Great property, well-located in Chiang Rai within easy walking distance to the Golden Clock Tower, Night Bazaar, Weekend Walking Street, shops, restaurants, pubs and more. The breakfast is wonderful, as is the pool area and lobby. My king room was large and comfortable, and the reception staff were kind, friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again! Thanks!

By far the best hotel we stayed at in Thailand. The staff was genuinely nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The architecture of the hotel is also interesting. We were so happy the shower water gets really hot since our Chiang Mai hotel it only was slightly warm. The included breakfast was also good for hotel breakfast quality. Would definitely book here again.

Everything was great. What we liked are that staff were nice and friendly, prompt in services; firm bed to our liking and inviting pool area; in particular, the breakfast was delicious and the chef knows how to cook.

The only issue was the access to the internet. It’s fast when connected but dropped out or didn’t even have internet at night from time to time.

A short but excellent stay, couldn’t fault it! The staff were really helpful when discussing restaurants and things to do. The room was fantastic and all the facilities are great. Loved the fact that we were able to have bottled water without having to pay extra. Would definitely recommend stopping here.

The hotel was really nice. The staff were helpful and our room was big and spacious. The pool is in a good location had plenty of sunbeds around it and had a poolside bar with snacks. We had a mini bar with free soft drinks in our room, free water and fruit in reception. We used bolt to get to the local attractions and it was reasonably priced. The hotel offered us a package with a private driver as soon as we arrived, which was more expensive than organising ourselves, but we were happy to do the planning. Upstairs there was a fitness suite and billiards room which we didn’t check out. The location was about a 10 minute walk from the clocktower and a 15 minute walk from the bus station. We visited the night market which was 10 to 15 minute walk we ate there which was lovely and they had many stalls.

Nak Nakara is a very nice hotel, reasonably priced and has a great pool (though we were there during rainy season and only got to enjoy it for a couple of brief spells). The breakfast buffet was terrific, with a separate \"egg station\" that prepared omelettes, other types of eggs, and pancakes and waffles. (My only wish would have been to add mushrooms to the omelette choices, but the omelettes were done nicely.) A very friendly staff, and though our booking was originally for one night, we decided we liked the place well enough to add a second night, which I booked at the front desk and even got a bit of a discount (equal to about 400 baht) off what the first night cost. We come to Chiang Rai often enough that we'd definitely consider staying at Nak Nakara again.

Tours and taxi services they offer are less than what you find online.
Tucked away in the heart of Chiang Rai is this hotel gem, Nak Nakara. This unique hotel has a blend of local old style architecture with all the conveniences of a modern hotel. Beautiful on the outside and very comfortable on the inside. The staff; what an exceptional group, taking care of all your needs from the minute you get there until the minute you leave. The breakfast; a large variety of dishes available you won't be disappointed.

Loves: the staff was SO helpful always, they were always available to help with anything, the fridge in the reception area which always had fresh melon and bottled water at no cost 24/7, the pool was open until 10pm (most places are 8pm latest), very quiet at night
Misses: the bathroom was quite small, the side of the toilet was so close to the wall that my thigh was always leaning against it, not much counter space in there either for two people, the bed and pillows weren't super comfy and the room could use some updating.

This was our favorite hotel in our 4 weeks in Thailand. The breakfast was amazing - the best we’ve had in Thailand. The staff was super kind and helpful. It was all super clean. Easy to walk to the main part of Chiang Rai or get a ride to the attractions around it. Highly recommend!

The hotel is 10-15 minutes away from the major bus depo. I showed up early and the staff allowed me check in early without any issue. The mini bar was free of charge. The only complaint is the bathroom shower could use a renovation.

After our original hotel was closed due to flooding, we chose Nak Nakara and it was a lovely stay here, the room was basic but was quiet & comfortable with good aircon & a short walk to the pool. The breakfast was nice as was the dining area. The pool was clean with nice seating & a small bar area. The endless complimentary chilled fruit and water was so nice. And plenty of parking for scooter

A beautiful visit - Chiang Rai

The trip was amazing. The stay was beautiful. The hotel, if you can call it was so homely. Special shout out to my special friends JUM and PK, who took care of us. Jum was so helpful resolving any issues we had and helping us with sight seeing places - very courteous and kind. PK was a wonderful driver, tour guide and a friend. Please hire his services if you are ever in this hotel. You won’t regret it. Loved it all together.

Lovely older thai hotel. Rooms were spacious included a full sized fridge, kettle, water and soft drinks. Pool was lovely, breakfast was really good with lots of choice and the food ordered at happy hour was delicious. Everyone was so helpful and nice. This was a wonderful stay at Nak Nakara. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was spotless, and my stay was very comfortable. Located about 10 minutes walk to many shops and food options, the hotel is nestled in a quiet enclave within Chiang Rai. My only disappointment was that I didn't get to stay here for longer, but if I come back to Chiang Rai, I will certainly come back for a stay here again.

Everything but the first day was excellent. The first day I was told 9 rooms needed repair so I had to go to a different hotel for the first night. It was a much cheaper hotel far from the main area. It was fine but I didn’t get what I paid for. Turned out the previous guests just wanted to stay longer and that’s why I wasn’t allowed to check in for when I booked. But everything else was great. Friendly staff. Great location. Everything was clean.

We can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The pool was lovely. The restaurant provided a good breakfast and the staff were friendly. What made this hotel special were the little touches. Not only did we have the standard two free water bottles in our room each day, there was a fridge in the lobby with more water bottles, fruit and snacks, free of charge. The staff were incredible about helping arrange tours or taxis. Their rates were very reasonable and they were always so friendly and helpful. They also had a map for guests that highlighted restaurants, stores, the hospital and other areas of interest. Lots of thought has been put into the comfort of their guests. Highly recommend this hotel. We would definitely stay there again if the opportunity arose.

First room was musty. I thought once we ran the A/C for a while it would clear up. It did not. My nose and eyes were getting itchy and I knew we needed to move. Staff were very helpful, let me sniff test 2 vacant rooms and we found a satisfactory one. Shower was great! Beds very firm like most of Thailand. Staff excellent!
