The Jerez Hotel and Spa was fantastic.

We were greeted by the friendly, helpful manager and got allocated a refurbished room which had beautiful decor, two single beds and two double beds. It was perfect for a family. The room had everything, even a small fridge and for peace of mind - a safe. The accommodation was spotless and hard to fault. Free parking was a bonus. It was pobably one of the best 4* hotel rooms we've stayed in. Super comfortable beds too.

There's a good size restaurant, with a hot breakfast buffet for a very reasonable €14 per person. Unfortunately whilst there was a good range of food items, the scrambled egg was totally inedible as it had a ton of salt in it. None of my family could eat it. The hotel kitchen needs to adopt healthier cooking practices. Ditch the salt please!

Overall though, this is a very nice, well run hotel and we enjoyed our stay.

Hotel staff were lovely and friendly.
We ate in the hotel restaurant a couple of nights and the food was great.
Easy walk into the old town or if needed taxi was just under £6 euro.

I’ve previously rated this hotel 5 star. Slightly less this time. Most staff were very friendly and supportive, but some were not. One lady on reception, and some in AQ35. Also despite visiting in late September heat, there was no option to have poolside drinks/snacks. The menus were on display, but the hotel would not serve anything! Why display menus if you won’t serve? Small details like that do matter.
Having said all of that, overall we really enjoyed our stay.

I wish the garden that could be seen from my room had been restored. When I was there last year, they had started working on it and it was somewhat disappointing to see that work had not yet been completed.
Pleasing hotel surroundings are also a part of an enjoyable stay, and this garden certainly had a lot of potential.

Parking on site, which was convienant. A few dining options nearby including a hotel restaurant, but most of the shopping/dining optioins were a 10 min drive away in the heart of the city. Hotel staff was a skelton crew, and there were renovatioins taking place which caused some noise/mess, but that's expected in the off season.

We stayed here back in July and loved it, so this was a return visit.
First night wasn't so good. The hotel had shut down the air conditioning for the winter season. We were given a top floor room with a balcony. Even with the patio door open all night, the room didn't cool and stayed at 23 Deg C. Way too warm for us to sleep, plus the outside noise too. Sadly, I also found the only pillow to be lumpy and very uncomfortable. There was no kettle in the room, despite them being shown in the hotel's own website photo for that room category. We asked twice to be provided with one, yet each time the staff said we weren't entitled to it!
I explained the complaints to reception staff in the morning, and they were very supportive and understanding.
A room change was arranged rapidly to a ground floor room. Nicer pillows were also supplied, along with a kettle and other niceties.
That room was MUCH more comfortable, such that we enjoyed the rest of the stay.
Many thanks indeed to the staff for their support and understanding.
I'd strongly recommend to the hotel that kettles should be in every room, and that fans should be available whilst the (advertised) air conditioning is shut down.

Choose another hotel very poor for 4 stars.

It was not good. They are make up the rooms but the whole hotel needs a new look and it needs to be updated. Except the day I did the chech in, the rets of the days the stuff was not welcoming and they didn't covered my needs. Breakfast was poor quality. And please, don't go to the restaurant, the food was horrible. Croquetas very strong flavour, fish tasted old and was cooked dry, pasta was stick like a block. I'm not going to go again.

2nd time staying here and just as happy. Room excellent with big, comfy bed. Great pool outside with room for lounging. Has hotel breakfast restaurant and also adjoining bar/restaurant which is truly fabulous. (Complimentary water/soft drinks in room would be a nice touch for 4* hotel as €1:70 for a bottle of water from the vending machine is a bit ridic). It’s a fair walk into town (30 mins) but it is very pleasant. There are also some bars and restaurants in the area and only 15-min walk to Corte Ingles!! An issue was pool generator kicking in early morning which wasn’t a problem last time but was this time due to poolside room. However, loved our time there and can’t wait to go back.

