The room was very clean and well appointed, although relatively small. Breakfast is reasonable with plenty to choose from.

Good option if you want to stay in Paris central, but away from the craziness of other more congested areas. Short walk to Metro lines which go everywhere. Bakery down the street around the corner for breakfast, and cafe / restaurants very near. Tiny elevator for 2 (but hey, that’s the Old World for ya), very helpful desk staff. Tiny room but there is a closet for hanging clothes and windows that open. TV has only French & Spanish channels, BBC feed not working. It’s a bit small room but fine for couple days stay when you’re not going to be in the room much. Did not order breakfast. They have luggage drop too.

Stayed here to catch the train at Garo de Lyon. The walk was a little further than expected especially if traveling with luggage but overall great 1 night stay. Staff were very helpful and welcoming and provided us with detailed instructions along with a map. Room was small with no AC but luckily we stayed in March when it was still cool outside so we were able to prop the window open. Restaurants were also all walking distance with great choices all around. Would recommend to anyone looking for a short stay.

Hotel de Venise is a small property in walking distance from the Gare de Lyon. Some rooms are quite small, but every room I have stayed in (I've been visiting this hotel for a decade) is immaculate, and the bathrooms are large and ultra modern. The staff are welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended.

This was a fine spot to stay for anyone needing walking access to the Gare de Lyon. The room, bathroom, and elevator were all small but clean, and those at the front desk were welcoming and helpful.

Rooms are small, yes, but everything else is great, clean, hyper friendly owner and staff, if you can get it get one of the street facing room on the top you'll get a cute balcony with a table and chairs, the breakfast buffet is good and inexpensive (9.5 euro).

Overall a great place to stay. It's super close to the train station and the main street where you'll have an abundance of tech, clothing, and food to shop around for. The room was cleaned every day, with fresh towels each day and new bedsheets every other day. An elevator is provided and breakfast is offered for a fee (although, we didn't choose it so nothing to say).
Some downsides were how small the shower was and how easy it is to hear noise from outside the windows and door. The shower is only big enough for a grown adult to turn around on the spot. You'd have to carefully move your arms around to avoid knocking elbows into the walls and shower doors. It is also very easy to hear noise from outside the door and windows. There are some bars and restaurants opened late around the adjacent streets so any loud conversations can seep through.
Regardless, it was an overall very pleasant stay and we would definitely choose to stay at the place again if given the choice.

This was, for us, the perfect hotel. The metro stop is down the block and around the corner. There are bakeries and restaurants nearby. There is a laundromat in the same block.

Too firm, to be honest, but better than saggy! Cute little 2-person elevator, just like I was hoping for. Not sure if TV worked, as we didn't figure out how to use remote. Hairdryer was too close to wall and you had to keep your finger on the switch to work it, but better than no dryer, for sure. Full-length mirror was nice. Toiletries very basic but replenished daily. Overall, an 8, due to hard bed and noise.

Convenient location as we were catching a train on to Zurich from the Gare dear Lyon the next day. Receptionist was friendly and welcoming. He recommended a traditional French restaurant near the hotel called La Boutique which we went to and had a very enjoyable meal.

Worst hotel - EVER!!! Please read before booking!
Absolutely the WORST hotel experience ever which is saying a lot as we have traveled the world both on business and pleasure! WiFi was an absolute joke. When we told the owner he said it was their provider and so not his problem. Room was tiny. They have a policy that you can only have one key total so if traveling with someone else you can’t go out separately because only one of you can have a key. Plus the key is the only way to turn on the electricity to the room. You plug the key into a socket which in turns allows electricity. So if you leave the room you cannot charge a phone, leave a light on, etc. Finally this hotel actually about 1/2 mile from the train station (Train a Grande Vitesse). I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Great overall experience. All hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is really lovely for only 2 stars. The next metro is only a 3 minute walk from the hotel and the connection to the city centre is really easy. We had a lovely time there and there was absolutely nothing to complain about.

