had some trouble when we first arrived. the air conditioning was not working in our room and the front desk person said that there was nothing they could do because they were fully booked. they called what seemed to be the maintenance person and all that was responded was “well, why didnt you cross it off of the chart?”. so we sat still for about 45 minutes in the room while the front desk lady went and called someone else. after waiting, we realized she wasn’t going to come back, so we went back to the front and she provided us two keys to another room. after that situation it was smooth sailing. the front desk people tend to be short in their communication, move slowly, and unsure. a highlight was around 2am when we went into the lobby to grab some tea. i was able to meet a nice gentleman named “Isa”. he was conversational and welcoming. that’s the type of personality that should be at the front desk during the day.

The hotel is a new so it’s still well maintained hopefully it stays that way. The ladies are super polite. They looked overwhelmed with all the check ins but still nice. The room was nice and seemed pretty clean but you can tell they didn’t sweep. There was hair and peanuts when we went in on the floor. At night it was like one in the morning and you can hear the neighbors slam the doors going in and out. So take ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. You can also hear the people above us walking around (footsteps). It’s an ok hotel. The area is ok and the mall is close by. The pool is small and it’s outdoors.

Beds were comfortable, breakfast was exactly what you would expect eggs, sausage or bacon, biscuits, potatoes, oatmeal, cereal. Good location right off the frwy my only issue was housekeeping. Room started clean but service after that was minimal, bed not made (comforter just thrown over the bed, trash not taken, towels not replaced. Maybe they were short staff.

When we booked our room, we didn't know that it was a fairly new hotel. Being that it was, everything was clean and comfortable. We had no issues whatsoever and it was in a great location for our plans. The only thing that we did not like during our stay was that there was about 4 or 5 Penske/UHaul type of vehicles that would take up about 3 parking spots each because they parked horizontally. This caused us to park further away or out of sight from our rooms view. We thought they could have parked in the street instead. With that said, we would definitely stay there again and hope those vehicles aren't there the same time we are.

This facility is approximately 6 months old and it still has that brand new smell! It was very well maintained even though it was obvious that the facility was understaffed. The staff present was very efficient and were resolving issues as quickly as possible! I commend the employees as they were always greeting residents with a great attitude and warm hello. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Overall, we had a good stay. When we checked in, the front desk staff wasn’t very friendly. As we walked to our room, the hallway was very hot, which made me worry that our room would be too. Thankfully, the room itself was clean, comfortable, and nice and cold.

It seems like the hotel may have just opened, so I think they’re still working out a few things. The toilet paper holder in our bathroom had come loose from the wall. I called the front desk to let them know, and they said someone would come up to fix it, but no one ever did.

Aside from the hot hallway and the maintenance issue, we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again.

This was our first time staying at an Atwell Suites and the hotel looks nice, the room was spacious (no cups in the room- I guess bring your own), bed comfortable, and breakfast was fine (a little awkward set up, but food was fine). The main complaint we have is the cleanliness in the main part of the hotel. We were there 4 days. The carpet in the hallway was never vacuumed, which it needed. The main tile floor from the rooms on the first floor to the lobby was never cleaned in spite of dirt and mulch on the floor. The stairway going to the second floor had juice spilled on the stairs and was never cleaned during those 4 days. The dryer was not working and no out of order sign placed on it. I washed a load of beach towels and didn't realize the dryer wasn't working, but the lady at the front desk dried them in the hotel dryers for me. Why not put a sign on the machine so someone else doesn't make the same mistake? Why not get it fixed and how long has it been that way? It just seems like there's no pride of ownership with the place. The staff is nice and the lady cleaning the rooms was more than accommodating when we swapped out towels with her in the hallway. It pretty much seems like the place is poorly managed which is unfortunate for such a nice-looking hotel.

Wow…. Where do I begin? I found this hotel on Expedia. Reviews showed it as a 9/10 score. So I thought I’d be safe booking it. Well, the 9/10 must’ve been in its opening week because my husband and I did not receive 9/10 service here.
At check in, we asked about a military discount. Instead of the receptionist saying “I don’t know, let me get assist,” she acted as if she knew what she was doing, plugging in some number on the computer, but offering us the same total I received on the Expedia app. I asked, so where’s the discount and what percentage do you offer? She’s now looking like a deer in headlights. Why lie if you don’t know what you’re doing??????
So now we have to get out of line to wait for the manager. We wait close to 15 minutes for the manager to come let us know that since we booked thru Expedia, we can’t get a military discount. Thanks Expedia! You’re on the chopping block too. Anyway, ok. We’re here, so we decide to just stay, although I was already looking for another hotel nearby. Mind you, this hotel only has 4 floors, built in 2025. How lost can you get? Well, we still hadn’t paid-over paid for this room! On my 3rd wedding anniversary-yes thanks Atwell. The manager & first receptionist disappear. So the remaining receptionist I guess can’t read or something, we just need to pay lady & get our keys! Terrible keeps happening….room setup is minimal, bathroom setup is crazy (shower behind the door), shower was not clean! I’m done.

