This whole place is like a rat trap. It felt like 1960 Russia I would not recommended. The bed had a dip in the middle the TV are the size of 1970 black and white. Just not the place I would recommend

Our apartment was older but well kept. It had everything you need, the only thing that would be nice to have is air conditioning, but at least we could leave the windows open on the 6th floor. The area was quite central and a short walk to many dining options.

Wouldn’t stay here again. Would say it’s 2 star at best. Room very small and old. Mould in bathroom, bad smell in separate toilet with no ventilation. Shower very weak. No air conditioning so very warm. Sofa bed for the children hard and uncomfortable. Photos make it look deceptively modern.

Disappointed in the hotel overall - some of front desk staff have attitude problems, older kitchen, bathroom and room; toilet separate from bathroom and directly next to kitchen; no heater in toilet and kitchen;;bathtub is high and dangerous to step in and out of and lacked a shower curtain or a full closing glass door; low water pressure for showering; lack of towels/wash cloth; must return used towel for a fresh one and no daily housekeeping service! You will be charged an additional €25-35 if you request additional @essentials” and housekeeping service. Kitchen is outdated with minimum utensils; no welcoming atmosphere in rooms; little heat; no AC for summer months just a small table top fan provided ; thin walls and can hear neighbors; bed is very hard with poking coils and uncomfortable and has a plastic mattress cover making it extremely difficult to sleep; bed is super hard in your b;lack of any English channels on TV; no smart TV so therefore you cannot access Netflix; Prime, Hulu or Youtube WiFi works ok when it doesn’t drop. Only bare bone minimums in everything!

A non-refundable payment was due at the time of booking - I would have left to find another place if I could get my money back. The photos on the websites are very deceiving. This place really could use an overhaul. The only good thing about this place is the location and it is close to the Gare DeLyon, Metro stops and buses; lots of restaurants are all within walking distance.

This apartment style stay is one of my best overseas stay. I love the soft and comfortable bed and pillows. They smell really clean, like freshly washed linen.
The room looks new, though not modern. The room also smells fresh. Even the toilet is clean. The bathroom does not have stains, and the bathtub is well scrubbed.
I am very fussy about cleanliness, this property ticks all the boxes for cleanliness.
I love that I can open the window and let in fresh air and light. There's a small balcony with small table and chair, and I can look at the trees outside.
The nearest apartment is quite a distance away, so there is privacy.
The cooking facilities are there (no chopping board though?). I can make simple cooking for myself and enjoy hot drink before heading out.
It is very near the Metro, and there are some shops and eateries there. The people I met are friendly at the shops.

Reception staff were kind and helpful. Location is excellent. Near metro station. If you walk to the one closer to the MacDonald you can buy train tickets there. The one closer to rue chalingny street doesn’t have tickets it’s just an entrance and exit. I bought a day pass for 8.50 euros….and it finished at midnight. U can jump on any metro as many times as you want. Gare Du Lyon train station also near. If you have lasted suitcase you need an Uber can’t walk it - Uber cost me 10 euros to the station. There are many supermarkets mini Marta close by. Apartment is well equipped kitchen. Lacked cooking utensils though like spatula and spoons..other than that it was fine. Note there is no AC - so it was pretty hot. Had a fan though. There is no cleaning service - u have to go to reception and ask for extra things like towels and toilet paper. It’s in a great location walking distance to Bastille and Gare Du Lyon…lots of restaurants etc. unit was a little dated.

The advertisement for this hotel is absolutely misleading. The pictures are NOTHING like the reality. The rooms and corridors are filthy. On the first night we had no power for 3hrs and nobody in reception knew how to resolve.

Cons: The interior is dirtier than the photos post online. Saw a big and obvious stain on the bed sheet when we open the room door and asked them to change the sheet right away. Weird odor comes out from the fridge. Air flow is not very good. A lot of mosquitoes flies in when we open the window. Non smoking building but the guests who live beneath us smoke in the balcony at night and made our room smells even worse. Although this may not be the hotel’s fault.

Pros: The front desk employees are friendly and answer all the questions. The location is very good and convenient. Plenty of restaurants, grocery stores and metro line in the area.

Being on line 1 of the metro was good. Breakfast room was closed but that was due to Covid. My room was outside the main corridor and that worried me a bit as i had to access a door to get into the corridor each day. I was always concerned in case the card didn't work. I was glad to have staff always at the front desk. Some properties have virtual checkin, which I don't like.

Perfect place to stay! A two minute walk to a Metro station, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Our studio was meticulously clean (and we did check, as we're both somewhat neurotic about cleanliness), with everything we needed (including a microwave, hob, hairdryer, fan, television, lockable safe and more) and the staff were very friendly and helpful, speaking to us in fluent English when our beginner's French failed us (which was often). We'll definitely be staying here again.

