Staff was very rude. They did not want to be bothered or answer any question about the resort. The beach on the resort was the dirtiest I’ve ever been too, contained a lot of trash from all the guests and resort staff did not clean daily. For the price I expected to be treated a little better seeing the amount of money they spend on promotion of the resort. Tried to speak to management about it but was ignored.

I wanted to love this place so much. I read all the amazing reviews and ways very excited. Unfortunately, I was disappointed over and over throughout the week. As soon as we got in our room I noticed a small hole in the floor from what appeared to be a missing door stop, thick dust covering the outlet and coffee machine cords, dirt at the headboards of the beds, and a door lock that fell off the first time I used the sliding bathroom door. The staff seemed unhappy and unmotivated. Very few would even smile, say hi, or ask if we needed anything. I will say the bartenders on the beach were all very kind and much more welcoming though. The beach and pool areas were very well kept up and we did enjoy our time outdoors, as long as we didn't need service, such as an umbrella on the beach which seemed to get forgotten over and over again.

We were there for 5 night and after complaining on the 3 rd day someone came and did room service so out of 5 days only 2 days the room service were there
We had to keep asking for clean towels
We stayed in Atlantis before and they were fantastic. I don’t think we will ever come back here.

The property was too big for my taste and very crowded. Difficult to get beach chair if you go after 10am. All the restaurants were so expensive including tax and service charge. The resort has a fee on top of that. The beach was immaculate, crystal clear water. The staff is helpful considering the size of the place, but housekeeping did not clean my room for two out of three days I stayed there. People seem to enjoy it, but not my cup of tea.

The Baha Mar was a great stay, we loved the clean modern upscale buildings and restaurants, you can tell the planning was done really well. I would describe the hotel as very experiential. Our negatives were sloppy room service, in fact one night we called them 4 times to help with no response. Then the water STINKS we thought it was wet towels but by the end of day 5 it distinctly smelt like sewage water. The water system on the level we stayed in was ok the first three days but the last few days we spent a fortune buying water from the market because the water smelt and tasted like sewage. We did complain and they credited us a day, but honestly it was awful. Also this place is hella expensive!!!

Should have listened to my colleagues when they said to stay away from here. the staff would go out of their way to treat you poorly here. Out of dozens of interactions with staff here I have had maybe one or two decent experiences. Simple manners are no where to be found. For an example, my group and I had a simple ask to one of the staff members on the casino floor. “ where is Marcus the restaurant located?”. Instead of a simple, “my apologies, I do not know. allow me to reach out to a colleague to help you”, we received a death stare for about 20 seconds until the staff member looked away from us and said “I don’t know” and continued to act as if we were a major inconvenience to him. For the price you pay, and the automatic gratuity that the staff members place on EVERY TRANSACTION, it is not worth it. Customer service here is absolutely nonexistent. On top of that, my room had someone else’s fake nails laying on the ground next to my bed. And a bandaid on the floor. This was my first impression of my room and I was afraid to even shower or sleep in my own bed after. This is a terrible stay, for the price and hidden fees. Overall will never come back here and what an unfortunate way to spend a bachelorette and first time in the Bahamas.

For as beautiful as the property is, the staff needs to be re-tooled. The property is immaculate, and despite being as large as the resort is, it never felt overly crowded at any of the pools, the water park or the beach. However, on a 5 day stay, my room was not cleaned on several days and when brought to the managers attention she flat out called me a liar. We found the pool side servers too rude and several other guests had mentioned the same. They would make comments under their breath about our orders and our party. Each drink was very inconsistent in its mixture and taste, even the same drink made several times for the same order. During our stay I also got food poisoning at Cinko. The servers at the restaurants were adequate. While the hotel does boast several restaurants, none are particularly note worthy.
Having stayed at both Atlantis and Baha Mar, I would choose to return to Atlantis.

The resort itself was nice but everything from the food to the pool chairs were way to expensive. I've never stayed at a resort that pool chairs were rented.
Water was $8-$10 per bottle! Ridiculous! Will not be back. Expedia did a great job helping us with flights and planning :)

Amazing beaches and good times but terrible staff to say the least. Sorry but service for this type of hotel was horrible, just rude for no reason. Soon as you check-in you owe them $100 bucks a day upfront for room cleaning (use Costco travel and save the $100 daily charge). Don't bother calling any service from your room, no one will picks up, it will ring into oblivion. i.e. We asked for an iron, took two days for us to get it. Funky smell in the bathroom but you just live with it, go have fun but don't expect 5 start treatment.

They make you feel like you are bothering them. First person who smiled at me was a the person who helped me with the luggage when I was leaving. They are rude and don’t make you feel welcome.

Very disappointed with the food and service. The restaurant advertises gluten-free options online, and we even called ahead to confirm they could accommodate a gluten-free diet. However, when we arrived, there were essentially no gluten-free options available. This was frustrating and misleading, especially after taking the time to verify beforehand. I hope they update their website and provide accurate information to future customers.

