Good service, terrible room insulation

The location and service were very good, they’re friendly and helpful. Unfortunately as per previous reviews, the room insulation is extremely poor and in my case it made it impossible to sleep: I could hear everything from hallway and next room, very loudly, to the point that I had to warn them not to have private conversations. I slept terribly and I recommend you ensure discussing the room before booking.

We had an overnight stay as had an early train out next day, so was in easy access to the train station. Our room was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for one night. It is close to a busy road and so there was noise till late and early morning, but this did not bother us.

This hotel is in a great location near the Gare de Lyon. The room was rather large for a Paris hotel room and had everything we needed - a safe, a refrigerator, a coffee pot, an updated bathroom, and plenty of storage.

I figured it would be small as most of the hotels are but the bathroom was extremely small, the shower door did not open fully and hit the toilet. The sink was literally the size of my hand. We did find several long black hairs around the floor and shower so it wasn’t cleaned the best. The bed was comfy and the blackout curtains were great for the early sun. The staff was nice. The tv does not play anything in English and no way to connect streaming so that wasn’t able to be used. I did have breakfast one morning though and it was not great. The eggs were “scrambled” but stuck to the pan. There was not fresh croissants or fruit. I got some yogurt and toast. Plenty of great restaurants around for a delicious breakfast (L’Europeen was our fave)

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. I had a very severe health situation and had to cancel my trip. Despite explaining in detail the situation and sending relevant medical certificates, the hotel did not even reply to my request and simply rejected any refund. They did not offer any alternative considering this was a force majeure case.

Room 44 was really quiet which was super important. No early check in. Small room but that was expected. Staff helped with electric converter attachment we didn’t have. Only issue was the bed light on one side didn’t work nor did the USB charger. The other side was fine. Did I mention the room was quiet?

They property was in a good location near Gare de Lyon which is served its purpose for what we needed for the night. Apart from that, the hotel is not great. Waited at reception for a good minute before staff would recognise you exist and look up at you. Rooms were rather small, although bathroom wasn’t too bad and the room did seem clean. Towels we old and small, and the window opened up to a pile of rubble outside. Overall not a great experience but okay for one night

Easy check in. Within walking distance of the railway station. Good for short stay of one or two nights. Stayed twice and both times ok but room 25 has a very small bathroom with unusual design. Fortunately neither my partner or myself are very big otherwise would have been a real problem using the facilities.

Room is a bit small, but clean and a short walk to the Gare de Lyon train station and metro station. If you stay here, I highly recommend you have something to eat at Lebrun Receptions, a very small place just up the street from Trianon Gare de Lyon.

Convenient location in a quiet neighborhood

We enjoyed the convenient location near the Gare de Lyon and a metro stop. The neighborhood was refreshingly quiet after a day among the crowds of tourists in Paris. The bedroom and bathroom were small but everything was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast buffet was small, but the food was tasty. I especially liked being able to boil my own egg in the special container. It was a treat to have a perfectly cooked soft-boiled egg every morning!

It is easy walking distance to Gare de Lyon. The manager is on duty 24 hours. The room was clean, the bathroom was big enough and the price fit my budget. For American sensibilities, the bedroom was very small, but I only needed someplace to sleep and shower between train and plane so this was ideal.

Friendly check-in and breakfast staff. Rooms have just what you need for a one or two night stay. some of the carpets are a little tired but the bathrooms are recently refurbished and are spotlessly clean. Everything worked perfectly. We double booked so ended up with more rooms which gave us some opportunity to compare. Room 36 smelt a little of drainage but this was probably because it was a slightly old building. Room 37 and 31 were perfect for us.

Fire alarm went off twice one night, at about 2:30 and 3:30 in morning.
Fortunately, there was no fire. Some kind of problem With the Equipment.
No Public address system to notify guests if alarm was real or false. Good News is that the
Room and bathroom were excellent. Elevator was quiet. Did not hear adjacent room.

