This hotel was just what I needed between travel days. With the beautiful weather I could easily stroll to the Seine and the Viaduct, and there are lots of restaurants in the area. I had single room- and it was really comfortable, clean & cozy!!

The room was small, but satisfactory and really sweetly designed… We did have a little bit of an issue in the shower area getting out of the tub safely…
We loved the common area and little bites of food available to us… We really loved our check in monsieur ~ he was so very kind to us~ we also loved the area and easy walking distance to Boulangerie Bo, and other local restaurants as well as quick walking distance to Gare de Lyon, Rue de Cremieux and even a kind veggie shop at the corner!

We were only there one night, but we were very cozy and we would definitely stay here again. Merci beaucouo

Great location. Next to the metro and lots of dining within walking distance. Beautiful area of Paris. Unfortunately I was in my first trimester of pregnancy when we stayed and the area smelled like onions. Caused me to vomit a few times, even in the room. Probably to the non-pregnant nose it is fine. The rooms are small and the elevator is very small. But we had all our needs met and the staff was very kind.

Great spot for a few days in Paris

Stayed here during a weekend trip to Paris with my daughter. The room was nice and clean. Perfect for one or two guests but too small for more. Air conditioning worked well and is a must for Paris in August. The area was perfect. Close to the train station but also close enough to walk to the sites. 20-30 minute walk to Notre Dame, for example. Breakfast was well priced for what is provided. Eggs, yogurt, bread, cheese, tea, coffee, musli, etc. Staff were very friendly!

Having stayed in their Brussels property I thought this would be perfect for a one night stay. The room itself was just ok, not a lot of thought went into the room design, with boxes mounted to the walls that you hit your head on and no where to hang a long coat. The shower is so so tiny it is impossible to shower without spilling water everywhere in the bathroom even with a shower curtain. Overall not an enjoyable stay.

Nice and convenient hotel near Gare de Lyon

This hotel, located very close to Gare de Lyon, was a great choice for my short stay in Paris. My superior room was a nice size and very clean. The room was quiet. And the breakfast buffet provided a nice selection of dishes. The bathroom was very small, as is so often the case in French hotel, but functional. One weaker point: not a single electric outlet next to the bed to recharge phones and watches.

I’ve never been so disgusted in my whole life pulled up the sheets and they were all stained yellow. They did refund me and let me go somewhere else but we were so grossed out we couldn’t stay. Wasted so much of a day finding somewhere else to stay

But seriously the cleaning staff need to be changing the bed sheets in between stays… My boyfriend and i found many things with the roon that werent clean prior to our arrival including the carpet, the sink and bath. The hairs ib the bed was the worst part of it… apart from that the breakfast was great and location was amazing but seriously the cleanliness needs to step up

Very disappointing stay in a chain I usually prefer, more so as the price was at a premium. While the decor is standard 9Hotel, our room was too small (even for Paris - should have been sold as a single), had no ventilation apart from wide-opening the window to the (major) street, had no hot water and when we reported were mansplained by the staff - twice - instead of fixing it. The room also had no hang space apart from at waist height under a shelf and nowhere to hang a wet outdoor coat and the only power point was under the fire alarm so making tea set it off. Dreadful room (#49), avoid at all costs.

This was a great last minute find for us after our vacation rental cancelled the morning of our trip. The hotel was cute and clean and the staff, available 24-7, were gentle and nice. When we asked about the possibility of switching to a different room, since ours was very small, they let us go look at the available alternative. We ultimately decided to keep our room and make the best of it. We had already settled in and by then it felt like ours. The view from our window was looking down to a cute street Rue d'Austerlitz and the main street Rue de Lyon. The bathroom only had a glass half panel and no curtain, but the bathtub was huge and made for a great relaxing bubble bath experience. The room and bedding were very clean. We had tv and wifi without issues. The elevator was cute and tiny, but there were stairs, and since it's Paris, well, what's another 5 flights? Also, they were a bit stingy with the bath towels. I don't think we got the additional towels we requested, but not a deal breaker at all. It actually ended up being a great location, close Gare de Lyon, several metro stops, walking distance to Place de la Bastille, and restaurants including L'Étincelle, which was open late thankfully, and the service like most we experienced was excellent. Just below us was La Parisienne boulangerie. We stopped there every morning for coffee and croissants and other pastries. We also had baguette sandwiches there for lunch one day. Overall I would recommend 9Hotel Bastille-Lyon.

