We had a wonderful time, the whole experience was vey professional. The reception staff were very helpful.
One slight niggle was the shower didnt keep the temperature and the toilet seat didnt fit the toilet. Everywhere spotlessly clean.
We would definitely recommend this hotel and will be back.

We loved our time in Arles, very interesting small city. Very easy to see all the sights by foot from the hotel.
Hotel is unique in its interior design and we loved it for a change. Ate in the restaurant which was excellent and staff very attentive and professional.

Excellent stay at Jules Cesar. Friendly and helpful staff; comfortable, well-appointed rooms, large bathrooms and wonderful swimming pool. It’s centrally located on a main road so if you arrive and depart by taxi, you won’t have any problems. I can definitely recommend.

A beautiful building, quirky decoration by Christian Lacroix. Lovely helpful friendly staff. Great selection at breakfast, dinner in the hotel was superb. Lovely to have an outdoor pool in a city location with shaded seating in garden areas. Walkable to all local sites and hundreds of restaurants.

Fantastic place to stay

Wonderful hotel. Absolutely stunning building, which the reception staff gave a little bit of information about as they showed us to our room.

Location was fine for us. Arles seems to be a pretty small town and we were no more than five minutes walk from the amphitheatre which was main place we wanted to visit.

We stayed in a junior suite - two adults and two kids, and the room was perfect with separate areas for us and the kids. Not sure if it applies to all of the rooms but in ours there were lots of freebies; a couple of little bottles of fizzy flavoured wine, soft drinks, sweets, macarons and even a little gift bag of camargue rice.

Room service menu was very reasonable and the food nice, but unfortunately we didn't have more time to eat in the restaurant.

Breakfast buffet was fantastic (selection of cold meats and cheeses amazing including smoked salmon etc as well as all the standard breakfast things) and was very good value for us as kids eat free (something like 23euro per adult).

Staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Very small touches like bottles of water at checkout (it was really hot when we stayed) made a lasting impression.

Only tiny thing that could be an issue for some people (though didn't matter for us) is that there are no toilets right next to the pool. Could just be slightly inconvenient for older people or very young kids as had to go back into hotel and up a level for toilets.

Overall though couldn't rate highly enough. Fantastic.

Great location in center Arles, easily walkable to both the archeological sites (get the museum pass for cheaper and faster entrance) and the Van Gough walk, as well a many dining options. Old convent building, with modernism decorating style. Wonderful breakfast and spa. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Charming & distinctive hotel ideally positioned to explore Arles. It's housed in an old Carmelite Monastery so has plenty of character. Peaceful gardens & pool for when you'd like to soak up the sunshine! Room was generously large, quiet and comfortable. The staff were all attentive and super helpful. Would highly recommend

The hotel was ideally situated with easy access by foot into the Old Town or by car into The Camargue. Rooms were clean but on the small side. We requested a bath tub in each of two rooms but this wasn’t available which was slightly disappointing. The public spaces and bar/restaurant terrace were lovely but the pool area was too small with not enough loungers for guests.
Staff in the bar and restaurant were very helpful and charming. The reception staff however were a little dismissive.

Nice Hotel but could use some Updates

We had a pleasant stay. The friendliness of the staff members and the spa is what stands out with this hotel. The location is good and walkable to the train station. The room could use an update as the carpet was faded and even dirty in some places. The key to the wardrobe was missing, so it would make a loud noise every time we walked by. The shower is ridiculous, because there is no way not to get water all over the floor. The main reason I booked a room here was for the spa, and that did not disappoint. Josephine arranged the service for me, and was very friendly on my arrival. Peggy was the massage therapist, and was very understanding of my pregnant state. I contacted the concierge in advance for some tips on places to dine etc. that might be open (due to the holiday) and I simply never received a response which was disappointing.

Welcoming staff

The staff was very welcoming and give you a lovely regional gift at your departure. The building is remarkable in its own right. The junior suite was ok, not great (the shower door barrier had a cracked seal and leaked, the room thermostats did not respond to inputs, etc., no ramp for strollers or accessibility - an outside lift that you have to get someone from the hotel to operate). What was greatly appreciated and somewhat unique, was that windows all had screening and that is a huge plus. Good local option.