The front of the property is completely covered in scaffolding and curtain netting/metal gutters to catch falling debris so I would recommend avoiding the rooms on the street until renovation is complete (6 months over the low season 2019/2020). I requested a move to a room at the back of the property and was given an apartment overlooking the garden which was absolutely lovely. The concierge team are helpful, courteous and tolerant of tourists with poor French language skills.

This hotel is dirty and gross. I’m shocked by all the great reviews. You only get housekeeping on the 6th night if you stay that long. Otherwise no clean towels. There’s also no AC so be prepared to have your window open and smell everything from your neighbors who are right next door. The rooms smelled like mildew and the fold out couch smelled like cigarette smoke. The front desk staff is rude and unhelpful. This really isn’t a great deal for this area, I think you can find much better places if you keep looking. We regret staying here.

Wonderful relaxing apartment style hotel. Kitchenette in room with 3 supermarkets in one block radius meant we could eat in if we wanted. Perfect area - a short trip on the Metro line to the main tourist destinations without staying in a tourist area. Really kind and helpful reception staff - helped with all of our requests with a smile. Would stay again next week!

Worst value per dollar possible

Although the staff was nice, and the rooms were spacious, this place is the worst value for my money I have ever spent in my life. I paid 225 Euros per night for a place that was less nice and had less amenities than hotels in Paris I have stayed where I have paid 80 EUR a night.

The building is in mediocre condition. There is no air conditioning. No daily room cleaning service. The breakfast is mediocre and overpriced. The Internet was excruciatingly slow, making it impossible to work from the hotel.

There is a general feeling of thriftiness and cost-cutting at the consumer's expense for a room which is already severely overpriced.

The garage is terrible: ramp and alleys way too narrow even for a medium car.

be careful if you are going there in Summer time. This hotel with no air conditioning through out the whole hotel. Only have a portable fan in room, but the one in my room doesn't swirl and it made me sick after one night. The Wi-Fi signal wasn't very good in the room, you barely can use it. You should able to find a better hotel in this price.

This was an overnight arriving at 2am and leaving at 8 am. No problem checking in at that time, night porter efficient and friendly.
The room is a small apartment which would be great if spending g a few days here.
Not sure about the local area but metro stop v close by for line 1 and Gare de Lyon maybe half a mile away.
Room opened to the back garden so v quiet. Nice trees and a pigeon nesting right outside the window. Lovely dappled sunshine on a gorgeous sunny day.

Excellent location. Very quite at night, but with very good restaurants \"Les Bombis\" and Supermarket within the block.
Less that 1 block from the metro station (Line 3) which connects directly to Champs Elysees, Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Louvre and Orsay museums.
Room was clean but staying five nights, cleaning the room should be done at least after 3 days.
Washing machine and dryer are extremely old and small. Need replacement.
The building has 2 elevators. One was not working which is annoying for the cleaning staff and for the guests.

We stayed one night at the Citadines Bastille hotel after our Airbnb fell through. The hotel staff were kind although communication was challenging at times. The room (on the main floor) was clean and spatious by European standards but did not have A/C. The location of the hotel is a short walk to the Metra, but there are limited options for food nearby.

A week in Paris

The apparent distance between the main attractions and this hotel turned out to be an advantage as we really got to see daily Parisian life and fewer tourists like us, 3 Americans. The Metro connections were outstanding, frequent and friendly. The hotel's neighborhood had restaurants, bakeries, medical services, supermarkets, wine stores galore. Metro station is 1/2 a block round the corner and can buy tickets at one end of the station. Rooms were simple but foe about a hundred bucks a night you can't get better anywhere else. Receptionist Isis was amazing at providing instructions of any kind in English. Always a nice friendly smile on her face. One of the elevators did not work during our stay and there was any indication it would be fixed. I don't know what would have happened if the only one elevator functioning would have stopped... A great perk! Coffee at the breakfast area 24/7... Great!

Stayed 4 night, the area was fine. Didn't see much of the staff because I was always out, but when I did they were friendly on arrival and departure.

I would recommend the hotel to anyone, the apts had mini-kitchens which would be good for families or even long stays.

Great service for transportation

I felt that the breakfast should be part of the room cost as it was in Amsterdam and Zurich. My wife and I also felt pushing twin beds together is a poor substitute for a queen or king size. When we cuddled in the morning, one of us almost fell on the floor as the beds separated.

2 min walk from the \"Reuilly - Diderot\" metro station, pleasing & helpful staff. \"Citadines\" is a chain of Hotel and hence appreciably good. A room with cocking utensils and oven, stove makes life easier during travel.

We booked this hotel as it had a separate bedroom and we wanted to stay with 2 kids. You do get the space and a kitchen which are the positives. But, the hotel is in dire need of some TLC - it is very dated and worn. There is no wow factor on any level, it's basic and practical. It's not also too close to Gare Du Lyon (7-8min walk, there is a metro station nearer). There are nearer hotels (Mercure, Novotel, Ibis). We've also stayed in the Novotel (in one room) and would recommend over this.