The Grand Hyatt Baha Mar is a beautiful property. Right on the beach with plenty of chaise lounges and towels always available. Some of the staff were friendly and some not so much. Maybe it's the Bahamian culture.... Despite any not so friendly encounters, most of the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The food and drink at this resort is very expensive so be prepared when you go. They have a beautiful casino that we passed by every day on our way to the beach. We did not check it out.
Overall, a great, relaxing vacation on a beautiful beach at a beautiful resort.

Beautiful property. Awesome staff. I had a great experience overall, however, I won’t be going back because # 1, everything there is waaay to expensive. You pay a high price for the room as it is…so the extremely high prices around the property were disappointing. # 2, the property is just too large. Sounds crazy…but it’s like a mini Disney with subpar signage. I felt like nothing was close and it was always a hike and a workout to find a pool or get to the beach (or water park, or restaurants, flamingos, bars, etc).

Staff was outstanding! With particular shout outs to Andre and the Fountain towel area and seating staff and Ryan at the pool bar.Mona at Cleo our server was also very good.
Rooms were clean and spacious. We had ocean view that was beautiful.
The food was always great with Carna and Cleo both delicious and generous.
The consierge staff were friendly and helpful.
We hope to be back next year.

The resort was beautiful, but the service there is absolutely terrible. I would not recommend going there. For starters they gave me the wrong room upon arrival and when i advised the front desk they put me in another room that had a Juliette balcony when I payed for an actual balcony. The room I was in did not have that, you could not sit outside at all. The staff was also unpleasant and at 5pm they take away the umbrellas and items from the beach and all of the pools close at 7pm, leaving guest with little \"free\" night time activities. The Regatta buffet was always closed, although their web page stated otherwise and the food on the premises were very expensive. For a luxury resort, I expected the staff to be more welcoming, instead they seemed bothered by everything. Even the food trucks on the beach didn't open on time. When the guy came around and took the umbrella from me while I was laying on the beach I asked him why and he said \"you didnt hear me say it was five o'clock\" This was beyond rude and the guys would take the rafts and kayaks back at 4pm, even though they said that you could use them until 5pm. When i asked, I was told they take them out earlier to clean them so they can leave at 5! They do not cater to their guests in a way that feels luxurious, instead they are rude. When we went to Margheritaville, we spoke to a staff member there who said that the staff at grand hyatt are very stuck up and she's heard things as well. I would not recommend this place.

We just stayed for 6 days during the “rainy season” and the weather was perfect. Beautiful new hotel! 8 am beach, 9 am pool, 10 am waterpark & repeat. You do not need to leave the resort! Plenty of food options and although a bit expensive, there are plenty of options for $20-$40 meals. Great for families!

We loved our stay. The reserve breakfast and snacks were excellent. My daughter loved getting her hair braided by Skinny who is so pleasant and friendly to talk to. She was a highlight of our trip! We had awful food at Swimming Pigs. We loved Sugar Factory, Cleo and Stixx. My son also slipped and fell on someone’s spilled drink in the elevator that seemed to have been there for a while. Staff took care of it in a quick manner. Overall had a great vacation, but one and done for us.

The property was beautiful and well maintained. The staff was very dismissive and uninterested in helping. We attempted to book several excursions and had multiple cancellations without any attempt to help book new ones. We attempted to book multiple reservations to different restaurants and the app did not work. We physically went to the restaurants and were told they could not make reservations and we had to use the app. We went to the concierge to have them book and they also could not make any reservation. So we never got to attend any restaurant that required a reservation. Also in the morning everything outside opened so late and closed so early 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Beautiful property! We had a good stay for the most part. Hyatt should be upfront and transparent about the holds for incidentals. We stayed there 3 nights. At check in we were informed that in addition to the resort fees they would also be placing a hold for $200 a day on our card. Never heard of this until upon check in. Full transparency would be appreciated.

Be careful with your bills. Double check them. Try not to say your room number too loud. I got charges on my bill that we’re not mine!!! Staff is super rude and most of the staff look bothered to wait on you. Front desk girl had a major attitude and did not made us feel welcomed when we arrived. There was only one manager Rhoda that was excellent and cared about us and followed up with our complaints. She truly was the best and knows hospitality! Our TV didn’t work when we were there which was quite annoying for my husband that wanted to watch the World Cup! We love the Bahamas but not the attitude!!

