We loved the location, on a quiet stretch of the island but everything easily accessible with a short Grab ride.

The Ocean View Suite was huge and comfortable. We cooked most meals in the room and had everything we needed.

If you want peace and quiet with a beautiful view this is it. Access to food is down the road a 5 minute walk to roadside hawkers. Need a car or have hotel call taxis.

Very quiet small resort, extraordinary appartments made from old sea containers. 200m from the highway and 2 km from Kuah (restaurants, streetfood, shopping ...). Directly by the sea (no possibility to swim). Infinity pool (almost nobody there). Very friendly staff. Highly recommended for pair, independent travellers and people who want to spent time on calm and quiet place.

Amazing romantic secluded environment. Away from any activities so car rental needed which was very inexpensive. Perfect meditation yoga and relaxation place. The view and sound of the ocean was a very romantic setting.

The property does not look like how it is presented online. There is no bar, no restaurant, no staff after 6pm. The few staff members there are really nice, but the residence has seen better days. I think covid took its toll on it. The area around the residence is abandoned and the city of Kuah doesn’t offer much. The access to the residence is just via a very busy street. If you don’t have transport yourself I would not recommend. We were generally a bit disappointed and changed hotel.

Good and tranquil hotel that's in need of manyfold renovations.

Location is nice, between Kuah and the famous cenang beach. That being said, you definitely need some sort transportation, e.g. car/scooter - grab app would be a good alternative if you do not want to drive.

Big property located not far from airport and Kuah town. Ocean suite room is super spacious 3 bedrooms, 2baths with kitchen. The only thing we weren't comfortable is with the room decoration. The painting near the entrace door is super scary.

Love this little hotel.personal touch from start to end.great staff and the service.we stayed at the longhouse rm with pool access which was superb.Next time will comebac n stay in they front villas which were beautiful n cosy.The beach is not meant for swimming but the view n setup is lovely.Nice pool too.

This is a very peaceful spot. This might be because there’s no beach here but the views across the water to the neighbouring islands makes up for that. About a 10 minute cab ride from Kuah. (Use the GRAB App or My Car App for getting around )
The rooms are basic but exceptionally clean. The bed was super comfortable. We stayed in a LongHouse room so had access straight from our terrace to the 60m pool. All the staff were super helpful and friendly throughout our stay.
One problem we had was the poor access to the WiFi. We ended up using our personal hotspot most of the time.
Definitely would recommend this place as it is exceptional value for money.

A sunny family vacation at Langkawi

It was a very good stay. The surrounding was nice and peaceful. We were pleasantly surprised when we turned in from the main road where a ruin building stand. This property was well hidden from the main road. Except the water rationing which lasted for over 6 hours on one of the days when we were there, everything else was excellent. We thought the food quality can be further improved though.

This place is nice and quiet compared with resorts but it's far from everything, there is nothing within walking distance.

Unfortunately their website isn't up to date and they don't have a spa on site. We were looking forward to the spa so that we could take advantage while our daughter napped. They propose a spa offsite that offers transportation but It's on a busy road in town, not exactly the same experience as a massage at the ocean.

The advertise the tidal pool as an attraction but it's disgusting with a shiny film.on the water, nobody would ever go in that. The main pool is very small. The longhouse pool with a entrance from your room is fun until some prick and his young kids are playing and making noise at midnight and the hotel does nothing about it.

The breakfast doesn't offer many options for those that aren't in the mood for Chinese and Indian in the morning.

Hotel management accused us of a broken wall light that we never touched. What disappointed me most the manager interrogating us like a police detective, though we spent good amount for two units 11 nights.

Beware of mosquitoes if you have babies

Liked: pool, morning view, room space
Disliked: mesquitoes bites to babies, baby cots had bed bugs; informed management but they did nothing, low tide every afternoon makes see look like a muddy lagoon, perhaps also this bring that much of mosquitoes. Hotel should provide mosquito net.
Very basic breakfast, 2-3 dishes rotate every two days, rest don't change all days.

Nice resort.

