We were disappointed the pool was closed for our entire stay but nothing was done to compensate for the closure, we weren't made aware it was
closed until after check in. A few Hilton Honors points or a discounted room rate would have been nice. The rooms are very basic not a lot of sitting to visit with friends without being right out front with everyone else. Room was clean and staff was friendly nice place for overnight stay, but for long term stay not enough amenities for my liking. No coffee pot in room (although coffee and tea available 24/7 in breakfast area) and no microwave in room. Not a bad place at all just lacking the amenities I like.

Bathroom has a brown line down the leg of the vanity close to the toilet paper, not sure what it is but it’s very unappealing. Our room had pretzels on the floor under the bed by the nightstand. I reached down to pick up a cord and freaked out. The worst part was, the pool was closed. Definitely should have that when checking in online. This was the only reason we picked this hotel. It really sucked for the kids. Breakfast I’m just gonna laugh, idk.

Pool wasn't functioning which was part of the reason for booking this room. Also, the \"hot breakfast\" was did not exist. We had toast, bagels, cereal, eggs, yogurt, and fruit. Nothing hot. Nothing cooked. Basically had a room...thats it. Nothing else we were expecting.

We checked in fairly late, but were pleased at how well the parking lot was lit up. Ashley checked us in and far exceeded expectations. She was very courteous and personable, yet kept things professional in our brief and limited exchange. As always, our room and the path to our room was very clean and well lit, which we appreciate, especially since we checked in late (11pm). The hotel room was spotless and that’s not exaggerating even a bit; it’s very clear that each employee knows, understands, and respects their role in this process and actually take pride in what they do, which I very much appreciate. We did take part in the breakfast on this trip which was chocked full of just about anything you could imagine in a hotel breakfast service and far exceeded our expectations. Ray was present as we checked out, which we’ve already had a few interactions with and was just as friendly and professional. All of these things are the reasons we continue to choose this specific Hilton property and always will when we are traveling through this area.

The facility was bright and inviting. Our room was clean and comfortable. We lost power in the middle of the night due to a terrible storm. No effort was made to let us know when it could be restored. When we checked in, we had to disturb the front desk clerk to help us. He was sitting outside on his phone.

I never made it to stay here here but when Expedia and Delta wouldn't help, the staff here went above and beyond, I was a basket case when i talked to Kelsey but she calmly talked me down, and took care of the unused booking in a matter of minutes. Every staff member I've talked to there was kind and helpful and it was extremely appreciated.

This was our first stay at a SPARK branded Hilton hotel. It is definitely no frills which is fine. But in Shepherdsville KY it was the most expensive hotel. I guess we expected a little more for the price. The internet kept going up and down during our stay but that was not the fault of the proprietor

Good Motel for the Price

It was a good hotel. Kind of featureless on the outside. European style decor inside and in the rooms. Had to scout for a cup for water in the room. Rooms were clean and quiet. Little kiosk could use some more variety and stock of snacks and beverage.

I will say that while their breakfast offering appeared rather stark, the bagels (which were from a bakery in New York through their Sysco company) were quite possibly the best bagels I've come across in the South.

Spark is NOT the \"Normal\" Hilton, but don't be afraid.
At first glance, you'll be confused. No microwave in the room, but a communual one in the lobby. No ice buckets, but they are next to the ice machines on opposite floors. A great room with a small fridge, plenty of comfort, and just what' you need.
Breakfast is edible: It's a bagel and \"schmeer\" bar with juice, oatmeal, and some very good coffee. Oh, and yogurt.
Now, it would be nice if they had kettles in the rooms so we could get hot water. Beyond that, what's missing is the stuff we normally walk buy in a budget hotel, and the higher Hilton Price.
Yep, there's your hook. This is truly a high quality BUDGET hotel with the HILTON GUARENTEE.
If you want the full service, breakfast and the stuff in your room, there are plenty of Hiltons you can choose from at the higher price.
But if you like the BW, Choice, and simlar budget choices but don't find them consistent, Spark may be the brand you've been looking for.

So, while I was perplexed by the hotel initially, the staff was patient and clearly understood the value of their brand. There aren't many out there yet. In fact, this is the first one in KY. This specific hotel was absolutely fantastic and I'd recommend it. Because it's a Hilton, it's also going to be like the others.

No frills, \"Give you what you need\", at a budget price with consistency. Do you need anything more?

First let me say the staff is incredible. The hotel is very clean. My only negative point is that this hotel went from Comfort Suites to Spark by Hilton. If this is Hilton’s idea of bettering a hotel they didn’t. The furnishings and rooms are sparsely decorated. The desk chair was more like outdoor furniture. Felt more like Motel 6 than a Hilton minus the price. Like I said awesome staff, but will probably not stay there again. I stayed 5 days.

3. No sofa chair in the room, only one metal lawn chair.
4. You have waited 5 minutes, yes Five minutes, to wait for water hot enough to take a shower! And took forever to drain the bathtub!

I have stayed at this property a few times in the past. My previous stays were while this property was affiliated with another chain. Sadly this will be my last stay. The room has beem remodeled however not well. They removed the mirowave and coffee maker from the room and put in a chair that Inwould expect at a sidewalk cafe, not at a desk. I booked through a third party and the transaction failed, I paid with my card however they couldn't or wouldnt provide a receipt showing I paid for the room. Lucky for me Expedia wirked with me and quickly refunded the extra charge. Unfortunately I travel this way regularly and will now find a new hotel for future stays. I just want a receipt and a comfortable room, easy enough, but not at this location.

Happy to give 5 stars for our experience with Spark! We saved this hotel and WILL be returning. Nothing but positive experiences there. We extended our stay another night even; knowing we were going to experience a comfortable and welcoming hotel. Close to several eating options, grocery or shopping needs, and the best go-cart place I've ever been to! The staff was incredible here - even making my little girl a SPECIAL birthday treat bag that had her GLOWING for her 5th birthday. Thank you for that, again!! Great recommendations on family activities. Parking was accessible and hotel is right by hwy.
