The room was okay. The room is more suited for families with kids. It clearly had not been updated in many years. The food made me sick. I could not eat my dinner. That being said and I had asked them to take the dinner off my bill. They did not and I got to pay for my dinner that they clearly knew made me sick. It was pretty awful. My mom’s food and my cousin’s food was okay. Not great by any means. So we only stayed there one night and that was too long. I was charged for the one night and my mom got charged for the same night. They did not have any of the services that my Mom thought they had, like a shuttle going to various locations in Budapest. We were out in the middle of nowhere and had to take a $60 cab ride from the train station. We left and stayed at a lovely hotel for nine days in Budapest. I was sad that it was such an awful experience. I really didn’t want to have to switch hotels. I never complain, but this was too much. Sorry.

Nice log cabins close to Budapest

Really cute place, nice sauna in the bathroom, lovely location. Nice log cabins. Kitchens very basic but do the job. Restaurant on site also quite basic and closed early. Would go again though.

Staff were really helpful & accomodating. Personal Sauna in chalet 604 was good. Outdoor pool was sufficient & can do with some refurb. We wish there was a telephone outlet from the chalet to the reception so it would be more convenient. Breakfast was amazing, there was a good variety.

It is an excellent chalet with a sauna, a fantastic view, and nature. There is also a pool for swimming and time with kids and a restaurant for a tasty dinner. Easy check-in and check-out, welcoming, and nice personal.

Short warming holiday in the winter

A warm welcoming, very nicely located place with delicious breakfast. I will have to come back in the summer time. The apartment had all the facilities you need and sauna. Very nice. The breakfast is really touching as beside the standard continental stuff there is something different, a local thing every morning. Very nice. We enjoyed the place very much, although the indoor pool is small, but for what it is, not bad at all. Recommended.

Since it’s located a bit far from the city center, the area was very quiet and surrounded by nature, which was great for families with children.
We arrived early, but the staff at the front desk was very kind and let us check in before the official time, which was very helpful.

The room was very quiet, perhaps because it was separated from the neighboring chalet, and the wooden interior created a warm and relaxing atmosphere.
Although we didn’t use the sauna, the room came with one. However, there were no English instructions, so having English signage would make it easier to use.

The room was warm, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was included, with a good variety of options.
It was very comfortable even for families with small children.

One downside was that the bathroom would get flooded when taking a shower, so it would be nice if rubber slippers or something similar were provided.

Perhaps because it was the off-season, the value for money was excellent.
Highly recommended!

Absolutely beautiful cabin had everything we could need. Plus fast Wi-Fi, equipped kitchen, very good breakfast, and amazing sauna. Getting downtown by bus is pretty easy, if you can walk 10-15 minutes.
Can't wait to come back.

It is a very beautiful area, but it is true that it could be maintained a little better. The cleanliness was perfectly ensured, but a small detail could still be found - a cobweb near the ceiling, which the wife took very hard :-D

Having our own private chalet was awesome. Parking was adequate if you had a normal sized vehicle. We had a large van and had a harder time parking. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the sauna. It would have been nice to have a smart tv so that we could have watched tv in English, but we made do. The staff was excellent and the kids enjoyed all the pool facilities. The room was well equipped but was lacking some of what you might expect in terms of pots, a cutting board, a wash cloth, drying towels and enough dishes and silver wear for the number of guests staying in the room but provided extra on request. We would stay there again.

House very clean, and well maintained, daily service very nice and professional.

The downsides are the lack of air conditioning in the 4-bed cottages.

Breakfast modest, usually everything cold even though it is in the heaters which are switched off.

Restaurant staff very sad, served sometimes as if it was a punishment.

Often resetting cottage cards, during a visit to my cottage another couple were checked in who got cards and entered the cottage.

Waiting for dinner when there is a group about 45 minutes.

The swimming pool inside quite worn,

Good but.....

While the resort was generally good but it is not recommended for tourists coming from overseas and don’t have a car. It is far away from the city centre where all the action take place and you have spend lot of money for commute. Cabins had no AC which makes it hard when the temperature is 30-37 degrees. On the positive side, we enjoyed the indoor and outdoor swimming pools especially if you have kids.

Stayed there 3 nights. Nice, relaxing place with beautiful surrounding. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Apart from the balcony, our room was clean and tidy. Unfortunately outside swimming pool was closed and we didn't know why but weren't allowed to use it. However, the indoor swimming pool was opened and it was OK.
I expected better Hungarian food. Breakfast could be better. Menu is badly designed, not much to offer and illegible. WiFi works only in restaurant, no range in rooms.
Overall, it's a nice place for a quiet holiday and the price is affordable. I would come back again, why not.

Great time in a beautiful setting!

