Disappointing for a 3 star: old furniture, dysfunctional bathroom. For French standards, to me this is just an average 2 stars.
However, comfortable bed and fairly quiet room if you're facing the back for the building.
Only advantage : right next to the Bercy suway station and a 3-min walk to the Accord Arena Concert Hall.

Accueil quelconque, chambre propre mais est loin de la photo que l'on peu voir. Mobilier assez vieux et ma chaise était loin d'être dans la meilleure de sa forme et j'ai eu peur de rester assis dessus. Douche petite et le pommeau que j'avais était très petit, suffisant pour un enfant. Cependant, la pression de l'eau était correcte. Literie correcte et assez confortable. A part cela, pour un soi disant 3*, il n'y a rien dans la chambre, pas de mouchoirs papiers, même pas un plateau bouilloire et il y 2 distributeurs de savon, un dans la douche et l'autre près du lavabo. Pour moi, c'est un 2* déguisé en 3*. Seul avantage de cette hôtel est qu'il est proche de l'Accor Arena de Bercy. Maintenant, vous savez ce que vous avez ou pas pour le prix que vous payez. Affaire d'impression ?? Petit déjeuner buffet à 16€, très mal vendu par le personnel que je n'ai pas eu le courage de l'essayer et en voyant la salle le matin, qui avait l'air très morose j'ai pas osé le tenter. Par sur que je réserve à nouveau cette hôtel lors de ma prochaine visite à Bercy.

The staff here were absolutely wonderful they were very friendly and helpful, which really made our stay enjoyable. The hotel itself is quite dated and could benefit from some upkeep, and we did notice ants during our stay I wouldn’t say it’s clean. The condition doesn’t fully reflect the photos online. That said, it’s a budget-friendly option, and while the building could use updates, the staff truly stand out. Personally, I might choose to pay a bit more next time for a hotel closer to the main area.

Exactly what you expect for a budget hotel in Paris. Place was decent, extremely hot in the summer as I do not have air conditioning which nowhere in Paris does unless you’re staying somewhere super bougie. Close to the trains obviously, and the restaurants around are decent but overpriced as they are catering to tourist. Overall good bang for your buck. PS when you’re checking in make sure you’re not staying on the side where the trains are… If you wanna have your windows open, it is extremely loud till about 2:00Am in the morning and they start back up again at 6 AM

I booked that hotel on the basis of the photos, description and reviews. The room we were given had absolutely nothing in common with the photos, it was much smaller, bed much smaller, the ceiling light's wire strung across the ceiling, some kind of fruit seeds still on the arm chair, bedside tables dusty, bathroom and notably the shower in bad condition with just a shower curtain... and the list is longer even. For the price I would have expected much better even in Paris!! Only positive point for us was where it was situated which suited our travels.

I picked this property because of its proximity to Gare de Lyon. About a seven minute walk for me with large bag. I only stayed the night, but it was a great stay for my needs. The staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke pretty good English.

Hotel corridor had a stale smell. Room was hot but a fan was provided. However the fan was filthy. Stains on the floor of the wet room/bathroom. Shower head loose on the floor. Although there was a rail, there was hook to hang the shower head on. The toilet seat was loose and twisted.

I arrived earlier than the check in time and I was expecting to wait until my room is ready.
However, the receptionist offered me a coffee until they chesk room availability. I was able to check in sooner than I thought.
Room was nice and clean with two big windows overlooking the street in front of the hotel.
Walking distance to Gare de Lyon,Gare du Bercy and other transport.
I will definitely book this hotel again when I come to Paris.

The room had an odor and it gave me a headache. The room has no outlets to charge my phone. I could not sleep there. There was no air conditioner. I asked for my money back and I was yelled at and was told I couldn't get my money back. I had to leave to look for another hotel. The neighborhood seemed unsafe and was told by one of the staff the hotel was going to close in two months.

The property is a bit rough, but the rooms are clean and serviceable. Enjoyed staying here as it's close to the Metro and an easy walk to Bastille and beyond. When you pay a lot less than at other places, you can't expect a lot, yet I was pleasantly surprised.