We had an unexpected change in plans and needed a last minute reaervation in Paris on a Saturday night. We needed to be near Gare de Lyon and this popped up. It was a great place, clean and efficient. And they are doing their part to help those trying to get their lives back on track. Good place good cause. They came through for us, that’s for sure. The room was small but comfortable and breakfast was included, which is always a plus. It was delicious too.

Good hotel. Comfortable beds. Room small but adequate -ok for couples. We had room 31 looking onto main street. Windows open to enjoy hustle and bustle of street. No issue with noise at night. Little information in rooms other than emergency locations and free website access code. 1small bottle of water in room. Close by to good choice of restaurants, supermarkets and pharmacy. Good base to explore Paris via Gare De Leyon Metro link. Recommend hotel.

We booked this hotel some months ago as the start of a two month tour of France and Italy. We arrived late afternoon and were greeted by a young man who was more interested in his texts than the guests. He allocated a room on the first floor, gave no information on the hotel at all and left us to it. The room was, frankly, a single that a double bed had been squashed I to. The tiny window didn't open at all and the window in the shower room opened on to a central very small enclosed area about 8' square that was surrounded by other walls and used as some kind of rubbish dump! There was virtually no natural light at all. There was a very small wardrobe in the room and that was it. Not suitable at all as a double room and not in any way conforming to the hotel description on Expedia who we book with. We went back to the 'receptionist' to complain to be told there were no other rooms available and we should pay all four nights up front and request a room change tomorrow. We declined. We went for a walk and quickly found another hotel, the Hotel Terminus Lyon, that accommodated us beautifully (and cheaper)!! We have stayed in Paris many times and are well aware that space is premium and rooms are never huge but this hotel takes the biscuit. We voted with our feet and left!

Almost invisible on the Blvd Diderot, you blink and you miss it. But what a little hidden away gem it is. Everything is on a compact scale but it's all perfectly formed. From the smile on the service to the comprehensive comfort in the detail, you can't fault anything or anyone. Special mention to Assam our receptionist for his professionalism. Can rooms smell like olives?

We arrived a little early, and were able to check in right away. A huge plus. The room smelled strongly of ... can only describe it as olives. Pungent. We were never able to get the WiFi to work while in the room. And we felt very mislead (as did the family who checked out after us) about breakfast. Upon check in, we were told it was complimentary. When we checked out, we received a bill — a per person charge, tho only two of us had coffee.

I wouldn't recommend. When we arrived we were asked to pay for the room even though we had paid it upon booking. We were then given keys to a room that had not been cleaned. Staff were not helpful. While the bed is comfy the bathroom is covered in mold and foods.The tiny elevator alsp broke down. Upon checking out we were asked to pay for the room again... but we already paid and I had the reciept.

This is the typical low end Paris hotel and our stay may have been sufficient however we were six floors up and the elevator, the size fit only one person and luggage stopped working. I am handicapped and use a cane. I asked for help with luggage but was refused. It took me a long time and much pain to move my luggage. I would not wish this hotel on my worst enemy.

Convenient to train but impossibly small shower

Clean and convenient to train station. The staff was quite nice and happy to help with any questions we had. However, my brother (6'3\") had an incredibly hard time using the shower. The rest of the room was fine though and we were able to get free internet in our room (unlike most other hotels in Europe). There's also a great bakery/coffee shop a couple of doors down that sells 5 croissants or pain au chocolate for 4 euros.

I have stayed in many places. There was red stain on the carpet and the bed sheets and the blankets smelled bad. If it wasn't for the situation we would have not chosen this hotel. It does not deserve a 3 star rating. A 1 1/2 star yes. they need to clean and update a little for what they charge. If you are from the United States I don't recommend staying there. There staff needs to sleep in there own hotel to realize how bad it is. There seems to be no quality control

Close to Gare de Lyon

The Trianon will do in a pinch but it's very short on amenities like lights in the room, working TV, internet ($24/day!), and a reliable elevator. The front desk was helpful in booking a shuttle to Charles de Gaulle but did take a larger cut than the driver had thought he'd negotiated which led to a lot of awkwardness at CdG.

