Wonderful resort! 15 minute walk from the sea with a beautiful boardwalk that stretches for miles. Access to a 4 storey, modern gym with indoor and outdoor facilities; 5 min walk to to grocery store and restaurants. Heated pool, comfortable rooms and the staff are super kind and helpful. We got help within 2 minutes for anything we needed. Thank your for a great experience!

Really enjoyed staying here. Comfortable with the upgraded rooms, which we did upon check-in after reading reviews. On of our two rooms however had a large leak from the bathroom ceiling that had to be dealt with repeatedly. It flooded the floor. If ceiling favs don’t work see if the remotes need new batteries. Otherwise it was a really nice place, convenient to shops and restaurants, walkable to beach. The pool was great. Breakfast was great, too. We only ate in the restaurant once.

Great place to stay. It's an older property to be sure, but it's well looked after. Not all rooms have A/C. I didn't, but I saw others that appeared to have it. The evening temps were low enough that I didn't need it. The rooms have a washing machine and drying rack which is great. It's also one of the few places with free parking which was perfect.

The only downside is that there are absolutely no amenities in the room other than one of those tiny round bars of cheap soap. No shampoo, no shower gel, nothing. I don't expect laundry soap, but shower gel is pretty much standard even in hostels these days. Been a long time since I've stayed in a place that didn't have any. Other than that everything was great.

The pictures are not accurate. The furniture was old & uncomfortable. The sofa could barely be sat on & the pullout was springs poking you. So bad left early. No refund for unused days/nights.

Great resort in a good location

This was our third visit and we lovely everything about the resort - pool area, apartment etc.

The only issue we had was the lack of air conditioning on the apartment. This was the hottest time of year we had visited and the ceiling fan was just not sufficient to make sleeping comfortable. But we would come again but not during peak season.

We have stayed there many times …this the first time in about 4 years ..Restaurant/bar closed at 3.30 which was a pity ( post Covid world ) ..very friendly service and we had breakfast all week .Place was spotless and room was good (only downside was the bed which was on the small side ) .Most of the nearly restaurants were closed permanently again the fallout from the pandemic but we found some other ones which were very good ..we would return

We had three 2 bedroom apartments - one had hot water problems; the others were just fine. Not luxurious but clean and comfortable. The kitchens are well equipped. The sheets and towels are changed twice per week. The restaurant is pricey but okay. We usually went around the corner where we found some mediocre and some excellent restaurants (Bogart's). We would happily stay again.

Not a very family friendly resort, staff were not friendly, not much to do in the area without paying at least 30 euros to go elsewhere. No information was given at check in regarding the area or its surroundings.
Rooms were clean and had everything you would expect form a self catering apartment, walls were paper thin and could hear everything from the rooms next door.

This is a great hotel with two lifeguard on duty to cover the indoor and outdoor pool. The deepest of their pool is around 1.8m yet they have a lifeguard there. Great place.

Bye bye Crown Resorts.

We used to enjoy our stays with Crown Resorts Club Marbella and Deltamar. We returned after a gap of 5 years and whilst we had a nice time, it's time Crown Resorts got themselves in line with other establishments regarding a few things such as technology - choice of English TV channels is limited and had to pay for room safe and WiFi (only free in the restaurant). The pool table used to be near the bar area but is now located in a gloomy room away from any other sociable in areas. The bar closed abruptly around 1115-1130pm each night (staff turned the lights off on customers and locked all but one entrance/exit. Also make sure that you get a refurbished apartment as the others are dated and gloomy, albeit clean.

Average resort in popular location

Upon arrival, we were originally given the wrong room as we had booked a room with balcony and was allocated a smaller apartment with no balcony/outside space. The staff rectified this very quickly and overall were happy with the apartment - spacious with 2 bathrooms and huge terrace/balcony. The ceiling fans located in each room of the apartment does provide a little air movement but is not as effective as air con. Overall, the resort was clean, well kept and generally provided what we were looking for but I would not go back.The pool is not large enough for the volume of guests at the resort and although diving is prohibited, jumping in is not so if you do not have small children and are looking for a refreshing relaxing swim - then this is not the resort for you. There is signage stating that sunbeds are not to be reserved, this is not managed at all and we sat poolside for 5 days whilst both sunbeds and umbrellas were sat unused and reserved by towels meaning that late pool arrivals with small children were sat in the sun. The animation team were very good for both children and adults providing pool activities for all - a highlight of the resort. We did not venture locally by foot as used a vehicle however, the restaurants located just down the road were very nice. (especially the chinese restaurant!) Also, The resort is on a hill, so please be aware if you have mobility issues as I booked based on a review which did not mention this at all.