The superior rooms come with a luxurious amount of space and french windows. The bathroom tile was in the palette of Van Gogh. Superb location. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Staff were very nice. They gave us the perfect recommendation for a seafood dinner.

Hotel location was excellent, and it has a fun design vibe (designed by Christian Lacroix). Staff was also very friendly, especially valet and the team helping with the luggage. Unfortunately the room we were given was ground level overlooking some exterior grooming gear (looked like junk in a patchy/shabby backyard with bars on the window), was super tiny and two of the three shower pipes were literally falling out of the wall. Everything worked and our stay was pleasant enough, but all things considered we had a solid 3.5 star stay at best. The $225 we paid for what looked like the town’s top hotel was too high a price for what we received (not good value), but may be worth it if you can avoid room 106. Good hotel, very bad room 106.

It’s a stylish hotel but it’s more 4 than 5 star and it’s too expensive for what it is. We had an enjoyable stay but there are some things to improve. No full length mirror in the bedroom. Sauna not working but no gesture of “compensation” such as extra time in the spa. No bath. Fitness room extra charge and only open when spa open. Etc . Minor things which may be petty but just not what you expect from 5 star. It it was 4* and cost less it would be fine.

The disappointment of our trip to Provence

After several glorious hotels in Provence and a quirky Paris airport hotel, this rated the worst. Very small room, wifi was poor and spotty, fun decor in the lobby is worn and the kicker was the total lack of ability to summon a cab - with hours of notice.

Amazing Staff

This hotel has the kindest and friendliest hotel staff on board. Our luggage were delayed and they kept calling the airlines for us since neither myself of my husband spoke french. Nicholas (the hotel host), even offered to go to the airport for us if our luggages get located (hotel was 77 kilometers from the hotel). In addition to that, the hotel was breathtaking and super clean. Would recommend this hotel to everyone looking to visit Arles, France.

A Gem in Arles

This hotel is a dream. The location is ideal, the rooms are well appointed, the restaurant, spa and pool are excellent, the wi-fi works well, but most importantly, the service was exceptional. I had originally booked 2 nights but at the last minute during an extremely busy time, I needed to extend my stay for 2 additional nights. The reception staff bent over backward to rearrange bookings to accommodate me. It was a wonderful trip.

Really dirty hotel. We have stayed in every big city's Sofitel and this one didn't kept up to Sofitel standard at all. Although the loby area has a trendy decoration all the hallways and stairs are dirty and the rooms smell bad. The view from the room was to a nasty pool area with 2 chairs. The impression was so bad that when we got into our room we decided to leave the hotel.

You deserve better

Our room is large but not well appointed. There is a desk and two chairs. A small closet and one shelf. The carpet is stained and appears to be old. Paint is chipping from the moulding around the balcony door. The bed skirt hangs down and about 3\" lies on the floor, which looks awful. The rooms could a thorough cleaning. The sheets are average.
The step out balcony looks over the Med. sea and that is beautiful. The concierge is great.

Provence is great, Jules Cesar made it even better

An excellent \"comprehensive\" experience is difficult to receive. This is not the most luxurious hotel I've ever been but definitely they work in every aspect of the guest experience, from the moment you park in front of the hotel all the way through your check out.
The colors can be overwhelming at times but they are part of the charm. He third floor is more relaxing visually.
The restaurant is a must! Don't miss it. It is worthwhile every cent!

Our experience here from Start to finish was great. When we arruved the road to the hotel was shut due to the local festival, and the conceiere came to collect our car to take it to a car park, and bought our bags back to the hotel. THe service was great, and the facilities (spa, pool, and outside bar) were all well staffed offering great service. Only niggle was that the Restaurant on the day we arrived was offering a limited menu that was not to our liking, but we ventured out and found some really great restaurants. Le Chistera and Coffee Me was by far the best coffee place we found.. If you enjoy ROman ruins and history you will enjoy Arles and this really great Hotel.

