This lovely and elegant hotel is conveniently situated between the Place de la Bastille and the Place des Vosges, in the heart of Paris, boasting the ideal location both for a business or leisure trip. The accommodation is close to several public transport lines making it exceptionally easy to travel around Paris.

The hotel is in the heart of the historical Marais district, a few minutes' walk from several sightseeing attractions such as the Opera Bastille, Victor Hugo's house, the Centre Pompidou or the Notre Dame cathedral. All the hotel’s guest rooms are decorated in a contemporary style and feature a wide range of modern amenities for added comfort and convenience, such as a trouser press.

Lovely hotel, good facilities, clean & comfortable.

Alas there was a party in the apartment opposite the hotel which was extremely noisy and very disruptive until 2.50am. I appreciate this was of no fault of the hotel but I was there on a Saturday night before the ‘Semi de Paris’ half marathon, and was disappointed not to get a good night’s sleep. I’m afraid I wouldn’t stay there again for that reason.

I can recommend the Auberge de Venis, Brutus and Cafe des Phares restaurant and the Les Amoureuses bar was superb!

Been to Paris many times but this was visit number two this hotel. Clean, friendly, perfect location for opera performances, quiet, excellent breakfast, dozens of good restaurants in the neighborhood at all prices. Prices are reasonable, given all the pluses. Room just a bit small for some of us, which means i’ll probably reserve a slightly larger room for my next visit. Highly recommended. GR, USA

Our room, bathroom, and shower were all much larger than expected. Bed was very comfortable.The whole property including our room was spotless. There was AC in the room. We had a typical Parisian window that opened to enjoy the view and let in the breeze. Property has elevator and stairs. Our room view was the intersection of Rue de Bastille/Antoine. Great location and lively area with lots to do within a few steps: shopping, cafes, laundrette, and right next door to the famous Bofinger brasserie. I wouldn't say that it was quiet but we were too tired to care and slept well. The Bastille Metro station was 400 ft from the front door of the hotel. Hotel was 20 minute walk to Notre Dame, Seine Riverbank. 5 min walk to 3rd and 11th arr. Everything else very easily accessed by Metro. The staff was attentive and patient with our poor attempts at French. Everyone was so welcoming and warm. There was a nice breakfast downstairs every morning for 16 euros/pp with excellent coffees. The front desk staff arranged for a taxi to take us to the airport on our last morning and it was right on time. I would stay again in a heartbeat. Don't hesitate to book this beautiful spot in Le Marais.

Extremely Helpful Staff, Very Comfortable Room

Great location, just a short walk from the tube station. The neighborhood had restaurants nearby also. The property was well-maintained and always clean. Comfortable room and bed. The breakfast had a good variety of delicious options. These staff members were extremely helpful with information about the area and transportation: Juan, Cecile, Benny and Louisa. I don't have names of the other clerks. I highly recommend this property.

The location was great and very walkable to many sights in Paris.

Our room was freshly renovated prior to staying at the hotel and the room stunk terribly of oil paint and the room was quite dusty from the renovation.

There was no air conditioning to circulate the air, so the room just trapped all the chemicals inside when the windows were closed. The hotel had quite a bit of noise outside (drunk students, delivery vehicles, etc.) so it was challenging to keep the windows open while sleeping to air the room out.

This ruined our experience and we did not have a pleasant stay at this hotel.

Broken aircon & bar fridge broken for days

Bag stolen whilst we slept overnight, someone broke into our room. No-one believed us until found on another floor we had not been on by cleaner. Asked to speak to cleaner gone home. Asked to speak to Mge. Don’t have his number. Can only contact in emergency. Well my bag with passport, cash, credit cards seems like an emergency to me (I can’t get home without passport. Suddenly after five hours at Australian Embassy & Police, when we got back bag had been found minus cash, ,credit cards, umbrella.
Fortunately passport still in it. Then they offered to free nights whilst we waited for emergency passport. Too little too late. We were so scared we would have moved hotels had it not been found.

We did get two free breakfasts, well that was a bonus given how stressed we were.

Said they couldn’t do anything. Yes investigate your security cameras and staff. They would show us the security cameras.

This was just plain traumatic and poor service in regards to maintenance issues, and the costs of Uber if four times (40 minutes each time, plus 259 for emergency passport, which my daughter paid for as everything had been stolen.

Not even the mgr called us back when we asked to speak to him. They declared they had no number and his day off.

We spent last night with chairs and cases jammed up against the door and got no sleep as we were scared stiff.

