The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the room was clean. But other guests made such a racket all afternoon and evening hours, not stopping until midnight. It was impossible to sleep. It sounded like they were renovating the room above us. Can’t say I’ll come here again.

We checked in to a nice room. We found a leaflet that warned us to always use the safe, not answer the door, lock our suitcases etc etc. Ironically the safe didn't work and they couldn't fix it. So they moved us to a different room which was a lot smaller. Staff were nice enough but no adjustment/compensation offered.

We are so happy with our choice. Every aspect of our stay was pitch perfect. We asked a ton of questions, and were given thoughtful & accurate answers. Breakfast service was always fresh & the staff were champions in my opinion.
We will definitely visit again in future trips to Portugal.

This was a last minute booking, it is not close to the city but it is one train ride away! The rooms were clean, the fridges were stocked if you wanted to buy something at ease! The front seat manager was very accommodating for our last minute request! There is a great sized pool for the hotter days which was nice and a restaurant with great food options!

The property was nice and there was excellent service provided by Carlos, Olena, and Antonio. The property is kept well and there is this aroma that when you enter the lobby is absolutely warm and inviting. I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is located in the industrial area of Lisbon. It was adequately clean. The staff we found were not very friendly and said they were too busy to give assistance when needing help checking in for our flight. When pressured they finally gave us some help.
Breakfast buffet had a good assortment and the breakfast lady manager worked very hard while her 2 assistants were slow and un-engaging. She certainly needed more help.
The dinner staff was extremely slow. It took a long time for them to acknowledge you were there even present though the restaurant area was practically empty. It then took them over a half hour to fix an omlette with fries.

The air conditioning wasn't working in either room on the same floor, so we had to traipse down to reception with all our luggage before they re-allocated us to two new rooms on a different floor.
Switches in all four rooms we had the pleasure of visiting worked intermittently and in fact one of them was hanging off unsafely.
The phone in the bathroom is a rather unique feature.
To add to this rather dated and tired hotel located at what appears to be the edge of an industrial estate, we had to pay twice for our rooms.
These rooms were booked in clerical error, as we needed them 3 weeks previously when we were actually in Lisbon. We booked them the night before and not 24 hours later arrived at the hotel to realise we had somehow unwittingly booked the wrong date!! We had booked non-refundable rooms as we needed them for the next day. The hotel were uncompromising and uncompassionate to the point of being insolent - there would be no refund - we would have to pay again. There was no management available - only junior members of staff. Expedia were no help in this matter.

The staff is what makes this place good. The facility is really old and badly needs a facelift that is well overdue!! The rooms were nice 20 years ago but today, it simply bad. The walls are paper thin that you hear every flush of every toilet around, the closing of doors and the faintest of conversations. The pillows provided are simply awful and the Internet WiFi is atrocious. The staff is simply great all around, hospitable and accommodating and very friendly but there is a lot to be desired in the hotel otherwise.

Interesting place in that it’s in the heart of an industrial area. It’s not exactly a tourist area, possibly more of a business clientele, so you have to be good at what you do in order to survive. The staff at the VIP Santa Iria excel in providing quality service.

This place was the best bang for our buck about 15 minutes by car to Lisbon center. We booked it same day for the day before Halloween. It wasn’t the best value for your money, if you shop ahead of time. Since we were last minute booking it worked for us. They took us at about 12 o’clock when is check in was at 2 for no additional fee however, the room did not have A/C. If we wanted to wait until check in time at 2 we would have had A/C but because we wanted to get to the room asap there was no A/C. The staff spoke English very well and were extremely accommodating in helping us get a COVID test (again, last minute) so that we could get on the airplane to come back to US. Being in a pandemic the staff and facility was really clean and everyone wore masks.

AC on heat only mode in May. No cold air. Too hot.

Hotel advertises air conditioning but central control unit in heat mode only. Room temperature could only be changed in degrees of heat. Our room temp was preset to 30 degrees C when we entered. When we asked for cool air we were told at reception that management had decided to keep system on heat only at that time as it was deemed too early for cooling. Reception changed us to a room that had fully opening window rather than vent size only but we had an extremely uncomfortable stay and bad nights sleep prior to flight. Room condition was poor given price and advertised standard of hotel. Rooms in need of refurbishment and furniture replacement.
Bed mattress was way overdue for renewal. Bathroom tiles cracked and overall grubby. Unfortunately availability of parking and proximity to airport brought us back to this hotel for a second time. It will be our last. After 90 days in Portugal and Spain this hotel was one of the most disappointing overall. The plus side to our stay were the staff particularly Bruno on reception and housekeeping.

We had a very pleasant stay in this hotel. The check in was very fast and we quickly get to our room. The room was at a very good temperature, clean and the bathroom shiny with the normal amenities. We had a very good night sleep, quiet and the bed was comfy. The curtains overlap so the light does not enter all in the morning which is a very plus to me.

We stayed at VIP due to its proximity to friends in the area. It is a comfortable place. I wouldn't recommend it for tourists, as it is out from the Lisbon attractions. Its main focus is business clients. It is a nice hotel, though, and the staff is friendly.
I was not crazy about the shower door - it was difficult to get in and out. And the bathtub was slippery.

