The location is steps away from Playhouse Square. That's the only good thing about this hotel.

The staff are unfriendly and lazy. The entire time, from check-in to check-out, we felt like we were inconveniencing them. Not even a smile or a friendly greeting the entire time we were there.

The lady that worked the breakfast place started removing food 15 minutes before breakfast ended. She didn't want to replace any of the food that was emptied out by a hockey team that came in just before us. Lazy and useless.

The entire hotel stinks of marijuana. Everywhere we went it stunk.

Don't be cheap. Spend the extra $60 and stay at a proper hotel. I will never stay at this hotel again.

The room was nothing like that on the web site. The room just felt dirty, the sink was cracked, huge stain on the carbet, the furniture was dirty had to get extra sheets just to sit down. My honest opinion is anytime you are servicing the public, the furniture needs to be able to be wiped down because of the different types of contamination. I will not be staying here anymore.

Overall, just kind of a dirty hotel. The sheets were stained, the curtains were so stained i refrained from looking out the window. You could literally see people’s hand prints from opening the curtains so much. Lamp shades were extremely dusty. Elevator doors were engraved with all different types of graffiti & writing, just extremely ghetto dirty.

Location is convenient. Parking is secure. Check in was smooth. Although the hotel is older and has some imperfections, it was clean and everything was functional. I didn’t think the breakfast was quite as good as described in other reviews. There was some moisture that developed on our carpet right by the HVAC unit but it didn’t affect our stay. Still, it is a good value and I’d stay here again without hesitation. Hotels like this sometimes get poor reviews from tightly wound people with unrealistic expectations, but if you’re a reasonable person who needs a place to stay for a day or two, you can’t beat it.

The toliet would keep running. The elevator was very old and slow ans sometimes took three or four times for doors to shut. The cleaning staff would keep turning off the heating and cooling and open the closed shades i left for reason. The variety at breakfast was very minimal and not very appealing.

My entire stay was great! It's located near downtown next to Cleveland State University and Playhouse Theater. Also located near by within 5 -10 minutes is downtown Clevelend, the Flats, the Cavaliers basketball arena and Guardians baseball stadiums. Parking is $14 per day and they do have a buffet breakfast avaliable from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.The staff was professional, pleasant, helpful and I would definitely recommended this hotel to anyone.

When checking in staff asked if we were using pull out bed. After saying yes, they handed me a bag containing bedding for it. I had to carry it to room. only have two elevators and one was broken. We were in town for a football game and lots of people coming in so lines were backed up for the one working elevator. It fit about 4 people. Stairwell looked like something from a horror movie. No heaters were on. One floor looked like heater may have caught on fire recently (black marks on the wall above it). Room had trash on the floor when we came in. Light switches in the bedroom did not work, had to turn on main lamp. Living room area very poorly lit with a large lamp and no light switch or overhead light. Shower had what looked to be mold around the drain. Walls/picture in the bathroom had spots that looked like something wet was sprayed all over and left. Water stains on floor by shower. No door on main bedroom. We had someone on the pullout couch in the living room so no privacy. Couch bed had a huge dip/sag in the middle. Some type of cable was ran through air vent in the bedroom, not secured causing grate to fall off. Window had a huge crack from top to bottom. Breakfast was very disappointing, staff was hovering next to us waiting to clean tables. Waffle maker kept breaking and staff was complaining calling them junk in front of guests. Listing said multiple restaurants attached, they were in a shared building, but walled off and separated, no entrances from hotel

This hotel has bed bugs. Both myself and daughter had numerous bites. The rooms are dirty. Coffee maker had dust in the water compartment, freezer had brown stains in the frozen ice. Plaster peeling off the wall. Never changed the bed sheets the 4 days we stayed. Carpets are very stained. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

At checkin, it is customary to point out the wifi code, breakfast hours and breakfast location. None was offered and when I asked, it was \"code is on your key jacket,\" for breakfast hours, she pointed to the sign on the counter (which I hadn't noticed during checkin), and when I asked where, a point in a direction. Room was ok it had a mini fridge and microwave in it for convenience but my problem came with the friends that were in my room (roach) then the sheets were stained carpet was stained. Pricing was decent for the stay I did enjoy the courteous staff despite the housekeeper that was upset because she couldn’t fit her cart on the elevator with us and proceeded to go back and forth with me about it, then start speaking in her native language of Russian. I also appreciated the free breakfast it actually was made fresh and with a smile. The ice machine was down on my floor but every other floor was available for ice so I did not mind the ride up. Overall i give this stay 6/10

When I checked in, the staff member helping me was making jokes while I was trying to ask a few serious questions, which came across as unprofessional and honestly a bit uncomfortable.

When we got to our room, it had a very strong smell of smoke — even the bath towels absorbed it. I reported the issue to the front desk, and while they did offer to move us to another room, we had already unpacked and decided to stay put and spend as little time as possible in the room.

Maybe I just missed this but the daily parking charge I was surprised with upon checking in.

Positive feedback the other staff members were very polite.

Hotel could use some upgrades (doors and furniture were a little weathered/janky) and the lighting in public areas like the breakfast area was generally a bit dark and dreary. I could 100% hear people in the rooms next to mine and across the hall during late-night hours. Overall, it was worth it to be within walking distance of Playhouse Square, Progressive Field, and other downtown attractions. Felt safe being basically right on CSU campus too.

A great spot and location. The staff was so helpful and accommodating. We were there for an appt at Cleveland clinic and they were just amazing. It is a quick walk to progressive field and rocket arena. Theater district is right there.

Scarey Elevator Experience

Only issue was the elevator. After selecting a lower floor (from 4th floor) elevator started to move but then stopped. Buttons and displays were no longer luminated and was stuck between floors for approx 5 minutes? I believe it only started to move again because someone from the 1st floor wanted to go up. The elevator started moving again however bypassed the floor I had selected (but that was OK as at least it moved. The gentleman entered to elevator and I told him I was stuck between floors for awhile, and he then told me this happens on this elevator. This occurred at approx 11PM which I was thankful someone wanted to use the elevator otherwise who knows how long I would have been stuck in the elevator.

The location is great for walking to the ballparks and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance as well. The hotel itself is a little worn. The bedcovers and shower curtain were tattered and worn. Past maintenance had been done poorly and just covered with paint.
