Great spot to stay in the middle of Legian and Kuta. Set back down an alley way off Jl Legian, it is a very quiet area and you don’t hear the street noise. Pool has a swim up bar and wonderful place to have a drink and relax after a busy day doing touristy things.
2nd time we’ve stayed here and definitely will again

The Niche Hotel is right in the heart of Kuta. The location is great, with easy access to the beach (approx. 10 min walk), shops, restaurants, and bars/clubs. Despite being so central, the rooms are very quiet. If you don't feel like venturing far, there are several convenience stores within 1-3 minutes walk.

Room was nice, clean, and a good size. Shower was warm with great water pressure. Wi-Fi was good - could even stream Netflix with no issues. To my surprise - my room even had a built-in Australian electricity socket!

The hotel at the pool is a nice size and quite refreshing all day long. Of note is that it has railed stairs entering into the pool - which seems quite rare in Bali. (This was very important to me as I clumsily injured my foot on my last holiday trying to heave myself out of a pool.) It also has lots of underwater ledges to relax on and even a pool bar open for service all day.

The food at the hotel itself is quite nice and reasonably priced. There were always lots of staff around happy to help with anything.

Overall, would highly recommend. Was very happy with my stay.

We were only here for 1 night before flying home. Good central location. Did allow us a late check out, but charged well for it!
Pleasant staff and good breakfast.
One thing to warn anyone about is the swimming pool. It was lovely and clean with nice seating round it. However, the steps around it and the seats at the pool bar have very sharp edges and points. My adult son cut his foot quite deeply just catching the edge as he swam. I say this as more of a warning than a complaint.

Our flight arrived late so we stayed here for only one night for convenience. The rooms were clean and the staff were very courteous. We had a lovely breakfast before heading out to Ubud. The property had a lovely pool but we didn’t use it. Our adult children went to the store to get some snacks when we arrived. They felt very unsafe when walking in the area but this is not the hotels fault.

My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay. We had no complaints, EXCEPT that I didn’t like the fact that house keepers ate from the mini bar to make it seem as if it was us. Luckily we caught it when we returned from an outing and reported it immediately. Nice place and great staff 😊

Locally owned so happy the money stays local. Only issue we had was the neighbor coming home and having a big fight and waking is up. Not the hotels fault but doesnt leave you feeling happy and relaxed So we left the next day. Pity people don’t respect the quiet culture.

Great location, peaceful atmosphere, friendly staff. Reception are very helpful, Security is good, Housekeeping are hard working, Restaurant does good food (try the Aussie Burger). Guests seem to be mostly middle age couples there to relax around the pool. I would stay here again if in the area.

Our third visit to the Niche. Many people you talk to are also return visitors, some for 10 years. Very quiet, just off the main drag (down lane way so minimal noise) but still close to everything. Staff make this place! Because it is small they all remember your name and nothing is too much trouble. Rooms clean and comfortable and surround the pool area with great swim up pool bar. Will be back!

Pool water was warmer than shower. It was about a 25 minute walk to beach. Close to shops and restaurants. Definitely recommend if they get hot water in shower. Bed was very comfortable. Air con worked well, shower was hot(low pressure), bed was comfy.

Pool area was well maintained. The pool bar gets closed st 10pm so any excitable patrons either go out or to their rooms.

I stayed here for 14 days and I would stay here again.

The only downside was noisy renovations, but they have to do it at some point and I was there in the down season so that's fair. It was strictly kept to day hours too 8-5 sort of thing.

Overall I am happy to recommend this hotel in the heart of Legian street, Kuta. Staff were lovely and helpful too.

Our family had a very enjoyable stay at The Niche Bali hotel. We found the staff helpful with locations of good dining places & always happy to have a friendly chat with all who stayed their, you were made to feel like a regular. The location gave us peaceful times by the pool on rest days. They had security guards who kept our hotel area safe even through out the night and were always willing to help. We will indeed return to The Niche Bali hotel on our next visit to Bali & would highly recommend it to others.

