We booked 2 loft rooms and found them to be bright, modern and clean.
It was Ramadan during our visit so the restaurant and pool bar were closed, staff gave me an ice bucket and ice and we bought drinks locally for the pool, in the evening we ventured out to eat as the restaurant was being used for Ramadan buffets, that actually worked out well as we discovered more and more hidden gems each day.
Breakfast was on the mezzanine level, 25 ringet and was OK, we mixed it between the hotel and 2 other cafes as some mornings fancied and english breakfast.
Pool area was quiet, pool was not salt and was well positioned with a great view of the ocean. note there is no beach and the ocean cannot be accessed.
Like many hotels i'm guessing the Bella Vista is still recovering from the impacts of covid, a lick of paint is required externally but general maint looked good.
Staff were helpful and friendly.
Overall good value for money, loved the location but you do have to hunt bars, cafes and restaurants down but they are within a 15min walk and are good quality.

We stayed at Bella Vista for 4 nights. The pool was lovely, breakfast was great with lots of options. The hotel room was disappointing, very tired and old. Furniture needs replacing and toilets didn’t work properly. The staff were friendly and we enjoyed our stay.

Don’t be fooled by the beautiful pictures.

We booked a twin bed room but when we arrived at around 10pm the room was made up as a double. There is no safe in the room or at reception so we waited far too long for room service to change the bed as we didn’t want to leave all valuables while this was being done. This then unfortunately made us miss the fabulous local restaurant which closed at 11pm. We were really annoyed and had to eat at a rough place next door. Also the frontal picture of this hotel makes you think if you pay extra for a room facing the sea you will get a great view, NO YOU DONT! there are really high trees now hiding 80-90% of what could be a fabulous view. Breakfast is a shambles as many foods run out around an hour or more before shut down also cups, serviettes, coffee run out and staff disappear from their posts. The hotel smells of damp and is rather tatty, so don’t be fooled by the beautiful looking building and lush green grass.

The hotel is situated on the waterfront. There are loads of great restaurants right behind the restaurant. No beach nearby.
Also there is a brand new waterpark next to the hotel.

Check-in was fast and easy. They did not accept card for the room deposit which I had to pay $200 cash. Room was very spacious and big which was good. Air-con in all the rooms. The room itself was outdated. The pool facility did not smell all that great as it was next to the toilet and the water was a bit meekly.

The room was smaller than I was expecting, but my fault for not checking on the size. We upgraded at a bit of an overinflated price compared to what we would of got booking with hotels.com. The larger room was much better.
A very large party of guests stayed near us and I would of preferred it if the hotel would of asked them to keep the noise at acceptable level, but they turned a blind eye. It wasn’t acceptable.
Breakfast was good, staff were nice. Good location for getting about, but it is fairly quiet around that area.
Value for money if you pick the right room.

The hotel is very run down. The water tap of the sink is not secure and initially there was not cold water as someone turned it off due to water leak. The outlet of the shower floor was a bit blocked so water did not go fast and an inch of water was accumulated after shower. e paid extra for buffet breakfast and food quality is not that great

Indian Veg food options in are not good, half cooked food and tasteless..options in breakfast also quite less and same menu for Indian Veg..Not much special requests entertained first day for even providing parantha. 2nd day Chef prepared parantha after requesting again. Bar gets closed at 11 PM, sheesha is available but not after 11 pm if you want to sit till late. Hotel look is nice from outside, inside its just a general little old building. Location wise its fine. Overall OK experience.

Earlier i do feel dissapointed with my deluxe room facing seaview.Small and view is blocked by trees.Room is quite old.I approach the front staff Mr Ibrahim for room upgrade and delightedly help me to the Family room with a small amount to pay.We are satisfied and happy with the service recovery being made by him.All the staff are friendly.