We had a wonderful time during a recent three-night stay here. The staff were friendly and always receptive to our requests. The rooms are as advertised: interesting and comfortable given the decor. The facilities were nice (I even got to use the indoor tennis court). I do agree with others that you should consider having your own transportation before staying here if you want to daily venture into town. The restaurant was comfortable and good enough when we need to dine there. And I thought breakfast was more than adequate with a diverse offering of the general European breakfast fare. Enjoyed it thoroughly!

Going downhill

We stayed in a cottage for a couple of days with 2 kids. The house was extremely nice and cozy - just the right setup and atmosphere. Enjoyed it very much. The area is very peaceful; swimming pool is also quite good - kids enjoyed it a lot. Restaurant was the weakest point of the stay - the food was at best average for Hungarian standards, and the service basically didn't exist. We had 4 meals there - were never offered a seat or a drink; even when we asked for beer, it didn't come. Overall feeling was that the place has its peak in the past and is now slowly going downhill.

Overall good stay but far from the city

Nice hotel, comfortable rooms but you must have a car to get around. It is about 45 minutes from the airport in a beautiful area but there is really nothing around. The cottages were clean and comfortable, the breakfast was just mediocre.

Stayed one night and forfeited the money for the other three nights. Could of handled the heat without air conditioning but could not handle the kids freaking out over the bugs that came out at night through the crevices. Too bad I had already paid for four nights. No refund was offered. :(

beautiful location makes up for mediocre else

The are the hotel is situated at is beautiful, albeit remote, so recommended only for those who have a car.

Some of the things in our room did not work, such as the room safe, and the taps were leaking. The room was clean to begin with, but the daily maintenance only comprised of giving us new soap, and even when we explicitly asked our room to be cleaned, and got a positive answer, it still wasn't done. The staff was friendly, but only helpful on a can't be bothered level. The restaurant was never open in the evenings even at times when it was supposed to be open, so we were always referred to elsewhere to eat exhausted after long days of walk.

Breakfast choice was poor, and although the hotel is advertised to have free wifi, it is actually only free in the lobby, and available for extra charge in the room

However in my opinion the quite and nature close location of the hotel makes up for all of the above.

The country-side of Budapest

Petnehazy is in a beautiful setting. It has private cabins in a quiet, quasi-suburban area. It it located on some acreage that oversees hills/trees/countryside. Each cabin has it's own sauna and deck area. The staff were mostly fluent in English. They were helpful but I do believe there was some language barriers. Be persistent and they will hang in there with you so you get all the information you need. The food was delicious. If you are looking for a relaxing, private week, this would be a great place. On the other hand, it is a 20 minute walk to catch public transportation and then a bus and tram were needed to get near the city, minimum 50 minutes to the heart of Buda-Pest. Taxi was about $40.00 one way. The transportation system is relatively easy to learn if you have used large city transportation

What a fantastic venue

I booked this venue for a getaway and was not disappointed. From the moment I contacted the hotel about the airport shuttle bus nothing was too much trouble.
They sent me full details of the venue and this helped us to plan what we needed to take and how far the shops were away.
I would recommend anybody to book this venue and go for one of the log cottages they are lovely and ours had a sauna.
We are thinking of going back in the summer it was that good.

Gorgeous hotel

By far, one of the best places I've stayed. We arrived late and the hotel staff checked us in with complete friendliness. Each staffer we talked to spoke English. There were a lot of American travelers as well, as this is a time share exchange hotel. Breakfast was great, hotel was clean. It is quite away from the city, but we were in a car, so didn't deal with public transportation.

Nice hotel with fab apartments. Good facilities but a bit of a poor restaurant although we didn't eat there in the evenings as it was empty (self catering). We were travelling without a car so were limited to bus travel. The nearest bus stop is about a fifteen minute walk away down a hill. There has been mention of a shop near to the bus stop but forget it, it was run down and had nearly no stock. The five minute bus ride to the bus/tram station was worth a trip with a supermarket next to it. There is a bus about every twenty minutes to half hour. Overall a nice place to relax and perhaps have a good walk and relax by the pool.

Clean airy and beautiful!

Stayed for a week with family and loved it! Well maintained place in stunning surroundings, much better than pictures and was airy despite the hot hot hot temperatures there! Lovely staples next door, good walks in the area, little supermarked downhill towards main Road, approx 800 meters. Only take HUF in most places so don't bother bringing Euros (like we mistakenly did;-) .. accommodation is very good indeed, nothing missing and very very clean. Lovely staff, nice restaurant. Menu could do with being added to, but what they do have is very good. Great red wine. And cocktails at the bar. Shuttle into town runs to time, so don't be late. Men running this are extremely nice and work very hard. Budapest itself is a DREAM, such a stunning city. Loved it, and loved our stay altogether. All in family had fun including kids aged 5, 9 and 12. Go there, its great!