Very nice resort, clean and interesting breakfast - more on the asian style. You could stay there all day long hang out at the pool. If you want to see the island and have dinner it's necessary to hire a car. Personally I would get rid of the tidal pool, its nonesense, better block the water to create the swamp.

Unexpected Jewel of a Getaway

We booked this property knowing beforehand it is not beachfront but the view was fantastic! The swimming pool more than sufficed. The whole resort is in a peaceful and quaint location, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of traffic and tourist crowds.
With car rental from the airport aplenty and affordable, the beach and other attractions are easily accessible, all within 30 mins drive away.
Breakfast spread was good, more than enough to get you ready for the day's adventure.
The staff were very friendly and courteous.

We stay at the Ocean Suite which is large and comfortable for families. Check in is prompt and receptionist is friendly. All the staff there is friendly and greeted you with smile all the time. Swimming pool is clean. Breakfast is alright. It’s located at a quite place and the view facing the sea is quite superb. Hearing the sea lapping sound is blissful. Pantai Cenang about 15km away and Kuah town 6km away.

This property is in an isolated location. There is no beach and their saltwater pool is essentially a garbage collection that you are forced to look at while viewing the ocean from the main pool area. The main pool is nice, but there were many families with young children around the pool creating chaos. If you're looking for a quiet location to enjoy around the pool this is not it. Additionally alcohol is not allowed around to pool so you can'y even enjoy a beer while laying by the pool on a hot day. The room we stayed in was a converted sea transport canister. The room is okay, but this was not in the description and is misleading. They have a restaurant, but it's not open for supper so you'll have to get a taxi or grab into town for supper. The staff were friendly.

I can’t say enough about this resort. The staff and the service are excellent. We were there for one week and so relaxing and quiet. Too bad we could not have stayed for one more week as we were in another resort for one week and we had such a bad experience. The morning breakfast is so very good as they have different kinds of foods everyday. Although there is no beach the pool and resort area make up for it. I highly recommend this resort if anyone wants to visit Langkawi.

We stayed for a week at the Ocean Residence Resort and thoroughly enjoyed it. The resort is quite near Kuah, the capital city, but not close enough to be able to walk there so some people may find the resort slightly isolated, especially in the evening. There is no restaurant on site or nearby, which is a little annoying, so to eat you will have to get a taxi to Kuah - £4/€5 by taxi or £2 with UBER. If you don’t mind a takeaway the staff on site will organise one for you which usually takes about 45 mins to arrive.
The resort sits right on the sea front and consists of several detached units, a block made from shipping containers and a row of 11 units with a swimming pool in front which they call ‘the longhouse’. Our room was in the longhouse and was clean and comfortable, the pool which is right outside the bedroom door, is fantastic for an early morning dip. There’s also an infinity pool that looks across the ocean which is lovely. We were there for a week and found the place relaxing and peaceful and the staff friendly and helpful. We hired a car for 3 days, organised though the resort, and that allowed us to really see the island, which I have to say is beautiful and so easy to drive round. We loved it here and would return without hesitation.

The location is amazing, the sea / island views are to die for. There was a very friendly receptionist team and a good breakfast, we had an average room, very big but the upholstery on the sofa needs a good cleaning, no hot water in the sinks ( not even piped for hot water) and everything quite dated. The restaurant closes at 2pm and only serves a very limited range of drinks. So you have to either hire a car or it’s taxis everywhere for dinner as there is nothing “walkable” There is no beach but lovely grassed areas to soak up the sun and there is a lovely pool. This place is really a bit of an enigma. Don’t use their shuttle service either, it’s twice that of a taxi from the airport. Tip use either Uber or Grab and you’ll get great deals on taxis.

We booked 2 Longhouse rooms which were next to each other. Great if they have interconnecting rooms. We had a wonderful 2 nights stay at the clean and wonderful hotel. My whole family enjoyed the breakfast at the beautiful restaurant.The ambience is just so relaxing. Will definitely book this hotel again if we visit Langkawi.