I guess the biggest complaint was the elevator. My mother and I were convinced by the end of the trip that either there wasn't an elevator at all or they just never bothered fixing. We spent so much time walking and climbing stairs (Paris has very few elevtors/escaltors, even the Arc de Triomphe's elevator was broken!) we just wanted to drag our tired bodies home and relax in our 3rd floor hotel room. Staff was nice and spoke English and were very helpful with helping us maneuver abou the city, printing off maps etc. Great breakfast, though a bit overpriced.

Was in Paris for a short trip, have stayed in many small hotels. This one was quite spacious compared to the really tiny rooms closer to the center (e.g. near Opéra). Room had a fridge (always a plus and way to save $$). The location is perfect, fairly easy to get to from the airport (RER B to Chatelet, then the #1 metro down a few stops) - Gare de Lyon (and the other metro also very close is Reuilly-Diderot) is convenient if any onward train journeys as well. Also lots of options for meals (Chinese, Turkish, and other regular cafés, and brasseries). One take-out joint right next door, without the best food, but if in a pinch could be a life-saver. Hotel offers a 9 euro breakfast, I would pass - pick up something from the many grocery stores and visit one of the several bakeries. The staff is a mixed bag, some pretty competent and knowledgeable, another who couldn't even tell me where to find an exchange bureau. But all very courteous and friendly. One shortcoming is that the hotel did not provide tea/coffee making facilities - that makes a huge difference. Was not traveling with children this time so did not really matter too much to me, I don't know it they might have provided it if asked, I did not bother. Bathroom, bathtub, linen, everything was very clean. Couldn't ask for more.

Quaint, with an excellent location

Only a couple of blocks from Gare de Lyon train station, this hotel is really well situated, within easy walking distance to Bastille and Marais districts as well. I hosted a small group of Americans (5 women and 2 men including myself) and all were happy with their rooms. The rooms are small and the sole elevator can handle only 1 person with luggage at a time, so if you're looking for a typical \"western\" hotel with large rooms, etc look elsewhere. That being said, the rooms were very clean, we each had our own bathroom and the staff was incredibly helpful with every request. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Hotel rooms were cute and comfortable. There was an air conditioner in the room which was great - not always a given. The windows were french casement and fully opened to a great street view. The staff was helpful. We did not speak french other than Bonjour and Merci, but the staff was able to communicate well with us. They have a secure entrance that is always staffed. The hotel is within a short walk of 2 metro stations. Gare de Lyon is a major hub with both trains and metro and is just down the street. We came in from the eurostar chunnel and had to hop one short train ride to get to the Gare de Lyon. From there, it was about 6-7 blocks to the hotel. Easy! it was not a very touristy part of paris but there were plenty of restaurants right nearby. We walked most places and reserved the metro for the end of the night. Paris is really easy to navigate if you pick up a simple map.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Het is fantastisch dat het op loopafstand is van het station en in de straat/ omgeving veel restaurantjes zitten.

Wat minder is, is de ontvangstruimte. Aan de buitenkant valt het totaal niet op dat er een hotel zit en als je binnekomt is het een erg kleine ruimte, ongeveer 8m2, wat daarbij totaal niet sfeervol is.
Ook het ontzettend kleine liftje was niet professioneel.
De kamer en badkamer zagen er gelukkig wel goed en schoon uit. En er is airco, wat erg fijn is.

Séjour super reposant et pratique

Nous avons pris cet hôtel après 5 jours de Disney. Et quel bonheur de tomber sur une literie d’une telle qualité !!! Nous avons dormis comme des bébés. Fenêtres totalement insolentes, chauffage parfait. Un bonheur total, notre nouvelle adresse proche de la gare !!!