Properties and surrounding area are all kept very clean and tidy, pool area cleaned every day, staff very friendly.
Didn't like having a tiny room allocated nowhere to put my granddaughters cot, asked to upgrade to a larger room was told by night receptionist he didn't know how much. But he sure new how much to upgrade to saffire apartments.

The apartment was superb. 5 star quality. Very clean and fully equipped with everything required and more...
Staff were helpful, very polite and gracious. Partying neighbours who kept us awake for the first three nights were no longer noisy after my complaint on night 4. The only downside was an unelicited invitation to a meeting with whom we thought was the hotel manager..but turned out to be a sales rep selling the equivalent of timeshare. This took time out of our day...and I would recommend the hotel gives information about whether it is appropriate for the rep to knock on a guests, door,when we were resting, ask lots of questions, and then after the meeting,at which, we sat at politely ,not wishing to cause offence, the rep refused to give any literature about the sales company involved,yet expected us to pay for a service with no evidence of where our monies would be sent. The service from the aforementioned rep,s company was wholly inappropriate for me, As a businesswoman I have no intention to take any holidays in the near future. I would recommend the hotel screens such situations against cold calling ie knocking on the room door, by informing the guests in advance upon check in ,that such may happen, and,whether the guest agrees or not to the service being offered. That said....the hotel is exemplary,and I intend to return again.

We use Crown Resorts Club Marbella because it is just 5 minutes away from our daughter's home. We have always been satisfied although as we get older we find the number of steps to an apartment sometimes challenging. I wonder whether, because we use the cancellation option, our choice of apartment is limited and we are left with whatever is not booked, in other words the less inspiring accommodation. Having said that we have always been comfortable.

For the price in February it was very reasonable the hotel staff is not very accommodating at all, there is a charge for everything when we asked if we can have coffee for our room they told us to buy it at the grocery store or out of the vending machine just seemed they dud not care, maybe this is how resorts are in Europe U have never had this experience in the United States

We’ve stayed here a few times, it’s in a good location for getting about, there’s a mini bus to take you to the main road for buses if you don’t have a car. Some of the apartments are a bit tired but they are all being refurbished and they are always clean. Staff are very friendly/helpful when needed.

This hotel was fantastic for my kids they had an amazing time the staff that run the mini club do an amazing job! The staff in general in the hotel was lovely we had a lovely stay, the beach wasnt far they had a shuttle service that run from Monday- Friday that would drop you there but even to walk to the beach didn’t take us long (15 mins). Our room was ok but I stayed at this hotel last year in room 141, this room was amazing fresh white walls, beautiful open kitchen, fire place and TV in all rooms. The room we stayed in this year only had a living room TV, kitchen was small but it was liveable, I did ask whether we could change room but was told the hotel was full. One other thing I would say is the plates and cups wasn’t child friendly I was really worried about my two 6 years olds and my nearly 2 year breaking the plates and cups, maybe they should provide plastic plates and cups.

Good experience for the money

We used this as a base for a Spanish property search on room only basis and stayed for 3 weeks. The apartment we were in was clean and seemed to have everything needed for self-catering, and the maid service frequent (Tuesday and Friday each week). Cleaners were friendly and did a great job for us. Only downside for me was I found the bed a little too hard for my liking, and the sofa the same. Having said that, the service and friendliness of all the staff was amazing the whole time we were there (late April to early May)

It's close enough local bars and restaurants if you like to eat out, but the lunch at € 11.50 was amazing value at the resort if you want to hang by the pool, and it was always good food. There seemed to always be activities going on around the pool so if you like that, you shouldn't be disappointed.

Bear in mind, everything is either uphill or downhill once you move away from the beach on a lot of the Costa del Sol, and this is no exception, so if you're not going to be using taxis, which are expensive in our experience, be prepared. It's not that steep a walk from the beach (approx. 1 Km) and a drop off at one of the bars is always an option or you can pre-book the free shuttle from the resort to the supermarket / beach area.

I think in high summer, you'd struggle to find a sun bed at the pool, and the restaurant would be crammed, but all-in-all, we had a pleasant time here and we would consider returning. It was great value for money.