Beautiful mega resort with incredible views and things to do without leaving the resort. From the casino to the pools (8 maybe) to the people who work here. All good things to say, traveled with two kids and it was actually pretty, pretty perfect at the Hyatt. Nothing but good people and activities to do here. Room was solid, booked an ocean view, don’t recommend paying extra since my view wasn’t even the full ocean view (got robbed here) other than that, clean room with tub/ stand up shower. All rooms have a balcony (from what I saw)

The Grand Hyatt staff at check in was the absolute worst. I upgraded, had proof from the Hyatt app and confirmation on my upgrade to the reserve. The manager there kept arguing with me, then proceeded to be extremely rude, and gave me a room that was barely cleaned. Then I had to go down 3 times because my keys were not working to get into the room. They didn’t believe me until the extremely rude manager decided to follow me. At that point I felt like they were doing everything to ruin my day, which they did. After going down, I had to literally stay for 2 hours while my wife and kids were in the smelly, dirty room which they charged me extra money to get into early. After the manager said I can upgrade but wanted much more per night then what it showed I paid for on the Hyatt app. After 2 hours she finally gave me the upgrade I paid for in the RESERVE. But ONLY IF I PAID HER MONEY ON THE SIDE. Which I 100% did so I could get the room I needed and upgraded too before getting to the property the day before.
After going to the reserve, everyone on that side was so much different, they were happy to help, they helped take off unnecessary money that the Hyatt side charged me. They also told me next time come right to the reserve. Unfortunately there won’t be a next time for me to visit because of the problems I had. Even at some of the restaurants the hostesses were unbelievably rude, didn’t care about what you had to say or asked. I’m telling everyone I know NOT to go to Hyatt

Baha Mar feels like it is trying very hard to be the Las Vegas of the Bahamas. It is distractingly expensive, even charging $4 for hot water. There are no restaurants specifically for families with kids. There is a pizza restaurant and a noodle restaurant, but the minimum bill for a family of 3 is still $150.
The resort is focused around its giant casino. It has a large waterpark, which is why we selected it, but its waterpark is better suited for older kids with the surf park and rides over 48”. It has two more extreme rides that are for single riders, but both need technical maintenance. My son rode both and ended up with huge scratchs down his back from bad joints and bad maintenance. He did not ride either of the extreme slide more than once.
The food around the pool is fine, but nothing special and averages $18-$22/burger with cokes at $10. We expected expensive, but they are taking advantage of guests.
The bartenders around the pool are on average disinterested in creating drinks and very interested in not doing anything, let alone their jobs. We tried several different bars, always focusing on being polite and appreciative towards them and were always dismissed. Each drink is also accompanied by a mandatory tip and resort fee, so your $18 mai tai costs $22 without any additional tip for the bartender.
We were equally distracted by the overly expensive specialty restaurants. The sushi restaurant asked $50 for a Hawaii roll that costs $22 at home.

We had a great time at Baha Mar. We had our 12 year old granddaughter with us and she had a blast but for the very expensive cost there were some things that were a little disappointing. I realize the property isn't brand new but it needs to be maintained a little better. In our room, the fridge door was broken, the door handle and lock on our sliding door were broken and the patio chairs were not in the best shape. The room was clean overall but thick dust on the lights and stains on the carpet. Overall the resort was fairly clean but felt like trash was not picked up through out the resort - of course people shouldn't leave crap lying around, but sadly, they do. As stated in numerous reviews - food was SO expensive and amenties that weren't free were to - $86 for pickleball is stupid. The mini golf course was beautiful and the water park was super nice. Getting out early is required to get a pool front chair because so many were reserved for people paying a high price for a chair - and 80% of those were empty the entire time. Again, we had a good time, but will not go back.

Food was way overpriced. Half the staff did not appear happy to be working. Elevators were fast. Waterpark nice as were multiple pools. Waste of pickleball courts. No open play. Casino was nice. Would not return. Many excessive charges including resort fees , service charges, VAT tax.

Property is huge , but we never got the feeling of being in a crowd.
Excellent restaurants throughout , although extremely pricey, and reservations the week ahead are helpful.
Beach was so nice with ample chairs and umbrellas.
Sea turtle sanctuary on property and up close interaction with feeding them was a delight.
Many excursions available to nearby islands and activities.

I traveled with my daughter and sister. While I was surprised by the additional $600+, we still had an amazing 4-day vacay. We enjoyed Pizza Lab and Stix. The Sugar Factory was very disappointing. The service was excellent, but the food was not. The beach and the Blue Hole were great for pics. The goal of the trip was relaxation and sun. Mission accomplished. Factor in an extra couple hundred when budgeting…but, absolutely book the trip!

Our stay at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. The resort is beautiful, impeccably maintained, and offers something for everyone. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to go above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

The pools, beach, restaurants, and amenities exceeded our expectations. Every area of the resort was clean, well-organized, and designed to create a relaxing and memorable experience. The food was excellent, and there were plenty of activities for both adults and children.

Traveling with our family, we truly appreciated how family-friendly the resort was while still feeling luxurious and upscale. The views were breathtaking, and the overall atmosphere made it difficult to leave.

We created memories that will last a lifetime and would not hesitate to return. Thank you, Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, for an unforgettable vacation. We highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Nassau, Bahamas!