We reached about 4.30pm but few rooms still can't check in. A significant improvement needed. We were expecting a good rest in the resort after long journey. However, we have to wait until 5.30pm only to check in another few rooms. Secondly, the morning breakfast area is obviously under staff. Short of man power. Plenty of guests but only few staffs to take care the refill of food, cleaning of table, handle the request from the guests. No staff is available when assistance needed. A good area to compliment of, good smiling face and greeting from the staffs. Good service from the reception counter make us feel warm. Thank you for that.

Very worst hotel that I experienced in my life

1. Unable to meet the commitments provided before making payment.
2. The 2 rooms that I booked have no water heater working.
3. I made a report about this issue in the evening about 5pm. No updates on the status. When I enquired them at 10.30pm, they are calling each other and telling me the solar system is not generating enough power and heat, so they can't do anything.
4. After quadrupling and asking for refund and cancel the booking they showed another two rooms which far away and each have connecting rooms but not willing to provide the connected rooms.
5. They are suggesting to have another two rooms only the next day and we have to change again on the following day.
6. Very limited food and very worst taste.
7. No one picks up tje call in the restaurant and Ordered the food for room delivery at 9.30pm through 'reception. Followed up 2 calls through reception 2 times at 10.15pm and 11.00pm. The response is the guy is on the way to deliver. After my related call at 11.30pm, the reception is responding that they forgot the order and they have to prepare now and delivered at 12.30am and asking whether I am ok. I cancelled the order and went to sleep without food.
8. They are demanding more money and deducted from the deposit.

We reach hotel after the check in time but the room is still not ready yet.And the time we reached our room the room are still not yet cleaning.We had been explained by staff that the room might taken by others earlier before and they changed the room but i think it is not a good reason and it will leave bad image for visitors. Rooms are big but dated, pool and rooms could be cleaner and some appliances (aircon TV and electric kettle, hot water) are not working. Staff is very attentive and when informed are quick to try to solve the problem but for this level of a hotel and competition in Langkawi they can do better. Location and parking convenient, next to one of the best seafood restaurants in Kuah.

The Management of The Hotel

I have booked a sea view deluxe room with 2 signle bed one month ago before i reach here, but the hotel offer me a single queen size bed due to the room are fully booked by other customer. For my opinion if cant provide certain services to customer the hotel should inform customer earlier because it would cause lot’s of inconvenience. Furthermore sonetimes the lock of the door cannot be opened with the card given due to mis-function.

An amazing stay. While only a 3.5 star hotel it is a great place. Some facilities a little dated but overall a fantastic hotel which is well kept and tidy. A big plus is the friendly and helpful staff. From the managers to all the staff you could see the effort they put into to ensuring that high quality customer service is their priority. Brilliant and extensive breakfast buffet, and the service at the pool-side bar was top class. A well kept and maintained swimming pool. An amazing view of the Langkawi coast and sea from the hotel.

When you need to feel special this is the place

The hotel itself is being updated and the reconditioned rooms are excellent. We had a lovely big room with a fine view and balcony for a quite reasonable rate, the breakfast was included and exceptional. The best part of our three week stay was the staff. From the general manager on down the staff was the best we've encountered in our travels. After three weeks we feel like we have made a lot of new friends and we look forward to following their careers from here on. We are going to miss the guys and gals that made our stay so enjoyable. Thank you all.

We stayed a night as stopover. We reserved and re-confirmed a family room, but the hotel passed it to other guest without our permission. They did admit and apologize after we waited for 1 hour before check-in. There are lots of Chinese and Indian tour guests and each complained about something at the reception. Guests told no umbrella, no extra bed, not clean, etc. I wondered how this hotel managed so many claims. We were provided an old spacious room (looked going to be renovated) in the end. My wife, my kid, and my baby (of course, myself!) were so exhausted. In addition, the chicken wings and the fried rice we ordered in the room were terrible. We all died on that day, but the breakfast on the next morning was surprisingly ok. Croissants were delicious. Just be careful when you stay at this hotel - your room might be gone away.

our stay from the check in with the security key cards not working to the check out was horrible. We have been shown several room types in which some have not been renovated or refurbished for at least 5 years. The mattress in one tiny seaview room was out of discussion.
The hotel needs to close down and renovate the entire premises. It is a delapidated place and I wonder how they dare to sell it to the public. We will never stay there again.......