Good apartments to visit surrounding areas

We had 2 apartments for 2 families with children to use as base to visit Málaga and other areas so cannot comment on the facilities, however the apartments are comfortable enough to spend a few days. They are quite complete with pans, cutlery, washing machine and clothes rack to air dry your clothes. Barrier operated car park opposite the hotel is very handy and free of charge.
Overall very good value for what we paid.

Swift check in and got 'free upgrade' which was lovely but alarms bells should have rung. Within 48 hours of arriving 'Karen' from Kendal phoned on Sunday morning at 9:30am local time therefore 8:30am UK time to sell us a timeshare (although she said it was not a timeshare). Very friendly to begin; how are you, do you like the apartment, ooh you're from Edinburgh which is lovely etc..... I pointed out nicely we were very happy with the apartment and thank you and asked the nature of her call. 'Are you aware you are entitled to a free week excluding flights etc'. She told me it's not a timeshare and I pointed out we were not interested and in the middle of breakfast. What a shame as such a nice place and we enjoyed our time there. Why on earth did she think a phonecall on a Sunday morning at 8:30am would be appropriate? If you get offered a 'free upgrade' let them know you do not want a phonecall like this.

Me and my son mason had a fantastic time at thecrown resort mabella ,visted many beaches and with the transport courtesy bus als went to the other crown resort hotels too. The staff are all very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely hook with them again. Did lose my boys little white and black sheep cuddly toy, had not been found after our departure and wonder if this nas b2en found yet and is over 30 year old and off much sentimental value

I stayed on the resort with my family, my wife and two kids 5yrs old and 10 months. The room was everything we needed, very comfortable and fully equipped with house hold appliances, it was perfect to honest the fault was no tea in the room lol. Will be bringing back the family next year. The air conditioning worked fine and sofa bed was very comfortable.

Best hotel

The Crown Resort was one of the best hotel I every stay in. It was very clean and the apartment was very comfortable only the bed I didn't find very comfortable but still love the whole apartment.

Most of the staff was friendly. Food was very good and testy the only fault was after stopping for 6 nights 7 days got a bit fed up at having the same food special dessert but what was provided always testy good.
The only other thing that would make the apartment perfect is having air conditioning in the apartment as having fans on after a while you get warm air and sleeping becomes uncomfortable at nights especially.

The thing I like about the hotel was the security that they had in and around the hotel gave me peace of mind.

Myslf and my daughter would like to thank all the staff at the Crown Resort for making our holiday a fabulous one as it was our first holiday on our own and it was her 16th birthday present which she says was very special. Big thanks to you all

I will definitely recommend family and friends to try this hotel and also would love to come back again.

Club Marbella - Crown Resorts. Beautiful Apt fully

We had a great stay at Club Marbella Crown Resorts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Travelled as couple with 20, 18 & 13 Year olds. Beautiful resort but area not suitable for teens who want to go off & 'enjoy' party time. Its mainly a residential area which was overlooked by developers of nightclubs etc. Choice & competitiveness of area as regards dinner was only ok. Room was upgrades recently enough so all amenities were there from full cooker, Fridge Freezer, washing machine, Iron & board, hairdryer. We had a two bed apt which was duplex with two full bathrooms. The quality of the sofa bed was second to none.

Wonderful stay,
I will add that Luna beach is the beach you want to go to, the hotel offers shuttle service to it and also super market! Lots of restaurants right outside the main road. Book any trips from hotel in advance ours were all booked sadly.
Rooms have fans and for July it kept the room cool especially when asleep.

I used 24transfers.com and it was super inexpensive. They took us to the airport very early and was perfect.

The breakfast could use some more fresh fruit but overall was good. Dinner buffet was really good.

They have daily activities for the kids to do, I thought it was super awesome and my kids enjoyed the pool ones.

Great stay, would recommend to anyone.they offer anything you would need to make a trip extra wonderful.

Great Base in the middle of a Great Resort

Club Marbella is a great place to stay in the heart of Costa Del Sol.
Their is so much to do & see in immediate area it is advisable to hire a car
as Benalmadina, Fuengerola, Marbella, Estapomna, are easy drives to get to.

Club Marbella has eveything you need on site, our appartment is just like home & they have just upgraded the TV to digital so more channels & better pictures.

This resort is quite old and dated. Although, the kitchen have been updated, the furniture is quite old and uncomfortable.
There is no room service and the activities are very boring. We attended \"Flamenco\" show by amateur dancers which certainly was not worth our time.