The hotel was comfortable and conveniently located, perhaps not quite as nice as it appeared on their promotional pics. Room was small but the bed was comfortable.

There was a bit of noise from the street, and our visit was on a warm evening. The air con didn't seem to be controllable from the room, so it was a case of street noise and fresh air vs. warm and stuffy room.

Breakfast was decent, and staff were mostly friendly and attentive, which helped to create a relaxed atmosphere.

Very nice hotel. Clean and comfortable. Very friendly and accommodating front desk staff. Great location near Gare de Lyon train/metro station for quick and easy access to main Paris attractions. Plenty of dining/coffee/bars nearby. Hotel rooms were small (by North American standards), but well laid out and serviceable. Breakfast (extra charge) was worth it. Nice selection of bread, pastries, cold cuts, fruit, and coffee. Breakfast room staff were good at clearing the tables and topping up the food buffet. The very small elevator could be a problem for guests with a lot of luggage or mobility issues. We only used it upon arrival and departure when we had luggage. The rest of the time we used the stairs (good exercise). As a minor critique, I would suggest the addition of a few extra hooks on the wall might help with storage. Overall, we would stay here again and recommend it to tourists looking for accommodation in Paris.

Everything was very nice -- room clean and comfortable, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast tasty. But the scent in the lobby and other common areas was much too strong. Please remember that about 30% have fragrance sensitivities and that technically, artificial scents are air pollution.

Hotel was pretty much as described so no surprises!
I would have expected some drinking water in my room- I was desperately thirsty after my journey from the uk. They did have a jug of water on reception but there were no cups/glasses to pour into and no staff to be seen to help with this.
Also I tried ringing reception on the number given several times and nobody answered!
On the first day at breakfast the fire alarm went off and continued for around 15 minutes maybe more! It was very loud (great safety feature) but nobody seemed to be able to turn it off. My ears were ringing for ages afterwards and nobody came to let us know what was going on or to apologise.
On the whole though the hotel was decent and in a safe and accessible area.

Great two night stay at the hotel. Rooms are small but in keeping with Paris, but well decorated, clean and comfortable enough! Liked the downstairs 24 hours a day coffee machine and tea facilities for guests. Fire alarm went off in middle of night and early morning one day, but hotel apologised for the accidental disturbance. Would stay again when visiting Paris. Convenient location with nearby laundry facility.

A magnificent stay in the City of Lights

Being at the 9Hotel Bastille-Lyon was an inspired choice for my first ever stay in Paris, France. The location is great for those who want to explore the city at their own pace without a lot of overpowering hustle and bustle, with two Metro stations and Gare De Lyon nearby. The room was comfortable and clean, and admittedly the one thing I would do different for my next stay is to see about getting a room with a bigger shower stall if possible but I still made it work, haha. But that one thing pales in comparison to the peace and comfort I found here. You get that feeling the moment you walk through the doors. I also want to give my thanks to the lovely staff especially the clerk who helped me check in late after a harried journey from Charles de Gaulle my first morning. I will definitely remember this hotel well in my memories of Paris and hope to get back soon!

I loved the room that I was in. It had two French windows one could open, looking out onto the street. There were trees on one side for shade and nice planters. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was a blessing after my long journey to Paris. The room also smelled fresh. The front desk people were kind, and I was allowed to store my luggage for a few hours after I checked out but before my train was scheduled to leave. I will definitely stay here again.