The room was spacious, and being an attic room, I had to watch my head in some spots, but the high ceilings in other areas felt pleasant. I particularly liked the large bathroom, where I could draw a bath and relax, which was great for unwinding. The water pressure and drainage were excellent. Unusually for a European hotel, the air conditioning worked well, making the room comfortably cool and unaffected by the heatwave. The room was also very clean. However, the bathroom door was broken and didn't close properly.

J’ai réservé une chambre via hôtel .com en janvier pour fin mai. Ayant eu un impératif personnel, j’ai tenté d’annuler ma réservation bien que l’hôtel n’avait aucune obligation en ce sens.
La plateforme puis l’hôtel m’ont tout d’abord accordé mon remboursement en exigeant une justification (examens scolaires) puis changement d’avis pour me répondre négativement.

The place is very accessible by bus and metro. There are many Restaurants around. The room is ok, but no coffee or tea supply. Stayed 1 night only. Cheaper than others, has an elevator and free luggage storage. I would stay again in the future.

Mitigée. Très pratique pour assister à un concert à bercy. Ménage RAS . Cependant : trace de fond de teint sur une taie d'oreiller, pas de protège matelas juste un drap qui le protège... La première personne à qui j'ai eu affaire avait l'air dépitée. J'ai du moi même déposer mon bagage ( sans étiquette ). Le lendemain j'ai eu affaire à un autre monsieur très serviable et gentil qui lui s'est montré beaucoup plus professionnel et à étiqueté mon bagage ( donc beaucoup plus sécurisant). Les chambres sont mal insonorisées on entend ses voisins , et le bois craque au moindre mouvement des personnes au dessus. Chambre spacieuse, pratique.

Pour ce qui est de la chambre, ça n’a rien à voir avec les photos : lit petit, toilettes cassés, porte de la SDB qui ne ferme pas, tv qui ne fonctionne pas, chambre non insonorisée par la fenêtre.
Le supplément du petit dej est cher pour ce qui est proposé.

Pictures paint a very different version of reality. The hotel is so tired it should be put into retirement. Corrosion in the shower, new shower head and fittings didn’t work properly, room was very small and badly laid out for the price. You can do much better than this. Wouldn’t bother ever going back, glad it was just one night.

You get what you pay for in this hotel. I asked for a lower level room due to mobility issues, which was done for me. However, the rooms looked nithing like advertised. There were paint/ plaster patches all over, marks on the bath and no air conditioning in the room. If you stay here, I would advise to ask for a refurbished room and dont stay on the 1st floor. Lovely area and ideal to the 6 Metro into the city

Perfect for being in the city but not the chaos

Hotel Claret was perfect for our Olympic trip and will work for others as well. There is a metro entrance at the front door, good restaurants and groceries around the corner. The hotel and room are clean and we had service daily. I would highly recommend for a great price and easy ride into the center versus paying way more with less options to get around.

Very expensive price according to the type of service received. Old renovated structure. lights in the corridor working with sensor and until they turn on you walk in the dark. Structure managed entirely by foreigners and non-French people who barely speak Italian. This morning check in was scheduled for 12:00 and the women constantly knocked, disturbing us and disturbing our peace.

Yesterday afternoon another customer had the access card in our room and was able to access it while we were inside.

Chocolate croissants on request because they were already finished at 10:00 (breakfast from 07:30-10:30)

After trying this facility, I fear it is very expensive compared to the quality and service offered.

At least after all they should offer at least 30% back.

The bed was uncomfortable because the matress wasn't flat and we kept slipping to the middle of the bed.

The window had no blinds, only fabric curtains which were insufficient to prevent the street lights from coming into the room.

The shower was poorly design as the water would splash onto the floor of the bathroom when you take your shower, then you have to put at least two towels to clean it up.

The night guard told us he would wake us up by knocking on our door in the morning, but we didn't hear anything.

The breakfast fee of $16 per person is rather high when all you want to eat is a croissant or two and a cup of coffee.

Absolutely awful. I wish there was a way to post a zero star review. The room was nothing like what was advertised, it was very dirty and it was obvious the sheets hadn’t been changed. I was offered to be moved to a different room which I refused to do because the common areas were just as dirty, so I was confident all other rooms would be in that same condition. There was “no smoking” signs everywhere but the whole place reeked of cigarette smoke. We checked out immediately because the condition we found the room was obviously unacceptable, and even though we didn’t spend more than 10 minutes in the room they refused to give us a full refund.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.

