The hotel was in a good location in Buda (the quieter side of the city). Buda is beautiful but all the nightlife is at least a half hour walk away in Pest. The rooms are a bit tired. The staff were helpful enough - we really liked the young guy on the breakfast shift. Breakfast was fine for a few days but did get a bit boring - there was lovely fresh bread with bacon and egg every day. If I returned to Budapest I probs wouldn’t rush back to this hotel - although it was very reasonably priced - and the cheapest minibar I’ve ever came across!

The location was excellent and we so appreciated an early check in. it made the stay even more charming. We dined on cite at the Riso restaurant. The wood fire pizza was amazing and the spaghetti was light and flavorful, hitting all the right notes.

By far the hotel restautant. The food was incredible wow. Incredible italian food and local cuisine. The location was perfect very close to everything on the buda side. Otherwise the hotel and room were pretty normal except for the nice shower and pressure.

The hotel was clean and well maintained. The staff were generally courteous and spoke English well. However, some of the advertised amenities were not available: there was no laptop for use by patrons as indicated under "business services", and the massage service was not available either.

I tried the hotel restaurant and it was disappointing. The food was average -- nothing special at all. The staff also had a significantly higher tolerance for inappropriate behavior by a patron inside the restaurant than I would have thought for such a venue.

A man began literally shouting on a phone call
-- cursing, swearing and insulting some of the patrons in the dining area. The staff allowed that to go on for much longer than appropriate, stating that he was staying in the hotel, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I opted to eat in my room.

When I called the restaurant to collect the tray, they told me to leave it outside in the hall where it stayed for literally hours. I eventually took it down to reception myself. So much for room service, I guess.

If I could sum up my stay in one word, it would be 'average'.

Great boutique modern hotel in a perfect location for quiet enjoyment of castle area. Steep walk down to Danube & back etc. Not for those who don't like walking.

The location is perfect for exploring Budapest , you are right next door to the Castle District and short walk to a main metro station and shopping/eating area

If you are from the US, your key card goes into a slot just inside the door, this ensures all lights are turned off and allows them to be turned on as well

After checking in with Nora at the front desk we discovered the temperature in the room was away too hot and uncontrolled. She helped by coming to the room to learn we had a problem and quickly changed our room. One meal we had at the hotel was ruined by experiencing very poor service. The next meal we asked for the waiter whose name might have been Khristian to serve us because of his excellent skills which were observed on the earlier visit.

It had its down sides, good in parts.

A nice hotel from which to visit this great historic city. Room was fine, well equipped and staff first class. Underground parking available (extra) and a restaurant that operates as a separate business to the main hotel. We ate and enjoyed a great meal but found that we were not important enough to enjoy a second dinner, it was reserved for a private party!!! Room service is available we were told, a very small desk and one chair made that impossible. Check before booking as it is not ideal, in fact it would prevent us returning.

Great hotel in the most beautiful part of Budapest

The male receptionist upon our arrival on Friday, February 15, 2019 at around 11:00 was professional, fast and efficient. We were very satisfied with him and therefore with our stay (as we highlighted this on the form provided in the room). We received a room with a balcony on the first floor as requested that was well equipped and silent (even though someone was smoking during the day on the balcony next door that which very annoying to us as the smoke came over to our room). The area is beautiful and was peaceful that evening despite it being on a Friday. The female receptionist was also great upon our check-out next day whom was happy to help us with calling a taxi and storing our luggage at the facilities for a short wile in a polite and respectful manner.
P.S. Wifi was enough efficient and kettle was also lovely to have. The management seemed to have been approved since last summer since our previous stay.

The Hotel is in a nice location. Not far from Buda Castle, subway, mall and some bars. Its a nice hotel with nice restaurant attached. The staff was really nice and helpful. The only complaint that I have is that the bed in our room was very uncomfortable. They need new mattresses. Overall a nice place. I would stay again if I could get a better mattress.

Third time I've stayed here: it's our hotel of choice when in Budapest. Lovely small hotel in a great location with helpful staff. My only complaint is the breakfast: it's overpriced for the mediocre quality and the staff are not fast enough to restock basic items like cups, or clear tables towards the end of service. Strange because dinner in the same restaurant is fantastic!

Quaint, peaceful location on the Buda side of town. This hotel is probably better suited for families or retirees due to its distance away from the night life of the Pest side of town. The staff were friendly and helpful with siteseeing activities. The room amenities were nice, including the small mini bar selection. The handy complimentary smart phone was a nice plus for travelers in need, though i didn't need it. It was nice they made it available. Breakfast was tasty, especially the poached eggs, bacon and sateed veggies. Kinda light on thr fresh fruit but there was watermelon, banana and kiwi available. On the down side, the immediate surrounding area at night is dark and if you attempt to walk at night to where the activities are (i.e., Pest side) you will be walking down dark streets and barely lit parks. Older folks or single ladies may want to take a cab if you wish to travel around BP at night.

Excellent position next to the old city walls, friendly staff, parking place available (at extra cost), reasonable offering of buffet breakfast, nice room - plenty of space, safe in the room.

Free handy (smart phone) at your disposal during stay - free national and selected international calls, maps, numbers of hotel services, tourist info.

Even though the room and the bathroom looked clean, there was a slight bad smell around the toilet seat. It could be a problem with plumbing. I came late and only stayed overnight, but would have asked for another room otherwise.