Too far away from city

3mini bus departures in the morning and the same number returning in the evening did not allow us to enjoy Budapest to the full. This was especially true as the transport had to be pre-booked allowing no chance for spontaneity. We had poor weather but still would have liked the opportunity to eat in the city and enjoy an evening cruise on the Danube. The hotel restaurant was adequate and reasonably priced. Given a longer time we would have enjoyed the trips away(eg to Vienna) organised by the hotel and walking in the countryside. Public transport back to the hotel involved the metro the a tram then a bus then a 500 km walk uphill. This hotel is much more suited to a longer break and offers good leisure facilities for that.

Beautful Area...Wonderful view....Great Pool....

I am not a first time tourist to Budapest......if I were this would not be the hotel of choice.
However, I wanted to be close to center city, yet in the forest of the 2nd distric in Buda with a pool and a quite room...... this was great and it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was typical Eastern Europe and not very good. The rate for 2 with breakfast can't be beat. I wanted a couple of quite days in the sun and pool .....this choice was perfect.

L endroit est paradisiaque et les chalets sont confortables le petit déjeuner est correct , on a eu un soucis avec la télécommande qui n était pas disponible dans la chambre et après réclamation chez plusieurs personnes on a pu l avoir jusqu’au troisième jour , veille de notre départ . L hygiène aussi est à revoir , quelques cheveux dans l appartement , les draps et les serviettes étaient terni .

We had an extremely negative experience with this hotel. We arrived in Budapest around 2 a.m. and went straight to the hotel, which is far from the city center. Upon arrival, the receptionist said there was no reservation under my name, Rafael, even though it was active in the Hoteis.com app and we had the voucher. He claimed the reservation was canceled, that the hotel was full, and that nothing could be done, refusing any alternatives or help.

We were with our entire family, including my 8-year-old son and my 60-year-old mother-in-law, and were left alone in an unfamiliar city, in the middle of the night, in very cold weather, with all our luggage, without any support from the hotel or Hoteis.com. To secure a stay at another hotel, we faced many troubles and extra costs, totaling around 200 euros, including taxi, meals, and the difference in accommodation, and had to handle everything ourselves.

Later, it became clear there was a miscommunication between the hotel and Hoteis.com. The hotel mistakenly interpreted a cancellation inquiry as an actual cancellation, while the reservation was never canceled and remained active in the app. Even after this error, the hotel’s response was terrible, showing no empathy, providing no solutions, and offering no support. I strongly recommend extreme caution before choosing this hotel, so no one else has to face the distressing situation we experienced.

We stayed at Petnehazy Aparthotel for about a week (2 adults and 1 child) in a Superior Apartment and were generally satisfied with our experience. The apartment isn’t particularly modern, but that didn’t bother us—it actually added to the property's charm.
The main downside, however, was the loud bass noise coming from a nearby event venue. On at least three nights during our stay (including weekdays), the music was quite disruptive and continued into the early morning hours. This is important to know, especially if you’re looking for a quiet, remote location—as we were. It was a significant drawback for us.
That said, the pool was a clear highlight and a great source of fun for our child.

Die Straße könnte verbessert werden und die Bodenwellen zur Geschwindigkeitsreduzierung sollten markiert sein!
Küchenzeile Super, alles da was man braucht, der Gesamteindruck ist sehr gut und wir könnten uns dort auch länger vorstellen zu bleiben, wie nur eine Nacht als Zwischenstopp.

Dejligt sted

Alt i alt har vi haft en skøn tur. Det var dejligt nemt at tage bus/tog ind til byen og der var kun en kilometer fra hytten til bus 63.

Vi handlede selv ind til morgenmad og spiste ellers ude. Der lå en skøn restaurant lidt derfra der hedder Náncsi Néni som var virkelig god. Der spiste vi to af dagene.

Rengøringen så vi desværre ikke til. Vi havde de samme håndklæder fra vi kom til vi tog hjem. Dog gik vi selv over og byttede et af dem. Men det undrede os der ikke var rengøring af huset bare en enkelt gang. Da vi spurgte stedet, sagde han man selv skal bede om det. Men på deres egen side, står der, der bliver gjort rent hver dag.
Det var lidt surt, da rengøringen allerede var haltende, da vi kom. Der lå hår på puderne og under sengene.

Både fredag og lørdag var der højt musik fra en gård lige ved siden af. Det sluttede først kl 3 om natten. Men det er jo ikke stedets skyld.

Skøn pool.

Vi kommer helt sikkert tilbage.
