Can't expect much from a cheap motel like this. Bed was comfortable. But 2nd floor with no elevator access makes it hard when you are partially handicapped. Parking plentiful but was concerned about car safety, so I had to bring everything from the car into my room which was very small. Not business friendly.

Red Roof Inn in Mentor/Willoughby was a good place to stop near Cleveland. The hotel wasn't far off the highway, check-in and checkout was seamless, and the room was clean, neat and easy to find. It wasn't too cold or hot, nothing disturbed me during the night, and the bed was very comfortable. I also appreciated how much light the room offered (overhead light, bathroom light, sink light, bed lights), so I never needed to stumble around in the dark. It was well worth the price, for both comfort and location.

I had the worst experience here I have ever had in a hotel (Room 132) and I have stayed in other Red Roof Inns frequently with no problem like this. I see this reported in other reviews online too. I woke up covered in bites or small welts from what looked a lot like bed bug bites. I immediately showered and packed up and had to get back on the road. I informed the front desk and said I would email them pictures. It did not seem like a surprise to them.

When I did get a hold of them they blamed me and said it was probably ticks(?) or fleas that I brought from somewhere else. I understand that they can't control pests but I did not expect to be told that I was lying or that I didn't understand how biting insects work with such a lack of accountability to guests. They said they inspected the room, but the thing about bed bugs is they are hard to detect, especially in the daytime and you need to do more than \"take a look\". I would never, ever stay here again and would seriously advise people avoid this place. It ended up costing me a couple hundred dollars to replace everything I threw out rather than bring it back with me. Go down the interstate to the next Red Roof.

The staff was friendly and my stay was fine. My only complaint is that my room key stopped working multiple times. I had to walk to the front desk each time in the snow. The first time I had my hands full and had to put everything back in the car before walking to the front desk. A little frustrating.

The room was never cleaned in the 3 days. The first day the maid must have come in and dropped off clean towels on the bed. That's it. Didn't take the dirty towels. 2nd day nothing at all. Had to go to the office to get clean towels. Only one key would unlock the door.

The hotel is very old and dirty. It is in an area that feels unsafe. The paint was peeling and blistering on the walls and ceiling. The AC would not shut off so it ran all night. The pillows are horrible. Out of 6 hotels we stayed at on this two week trip, it was the absolute worst. There were several heavy duty utility trucks in the lot and seemed perfect for that crowd.

Good for a 3 star motel. It was clean, but the property is showing it's age. Location is somewhat difficult to find as it is not that clear where th drive to the motel is when coming from I-90. It is partially hidden by trees/shrubs. The cable went off for 10-20 minutes twice. Nothing seriously wrong with the place, but nothing special either.

We booked a \"Superior Room,\" and if it is Superior to the rest of the rooms at this hotel, then I don't want to know how bad those other rooms are. The king-size bed was atrocious. The mattress and/or foundation was either collapsed, broken, or worn out because one side of the bed was collapsed and had little to no cushioning. After midnight, loud music erupted just outside the door. I tried to call the front desk about it, but the room phone did not work. I checked it thoroughly, and it was plugged in but it was inoperative. So, that wasn't very safe. The loud music did not stop, so I was forced to get up from bed and go outside to see what was going on. There was a Cadillac parked in the space right outside our \"Superior Room.\" The car was running, and there was a person sitting in the driver's seat. The music was coming from inside the vehicle, and it was loud enough that the bass notes were causing the car windows to make a buzzing sound. I walked over to the office because I could not call them due to the phone not working. The person in the office said the car is there every Saturday night, it is always parked in the same place, and the driver always sits in it with the sound system blaring. The person in the office walked outside with me, and when she did, the loud music stopped. I was a little afraid to walk from the office back to my \"Superior Room\" because I had to walk near the car still parked and running with the driver sitting inside.