It’s a small hotel off the main road close to all facilities.
Attracted to young and older people.
The Spa run by Putu, is very good but, the advertising of the Spa needs to be highlighted to customers.
The Niche spa is not marked on the room and is hidden away so therefore the guests are missing out on a very good experience by Putu who is a fantastic masseuse and healer who offers many treatments.
Putu is a credit to the Niche Hotel who needs more support from management and guests.

The niche was a nice little place tucked to the side on a busy street in Kuta. It was a 1 minute walk from the main street but it made a huge difference with not hearing music noise at night time. Rooms and spacious and got cleaned daily. The few things I did not like was the room service knocking on our door every morning around 8-9am while we are sleeping, and everyday I went to the door and said we are sleeping and they would come back the same time everyday. Also, the WIFI was not the best but it did work, however it was very spotty.

We spent 11 nights at The Niche Bali and it was a lovely hotel and would definitely stay again. It has a beautiful pool, staff that were only to happy to please and delicious food and cocktails. We got a great rate for the triple room, there was plenty of space and my bed was super comfy. With plenty of shopping on your doorstep the location was pretty good. I would recommend The Niche Bali for anyone on a budget.

Stayed 5 nights Rooms where clean and cleaned every day, Hotel grounds where very clean rooms are modern with with new showers maybe just a little bit basic but still very good. Breakfast is god you can order pankackes or noodles, bacon eggs ect to be cooked for you otherwise just cereal and fruits toast ect could use orange juice though only pineapple and blended flavour. Did have some mossies in our rooms at night as the seal on the door had a gap but the did have an mossie killer pad for every night and we just bought a can of spray and sprayed the bottom of the door which worked. The pool was nice and the staff excellent great service. Location was good in legian just down from the memorial by about 200m off the main road, have to walk down a little lane about 20m long but was no problem and it ment that the hotel was incredibly quiet could no hear any of the noise from the main drag.

Great hotel! Just a noisy neighbourhood..

We stayed at The Niche for 9 nights in October. It is a small hotel with only about 40 rooms (which we loved) and has a beautiful pool with a swim up bar. Perfect for couples or a group of friends, not so much families. All the staff were amazing and would go out of their way to fulfill any request big or small. The rooms were basic but large and always spotlessly clean. The only faults would be that the beds were a bit hard and the noise! There would be music going until about 3/4am every night - not from the hotel itself which was very quiet so must've been a nearby bar. Had to sleep with earplugs in every night. If you enjoy the nightlife though it would be the perfect place to stay as the clubs are only a short walk away. Location wise it is walking distance to everything, markets, shops, restaurants, beach so it was nice not having to taxi often as the traffic is horrendous - i think we were faster walking. All in all we enjoyed our stay, especially for the price. Absolutely loved the pool and the swim up bar (one of the main reasons we chose to stay here). But would maybe stay somewhere a little bit more quiet next time as we are not into the nightlife scene.

We were very happy with our stay. From the moment we arrived early and they welcomed us anyway, the staff made a fantastic impression. Check in was smooth and we were thrilled with the size and cleanliness of our room and although an older hotel everything worked, including the Australian power points.There is some nightclub noise from nearby until the early hours, but was barely heard from inside our room. This small hotel is not a resort, but covers all the bases for the right price. The location is fantastic - 10 mins walk to the beach, 30 seconds to many restaurants and shops. It is probably not the right place for young children as they might get bored, nor should you choose a 2nd floor room if you can't use the stairs as there is no lift, although the staff will carry your bags with a smile!

The hotel was clean, staff were friendly and I consider that it was good value for money.

The only issuer I had was that check out is at 1000 AM. This means for the majority of travelers that they need late check out ($40) to check out at 1800. Had there been a shower associated with the communal toilet by the pool that would have been adequate.

Location is close to everything that means upstairs rooms are affected by neighboring clubs etc. Ground floor rooms are highly sought after.