Le uniche cose positive non riguardano l'hotel, difatti a suo favore c'è la posizione vicinissima alla metro, all'Accor Arena e alla stazione dei treni.
Pulizia della camera non adeguata, impossibile fare la doccia nella vasca senza allagare l'antiquato bagno, un ventilatore pieno di sporcizia messo sul tavolo, niente frigo, niente condizionatore, c'è la cassetta di sicurezza. Lenzuola pulite, ho dovuto chiedere dei teli doccia perchè non erano a disposizione. 1 sola presa della corrente lontana dai comodini.

Hotel Claret - Basic, clean, ideal location.

For the location, hotel Claret is great. Close to a main line which can get you to the main sights of Paris. We turned up late from the Eurostar and we’re quickly checked into our basic but clean room. To be honest it was perfect as it was close to the main transport links and food around us so we didn’t spend much time there. Not exactly luxury but great if you need somewhere decent to sleep and hit the main Paris sites. Not sure you could get better value in Paris despite how basic it is.

The hotel is conveniently located a two minute walk from the Bercy train station and about 5 minutes from the Seine River. From there, you can walk along the river to Notre Dame.There are several restaurants, cafés and a small grocery store by the hotel. The room is basic (no fridge, kettle or coffee pot) but clean. Check in and check out was quick and easy. There is no air conditioning in the room. There is a fan. However, since there are only two outlets in the room, you have to choose between charging your devices or using the fan. It would be very helpful if the hotel added a power strip. That would be a cheap easy fix that would make for a better experience.

Horrible stay!

The room was dirty and what looks like gray carpet looked like it hasn’t been vacuumed in a long while. There was no air conditioning in the room which is very challenging in the summer. There were ants in the bathroom which surprisingly is the cleanest area in the entire hotel room. The bed we had was caving in towards the center. Never experienced anything like it in my entire life. The rest of the non-slanting area of the bed was quite hard to sleep on. The wardrobe interior was literally rotting and very manky. We didn’t dare to put our clothes in there. The stairs was extremely dirty ans smelled of cigarettes. The receptionist was friendly and helpful but unfortunately such qualities can’t redeem this hotel. On a positive note we didn’t book more than 2 nights before heading off to the south.

Chambre vieillotte et minuscule, moquette usée ne donnant pas envie de poser les pieds nus dessus, configuration mansardée interdite aux plus de 1m50, baignoire dans la salle de bains avec obligation de se doucher à genoux... Propreté tout juste suffisante, canalisations bouchées, et service serviettes inopérant pendant mon séjour (accidentel certes, mais aucune réactivité).
Les photos du site sont très bien faites et ne révèlent en rien la réalité.
Seul le petit déjeuner tire son épingle du jeu, encore heureux compte tenu de son prix.

The property in no way matched any description or image. The carpets were dirty , the shower screen was caked in limescale and residue. The toilet had a slight leak so every 30 seconds or so it would audibly fill a little. Wardrobe poorly positioned to hit the head. The full length window with juliette balcony opened inwards so a major risk for falling. The stairs are broken and rickety in places so a major fall risk. The staff are sullen, non comunicative and ignorant. We asked to book a taxi and were met with \"no phone working\" and when asked for advise \"i don't know \" Showers were laughable. Hair dryer couldn't blow steam from a cuppa. Safe in the room was news to the staff so no hope of using it. The whole place is dirty and long overdue a deep clean and refurb.
I am an upbeat positve person who accepts lifes little problems but this place is a zero star doss house of the lowest order. Expedias own reputation is only sullied by association.

Pratique, proche métro ligne 6 et 14.

Hôtel très bien situé (métro a 1 min); prix correct. Confort acceptable. Peut-être un peu bruyant car gare de Bercy très proche. Personnel sympathique et accueillant. Une remarque : prix du petit dej exagéré pour ce qui est proposé. Mais dans l'ensemble, ça va.

The hotel was unable to check me into my room, the front staff person (Federica) was very kind, however management was not present to resolve the issue. I had to leave and find another hotel.

Place is dated. Bathroom smelled musty. Probably because of design of shower. Don’t like rugged floors in hotels. Nothing around area. Booked because of the arena. Otherwise avoid.
