The swimming pool area was not in use and lacked the expected amenities and cleanliness standards. We just ask from one of receptionist to give manager contact number but she refused to give me.

In addition, the breakfast room was also disappointing. The area was overcrowded, not kept clean, and the food options and service quality did not meet expectations. This created an unpleasant experience for guests.

Room was filthy, black mold on the bathroom and a very stale smell in the room. Walls are paper-thin and you can hear absolutely every footstep and word in and outside of the building.

The EV charger didn't work, and the breakfast area is so small it might as well not exist. Everything about this place feels like and old, unmaintained dump and I regret staying here.

I hope you avoid it, and don't have the same regrets I do.

Property, amenities and rooms were comparable to a $100 per night hotel, at a charge of $200 per night. It was what I would expect when I book for myself on a long, multi-day bike trip when I need a dry sleep, and a shower.

Pro: friendly staff, clean bed, shower pressure is good, charging for EV, free parking, very convenient location, lots of restaurants, and Chinook Mall near by.
Con: carpet is outdated, room is small, bathroom even smaller, breakfast is very basic, no meat.
Great value for the price point.

You get what you pay for. NO ELEVATOR! Breakfast was self made walffles, cereal, yogurt, toast and bagels. Very small breakfast room. Pool is outdoors so didn’t get to enjoy. Close to Denny’s and right beside the keg. Close to restaurants and the mall. Will likely not stay here again but decent considering what we paid. Towels were unsanitary. Staff were friendly

The hotel is ok. Close to Chinook center and easy access to the main roads or train to get to the Grey Eagle or the saddledome for shows. I also like the free breakfast.

We stayed to rest during our volleyball tournament, my team had few noise complaints 11pm, the noise around our rooms went on til 2-3am. Our coach and manager were the ones who talked to the night auditor. We hoped that any noise complaints will be dealt seriously in the future. If they cant be controlled, security could have been called or cops could have been involved. Our players had to place a table on their doors as they were scared about the commotions. We're happy we were accommodated to move rooms and the rest of the team was able to properly rest.

Carpets were dirty. The floor was loud to walk on in the room. Internet didn’t work. The breakfast was not fresh and very little offered. For the amount that was charged I could’ve stayed in a much nicer hotel downtown and had a decent breakfast

Air conditioner was broken and sealed on a very hot day. Sheets n such weren't cleaned or if they had was poorly done as stains were visible. Lowkey slept more on the couch. Shower drain was clogged. If I had to give an overall rating I would rather just pay extra staying elsewhere

We booked this hotel for 2 nights. When we got to the property, we liked the location. The front staff lady was very kind and helpful. However the room we were given was very dirty. Mold in the bathroom hair all over the bed and floors. Dried blood on the curtains. Surfaces still had filth on them, couldnt take your shoes off as the floors were dirty. We asked for a refund, they would only honor 1 night refund because we stripped the bed to see if there was more in the sheets, which there was. The reason given to us, because we unmade the bed, and the cleaners werent on side, they couldnt rent the room now for the night, even though it was in no condition to rent to anyone.
The front staff told us the owner/manager was aware of the state of the room, and still allowed us to stay in it. I was horrified that they new the condition of the room, but refused to give us a full refund. So we had to walk away and they got 1 night payment out of it. I have learnt my lesson, do not believe the photos you see when booking a room. I do not recommend this property.

Room was adequate. Not all plugins worked. Coffee supplies were hidden in an unmarked cabinet. No working plug close to the Keurig machine. Lots of hot water but poor water pressure. Ad implies hot tub, but not one on site. Outdoor pool was closed for winter. Breakfast was lacking. Bagels, yogurt, cereal. Nothing hot. Coffee was yuck, and hot water for tea was lukewarm. Rarely anyone at the front desk.

AC unit was disabled because it was "winter" in early April. The bed and sheets were fine and comfortable. However, the bathtub was awful - the drain didnt work and it was rusty; there was hair on the shower wall, and the sink also didnt drain properly.
There doesn't appear to be any real pride of ownership.