After reading many negative reviews about this site I wasn't sure what to expect. The hotel has far more positives than negatives. Beautiful building, great staff, lovely grounds, great views and perfect location.The pool and poolside bar are a great area to relax and unwind. Sure there are always things that can be better but this hotel does not pretend to be 5 star and is excellent value for money.

This hotel is in dire need of repair and cleaning. For the duration of our stay only one of four lifts was working, the surfaces in the room were dirty and sticky,restaurant crockery and cutlery were presented dirty and floors throughout wereunclean. Wifi is not available in bedrooms only In restaurant,lobby and bar. There is a good pool and the views out roses andtheislands are spectacular. This is definitely a hotel with potential but is in desperate need of investment.

The hotel is ok, very aged and has missed some well needed care and refurbishment. The rooms are spacious but again many signs of wear and tear. Some investment is well needed and this property could be wonderful...

After the first few days the hotel would have gained a 1-2 star rating from me... Breakfast area was dirty.. Room service plates left outside our room for many days etc

Things did turn around, I believe management turned up at the hotel during our stay and suddenly things were kept much tidier.. Room service plates tidied away, breakfast much cleaner etc..

At a good price the hotel is still worth a visit and if you acquire transportation is a good base to visit the island from. Breakfast option is ok with decent choice and staff are quite friendly and helpful.

1) Super lazy bellboy - when we reached, it was raining whereby our rented car was parked next to the lobby. We look at the bellboy hoping that he could get an umbrella for us. However he stood there talking to his colleague

2) Super rude receptionist - she acted as though the guest is well aware of the layout of the building. She has just directed us to turn left. When we walked as instructed, we went into a waiting room. Came out and asked her again. She said we needed to cross the road. So we went up and noticed that our room number is 430. There was no 4th floor. We came down again and asked her. She laughed and told us that there is no 4th floor and 430 is at 1st floor.

3) Room - the floor was oily and toilet was awful and dirty.

Worst local hotel ever stayed!!

Above average budget hotel

My friend and I stayed there for 3 nights over Christmas. Overall speaking, the hotel was ok. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. What we found unusual was we were only given one room key! which was a tad inconvenient! We arrived in the evening of Christmas eve. Tired and hungry after the flight, we tried to eat at the hotel restaurant but were too late - just 15-20 minutes before the buffet dinner finished. We then requested room service but were told it was not available for the night. Their explanation: the kitchen was too busy (as they were serving a special buffet dinner)! In the end we had to talk to the front desk and waited 45 minutes before we could have our food delivered to our room. Other than that, we are happy with our stay there. Breakfast was decent although the variety of food was not big. We also joined 2 tours via the hotel which were great. No complaints there,

Seaview requested but not granted!

1.No bathtub upon request.
2.No Fitness & Spa facilities although website reflected. Hotel staff promised a manager to speak with me but nobody came to explain!
3.Hotel phone service was rude and not prompt in answering.
4.Housekeeping service was not prompt and delayed in delivering items requested.
5.No WIFI available even when in swimming pool and hotel lobby area.
6.Breakfast food array was not fantastic.
7.Only 1 lift servicing. The other on maintenance!
8.Check in was only allowed after 3pm! No alternative was extended to guests who came early.
8.Provided only 1 toiletries each for a room. Extra toiletries requested are chargeable!
9.Breakfast time allowed at 7am but website written as 6.30am. This is crucial for guests who has to leave for an early flight.
10.We both has food poisoning after breakfast consumption on 25 Dec.

Overall experience was unsatisfactory!

Worst hotel ever

Room is not maintened well, not clean, and they dont clean it everyday I had stayed there for 5 days and they only organize the room, towels are not clean, room service finish there duty at 10 pm, no wifi in the room onky in the loby, breakfast is discusting, hotel is too far from pantay cenang beach almost 30 mins by car, not worth the money or the visit
