it was great. Lovely hostesses and the room was perfect. My only issue was that we had to pay extra for the room key which is a bit ridiculous, and the showers. You need to press a button for them to work and they last 5 seconds. Exactly 5 seconds. Which means washing your hair is almost impossible. If you allow the water to work for 4 minutes (it's what most people think it's the right amount of time to spend in the shower in order not to waste water) it'd make life much easier. As it is, it's a total pain.

Check in was terrible as there was no one at reception for 15 minutes, then gave me a BS excuse. The window could not close shut because the curtains were stuck behind them, so we could hear the outside noise until 5am. The lights in the hallway should be dimmed after 11 pm so people remain quiet. Bring your own air plugs and towels as they are not provided or offered. The buffer breakfast was in the entry hall and not as advertised based on the pictures.

El personal de recepción fue súper amable y servicial siempre, el chico de la noche es súper kind, los baños son compartidos por género y te pide tarjeta de acceso lo que lo hace seguro, la cocina bien, las camas con cortina lo mejor, pero lo que más me gustó fue la seguridad, si eres una chica este es el hostel para ti, además está cerca de la estación de tren, el desayuno está bien ps te quita el hambre pero nada increíble, en general me gustó mi estancia y si volvería!!

This is a hostel, so you get what you pay for. With that said, the staff was friendly, the facility was clean and kept. You will need to bring your own towel or rent one for 4e. Additionally, if you have luggage, you will need to either leave it unsecured in your room or rent a locker in the basement for 9e per 24 hours. This is very inconvenient. Breakfast is bread, croissants, juice, yogurt and coffee. The location is good on the end of the Marais near the Seine and steps to Metro 7. I would stay again if on a budget.

Rooms and amenities were okay. The unit big problem was the showers and the water taps were unusable. They were so low pressure and pointless. I don’t know if it’s a legal French thing where they have to be that way to save water or not but other than that everything was okay.

They don’t take luggages before and after checkin and checkout, which really interrupt itinerary flexibility.

They have paying lockers on the basement, which charge 2-5 euros for a couple hours. That is almost similar price to 1 night stay in this hostel.

I felt their counter staff far from hospitality.

Customer service was great.
We are over 60' and visited a number of countries in Europe. We booked 5 nights via Expedia and only discovered that the property was in fact a hostel, contrary to our understanding of the booking. After raising our concerns with Mr. Ethan Clard, he promptly cancelled our 5-night reservation and assisted us in rebooking for 2-nights in a private room with a queen bed and ensuite bathroom as they had no availability for the other nights.
More than €1,000 was refudned to Expedia on the spot (11/10/2025), but Expedia refused to refund the money to us. It is now 20 days over and they still refused to refund our hard earned money.
Expedia’s behaviour also contrary to their own Terms and Conditions: “Any refunds will be transferred back to the payment method used to make the original booking. Such refunds will be made by the party that took your original payment…\".
Make your booking somewhere else, NOT EXPEDIA. They are unethical and money hungry and would do anything to make your life in hell!

Great hostel! - 2minutes walk from the Sully-Morland subway station. Est 20minutes walk from Notre Dame. Friendly staff that accommodate a wide range of language. Bar and restaurant on second floor that offer a great selection. I grabbed a 4-bed with private bathroom and had zero complaints. Would happily return!

Overall, the room was not bad. Very clean and was comfortable enough for four people. The shower water saver was limited to a 15 second intervals. Instead of having an on and off style faucet it had push knob that would pop out every 15 seconds. Therefore, you need to keep pushing the knob to keep the water running. Towels, toilet paper and soap was limited. TV did not work on either of the rooms. I had. You are not allowed to eat in the room. A room for four people only had enough coffee for one. There wasn’t a store nearby that I could get coffee on my own. There were no cups in the room. Just two little ones for the Nespresso machine. If you like American coffee, the only place to get coffee was in the second floor café. Even though we had a private room with shower, this is a hostel hotel. The problem was with the description in Expedia was not good. We reviewed the description several times but nowhere in Expedia or other websites did it state the condition of the stay. If you’re accustomed to standard hotels with full sets of towels, working TV, blower, normal showers do not go to this hotel. Some of the hostesses were very good and some were very bad. They were not diligent about resolving any issues. If I would’ve known what I was getting into, I would’ve paid the additional hundred dollars a day to stay at a regular hotel or an Airbnb.

The beds are very private and cozy, I especially liked the busy bar, it was great ambience and had a variety of locals and visitors so gave us opportunity to meet people. Location was close to Notre Dame, the Latin district, and the Basilica. It was quiet but not too spooky.

The kitchen lacks supplies especially to boil water. It's alright cause there is a bar you can ask for hot h20. There is a fridge to store your food. A common room for us to chill. I like the location of the hostel which is close to the metro and even to the bus station terminal.

The facility is very modern and in a good location with easy access to the metro and train system. Also walking distance to louvre and notre dame if you're not in a rush. Staff were very friendly however front desk often very busy with only one staff available meaning long queue even for minor issues. The bathrooms were fine though the showers had a timer on them so every 10 seconds you had to restart the shower which was increasingly frustrating with each night. Also one of the guests in my room had an unfortunate smell, obviously not much the accommodation can do about this guest but the limited amount of ventilation available made it difficult to mitigate the issue as the window could only be left ajar despite the fellow guests nausea inducing smell. Overall for what your paying it a good place to stay no extra frills does what it need. Curtains in beds appreciated.

Great location: a short walk from Notre Dame Cathedral. The staff was helpful and friendly. The large 2nd floor, that functions as a bar, restaurant, or just as a place to hang out is nice. I liked the buffet breakfast, too. There is a nice kitchen on each floor (but I didn't use any). There was also a man's and woman's bathroom on each floor, with multiple toilet and shower stalls, that came in handy in situations where our private bathroom was being used by one of my roommates

This is a 5-star hostel but it’s not suitable for families and I’m not sure why they offer their services to families as their set up only suits backpackers. We didn’t find it suitable for a family of 4. We hit a heatwave and the room was not air conditioned. A very difficult stay for our kids. Showers don’t suit families with children.

Excellent location, one block from the Seine River and the Sully-Morland metro station, and a seven-minute walk from Notre Dame Cathedral. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. The room was spacious for four people, and \"pleasant\", although it was hot (in summer) because they didn't allow you to adjust the AC temperature and it appears to be off or set to a high-eco temperature; the room had a standing fan, but it wasn't enough for four people. Overall, it's a good value for the price.

Private room in a hostel

While it was advertised as a hotel, it is really a hostel with some private rooms. Although the room was private and had an en suite bathroom, the towels, linens, pillows and furniture were all hostel quality. The 15 second timer on the shower (think public restroom sink operation) and lack of air conditioning were supposedly for \"the environment\". However, the downright icy conditions in the lobby and restaurant/co-working space/bar tells me they are looking to save money and care more about the comfort of their employees than their guests.
