Stayed here for the first time and loved it. Super clean and the lady on reception was amazing and helpful. The cleaning crew saw me coming out my room and asked if everything was ok with the room, you can really tell they take pride in their work and work to a high standard. I booked a one bedroom apartment. Room was super spacious with lots of storage space and a big balcony. Close to everything you need in Townsville. I stay in Townsville a lot and usually hotel hop but I think I’ve found my new regular. I have already booked to stay again.

We got locked out of our room at around 5pm, my phone, car keys, wallet, shoes and everything were locked in there. We tried calling the after hours number on the front desk but couldn’t get through. Lucky we had friend staying at the same place to be able to use their phone. We tried calling for over 3 hours with no luck. We tried locksmiths who all couldn’t help. If we didn’t have friends there we also wouldn’t have even had a phone to call. There needs to be alternative numbers and also a phone at reception for after hours. We finally got back into our room after almost 4 hours. I feel really upset with this, all we got as an apology was 4 out of date packets of chips 😰
On another note, our room wasn’t very clean and there was lint all over the walls from the dryer. The smell from the bin shoot was horrible and the car spaces were so small it was hard to get our luggage in and out. There was hair all through the bathroom that didn’t belong to us.

Condition of the room was not great considering that its a fairly new hotel. Its been heavily used and abused. The room has carpet stains, scuff marks and some wall damage (damage has been repaired but is noticeable) Room also had a cigarette smoke odour i'd say from someone smoking on balcony with door open. On the first night a couple on floor above me were having a full on domestic until 2.30am in morning.

There was a thick stale smell and black bubble gum on the tiles. It appeared as though there was no mopping or vaccuming undertaken for some time. The room is large, spacious, all that you need for living away from home. Few things wrong with room. Light blulb blown, air con dripping, all fixed immediately. Small hole in wall. 1 remote for 3 air cons. Fan in 1 room not working. Beside these little things which didnt alter our stay. We love staying here. Convenient to shops, and just love the size of the room. Will be back.

Arrived just before 2 o'clock to check in and was told our room wasn't ready yet but wouldn't be too long. Finally got in our room at 3.40. Wrecked our plans for the afternoon. Not happy! Only redeeming factor about the place was the nice young lady in reception. I felt very much like venting my frustration at the long wait for our room , but realised it wasn't her fault. Also can't see the point of having a balcony if there is no furniture on it. Are we expected to sit on the floor? I've never written a bad review before, but feel the need to this time!