A relaxing stay

We loved our stay at the Hotel Jerez and Spa. After traveling around Spain for the last three weeks, it was a nice refreshing break. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and overall we felt it had a relaxed feel. We didn’t try any of the spa or fitness facilities so cannot comment on their quality. We tried to communicate in our broken Spanish but most of the staff spoke English so communication was not a problem. The hotel is a bit of a hike to the old city but since we had access to a car this was not a problem. The buffet breakfast was good with a variety of food on offer. The hotel is used by tour groups so timing your breakfast can be important. Overall though we enjoyed our stay and would return in the future.

Superb hotel and the swimming pool/outdoor bar is excellent. After a long day sightseeing, jumping in the pool and having a cool drink is guaranteed to make you happy. Breakfast is excellent - plenty of choices. The walk to the centre of Jerez is just 25 mins or a taxi ride if you’re feeling lazy.

Signposting to hotel could be improved but free parking which is a real bonus. Reception staff extremely friendly and helpful at all times. Room was very comfy and we had a lovely terrace overlooking a super peaceful garden area. Has a great outdoor pool which is free access but you have to book spa (45 mins for €10) and closes for a bit in afternoon. It’s a good 30 min walk along lovey avenue into centre but if you don’t fancy that reception will get you a taxi in no time at all. Breakfast very good and reasonably priced. The hotel also has a connected restaurant AQ35 which does really good food and is not too expensive (although some restaurant staff may appear a bit unfriendly at times). Would very happily return to this hotel.

Everything was great apart from the restaurant, there were signs everywhere with a QR Code for the menu only to be told that they don’t use that one now. There was Steak- a lot of steak on the menu and very little else meat wise, when I asked for chicken or pork I was just told no, so I had the tuna and it was tasteless so I told them to take it away but still had to pay for it. Waiter could do with a bit of retraining to say the least.

I had wanted to use he spa, but was just not there long enough :-( my partner did, and said it was lovely, although would have helped to know in advance about having to go in on the hour. Also I am going to start zero rating hotels that do not stick to their own linen replacement policy. We did everything to keep our linen/towels on the first night, and it worked. Although when we got back in the ‘I want my linen changed” card had been put squarely on the bed. I removed it for day 2... but no, everything was changed this time!!! And avoid the free sherry in the hotel. It was very simple and not a good example of what sherry is like at all.

We were given a courtesy upgrade for unknown reasons, and our upgraded room was spacious, well appointed, and quite comfortable. In particular, the multi-headed shower was luxurious.

Peaceful retreat in Jerez

A lovely hotel in a peaceful area just outside of the city centre (20-25 minute walk into the centre).

My 3rd floor room overlooked the pool and garden which were both beautiful, with plenty of sun loungers and shade if you needed it.

I would recommend the spa too - I had a great de-stress massage which was well-worth the 45 euros for a 50-min massage (shorter times, lower rates are available).

This is a very charming hotel which has more of a resort feel about it, owing to the large clean pool, pool bar, numerous sunbeds and well maintained lawned area.

The rooms are clean and spacious with balconies. Ours had a garden view while others have a view of the pool (and direct access to the pool area from rooms on the ground floor). The room also had nice little complementary touches including small bottles of water, coke and beer.

All around the hotel the staff are professional, diligent and friendly. The place is dated but we kinda liked that traditional feel and overall is well maintained. If you love horses then you'll be in your element.

Breakfast is diverse with some excellent meats and cheeses of the region. The connected restaurant is outstanding, enticing locals and guests alike. The food was delicious, selection of drinks (sherries!) vast and service was top class. We loved sitting out in the sunny courtyard and on the day of our departure we didn't want to leave!

The hotel is a bit of a walk into the main town (around 20-30mins) but we didn't mind the exercise. It's a straight paved route in so easy to find. There are a few bars and restaurants en route if you feel the need to stop off along the way. Another option is to cycle as there are cycle paths everywhere and it's all flat. Think you can borrow them from the hotel. One evening we took a cab back from the main rank and it was less than 5 euros.

The hotel was lovely during the weekdays. Nice and quiet. Saturday and Sunday afternoons and into evening were a different story. The pool was invaded by up to 60 noisy children whose parents did no supervision. This ruined the relaxing stay I had booked as a surprise for my partners birthday.