Not convenient to Camino

This hotel is primarily for business visitors, not tourists. It is not convenient to the Camino de Santiago or anything else of interest. Front desk said there were 1 or 2 decent restaurants about a 15 min walk uphill. We did find a great tapas place, totally unexpected, in a non descript location amongst nothing else of interest, where the front desk had said we might find something.

A lovely hotel

Now this is a brilliant hotel all ways possible.

Parking is onsite free and so much availability.

Staff are really really nice. The room size is great, nice and spacious.

However you are quite far flung form everywhere. The nearest shop is 20mins walk uphill. By car 5mins.

This is like a industrial area you are based in. Very close to airport though barely anything to do.

Bathroom countertop was dirty ( full of toothpastes) and there was a bug in the bathroom.
We did ask if there was someone at the reception at 5AM to call for a cab and no one was answering the phone when we called at 5.
The food was ok but too pricey.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in the industrial part of Lisbon but the small town of Sacavem is just round the corner with it’s castle, bars and supermarket. We drove to the local shopping centre and took the bus into Lisbon. There is a train station just a few yards from the hotel but never figured out how to use the ticket machine. We did feel like VIPs staying in this hotel.

Good place to stay in expensive Merida.

Small hotel, no frills, fair price. Five blocks from Roman Theater and Anfitheater. Good tapas bars and cafeterias around. Parking on the street is a hit or miss, mostly a miss but you eventually will find a spot.

Portugal is lovely. From this hotel a car is crucial. Road network is excellent. Hotel was pretty good, breakfast was limited and beer was 5 Euro a pint.

It is a lovely hotel very comfortable and great customer service, great staff at the restaurant very polite and helpful! Breakfast buffet is also great!
The only down side aspect is that the hotel it is quite far from the main centre and if you do not drive it is tiring catching the bus and waiting ages for it!
But overall hotel is good!!!

Great place to stay on business, or if you want to be near the Lisbon airport. We stayed there because we had a very early flight the next morning. The hotel is nice, but it is in an industrial area, and for sure you don't want to stay here if you are going to explore Lisbon.

A nice hotel a lille out of the way

We booked Santa Iria before our return flight. When booking we thought it was fairly close to the airport. When we took our taxi to the hotel we realized it was the opposite direction from the downtown. It is in more of an industrial area. On the upside we took a walk and saw how the people outside the tourist area lived, which was nice. The staff were nice and the rooms were clean.

Great hotel, close to Lisbon's Int'l Airport, only complaint is the address on Hotels.com website is incorrect, the correct address is Estrada Nacional 10, #1260; 2694-001 Santa Iria da Azoia.
This caused me to drive around for more than an hour, lost, and the GPS unit couldn't even locate the (incorrect) address, and when I tried to call the hotel, the number was "unavailable".
Besides that, I would recommend this hotel.

This hotel is an excellent value for the money. The only negative was the area it was in - definitely saw a few questionable people walking around the neighborhood. But, I felt very safe on the actual hotel grounds. The service and staff are superb, and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Good hotel for a short stay. Similar to ibis chain but bigger rooms. Neighbourhood looked a bit like the ghettos or around factories area. Free parking is a bonus, however, we were put in smoker room and non of us are smokers. It was a disgusting third hand smoking smell everywhere on furniture etc. this is despite us requesting non smokers room. You can hear next rooms a bit so I would not give it much of privacy. Good showers and bathroom though.

The hotel failed to meet all of our expectations the bed was extremely firm and uncomfortable. Restless nights begin to have a toll on us which impacted on us the following days it was horrible because there was no option of a different bed or upgrade to a better room. We had a four night stay for a birthday city break and had the breakfast buffet twice the food was ok but not great however, there was a wide variety to choose from which was good.
The location was not too bad providing you have a hired car to get out and about. Without a car public transport is not that great.
The hotel looks lovely and welcoming and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel does not provide guest with information with places of interest but the staff we're able to give advice of places they thought was nice and we followed this advice and we saw some truly amazing historical places and places of worship.
What would have made it better for us, if the beds and pilows were more comfortable, modern TV in the room, room 126 sofa needs throwing away it brings down the representation of the hotel and we was shocked to see it there in it's terrible condition.
Overall we had to score it a 2 mainly because of the beds. A good night sleep is important and if the hotel does not recognise that then it's a real shame. Had we slept well we would have had more energy to see more of this fantastic city.

This hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Cost you a cab ride to get anywhere. The only real luxury about this hotel, was a decent pool in the back. More like a 3 star hotel, not a four star.

Hotel located on the outskirts of Lisbon accessible by train then metro. Seven minute walk to train station was pretty sketchy although probably safe, hard to tell from all the graffiti, in an industrial part of town. Hotel rooms were showing their age; window didn't seal, laminate flooring needs replacing, pillows lumpy. Room was clean, pool was nice, breakfast was good. For the price ok.

The hotel is out of the way if you don't have a car. There's nothing really around. You have to take the subway into town for restaurants or you can eat at the hotel. It was limitless for a vegetarian. They charged extra $20 euros for check in early. That I had to negotiate down from $30 euros that they wanted originally.