Check in was terrible. Having prepaid for the room, then being told you MUST have a credit card ONLY to pay a $100 deposit. VISA debit is NO GOOD. CREDIT CARD ONLY. For travellers that don’t have one would be screwed. WILL NOT GO BACK TO THIS HOTEL

The room was relatively clean but shows the property is really old. We can see that molds on the bathroom hasn't been adequately removed with black stains on the edges. The hallways were dirty when we checked in at 7 pm.

There was only one staff in the front desk responding to all types of issues - check-in, housekeeping, room complaints etc so was not able to answer calls from the rooms. You have to go to the front desk to let them know what you needed.

The AC was turned off in all the rooms because it was winter time. We checked-in when it was almost +10 in Calgary but we can't turned on the AC.

We didn't feel safe about parking as well as there people roaming around the parking area and we don't know if someone was checking security.

Was disappointed that the online photos didn't seem to match what we actually saw in person. Also the rates when we were booking the rooms was 50% higher ($113) to the rate two days before we checked-in ($64). We thought that it was a rip-off!

This hotel over sells and under delivered even at its low price. The shower didn’t work, the bath tub was rather gross, if you would like something from a vending machine you need coins, which seems rather old fashioned, the continental breakfast is as exciting as a loaf of wonderbread with jam. There is a waffle maker, but nothing to put on waffles, coffee is a dark color, so that’s better than water I suppose.

If your room is too warm you’re not allowed to use the beautiful window air conditioner in winter. There is a paper note asking you to comply. Friends were in another room and theTV don’t work.

Rooms were cleaned best they could be but overall condition of the hotel was tired and worn. Was also done in a motel style and having a door directly to the outside of the building/ parking lot wasn’t the best when wanting to feel safe for kids. The a/c wasn’t useable due to the time of year so when it got so hot in the room we had to risk opening the window that for us opened directly to the ground floor parking lot and foot traffic. The tub faucet was dripping the entire time and although we had requested a roll away bed in advance we were only told it wasn’t available after I asked about it a checkin because housekeeping was already gone for the day. (We checked in only 30minutes after checkin was possible). We also were only provided with two towels though our booking was confirmed for 4 people and one of the towels had a hole in it.
The main desk person was polite and the continental breakfast was fine and kept stocked. Checkin and out process was smooth enough.
Overall I guess you get what you pay for

The room was spacious and clean. It is close to a lot of amenities and within walking distance to Chinook mall. The bed was comfortable enough and there is a nice sitting area. The pillows are really big which makes it difficult to sleep. The breakfast is okay. We did not use the pool or hot tub. The soaps that they provide are tiny and difficult to use. I would stay again though.

I stayed at this hotel for three nights. While the rate was very affordable and I wasn’t expecting anything luxurious, I did expect basic cleanliness and comfort standards to be met.

Unfortunately, the toilet was extremely dirty — the inside rim clearly had not been cleaned for quite some time. We also found a used condom wrapper in the room, which was very concerning.

On the last night of our stay, there were children running and yelling in the hallways for over an hour, which made it very difficult to relax or sleep.

I reported the cleanliness issue to the front desk during my stay and provided my name and phone number. I also submitted a complaint through their online chat. They confirmed online that they had received my complaint and advised that the resolution offered would be 10% off a future stay. I did not receive any follow-up call.

Cleanliness and a reasonable level of quiet are basic expectations, regardless of price point. Based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable staying here again.

The rooms were clean and desk staff were awesome. However, the door and walls offers almost no sound proofing at all. If people walk down the hall, you hear almost every footstep. If they whisper, you hear every word. I'm not sure Travelodge can do anything about that, but it was a pain when trying to sleep through the night and people kept running, talking loudly and sometimes I awoke to what I was certain was someone finding a nightwalker for some "out of town fun."

Old and Run Down. Was propositioned in the corridor after checking-in on my way to my room for a 5-night stay. Did a complete about-face and checked out after only 5 minutes. Knew that it was not going to be a peaceful stay whilst in town for a funeral. Had booked this hotel less than an hour before checking-in for the 5-night stay however, Travelodge Refused to Refund any of funds and I was Charged for the entire 5 nights. Expedia Customer Service also did little to help with the situation because it was booked as a "No Funds Reservation". That would have been understandable if you were a "No Show" or "Left a day or two early" but after only 5 minutes! Terrible, Terrible policy.
