Noisy room at front of hotel

As usual, we would have enjoyed our stay at the hotel, but unfortunately we had a room at the front of the hotel and were kept awake until the early hours of the morning by noise from 3 drunks who were shouting in the street below our window.
In the end, we called the night porter to see if we could be moved, but unfortunately the hotel was full booked. We really liked the room but it was unfortunate that they decided to congregate directly under our window. The Porter went out to see them and eventually they did move on, but not until gone 2.00am.
When we mentioned this to the older lady on reception when we were leaving, she just said you should’ve asked for a room at the back!
The other staff are always very accommodating, but we have had some issues with her before.
We would stay again when in Paris, but only if we had a room at the back of the hotel.

A small 'Bijou' hotel that has a very welcoming character. The room, although not big, was perfectly adequate for a three-night stay. We were well looked after by hotel staff. Breakfast was enjoyable with plenty of variety. The surrounding area felt more like a French provincial town rather than the capital city. We would stay in this area and this hotel again.

9 mins stroll from Gare du Lyon, 2 mins walk from bus stop (buses run from as early as 4am to Gare du Nord for onward journey to Charles de Gaul airport), 2 min stroll from nearest metro, easily walkable via Bastille to Marais & ille de France - so location terrific. Surrounding buildings / area - wine bars & bistros & a quiet street with though a harmless resident homeless person.

Just a lovely small hotel conveniently located for Gare de Lyon and several metro stations as well as restaurants and bars. Staff incredibly helpful and nice and thoroughly recommend the breakfast.

The hotel itself is in a very old building, which has an excellent aesthetic. The elevator, they say, can fit 4 people…I don’t know about that. It’s really small. My wife and I each had a suitcase with us and we made it up but no room to spare. Someone with a lot of luggage would definitely have to make multiple trips, but that’s really a minor issue. The breakfast is a little lacking at €15 per person, in my opinion.

Super Impressive Service

We arrived 2.5 hours early before check- in and asked to leave our luggage. Instead the staff bent over backwards to accommodate us, they prioratised our room to be cleaned and offered us free drinks whilst we waited. Super impressive service ! The room was great, spotlessly clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was perfect to get to anywhere in Paris. Highly recommended, we wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

A decent hotel in a convenient area. The room was small and bordering on stuffy even though we went in winter. However our room overlooked the internal courtyard so we had the window open all the time. It was very quiet, and felt safe. There was a pleasant receptionist on the desk 24/7. There are several good neighbourhood Brasseries 3 min walk from the hotel. I would stay here again as I think (for central Paris) it was good value for money.

Good hotel for a short stay

This hotel was a good choice for a short stay i'n Paris. Location is good for Bastille area and Gare de Lyon. It’s a little bit tired and the shower over the bath wasn’t particularly good. Staff were friendly and air con was effective.

This was close to one of the main train stations which was helpful! It's an old-style, not a modern hotel. Our only complaints were that the mattresses were very firm and the stairs to get to the rooms were outside and a big spiral staircase. We used the tiny and slow elevator the whole time because the stairs weren't the most secure. But a beautiful garden outside the hotel was a nice place to relax!

The bed was comfortable. The staff was helpful. The area near Bastille was very convenient to train station and several metro stops. Lots of options for dining close by. My only complaint would be that I didn’t like the shower set up. It was hard to maneuver. Otherwise, great stay in Paris. Hotel was exactly as advertised.

Glad I found this place...

This place is a bit of a find! Really liked it...very close to the Gare de Lyon, Bastille area and the Paris 'highline'.

Lots of independent bars and restaurtants in the immediate neighbourhood.

This is somewhere I will def look to come back to...and next time for longer. I only stayed overnight, but usually I am in Paris for a few days.

Loved this hotel. If you're travelling with kids, especially young kids, this hotel is a great option. We were in a junior suite. There is a little bedroom with its own door and a comfy bed that our 3 and 5 year olds slept in. My husband and I slept on the pull-out in the main area. Good sized room. Big bathroom. Little kitchenette with a mini fridge and microwave, so we would go to the very close grocery store and get veggies for snacks. Stored leftovers, etc. I loved that the floor was tile because I knew it was clean. Staff was excellent. Area is exceptional. Tons of really nice restaurants and bakeries (we went in August and I was afraid things would be closed but there was lots). Close to major subway routes and train strain. Amazing value.

Unfortunately due to changed travels plans I was unable to make my booking so cannot really comment on the hotel itself. However, having made the booking well in advance I received absolutely no communication from the Hotel or Expedia following my booking confirmation to remind me about my upcoming stay, or remind me about the deadline for confirmation/cancellation. This is a basic service you would expect (and receive) with any other booking website. Ended up paying for a stay I didn't make which I accept is my fault, but I am still shocked by how little communication I received. This is especially painful when you are immediately bombarded with messages to rate your check-in process and hotel stay almost immediately. Word of warning to other bookers, especially those with changeable travel plans!

We were able to do early check in.The room for 4 people was spacious. The shower did not drain though, but they immediately gave us another room to use. It wasn’t a room for 4 people but we had use of it. Then late at night as we were going to bed the guest in the next room were playing extremely loud music. The staff immediately got them to turn it off once we reported it.

Lovely little hotel near Gare de Lyon.

We visited the hotel on the way back from the south of France and were very pleasantly surprised by this lovely little hotel.
The receptionist was extremely welcoming, the bedroom was small but very nicely decorated and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. We will be returning in September, and this will definitely be the hotel we use when passing through Paris. We can thoroughly recommend it. Thank you!

A lovely boutique hotel in a safe area of Paris. Closest Metro Ledru Rollin (Line 8 - 3min walk) or Bastille (Line 1,5,8 - 10min walk). As a family we were given room 10, a very spacious ground floor room with separate toilet and wetroom. We had daily housing keeping, including fresh towels.

Sotiria, the lady at the front desk was extremely friendly, poliite and courteous, gave us advice on what Metro stations to take for Paris attractions and made our stay even more special, thank you.

We were very pleased with this hotel! Nice staff, very clean room, good rates, smallish but cozy room. A great location in a fun district. While waiting for the elevator, I mentioned to my wife that I was sure thirsty. The receptionist overheard me, got up, went to the bar and got me a glass of water!

Just wonderful…

This is such a gem of a place, our quadruple room was spacious and comfortable for 4 of us (including two growing teenagers). The separate toilet to shower room was a bonus. The beds were comfortable and the room immaculate. All the staff were lovely, the building is quirky and full of character with a nice little courtyard to sit in and feel very Parisian. The area the hotel is in is brilliant - more real Paris with lots of lovely shops and cafes, an amazing boulangerie just across the road from the hotel and some really decent restaurants that were so much better in quality and price than the ones you find in the touristy areas. Just follow the locals! But it was also really easy to get to the central tourist spots - it didn’t take long to walk along the Seine to the notre dame. So glad we found this place we will definitely be returning!

Convenient hotel in a good area

We stayed one night in transit through Paris. We chose the hotel for its proximity to Gare de Lyon and the surrounding area is full of character with a number of good restaurants nearby.

Basically all good! Friendly staff, clean and comfortable. Small rooms, but that is typical for Paris. Appreciated the room safe. Shower was a bit difficult (to avoid soaking everything in the bathroom) with the narrow glass screen, but hot water wasn't an issue. Nearby market, wine bar, cafes, restaurants all excellent! I would recommend this hotel for a stay in Paris.