I can’t say enough about how much we loved this property. Exceptional value, fantastic service, great location. We loved it!! We stayed on the second floor in the contaainer building and enjoyed a fantastic view. The room was huge and lovely, Great patio deck. Though there was no restaraunt on site, the staff arrange for dinner to be delivered. Six course Indian dinner - delivered - for under 20 bucks US. GREAT. Staff was amazing. We got their early so they stored our bags and chilled our wine. When we got back - they had moved EVERYTHING to our room and placed the wine in our fridge. Keep in mind these folks are Muslim- made us feel SO welcome. Then when we left - my husband left his wedding ring the room. They called our cab so we could come back and retrieve it!! Staff also made arrangements for our cabs to the cable car and the airport. Really can’t say enough about how great this place is!! VERY quiet and lovely!! Outstanding!!

Good for short stay.However it will good if Management can put the lamp on the entrance road infront KDN. Too Dark at night, cannot see your sign board and scary abandond building.

One more thing, we go out and come back late around 1am at night. Hovewer the gate were closed and i already 'hon' about 10 minutes then later the gates were open.

Breakfast were good. Nice short stay. Have bbq area and the view were superb.

We were late for check out after our skytrex. Despite having another guests checking in after us, they graciously allow us to use the room to wash up before checking out.
This shows that the staff are flexible and demonstrates care and service to hotel guests.

We are 4adults staying in container house with 2 rooms. The room is spacious and comfort. The hotel environment is quite and green. Breakfast variety is good. The electricity cut of a few times on the 2nd night due to the lightning but it recovered in less then 10mins everytime. The only disappointing is there are no phone and emergency call number provided in the room. Overall we are happy with this hotel and will come back agin.

That said it wasn't expensive to take a taxi in to town to eat. Bit too far away from centre to walk but good for a quiet break. There is nothing other than pools and the view at this hotel. Services are minimal. They do not serve dinner. There are no nearby restaurants. So if you want somewhere lively this place is not for you. But if you want a peaceful hideaway (depending on other guests) and intend to rent a car, or use taxis then this might be perfect for you. Room furnishings and bedding are a little worn, but all very clean. Very reasonable rate for ocean (not beach) front hotel. I loved it.

Lovely scenery, islands in the background which is beaut, but would be bored staying for long. Out the way and have to get taxis everywhere. Room perfectly clean, staff so helpful and lovely. No spa though. Breakie and lunches nice. No dinner, have to get it from local take away which deliver. Took 1.5 hours to come and wasn't very hot.

Awesome Long House with pool access concept !!!

Very neat and clean hotel.....only no dinner and room conference phone not there...which was a pain cause everytime you need to go to the reception to ask them to give plates , water glasses etc.....else amazing view with nature...goodworth for your money...special mention small but elegant infinity pool....long house was actually a great concept...really liked the resort...away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds yet very near to Kuah main centre...you'll need a car though

WoW ! is the one word !!!

The best resort we stayed throught out our trip... We stayed in a Longhouse which has a varanda opening to the swimming pool.. The room is really luxurious with amenties like TV, fridge,sofa sets, hair dryer, soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, shower caps etc.. They give complementary breakfast which is buffet and you will love it.. They also gave us an organic their factory made products such as moisturiser and a skin whitening cream as complenetary and organic / healthy welcom drink too. their location does not have beach but faces to a shallow part of ocean.. they have parking spaces too.
From langkawi airport you can get a car hired for rental and drive to hotel.. it took around 15-20min max for us to reach there. Roads are awesome in langkawi and no traffic at all.. All together rated 5 from my side.

Except for the lack of internet connection, it was a great stay. Very comfortable rooms. Given the tropical environment we had frequent house lizards to entertain, but the view from the hotel property overlooked every small issue. The hotel itself is situated in a secluded area. So be sure to rent a car to be able to move around freely. Car rental is very inexpensive in langkawi.

Holiday in the middle of nowhere

The hotel is really in the middle of nowhere, if we did not rent a car we have been stuck and basically it have been impossible to get some food in the evening. The beach is not existen, it is only rocks. The pool is okay and can be used. The breakfast is very basic, not something you looks forward to. I regret we did not check the location of the hotel in advance, and this is for sure not the hotels problem. The staff are very friendly and gives a good service, and the seawiev from our room was very good.