It is necessary to place the key card in a holder in order to turn on electricity in the room. This includes the air conditioner - I feel lucky it was not too hot.

I stayed in this hotel a few more times but this will possibly be last. I checked in and was offered a house wine as a welcome drink. The hotel's reception is very small so I took my drink to the restaurant which is basically 2 feet away. I sat down and ordered food. 5 minutes later the waiter came and said I should not bring any drinks from outside. I could not even explain myself. I asked him to take it away but he said I should not do it again. Some minutes later he came back and somehow the topic came to the wine and I asked him to take it away but be repeated it was ok now but I was feeling quite bad. I then told the receptionist why he did not say anything to me after handing me thw wine and he had no idea this was a problem. When I was checking out I also realized they did not apply the 15% discount on the restaurant bill for the hotel guests and the receptionist said that 5% is already included. I disagreed that any discount was applied and that it should be 15% anyway as advertised. No results. Little things after all but enough to upset your short stay. Hope management makes an effort to train the staff and get better organized

This hotel is in a lovely quiet walkable area.Buda palace area on the doorstep.All staff friendly and professional,room clean,bright and spacious.Bathroom clean with a deep bath and a hairdryer.Housekeeping evryday.Plenty of shelf and wardrobe space with lots of hangers.Restaurant attached is very popular and on our visits there the food was tasty and the service good.Free coffee and soft drinks were available every day between 11am and 5pm in the reception area-a nice treat.There is a lift to all floors .Breakfast is served in the restaurant and is a mix of continental and cooked-all self service.Air con in the room is most welcome as the hotel does get very warm .

The 10-year old hotel has comfortable accommodations with an excellent restaurant just outside the castle walls. The staff is friendly and helpful and most speak English. The breakfast had a good selection of breads, cheeses, and meats as well as eggs, yogurt, fruit, and cereal. The room we had included a desk with chair and additional chair. The linens and towels could use updating. A great choice for those who prefer the relaxed pace of Buda and proximity to the castle over the noisier Pest side.

A lovely small hotel, rooms are spacious & ours had a lovely open deck/balcony. There is a lovely little restaurant attached which we would recommend. Nice location close to the castle & lovely cobbled streets with restaurants bars & cafes. Not too far to the nearest metro station (which we used several times) & shops/supermarket etc., although perhaps a bit far to tow your suitcase.

A Short Walk from the Castle Hill Area in Buda.

We were warmly greeted at the check in desk by a lovely young lady who gladly assisted us with our luggage and clearly explained the nuances of using the access card to enter the room. The hotel is located near the Vienna Gate for easy access to the sights on Castle Hill. We highly recommend this hotel if your planning a visit to Budapest. Another benefit of the hotel is the Riso Ristorante where you can get your breakfast or any other meals. Outstanding food and service.

Not the best place I stayed in Europe

It was a mixed bag. 2 of the front desk people were really nice and helpful, the other two...well it kinda felt like I was bothering them. I was ignored for a few minutes (I don't demand instant attention btw, it just felt like I was a hassle to them). The restaurant was very good, the room not so much. Walls, carpeting need an upgrade, they were dirty and scuffed up, plus there was a bug problem. Apparently Hungary has had a beetle infestation recently which would explain why I wound up killing 8 of them during my stay. Bed was uncomfortable. Overall I probably wouldn't stay there again even though the location is good.

I have had multiple friends and visitors stay here at this hotel. The service is top quality and the location to the castle cannot be beat. A 2 minute walk up will have you in the castle area and a 5 minute walk down will have you near a shopping mall and all sorts of restaurants.

our hotel stay was overall excellent. the location worked well for us but require a 10min walk to the metro downhill and coming back is uphill so could be challenging if you have kids or carrying heavy stuff.the bfast was excellent for the price. Coffee is great. there is also complimentary water and coffee on certain timea in the lobby. the hotel is modern and new, minimalistic and overall great.

As a lone female traveler, location is most crucial for me while selecting a hotel. This hotel has a great location as advertised. Situated in the castle district, most of the tourist attractions are at a walking distance. Even otherwise, bus no. 16 or 16 A from close to the hotel would conveniently take you to most of the important sites and even help you reach across on the other side of the chain bridge.

Staff at the reception was ace. Very friendly and up for a little chat, very helpful when I needed to arrange a taxi, fluent in German and English. Reception was manned when I left at 3.30 am. Staff was friendly and patient, which is much appreciated especially this early in the morning!
The room and bathroom were spotless and nicely sized.
I took a taxi, but noticed a bus stop nearby.

The only problem I had with this hotel -- which is in a great location and which has fabulously friendly and helpful staff -- is the showers: there is a gap between the shower wall and the tiles, such that water leaks all over the place. I had to stuff the crack with plastic bags to keep from emerging from my shower to a soaked floor. Very poor design. Fix that, and I'll come back again many time.

Lovely hotel, great value, perfect location, professional and courteous staff, very nice restaurant, close to buses and trams. We would walk up to the Buda Castle area in the evenings and have it almost all to ourselves.

Right place, right price.

Not five star but top notch. As it's just below the north end of Castle Hill, we walked through the area twice a day. That alone was a treat. Wonderful restaurant. One doesn't go to Budapest for the pizza, but theirs is great (and we're from New York!) like the rest of their food. A good value all the way around.
