out to get to Fort Lauderdale with another set of codes! I think they area was great and the price was good!

This is a cross between an air b-n-b and a motel. No on-site management. When our room only had one bath towel for 2 people, the message response we received was that they would get it to us the next morning since housekeeping had left. We persisted and got the towel. The room was very small and without chair, desk, or place to open your suitcase. Great shower, great pre-cruise location, and good location for dining.

The only glitch was communicating with the agents who manage check in. The room was clean and well designed and the property safe and secure.

Check in was an issue for two reasons. First because the check in instructions aren't scheduled to be emailed to you until 24 hours before check in (and my check in instructions were not sent until just hours before check in) and, second, because I requested a check in two hours earlier than allowed. I had to purchase for $40 extra dollars that and when I followed the link to pay for that, the agents, due to a glitch in the system, were uninformed of that payment. The check in agents did not send me the check in instructions until like two hours before check in and when the check in instructions were finally emailed, they had the later check in time indicated, not the earlier time I had paid for.

Finally, whoever drafted the check in instructions isn't very good at doing so. The key pad instructions need to be improved. They don't mention that after entering the code for entry, one has to also tap a √ mark on the keypad.

Once all of that was behind me, the stay was excellent. I would stay again and perhaps the access codes will be more timely provided.

The location was great for what we needed (Cruiseport). Although we paid for early check in for 2pm we did not get in on time as the ladies were still cleaning. The communication prior to check in was excellent but after that could use some improvement as I received responses to inquiries after we had checked out which was not helpful.The safe was broken and we reported it but it was never addressed. The room was clean and there was a nice outdoor area to sit at. The price was great as we had a 2 bedroom and shared the costs with family. All exchanges were extremely pleasant. I would go back.

The room only had an AC unit, no heat or we weren't in control of the heat so that was not good. The floors were gritty with dirt (needed swept) and the smoke detector in the room was covered in light blue LED lights so the entire room lit up when the lights were out. If you need to sleep in total darkness, this was NOT the room for you. Otherwise it was a great place. They third party sub out all customer service, there is no check in desk or anything so if you want a place that has humans there to help, this isn't it.

Super cute & clean. Nice bathroom. Felt very safe staying here. HOWEVER the pictures are somewhat deceiving as I expected a bigger unit. Spent 2 nights with my mother and sister before hopping on a cruise. Being the youngest (54) I was the lucky one stuck sleeping on the couch/pull out. I slept awful. Not made for an adult in my opinion. And I’m not tall whatsoever.

Below is the email I sent to the managers. They promised a refund that did not arrive. We have now involved our bank to resolve it:

"Unfortunately, we must advise you that we have checked out of the above reservation early, today, due to untenable conditions. Instead, we have booked a room with Best Western Hotels, at a cost of $301 (receipt attached.) Obviously, we only incurred this additional, significant expense due to unlivable conditions in room 14-B, as outlined below.

1. Toilet; a. Upon arrival, the toilet contained urine. b. The inside and the outside of the toilet bowl showed fecal matter (see photos), the outside of which I had to clean off myself.

c. After flushing, the toilet bowl water raised nearly to overflowing – such that we didn’t dare try using it again. We were forced to walk to the local McDonald’s. d. The toilet made a loud gurgling noise all night (video sent by separate email due to size). e. An intermittent whirring noise was heard this morning due to an apparent repairman at work on the plumbing. We heard other guests through the walls discussing the toilet.
2. The bathroom door did not close fully – impacting privacy (see attached). 3. The shower floor was dirty and covered with something unidentifiable (see attached). 4. When starting to make coffee, the coffee cup provided contained dead bugs (see attached). A partial refund of $240 requested. (Not received)

Would not recommend staying here. We stayed (1) night before our cruise on Jan 4th and again when we returned on Jan 9. The first night our air did not work, we noticed mold everywhere, the place was very dirty. Hotter in the room than it was outside. Again, when we returned we had the same experience. Still no air, mold still present (obviously). When we showered, we put a towel down on the floor to catch the water as there was no curtain and the towel was BROWN when we lifted it back up. We forgot beer in the room during the first stay, the same beer was in the room when we got back. Obviously didn’t get cleaned very well. Customer service was terrible. Tried texting the phone number that was “available 24/7” per our check in email regarding the issues and never got a reply. All of the chairs outside and tables have mold on them too. Can’t say I recommend this place at all.

Do not go here! Its cakled a boutique but just really okd apartmrnt style rooms with a bed, TV and sparse old bathroom. The neighborhood is scary with okd apartments and broken down cars. Drinking and drugging definitely going on. Our sewer backed up to the toilet snd filled the shower tub after 1 hour. . We reported and no results after a smelly hour with doir open. We ended up booking nearby at a hotel that was exoensive. We had been in the road since 3:30am and are over 70 years old and needed a safe room. Horrible neglectful experience.

We had a great stay! The room was clean and spacious. Check in was easy with the gate code and parking was very close to the unit. If I had any suggestions it would be to provide lids for the pots as well as a strainer in the kitchen. Another mirror in the unit would be helpful also to use when the bathroom is occupied. Other than that, the floor left our socks a bit dirty but it was an easy fix just to put on our sandals.

I would never stay again. Could not get door code to work and having to stand in the rain for 30 minutes while we talked with someone on the phone was not ideal for first impressions. Had issues getting into the room because of the door locks and paid $40 more for a 2 hour early check in and the business still would not let us in till we snap shot where we paid the money. The loft unit had a dangerous staircase that u had to use all the time because the bathroom was upstairs. No lamps downstairs for lighting to watch TV. Furniture and accessories were all cheap and old. Would not recommend this hotel

Location is perfect for my needs! Unit #8 has vent the blows cold air all night had to close the vent for relief but that was noisy. White Sheets and towels needs changing they are NOT clean, no wash cloths provided could not cast my Netflix to tv, unit # 8 did not register as option and previous guest account was still accessible. Ceiling over shower head is badly flaking and mildew on wall facing toilet.

Receiving the code was not timely after several calls with no answer i received a call back and the code verbally given. The white towels are not clean and should be checked before leaving them in the unit. Unit #6 maintenance concerns are: paint flaking on lower wall area in front of the toilet . Faucet near the toilet wont turn on unless faucet by door was on. More sound proofing is needed could hear the neighbors conversation. While i love this property i believe some grace should have been given considering i never received the access codes after 4pm and dont appreciate being locked out prior to 12 noon.

I stayed at this property for two nights, it was very easy to find with lots of parking available. Everything in the apartment was clean, modern and the A/C and shower worked fantastic and the common areas and property were neat, tidy and well maintained.

The owners of this property responded to any questions or queries I had with lightning speed.

I would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the Lauderdale area, I will definitely stay here again!

The area is quiet, and it felt secure. Dining options were within walking distance, including a 2-minute walk to Whole Foods. The issue was the area did not seem safe for women coming and going at night. Also the code did not always work so I had to wait for someone to come and open the gate at night this was not okay and scary. The property was clean, I am not sure how often room service came because they did not clean my room once when I was there. I would not recommend this to friends.

Everything was fine except that the parking is exposed to the outside, but there is a gate separating the parking from the common area. So you need to park your car outside a gate and then use a code to get inside a walk in gate and a separate code for your hotel door, which makes check in and shopping a bit laborious.

No blankets provided for sofa bed.
Shower spills out to bathroom floor.
Suited are connected and the walls are very thin, could clearly hear the neighbour plugging a charger into the wall and conversations.