Great base to explore Paris from on a budget

Kitchenette a bit tired and fridge had bad odour but rest of the place very clean. A perfect base for seeing the Paris sights on a budget and preparing some meals at home using local produce. Staff very friendly and helpful and spoke several languages.

Good location but problem with cleanliness and bug

I chose this hotel because of its convenient location to the metro, restaurants and shops, in addition to my preference for having a kitchenette to make my own coffee in the mornings. It met all those preferences. Unfortunately, the hotel has a policy of only cleaning the rooms once a week so it is not surprising that the rooms are shabby and worse affected by bugs. On my return flight home I found my upper are itching terribly and discovered that I had three bug bites in a linear row. After some online research I discovered that this is the patter for bed bugs. I alerted the hotel about this issue and they refused to take responsibility or make amends. Indeed they insisted that they were mosquito bites (in the winter month of December in a city hotel???). This corporate response is unfortunate because the staff that works at the hotel is lovely and always helpful.

The hotel has an efficiency kitchen with refrigerator and stove, so, you don't have to eat every meal out. Plus, there is a small grocery store across the street where you can buy food, drink, toothpaste, etc. There is a very nice patisserie at the end of the street past the grocery store where you can get coffee, pasteries, sandwiches, kiche, and other items. The quality is good. Across the street is also a shop that repairs clothing in case the need should arise. Practically next door is a laundramat. The metro station, Reuilly-Diderot, is within a couple of hundred feet and two metro lines run there including the main line Metro 1 that will take you to the Gare de Lyon, Hotel de Ville, Chatelet shopping area, the Louvre, and all the stops along the Champs Elysees. The hotel is NOT airconditioned. There are small safes in the rooms. More important, there are safes in a secure room across from the check-in desk where valuables can be secured. I used it every day. Never a problem with it

Greeting was very cold and rude, we arrived at 10am and were told are room wasnt ready and to come back at 3, had to ask if there is a place to put our suitcases (family of 4), we got only 1 fan for our room with a 2 bedroom that has NO centrel air, when ask for another fan we were told we can only have one. Clean towels are extra money??!! 4 days of using the same towel is unacceptable for the money we paid. I have traveled around the world and this is by far the worst hotel I have been in. Visited June 28/2015

Bad first impression

We had to wait a long time for our room to be ready and there was no manager on duty to raise our dissatisfaction. This already left us with a bad first impression. The hotel was very close to the metro and made travelling everywhere in the city easy. There is a wonderful food market closeby that sells fresh produce, and it is also open on Sundays.

Could not stay at this hotel!! Had to switch!

The room smelled horrible and was extremely hot. After we checked in, we were advised that there was no A/C (only a small fan). My bad! I was considering staying at 3 other Citadine hotels, and they all had A/C. Didn't notice this one did not. The agent at the front desk was very helpful and called 2 other Citadine hotels which had A/C to see if they had availability. We were able to switch to another hotel (but were still charged for one night at this hotel as we did not cancel before checking in). It was worth losing $300 as I could not see myself and kids staying in that room a single night!

I was in Paris for four nights. I spent 2 nights at this hotel and, as it had no vacancy for the last 2 nights, at the Bastille Marais one. This hotel is obviously older than the Bastille Marais one, but at almost 1/2 the price, I prefer this one. We had a quiet room facing the garden. There were plenty of shops around the hotel and the metro is literally just around the corner. As we were self catering, there weren't many services available apart from the reception and left luggage. But this is to be expected. There were enough towels, cooking utensils and cutleries to whiz up an adequate dinner. Perfect for the budget conscious travellers.

Great location, good for large stay.

My wife and me spend three nights and we can use the refrigerator, microwave, etc. was very helpful.
Supermarkets crossing the Street and around the corner.The metro station in the corner.
You must to pay the daily changes of towels and making the beds.

Excellent location in Paris

Excellent location as it is just 2 min walk from Metro station connects to both line 8 and 1. A convenient store and several restaurants sit on the same street as the hotel. The small kitchen in the apartment is very well equipped and clean.

The downside is that the hotel room is a bit dated and need a refurbishment. Further, during our 3 days stay we had to activate our room access Every Single Day, that's annoying.

Overall a good value hotel in Paris and would consider to stay again.

Hotel was nice, but, washroom facilities could be improved. Our shower did not drain properly and we often, because of time, having to shower in +/- 4\" of standing tub water. The shower would eventually drain and was not easily cleanable as we would head out for the day and return in the evening. They do not clean the rooms on a daily basis and there really aren't any supplies to clean yourself (not that you want to on vacation). Other than that, good location and overall nice room.