Bathroom was old and in need of updating. Toilet did not flush well. One of the double sinks did not drain well. Room only had bath shower, which you had to squeeze past a walk support bar. Hotel only provided two small gels for showering, which had to be shared by two people for evening and morning shower. Hotel room overlooked what looked like. rundown garden allotment, with Budha ornaments, which presumable was surprised to be a meditative area next to the car park, Better to stay at the Sherry Park hotel,, which is also a lot closer to the centre.

This is a very comfortable hotel a bit away from the center of town. Our room was spacious, and had a lot of nice touches like reading lamps on each side of the bed, a switch by the bed that turns off the main room light, plenty of outlets, big mirror in the bathroom, good shower, etc. We were able to borrow an electric kettle for hot water from the hotel, for evening tea. Staff were very helpful, advising us about bus routes and local things to do. We only had one night in Jerez; I'd recommend more time. Time your trip so that you can see the local equestrian show (Fundación Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestre). It was about 20 minute walk from the hotel.

My husband and I are traveling around Spain for a month. We came to Jerez primarily to see the horse show. We stayed at Hotel Jerez for 3 nights. The staff here are amazing. Starting with check in where she gave us a map and showed us where to go and explained travel options. The hotel is a fairly long walk from the center but there is also frequent bus service for 1.10 euros. They also have bikes you can use at no charge. We had a problem with the room lock and they gave us the room next door., The wire in My husbands iPhone charger split and they fixed it with white electrical tape. We ate 3 breakfasts, 2 lunches and one dinner st the hotel. The food and staff are good. We also visited the spa once. The jacuzzi is not as hot as the hot tubs we are accustomed to and the sauna was too hot to sit in. The pool has waterfalls to soothe your sore muscles. We enjoyed the experience but not enough to repeat. The rooms are spacious and come with a balcony and fridge. Parking is free. We recommend staying at this hotel when in Jerez.,

The food was very average. I would not recommend eating there.
Pool was lovely. A good size and very clean.
Outside of hotel had seen better days. Definitely time for an overall. Tiles missing from outside of balconies.

Fantastic stay at this well maintained hotel

Fantastic stay at this well maintained hotel. Located 20 minutes walk from Jerez, an easily accessible hotel. Facilities included all that you’d expect - free parking and WiFi. Clean, comfortable and well fitted out air conditioned bedroom with lovely balcony to sit out on. Visited Tio Pepe which is a 30 minute walk, but there is easily accessible parking in the town so no excuses not to go. The motor racing circuit is only 15 minutes drive so a great location if you’re there for Motorsport, want to do a Sherry tour or the local horse shows.

The breakfast and evening meals have something for everyone. Well prepared food and fantastic service from the team made this a very enjoyable stay.

There is an outdoor pool, gym and spa on site but I didn’t make use of them. That said there is no reason to think they would be anything but excellent given the rest of my experience there was.

Overall an excellent hotel in a great location, that no doubt I’ll be revisiting next year.

Lovely old hotel outside Jerez city centre

We stayed here for two nights in July during our honeymoon. It's a little old and the rooms could do with an update, however they were clean and comfortable. It's great that the parking is free and even though it's a bit of a walk into the centre of town, it's not too bad. We didn't get a chance to go for a swim, but the pool looks huge, clean and relaxing.

Lovely hotel

Had a great stay there Aug 17. Good facilities, friendly helpful staff. Good size pool breakfast had everything & the restaurant had good food at reasonable prices. 20 min walk to town centre, 5euro for taxi to town.

Excellent Jerez hotel

This was a last minute reservation and we were very pleased overall. A few of points to note; the car parking is free, it is located about 25 mins walk to the pedestrian part of the town but you can walk to both the Andalusian horse show and the Tio Pepe bodegas both of which are a must.
Breakfast very good; if you want freshly cooked fried eggs just ask the very obliging waiters. The hotel really must do something about its toasters; both take up to 10 minutes to get lightly browned toast!!!!
The outside pool is one of the best I have seen and very warm but BEWARE if you are an early morning swimmer. The pool is not officially open until 11.30am!!!
The outside restaurant is very good and cool but I would suggest you book up; we did see people turned away.
