Towels were dirty in the room. I called down to request clean towels and request handsoap and conditioner since the dispensers was empty. Waited over an hour no response. Went out to dinner and called down again the attendant remembered me calling. Waited another 2 hours and housekeeping only brought me handsoap. I advised that the towels were dirty with someone's make up and and gray stuff. The housekeeper said he would be back.... No one ever came back. Also breakfast is not included as it normally is with all Holiday Inn locations.

Location was convenient and very close to IH37 South
only about 10 minutes from the beach
Lots of restaurant choices
Be sure you rent a car if flying in
nothing within walking distance for food
The Lobby was very spacious
lots of seating for meeting with friends or coworkers
Room very clean and comfortable
The outside felt a little sketchy but we did not encounter any trouble
Indoor pool was a HUGE plus if weather is bad and the reason we booked this location
Good value for the rate

Be careful when booking ahead! I received a notification from the hotel about 15 minutes prior to my check in time at 4:00pm that my reservations were cancelled. I opted to pay at the property so I called and spoke with management and they decided they had a room available…mind you I booked my room over 4 weeks in advance. The room was barely clean, ours had sand, trash, hair, dirt, etc. The breakfast is $14 without a voucher, and it was very very poor. Little to no options and the options that were available, most “ran out” at least an hour before breakfast ended. When requesting the breakfast items be refilled staff members advised they were out for the day but still proceeded to charge several people the $14 breakfast fee for a very limited selection of food. Overall I appreciated the proximity to things, but will not be staying here again!

There has only been elevator operational for at least 1 year. The power goes out frequently, then there is no elevator use and you have to walk the stairs. The stairs are difficult to find, and the back up/safety lights are not that safe. I was not compensated for being without power. There was no apology, or explanation given and the desk clerk was extremely irrational and bothered that we were inconvenienced as customers. The parking lot is full of pot holes. The carpets are dingy and smelly. The maintenance persons, maids, bar tenders, and female desk clerks were amazing. There was one white male desk clerk that made the entire experience terrible with his bad attitude. Every other staff member was great. It's a nice hotel but, not well maintained by the owner seems like. Even the valet carts were dingy, rusty, and grimy. I tried contacting hotels.com to request a partial refund and as I was on the chat, the line disconnected and I never received a call back or other inquiry. The best thing about the hotel is that the AC worked well during the day. It seemed that it wouldn't cycle well throughout the night as the room would become hotter at night. My allergies were terrible for the duration of my stay. That can be avoided with regular cleaning and maintenance.

Check in was at 4pm but we didn’t make it to the hotel until around 8pm- post beach excursion. Upon arrival we were told our room wasn’t ready and that we were going to be given free breakfast for the inconvenience. The two other families we came with made it to the hotel maybe 20 minutes before us and had gotten checked into their rooms. Fortunately we were able to go upstairs to their room and eat the food we had picked up on the way.
The original plan had been to eat and then explore the pool area but every other family after us had also been told their rooms weren’t ready so the lobby was full with everyone waiting.
The pool was indoor but was too crowded for us to really enjoy. No estimate was given on the rooms and for an hour I kept coming back to the lobby to check in. I noticed more and more families waiting in the lobby with no real movement. My guess was that one of the housekeepers must have quit and they got overrun. Either way the front desk could only do so much. They offered us drink passes but we really just wanted to shower and sleep.
We finally checked in to our room around 9:15/9:30. The room was very clean and the a/c was cold. The beds were very comfy.
In the morning we ate the comp breakfast. I don’t think it was really worth the $14 dollars but it was convenient right downstairs. Kids under 12 eat free with an adult so we were able to get my kiddo to eat before we left.
Overall, not the worst experience but I probably won’t be coming back.

Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The elevator was out of service, leaving only one elevator available for all guests. As a result, I had to wait more than 30 minutes multiple times just to travel between my room and the lobby.
When I brought this concern to the attention of the front desk representative, my complaint was not acknowledged, and I did not receive a response, which was frustrating.
Additionally, the pool area had an extremely strong bleach odor. The smell was so overpowering that my eyes began to burn upon entering the area, and I chose not to use the pool.
I understand that maintenance issues can occur, but I would have appreciated better communication and customer service regarding these concerns.

Generally, our stay was okay. However, the reservation was for three people, and the room was only prepared for two. I opened the sofa bed and found that there were no sheets on it. I had to call the front desk to request them, and I had to make the bed myself. The same happened with the towels, as there were only two provided.

When I opened the sofa bed, a dead cockroach came out. The towels in the bathroom had hair on them, and the refrigerator was not cooling properly. Housekeeping never came to the room, not even to empty the trash.

The pool did not appear to have the proper chlorine levels. My husband took our child swimming, and they came out sneezing. That night, they had to take medication to avoid getting sick.

Other than those issues, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

This is a 6 story hotel with only one working elevator. We were on the 5th floor and it took forever to catch the elevator. The hallway air conditioning was either not working or non existent which made it very muggy and carried over into the rooms if the air conditioner wasn’t continuously running. I broke out in a sweat just waiting for the elevator. Our room was next to the ice machine but there was no ice bucket in the room. The shampoo, conditioner and body was bottles were barely full and the body wash ran out after 2 showers. I also had to share one night with a roach. Very disappointed with this hotel

The hotel only has two elevators, and during my stay one of them was out of service. This left the entire property relying on a single elevator that was already struggling to keep up with demand. Staying on the sixth floor, I often waited up to 20 minutes just to get an elevator, and it was constantly crowded with guests and housekeeping staff. To make matters worse, my room was never cleaned during my stay (probably the struggle to get upstairs was a factor). Between the elevator issues and the lack of basic housekeeping service, the overall experience was very disappointing. On the other hand, the staff were nice and the building was otherwise clean.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and would return.
Starting with the good first, staff was very friendly and welcoming.
Our Rm 132 was updated and clean. Love that Holiday Inn has Dove products in the bathrooms. Very good quality, you won't need to bring your own. They had handsoap, body lotion, body wash, shampoo and conditioner in pumps. Wonderful! Room was clean, didn't find much dust like you normally do in some hotels. Yes, the property is older, but the updates they've made paired with their cleanliness made it a great stay. The sofa addition made it a comfortable stay. Nice size room. Didn't feel cramped.
The cons would be the location of our room. It was a noisy hallway with being on the first floor near the elevator, exit and lobby. Next time, we will opt for a higher floor. Breakfast needs work. We had breakfast included when we booked, so we didnt have to pay the $16 for buffet. It was definitely not worth the $16pp they charge people. It should be free like most other hotels, and anything cooked to order should cost you.

Overall, would book here again when visiting Corpus.