Our stay was lovely! We had a room on the first floor and one on the 6th floor. Very clean and friendly staff. The top floor room was a bit hot at night without AC, but the windows could be opened so that helped tremendously. Location was phenomenal, with either walking access to locations or getting to the local metro station.

Lovely little hotel, very nicely decorated. Well situated in the Bastille with super easy access to the metro a couple of minutes away. I requested a quiet room and couldn't hear any street noise at all! The breakfast is great, and the lady who looks after it was keeping it perfectly stocked up. Quick comfy stay

Right in the heart of Bastille, this little hotel served my purpose for the quick stay. Big bathroom, comfy bed, and small, but definitely workable and comfortable. Did not feel like I had no space, I was very happy with the space considering Paris is known for rooms on the smaller side. For the night I was here, it was perfect. Check-in was easy, staff was polite, no issues at all.

Loud drilling noise

Not good at all. There is some construction happening in the ajoining building, with constant loud drilling sounds on the other side of the wall. Ongoing for half an hour since we arrived. We can’t hear each other talk. I spoke with reception and they tell me the hotel is fully booked so they are not able to put us in a different room. We’re booked here for three days, and the construction started just yesterday they say. They have offered to refund any of the cost if we need to move to another hotel…

This property is one we will go back to when next in Paris. Great location with restaurants, cafes, pharmacy within steps. Room is as advertised, a bit small, but amenities are very good, nice bathroom and great shower, comfortable beds. Staff is helpful and keeps good eye on door so it feels very safe. The Metro is so close and easy to use (highly recommend that as well).

Incredible stay at Hotel Bastille Speria. The room was spacious, beautifully designed and quiet. The breakfast was great value and delicious with a beautiful presentation. The hotel is in a great area with access to the metro less then 5 minutes away and walking distance to lots of cute shops and restaurants. Its a busy area but the hotel itself is very quiet. Cecilia at the front desk was lovely and so helpful with giving us directions and arranging a taxi to the airport. We will for sure be staying here on our next visit to Paris.

There is lots of restaurants close by and the metro is super close and convenient. I would agree it can be loud at night time but I would suggest to wear/bring earplugs to avoid this being an issue. The hotel matched the online description well. The room looked like the pictures. Do not expect much room to walk around the bed or accommodation for much more than a few pieces of luggage. It did have closet-cabinet which helped. The staff was friendly and professional. No complaints. Just be aware that it is located amidst some night life so the noise levels can get high into the early morning hours. Not a big bother for me.

We had a lovely stay at the Speria Bastille. Our room being ready early really made a difference for us. They may not be able to do that all the time, but I was so thankful! It’s a very old property and has the old European feel, but the rooms seem like they had been refurbished recently. The staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast is good. It was nice for my 13 year old to experience a European breakfast with the meats, cheeses, and breads. There are so many restaurants close by, a metro station is very close, and the new Opera House is a block away. Would recommend this property to a friend.

Staff were all wonderful! And the rooms were lovely and cool as well - which was a bonus due to the humidity outside. We had switched hotels, because when we arrived in Paris and went to our previously booked rooms they were not as advertised - to say the least. We quickly made an exit and found rooms at Hotel Bastille Speria - what a marvellous find. The location is very central, the rooms beautifully appointed and the staff extremely helpful. I highly recommend this hotel. The only caveat would be that on our next visit, hopefully the lift will be in operating order, otherwise loved it.

I arrived to the hotel and unfortunately it turned out that the elevator does not work and will not work for about a week!!! I realized that the elevator broke down before I arrived to the hotel. The hotel should have informed me of this in advance and prior to my arrival.
They did give me a room on the first floor, but that didn't stop me from going up and down the stairs several times a day.
To my opinion this is a scandal!
There is a minimum of responsibility and respect between the hotel and its customers. I will not stay at this hotel again. And I will not recommend it to any of my friends and family!

What a great little boutique hotel! We loved this very clean and stylish hotel in a great area. We rented scooters outside the door , and explored the golden triangle ! The hotel is very close a metro and great restaurants. We thought the breakfast was included but it isn’t. It is $16.99 Euro a person which is a lot. You could get better breakfasts elsewhere for cheaper. Generally the front desk and breakfast servers were friendly minus an older blond women who was very pushy and insisted we must book a taxi to the airport and not use Uber.

Good water pressure and ample hot water. Windows kept noise out and heat worked well. Staff was friendly, multi lingual and helpful. Elevator was tiny but worked. Bed was comfortable. Daily cleaning was hassle free. A very special shout out and thank you to Cecilia at the frint desk for above and beyond service and all the staff were really great. Only minor issue was that not alll channels on tv worked but you're in Paris so who cares.
