Basic hotel in my opinion, and a great hotel if all you wanted to do was not be in it.
No storage or hanging space for clothes at all!
Pool is nice, but pictures make it look better than it was.
Rooms were cleaned daily, but the smell in the shower was horrendoes, like actual sewers.
First room we had was on the 4th floor, but we asked to be moved due to screaming kids at all hours day and night. And i dont mean a baby, i mean kids running riot down the hallways. Not the hotels fault, and they did move us same day.
Staff were all lovely, cannot fault them. Food ok when we ordered for room service. Breakfast was not for us in the slightest...carbonara!!
Didn't use the spa so can't comment.

I wouldn't stay here again if i was to come back to Kuta/Legian. There are 100% better hotels in the area for similar price.

Hotel really nice, great location, friendly & helpful staff. Room internal noise insulation poor though, I could hear every single bump from my neighbours to the side, upstairs, and especially the corridor which carries it for quite some distance, even just generally people moving around, chatting, not actually creating a disturbance

Swimming pool had loungers alaways avaliable. Downstairs road entry bar is 24 hours. I have stayed here previously and will very happily stay here again. Lovely shower water delivery and temperature. Buffet breakfast from 7am or even earlier finishes at 10am.

Great hotel to stay at for a long trip. We have stayed there for 10 days total. Breakfast has a big verity of food, the room is always clean, they have a very nice restaurant. Very close to Kuta beach, and close to all main locations.

The only downside that we had was the wifi/connection issues. We stayed on the first floor, and the wifi only worked like 10% of the time, and our phones would show no service as soon as we get into the room.

The hotel has a major dust mite problem throughout the hotel. The nearby club plays loud music until 3:30 am in the morning thus I needed to use my ear plugs everyday. The breakfast is very good, it is located near the beach, the airport and Beachwalk Shopping Center, which is the biggest mall on Bali.

Reception staff Okta and Juni are always polite, nice.

Security at the front of the hotel DO NOT help hotel guests cross the road safely. They are 2 guys and they just text or talk on their phones.

Sadly, Agun from the Cafe has left...Agun was a very nice, professional and polite employee.

Joel from reception and me had a misunderstanding at first BUT eventually he gave me a nice room, room 323 next to the Elevator as I have health issues.

J4 hotels is a nice hotel in a great, central location.

I will continue to be a J4 loyal customer forever..

cant fault the hotel its great stayed multiple times and will keep coming back, ive stayed in your standard rooms and your deluxe superior or something and the cheaper room air-conditioning is better than your expensive room.
only down fall i besides the aircon i had was i wanted to get some laundry done i went down at 9am to ask about it but got told i wont get it back till around 10pm that evening when i can just go down street to the many vendors and have it done in 2-3 hours.

The property was fairly clean, but i did have to kill a couple of cockroaches. The shower flow was poor, but the hot water was constant. The staff were friendly. Conveniently located right on a busy strip with access to bars, restaurants and convenience stores. Even though I didn't give it 5 stars, I would still recommend this property.

For the price this hotel is reasonable. It's location is great and close to almost everything so walking distance to Poppies lanes, Kuta Beach, entertainment and access to taxis/scooters. The facilities do need some work though - the rooms need ventilation and it felt that the air con wasn't turned on for a while in my room. Buffet options are ok but they were cold even the hot food that was in warmers. On a busy day, it's hard to find plates and cutleries. Pool was a plus with a great view of Kuta and you'll get a lovely sunset as well from the pool deck.

The property as a whole felt very run down. Our room wasn’t the cleanest and the walls are very very thin. In addition you can hear music going on until early hours of the morning. As a whole being a female traveller I just didn’t feel very safe in the room.

J4 Hotel is good value for money. The room is what is expected of a 3.5 star hotel. The public areas like the lobby, the walkways are a bit worn out. The staff are very helpful, friendly and very professional. Its proximity to nightlife, Jalan Poppies II and Kuta beach makes it a perfect hotel to stay in for those who wants to be close to everything.

Cockroach Infested Stay

I could’ve looked past the dirt stained walls, the corner stained bedding, and even the mold in the bathroom shower, but I drew the line at being woken up by a cockroach crawling up my arm. And then being surprised by another 3 of its friends in the bathroom and a bigger one on the wall by the bed. It was absolutely disgusting! I will most definitely not be coming back

The shower was in pretty bad shape - mainly just a single stream rather than a shower. The TV had no instructions. If I had been there longer than one night I would have been annoyed. The pillows are enormous. Too big. Quite hard to put your head on as they sit very high on the bed. Aside from that the breakfast was decent and the room fairly clean but just a little tired. I didn't pay a lot though so can't complain too much.

Stayed in the most expensive room they had overall room was nice , toilet was bad shower had 0 pressure , when we checked out the sheet on the bed had a stain on it and they charged 500,000 so $50 to pay for the sheet even knowing the bleach the sheet and re use it anyway , asked that $50 was steep they were so rude the food was so bad not appealing in look or taste “stay away from breakfast” you will thank me later toast with butter is the only eatable thing , would never go back , considering staying in the premier room was treated very poorly and also had no “free minibar” that was in the price and in the booking ….. stay elsewhere

I like everything this hotel offered. It has really good location. Near shops, restaurants and walking distance to the beach. I would say this hotel might not be suitable for family traveling with children as the noise from the night clubs nearby wont stop until 4 AM in the morning. Even thought the window is double glazed, you still can hear the music from your room. I would recommend to bring ear plugs if you cant sleep with noise.