Nice reasonably priced hotel in good location

Booked this hotel at short notice for my wife and my 10 year old daughter. 4 nights room only. Arrived very late on our 1st night and the guy on reception was very friendly and gave us all the information we needed. They have a free car park opposite the hotel. We had a 2 bedroom apartment and it was very clean. We used the outdoor and indoor pool and they were also very clean. We only had breakfast on each of the days but the food was acceptable. Again the staff in the restaurant were friendly and accommodating.

Due to us having a late flight on the last day and having to check out at 10:00am we enquired about extending our check out time. Due to the cost we decided against it, but there are good changing facilities near the indoor pool so we used that to shower freshen up before our flight home.

The staff on the reception during the day were again friendly and accommodating and one of the guys arranged to print off our boarding passes.

I would recommend this hotel - it is not far from Malaga airport and close to Marbella. It is only an hour away from Gibraltar.

Fantastic resort 4th visit

This is place. Location is fantastic. The staff can never do enough to help. Lovely heated pool. Always around 29 degrees. The rooms are a great size with the bathrooms. Wifi is €12 for he week in the room. 2 devices. Wifi is free from cafe Marbella and is stronge enough to access from the pool. Kids club great. All in all a lovely comfortable place to stray. Looking forward to returning in September. 😎

Nice apartment and grounds, BUT!!

Not my idea of a resort, its more residential than resort. Bunch of apartments spread out over a hilly area. Not THAT close to the beach. They do have a handy shuttle service, Mon to Fri, (sadly they don't make it clear this service doesn't run on Sat & Sun) which ruined our plans for Saturday. One heated pool, (noisy with kids) one cold pool,(quiet but too cold to enjoying the pool) Beware of getting hijacked by the time share crew who are based at the Marbella resort.

The good: fabulous flat for two, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, large lounge, extremely well equipped kitchen, fabulous view. The \"buts\": not suitable for limited mobility at all, up many stairs & no lift (ok for us), no on-site bar, restaurant or reception. Local bars restaurants & 2 supermarkets are good but 15 minute walk down the hill. Keys have to be collected from another complex, we were OK as we drove to the correct one, some 10 mins drive away. There was one nearer, but not open when we arrived near midnight; we met other guests who were totally confused and we had to explain this to them so that they could get keys.

Good base for visiting area.

Liked the room and location. there is a row of shops restaurants and bars just around the and a car park opposite. Didn't think much of the on site café so didn't use it or the bar. Nice swimming pool. We were searching for apartments to buy and this was a great location as a base. The beach is within reasonable walking distance but the beach is quiet and non commercial. Getting on and off the A7 is a nightmare (no slip road) The staff were very friendly and very helpful. If they have an apartment for sale I will seriously consider buying it.

Perfect location

4th visit now. What can I say. The resort is perfect. Lovely big and modern rooms Lovely and helpful staff. Hotel shuttle down to the beach is a nice touch. Also having a heated pool is great. Food and drink very good. Only €3 a pint of San Miguel. Will be returning next year. Well done Crown resorts :-)

poor service blessed with a good location

Terrible service. My receipt to check in at their Marbella location. After much work trying to find it, I was told to go to the Colahonda location. In the process the Marbella location did not tell me that I could only get pool towels there and would not be available at the Colahonda location(ridiculous that you have to go another location to get beach/pool towels). the reception area at the Colahonda location is closed more than it is open. They open from 10-1 and 5-6 daily so it very inconvenient to ask for services, directions etc and results in long lines when they are available. the two receptions that work at both locations are helpful but the 3rd receptionist cannot even help with directions to other tourist towns(Maria?). she should be trained better. Additionally, if you want to borrow racquets or basketballs to use on the resort, they demand a fee($20 euro!) to hold until you return it and must reserve the area in advance. Everything done at the Calahonda location is done with staffing convenience in mind and not the guest's convenience

No AC in the rooms make it awful to sleep in the apartment at night, even with all the windows open and the fans blowing its just not comfortable to sleep.
The rooms were clean and fine.
Pool was ok for the kids.
When we booked we found this is a complex of apartments so did end up going to 3 separate buildings before we found the right one where we were staying.
Area is ok with a few places to eat/drink within walking distance.

It was very safe at night with a number of locked doors to go though to get to the apartment. The view from the building was nice with a great view of the sea.

Didn't stay at the hotel we booked !