The access road should be upgraded.

There are few under construction building and its really spoiled our mood for the good stay. There was no barricade to separate the building under construction. It means there could be a safety issue where they put the construction material at everywhere, i.e, near the roadside to restaurant.

The main road to access the hotel should be provided with proper road. Its just 150 metres from the main road but the road to residence is really dissapointed.

Nice hotel near the beach-good to have rented car

Nice hotel near the beach, very good views. However, need more directions to be provided along the road from the airport to Kuah town, specially since the hotel lies on the opposite side of the road. Since it lies atleast 4-5 kms before Kuah town, it might be a good idea to have rented car. Also, the fooding options are minimal - the car should take care of the same. Other than this, this hotel has a great view, an excellent set of people as its staff. Way off from the hustle bustle of Pentai Cenang, it offers a getaway to enjoy the tranquility.

Container room facing sea and calm

Nice room but need improvement in term of:
1. furniture arrangement.
2.There is no make room service.
3.Not much tv channel as they uses astro njoi service.
4. No menu or hotel leaflet/ info on hotel facility in the room
Overall nice view and quite hotel.

such a great view. calm & relax surrounding..good service from the workers..i'm so satisfied with the room which the long house style because its spacious,clean, and beautiful deco..the pool style room is great because we as a family can swim it anytime privately..but the location quite far from beach and still there are facilities still in construction..

Beautiful view but no service

The locatiob of the residences is away from all the touristy places which is good if you have rented a car and want a quiet place to relax. However, they offer very limited service. No dinnner is provided and breakfast did not seem too appetising so we skipped it. No intercoms or room service.

Not worth the money, No service after 6 pm

Pros: The hotel rooms were good and beds comfortable. You get pools by your room. The staff are helpful and can help with guiding you on your stay at Langkavi. Cons: The hotel is far away from most of the tourist locations and restaurants. Also it does not have a restaurant. So If you dont have a vehicle, food might be a major problem. The room service and reception are open only from 9 am to 6 pm, and if you need anything post these hours you cant get it from the hotel. Not even drinking water. The infinity pool and room side pool are quite small.

Awesome getaway

My family is more on swimming pool family rather than the beach. So this hotel has fulfilled our preference perfectly since the pool is right outside of our room. My daughter has had her time of her life here. The environment is very peaceful. It makes you feel like you are not in Malaysia.

Quite difficult to find since new. Renting a car is recommended since there s nothing around you can reach by foot. Hotel well maintained, new splendid garden surround our room in a bungalow with view on sea all around. Free Wifi. Bathroom average.

Still Work in Progress, But Should Get Better

This place is still relatively new, and many things are still work-in-progress. Some things are still not exactly working optimally. Once everything settles down and the teething problems are ironed out, this place has the makings of something good. The folks there were generally helpful and friendly, but they were only available in the day. We had some problems with the wi-fi connectivity and the shower on one of the nights, but the office was closed, and we did not know where to go to ask for assistance.

Beautiful views

My boyfriend and I stayed there for 4 & 1/2 days. We booked Studio B, but on arrival was given a much nicer room in the eco house. Our room had beautiful views, and was large and comfortable. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the bathroom, especially the shower. Its quite small, and the shower was tiny. Location is nice, a bit far from where you want to be, but its quiet and feels safe. Its very much a self serve kind of place - i think a small tourist information area would be really helpful. Overall a very pleasant stay, but if i was to go to Langkawi again, i might choose somewhere a little closer to Cenang Beach.

Rene værelser med gode senge. Desværre har ejerne ikke rigtig råd til at holde hotellet, hvilket betyder at restauranten er nedlagt og poolen noget medtaget. Men personalet er yderst venlige og så er udsigten skøn. Man kantareller en Grab og købe ind i det nærliggende super Teow Soon - som har et alsidigt udvalgt af alt.