Decent hotel right next to SkyGarden Bali (if you don't like noise and want to sleep, this may not be the place for you). It's very convenient if you're a night owl. Everything was nice and clean here. We enjoyed the breakfast and even dinner on the roof. Enjoyed my stay, would come back.

I enjoyed the rooftop pool. The sheets was dirty, you only got 2 towels to dry off with no small towels, and if you needed more of anything you had to pay. If I needed an extra towel I would have to pay.

I requested a shuttle and the driver wasn’t at the airport so I had to take a taxi. 250 idr for a taxi, and I would have paid 150 idr for the shuttle. They gave me free ride to the airport, but that would have only costed me 100 idr.

In the heart of the nightlife

I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Spacious and modern. I had a balcony, which I like. View wasn't the greatest but that's ok. Convenient to the nightlife as it's on the main road. This however does cause for a lot of traffic during the middle and late parts of the day. Lots of shopping and restaurants near by. Short walk to the beach, maybe 10 to 15 minutes if I recall. Overall, great experience I recommend for anyone.

Good location, right next the sky garden night club if you are going to party. This is a party area so expect it to be really noisey past midnight. You can hear the nightlife and music. If you are looking for something more quiet I would look elsewhere. Not far walk to the beach. The hotel towels needs to be replaced. We had very very old towels with holes in them. We asked for new towels and received some in the same condition. Beware of what the hotel charges you and save all your receipts. We used their transportation service and paid it in the full the night we arrived but on the day we were leaving, the hotel said we had not paid. It wasn't until we showed them our copy of the receipt did they let us checkout, we almost missed our ride due to this.

Smack in the heart of Legian's party zone, you step right out into Kuta's bar and club scene. Very well located within a short walk of Matahari shopping area, Made's Warung, Jamie's Italian, Hard Rock Cafe, Poppies Lane and Kuta Beach. Ideal for those looking to indulge in the nightlife but not suited for families with young children or those who prefer a quiet atmosphere as you can hear pulsating club music every night. Rooms are very clean and comfortable, excellent guest services.

Stayed for 6 nights Iver Xmas and I don't even think it's value for money at $50 per night. Nightclubs on either side of the building so that's all you can hear toll 2am every night. Room hasn't had a descent clean for years with lots of built up grime especially in the bathroom. We only ate breakfast twice as it was very boring and plane with minimal effort put in to provide descent food. The pool area is basically but it did the job, basically no service down by the pool though and you need to order at the bar.

The hotell is located in the middle of the party street, if you like loud music and heavy bass playing to 5AM in the morning then this hotell is for you. The hotellroom was clean but very small. There was no room to open up the bagage. Swimming pool didnt look so clean so we didnt use it.

Great Location for nightlife and entertainment.

I love staying here, the staff and security are always super friendly and helpful.
The Wifi is rubbish on lower levels.. so if WiFI is important.. ask for level 3 or above.
Breakfast is good enough, my tip is if a buffet breakfast is not included in your stay... choose al a carte as you get a really good breakfast for about 2/3 of the price of the buffet.

Roughly 15 minute walk to the beach, close to a few good restaurants and bars, great food at the rooftop bar. The curtains were great at keeping light out in the early morning, but it was a bit noisy. That may be due to our window not closing properly.

The quality of the hotel overall was fantastic. It was very clean and modernized. Staff was friendly, and the service was great. They had 24 hour room service, which we enjoyed very much. The area can be loud at night as it is in the middle of club area. But the sound actually didn't bother us that much. The rooftop swimming pool was also very enjoyable.

3rd room delux, toilet did not work. Bathroom door did not close
4th room bathtub taps very loose the card reader failed. Card failed

Great boutique hotel in the heart of the Kuta nightlife. Although right in the middle of all the nightclubs, they have soundproofed the windows and you get a great night sleep. Extremely comfortable king bed and pillows, nice bathroom, nice window that they managed to give you a secluded view that is nice and relaxing, good room safe and nice desk. The hotel is new, well maintained and you can tell! Walkable to the beach and other local spots of interest. The staff is awesome and stored my luggage and valuables while I was exploring other areas of Bali. Love this place and have stayed several times.

Enjoyed my stay as usual and J4 Hotel Legian. Despite being right next door to the largest and most popular nightclub in Kuta, the room is always quiet and comfortable. The bed is extremely comfortable which is awesome, the room is large and the hotel has free luggage storage which is great if you want to run off on overnight trips in other parts of Bali or nearby Islands. Located in the heart of the action of Kuta, it's still only about a 15-minute walk to the beach.

Very nice room. Buffet was frustrating as they completely cleared my table after each trip to get more food. I went to get something and came back to someone else sitting at my table. Free welcome drink is juice which was disappointing. Wifi works in the rooms, but you need to sign in constantly. Very annoying!

Kuta Hotel nightclub area

Nice new and Modern Hotel right in the middle of the night club area. The room was well insulated and quiet even though it was close to all the action. Food was good at the restaurant and staff was friendly. I hired a driver from the hotel for a tour up north and also to drop me off at the airport.