The most strange 5 star hotel ever. Lots of great things and the then....
Restaurant food great but errors on the bill spent 5 minutes arguing with staff in French that the bill did not add up, they confirmed they were wrong, after a good member of staff did the maths.
Water in room just about hot for a bath, complained and better but not really hot.

Close bar at 11.30 pm and night staff cannot access for residents ( never been in a 5 star hotel were you cannot get a spirit drink after midnight, mini bar just has soft drinks and wine at crazy prices).

Really not sure about this hotel. Want to come back in the future but they need to raise their game.

Here another night but hope the management read this and wake up.

The hotel staff was the best. They helped us with booking several excursions and made us feel right at home.
The only negative in the hotel was the bathroom. It was poorly designed so that you had to run in and out of it after a bath.

We had a great stay here for our minimoon. The room was nice and not too loud in terms of decor. We arrived at 10am but we're able to check in early. The pool area is great for relaxing in and the spa nice and clean. We didn't eat in the restaurant as there are so many nice restaurants in Arles which is a beautiful city with lots to see, all accessible on foot. The breakfast at the hotel was nice, with a good choice. Would really recommend this hotel.

5 stars? Ill-advised \"update\" spells 3 to me

Old convent modified effectively into conference hotel. Very congenial staff and nice common areas. Property was recently \"updated\" by Christian Lacroix - too bad. Lots of color and an interesting fashion touch but the look is untrue to the building, is an unsuccessful attempt to be \"hip\" and sacrifices comfort for design. For example, the \"deluxe\" room affords minimal seating despite expansive square footage. An oversized chair, that converts to second bed, is poorly suited for seating (cushions do not fit properly, there is no seating support and the scale defies good seating for tall and short stature alike. I can't imagine what torture it would provide as a bed. Remaining seating is minimal and uncomfortable (wire chair and small wooden side chair. A black lacquer vanity seems useless; the space would be better served with a love seat or a dresser or a cabinet. They graciously provided a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine. Too bad the room affords so little comfort to relax and enjoy that bottle! On the positive side, the bathroom is well appointed and spacious for someone who is planning to soak in a tub.

Long weekend with the wife

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left our experience was fantastic. The exterior of the hotel is very impressive as was the interior decor and furnishings.

Room was well appointed and very clean. The spa was great although we only got to use it once in the 3 days we were there. Although the hotel bar and restaurant looked very welcoming we prefer to explore the local area and ate in the local square

Mala experiencia.
Reservamos una junior suite para 2 adultos y dos menores. Al llegar, íbamos de paso y llegamos a las 12 agotados, no tenían la habitación y nos dieron una doble para los 4.
Al final nos compensaron pero al día siguiente, 9 horas de coche sin descansar fueron un infierno…
Es más 4 estrellas que 5… comparando con otros 5 estrellas en los que acabo de estar en madrid y barcelona

L’hotel ha un design strepitoso , molto centrale con parcheggio a pagamento a pochi metri (20€ al giorno ) .
Non abbiamo usufruito del ristorante ne della colazione .
Per la pulizia e lo stato generale è negli standard francesi . Nulla di negativo da evidenziare .

Perfect location and kind staffs

The location of the hotel is perfect. Most places were within five to ten minutes walk distance. The staffs at the hotel were extremely kind and helpful, which made our stay at Arles even better.

Service irréprochable et très sérieux. Le service de chambre au petit soins spéciale dédicace à Béatrice et Samad. Le service d’accueil très agréable, ils nous ont très bien conseillé tout le long du week-end. Et le spa agréable mais un peu déçu car le jacuzzi était en maintenance malgré notre réservation.

Weekend réussi
Hotel très confortable

Petit déjeuner excellent et très copieux.
Petit couac pour la réservation du repas le soir, mais solutionné par une réservation dans un restaurant à quelques dizaines de mètres de l'hôtel.
Seul la coordination entre les services seraient à revoir.