Quaint and Quiet
The room is a little small but that is only because my friend and I were squeezed together. It’s the perfect amount of space for being in Paris because you won’t spend a lot of time in the hotel anyway. The area is very quiet at night and we felt very safe and comfortable walking around even at midnight. The metro is incredibly close (less than 5 min) and there are a lot of shops and restaurants around the nieghborhood. The staff is very accommodating and they speak excellent French and English. The view is one of the best things about the place! I will definitely be staying here again when I come back!

The reception staff very friendly. He can speak English, Spanish and Germany. The hotel have very small and unique lift. Feel like living in 60s which is very cool. The room is very small. The bathroom is quite good but shower area is very small. Just fit for one person. The heater is not really hot. We set at max setting but the room still feel cold. We just stay under the bed. The room have 1 wardrobe and a TV. The location is quite far to bus stop and metro station. The environment is very quite. Near to one lebanese halal restaurant. Close to Bercy station and easy to walk to from the nearest Metro station, this was perfect for our needs. A cozy room to stay in for a night! The front desk gentleman was very nice and patient and even walked outside to help us understand directions to Bercy station. Bed was cozy and warm, small desk available, large armoire also. Leave the key with the front desk upon every exit from the hotel. Wonderful.

We used the hotel as a stopover for Orly airport from Nantes, so really wasn't a problem, but the room was small - the bed, a small table and about fifty centimetres all the way round the bed to walk. Someone was banging in nails in the room next door when we arrived and continued for an hour or so, but the bathroom was almost as large as the bedroom, the shower excellent, and the location very convenient for the Metro into central Paris (5 minutes to Metro station and 10 minutes by Metro). €75 for the night would have been better. With our reduction we paid €89. I think the 'normal' price was €135 which would not have been good value for money for this room.

A typical Paris Hotel
We stayed at this hotel on the last day of our holiday in France. The hotel is located within walking distance of the Gare de Lyon with its RER connection airport Charles De Gaulle. The bathroom was somewhat tired, but clean. Our 5th floor room was small but comfortable with an unexpected plus - a balcony with table and chairs looking out on the streets of Paris. This hotel is good value for the money and ideal for spending a night.

Just stayed one night to access the airport in the morning. Like all two stars in Paris the room and bathroom were tight. Staff were pleasant and the room and bathroom were clean. We would use this hotel again. Very handy to Gare de Lyon and Air France Les Cars.

One night stay prior to catching flight at CDG Int'l. Room smallish for 2 each with accompanying suitcase, but clean and quiet even if at front of hotel. Excellent breakfast in clean and cheerful eating area. Good value shuttle service to airport available. Lots of food shops in area, but eating places limited, esp with late arrival. Could not get shower to work and shaving mirror missing connector screw. Majority of TV Chanel's not available. Cooking odours from neighbouring restaurant in mid morning.

We stayed at the Hotel de Venise for two nights. During this time €300 was stolen from the locked safe in our room. We know that it was €300 because we had counted the spare cash that had been locked in the safe and we made a note of it. The money was taken during our last evening at this hotel.
The money was counted a short while before we went out for our evening meal. We returned a few hours later and remained in the hotel room until next morning. We checked the money again first thing the next morning and found it to be missing €300. There was no sign of forced entry into the room or into the safe. The person that took the money apparently had easy access to the room and safe. The money taken was only part of the money in the safe. Presumably the person taking this money expected that the money taken would not be missed immediately.
The person that took the money may have known that we would be checking out first thing in the morning.
It could be that the person or persons have done this on previous occasions where they enter the room and take some of the money so as not to arouse suspicion.
Two other parties that were travelling with us and were in the same hotel also had money taken at the same time.
The hotel management were advised and apologised, but did not have any interest in investigating the incident.
Our recommendation for this hotel is to NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.

Ideal location for Gare de Lyon
Room was small, but clean and refurbished. The decor was stylish and interesting. Its an ideal location if you need to catch an early train from Gare de Lyon, since the station is less than 10 min walk from the hotel. Otherwise, its a quiet residential area with some small shops and restaurants. The staff were helpful and friendly.