Booked at Crown Resort. On arrival we were told we were actually staying at Rivera del Sol - about 10 mins drive away - and once there we were told that we were booked at Club Calahota - another 10 mins drive away. On arrival there the restaurant on site, kids club, wifi facilities of Crown Resort had disappeared to a single pool with nothing else there. Would not book through Expedia or Crown Resorts again.

We loved the pool and the Cafe Marbella, however the rooms were not cleaned enough and rubbish wasn't taken away often enough. It was also ridiculously hot in the rooms, so much so that my perfume went off and we hardly slept! I really think that you make enough money to put air con in each room!!

Club Calahonda

We were allocated to Club Calahonda on arrival and we were really pleased. It's quieter that it's sister resort Club Marbella. We had a huge two bedroom apartment which overlooked the smaller pool with a full kitchen and maid service twice a week. We were close to the beach and shops (there's a fantastic Mercadona supermarket about 5 mins away and a McDonald's if you're desperate for a take away!) and we were about a 10 min walk to the \"Strip\" where the restaurants and bars are located. The only draw back is that the restaurant at Club Calahonda is only open in the evening and it wasn't especially good, but there's plenty of choice elsewhere, and there are very few activities or entertainment on site but you can go to Club Marbella (about a 5 min walk away) which has a full programme of activities and entertainment. Be aware, this is a timeshare resort and you will get a call from the local RCI rep who is lovely and they do have some fantastic holiday opportunities if you're interested

Nice enough but no Air Con

Area is good, staff are good, rooms are ok. Biggest issues are it's very crowded in the public area, e.g. the pool, beds are pretty hard and the fact that there's no aircon means the rooms are always too hot. For the money it's not bad, but next time I'll definitely pay a bit more for something more comfortable.

Quiet location 15 minute uphill from shops bars beach and other crown resort sites. Nice apartment basic pool. Good shuttle service to beach and other sites. 50 minute coastal walk to La Calla Mijas. Nice beach.

Stayed in Caronte! Besides pool nothing else. Need other hotels for entertainment! Deltamar was closest (6min walk) but poolbar closes at 6pm! bus service between hotels/beach/supermarket is very well organised! If you want a kinda less touristic resort this is perfect!

Very friendly resort.

Very nice resort all staff very helpful. We stayed in a two bedroom that was very clean and a good size. It has everything that you need. I liked the pool as it was heated. I would recommend a Crown Resorts to my friends.

Good Break at crown Resorts

Thoroughly positive experience at mijas. Excellent value for money. We had 3 appartments for our family, all close together. Quiet location with all the essential amenities close by. Food in the hotel was very good and good value for money, good choice on a la carte menu and buffet table for both hot and cold meals. We would certainly go again.

I was delighted with the location of this resort.

This resort and the facilities in the 2 bed apartment we had were exactly what I would have wanted included. The kitchen was well fitted out to prepare meals, as I mainly ate in this suited me very well. The nearby supermarket (approx a five min walk) had a fantastic range of products. The resort has two pools, although this early in the season it was mainly the heated outdoor pool that was used. There was also a small gym and tennis courts for those who wanted to enjoy some exercise. There also seemed to be cleaners around and the came in to the apartment on our 4th day and did a good clean including changing the beds and taking away and replacing towels. As there were lots of towels, both in the bathroom and additional in the wardrobe, I found this sufficient. While we were there the temperature at night dropped quite quickly, however, there were heaters and extra blankets and this made the apartment very cosy. The free 24 hr wifi down at reception was very useful, and whilst I saw lots of people paying the ten Euro for wifi in their rooms and around the pool, I did not feel I needed that. The free shuttle bus to Club Marbella was very useful as it was uphill from Calahonda, and on visiting Club Marbella my daughter was disappointed to find that its wifi went off at 18.30, whilst Calahonda's was 24 hr.

A really positive experience

Stayed in crown resorts - club Marbella for 7 nights in mid February with 3 children. Really enjoyed stay - very helpful & friendly staff. Plenty of towels, 2 bathrooms which were useful with 5 of us. Had sauna, Jacuzzi, gym and swimming pools on same site with ample car parking. Resort was not very busy so all facilities were mostly available for use whenever without any queues. Clean apartment with balcony and handy to have a washing machine. Overall would recommend resort as received a good package in a very cheap price so was definitely worth it and helped family have a really positive holiday overall. Calahonda a nice town with shops and restaurants and easily accessible in car to nearby towns like fuengirola, Marbella, benalmadena.
