Decent boutique hotel near Gare Du Lyon; but for $300/night with all taxes and fees (early March, 2026), it’s not very good value. It feels more like a 3-star hotel. The breakfast was fine, but nothing to write home about. Rooms are small and decently appointed, and the bed and shower were good. Couldn’t connect to the WiFi.

First sign was a locked entrance (apparently unsafe area?). Ordered suite but room & bathroom were tiny. No closet. Tiny chairs (toddler size). Safe didn’t work. Most importantly, the man at the front desk raised his voice at me about breakfast while the wait staff was being courteous in our discussion. The coffee in the room is only instant powder and if you ask downstairs for coffee, it’s €3. If the staff offers you a croissant, the man at the reception will tell you it’s €17 because that’s the cost of the breakfast and he can’t charge for only a croissant. Even though I didn’t ask for the croissant, he proceeded to scold me for having it on a plate because I didn’t include breakfast on my reservation.
I left the croissant and coffee stating I’ll go out for these things but that he was being unreasonable and I wasn’t aware that the items carried a charge. We stayed here for 3 nights my wife said it was one of the comfiest beds she has ever slept in on any hotel (and we have been lucky enough to stay in some rather fancy ones. Really well appointed bathroom. Paris hotels are not famed for their size but all 6ft 3” of me found this perfect. The staff were amazing and went above and beyond to fix one small issue I had other hotels can learn from this 100% would stay again plus some really amazing neighbourhood restaurants within a 10 min walk of the hotel, safe area also.

The staff at the Parisianer were wonderful. We arrived from an overnight flight and the desk staff put our luggage in storage until a room could be made available. He had us in a room by 9:00 am and we were able to get a nap before heading out. The facilities and rooms are very clean although some of the lobby chairs could use a cleaning. Now for the bad, the thermostat didn’t work in our room so we could not cool the room down at night. Because there was so much noise in the street we couldn’t open the windows to cool the room. The hotel is located across from the service entrance to another larger hotel and they are constantly moving stuff in and out of there at all times of the night. The tv had very limited stations, I’m thinking that the tv channel programming was not up to date. The hotel offers a breakfast. It was ok except that there are many more options in the area, from cafes to patisseries .

I lost my luggage on the first day and waiting to retrieve it that whole day, we noticed the staff that we were able to get the call even that’s midnight. Great little hotel - don't expect anything super spacious, but the location is fantastic with great proximity to the train station to get you just about anywhere you need to go. Lots of local restaurants, cafes with many open late. The breakfast was a bit less than I expected for the price, but it was still good quality.

We chose this hotel because of its proximity to Gare de Lyon, which was very convenient coming from Lyon and heading to the airport. The hotel staff were great, upgrading our room to an executive room when our original booking wasn't available. The breakfast was good. The street was noisy for a ground floor room, though.

If you are coming from CDG, know your commute by car will be long. If you are coming from Orly, you will probably reach in under 30 mins.
There was construction right in front of the hotel, so it made going in and out hard. Especially since the grounds were like sandish/mud due to the constant rain. Not good for suitcases. And I’m not entirely sure it was mentioned when reviewing the hotel initially.
The hotel is steps away from Gare de Lyon, which is connected to everything. Absolutely loved that. Note it is about 40 mins via train from the Eiffel area. Also 1.25 hrs from Versailles. (Tip- get the day pass for zones 1-4. You can use that for the whole day and it will cover transportation to and from Versailles)

I chose this hotel because it was close to the train station but was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked the neighborhood! At the suggestion of the staff we walked across the Viaduct (among the spontaneous salsa dancing) through the Place de Bastille and into Ile St Louis for the best dinner (and ice cream) we had the entire 2 weeks we were in France. The room itself, although small (you pretty much have to keep most things in your suitcase) was very clean and comfortable. We had a super comfy king sized bed. The bathroom was very nice and the provided Clarins lotion smelled heavenly. The breakfast was quite good and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We would've gladly stayed there longer than one night.