Roll down shades and comfy bed are a positive, the negative I was charged a $100 incidental that was not stated ANYWHERE through Expedia or the hotel's own website, they had a buffet breakfast but it was running way late, we were on a schedule so couldn't stay and wait to eat. We had brought our dogs, and so the specified pet room had holes and scratches in the floor so you can only hope you dont get charged for the already damaged room...amenities including HAND soap and cups, ice bucket, etc. all had to be picked up at the front desk and were not in the room. Barely any tissues in the tissue box, and the toilet paper was rough to say the least. Will not stay there again.

Our stay here was nice overall. The room was clean and spacious, with a large couch, refrigerator, and microwave. We also appreciated the complimentary drink from the bar. The breakfast offered a good variety of options, including bagels, cereal, eggs, bacon, coffee, and juice.
The only downside was the air conditioning unit. It was quite loud, and it would shut off periodically, causing the room to become warm. Then when it turned back on, it would get very cold, which made sleeping uncomfortable throughout the night. The bed itself was fine, but the pillows were extremely soft and didn't provide much support, which left us with neck discomfort. Updating the pillows would greatly improve the overall guest experience.

Check in was good, Christina helped me and set the tone/expectations for the stay. I then had to revisit her shortly after to inform her of the floors not being cleaned, if they were it was poorly done. Not only were there scratches but also residue stains from I don’t know what as well as some loose dirt. She stated she’ll make note of it and for me to talk to management next morning. The next morning management was not there. That same night, hotel guests were still in the pool area and were being loud well past 1am. I called down to the front desk around that same time to inquire about pool times and to inform them incase they were unaware. The expectation set by Christina at check in Friday night was that the pool hours were from 10a-10p. When I spoke with the gentleman at the front desk over the phone at this time, he stated he wasn’t Christina, he mentioned his name (Isaiah maybe-something close to this) and that there were no set pool hours when he was there. I then inquired if there were any set by the hotel he then doubled down by using my name in an aggressive tone in his response stating there were none. He seemed to not care about this interaction, very unprofessional in his demeanor. I didn’t want to engage any further given how late it was and continued to hear the group of people at the pool area till around 130 in the morning. The next morning I inquired about management again at check out and again not present, lady at check out was very kind.

I have stayed at this hotel in the previous months with my service animal. They did not ask me for documents the previous time (nor are they legally allowed to) so I did not bring anything this time. Now they are charging a fee for my service animal because I don’t have the paperwork they say they “require.” This is extremely illegal. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), hotels are not allowed to ask for documentation, certification, or ID cards for a service animal. Not only this, but the lady at check in told me “I could have a dog too and say it’s a service animal” essentially implying I’m lying. Very unprofessional. They would not let me check in without paying the pet fee.

And for being a new place the rooms are not as clean as they should be. There was hair in the corner of the restroom and in the towels. Rust through the shower.

Drove all the way from Dallas, Texas to Corpus Christi was told that our room was canceled due to the hotel did not have enough staff and the rooms were not clean the front desk Person did not even offer alternatives only to give us the general managers, name, and phone number and column on Monday morning when it was on a Saturday for us to check in, we had to scramble to find a hotel on a holiday weekend.

The location is genuinely one of the property’s strongest points, and the room size was adequate for our stay. Pricing is reasonable given the area.
However, several aspects fell short of expectations. The front desk staff member on duty showed little warmth — despite greeting her three times, there was no acknowledgment, which made us feel unwelcome. The constant monitoring of guests using complimentary amenities such as coffee and water added to the discomfort.
The most significant issue was the window air conditioning unit, which produced an extremely loud noise throughout the night. Traveling with a one-year-old, this made sleep virtually impossible — I did not get a full night’s rest for the entire stay.
The breakfast offering was well below standard and not reflective of the price point. Overall amenities were very limited compared to what similar properties offer.

We arrived to the property after driving 6 hours just to be told there was no one there to clean up our rooms we booked and no more rooms were available so we couldn’t stay there. We were never notified about this, we found out when we tried to check ourselves in. Mind you, we booked the rooms 2 months in advance. Luckily, we were able to find a room somewhere else , but to be turned around for an unfortunate circumstance like that was totally unacceptable. From the looks of it , this is a brand new hotel, but the way things are running , it’s bad for business.

We booked and paid in advance for a room with two queen beds. When we arrived at the property, we were told to come back after 3 PM because only king rooms were currently available, but that the queen room listed on our reservation would be ready later. We did as instructed and returned after 3 PM, only to be told the hotel was completely sold out and there were no queen rooms available.

Unfortunately, we had no other option and had to take the room provided, which resulted in me sleeping on the pull-out couch. The pull-out bed had no sheets or comforter, and the mattress still had plastic on it — which, considering the hotel is new, was probably a good sign cleanliness-wise, but it clearly had not been prepared for guests.

When I went downstairs to request bedding, the staff seemed irritated and essentially handed it to me with little concern. To make matters worse, two of the pillows provided were visibly dirty. Throughout the hotel, trash cans were overflowing both inside and outside, and dirty dishes had been left sitting around the upstairs common areas.

It’s possible the hotel was short-staffed, but overall the experience was disappointing, especially considering this is a brand-new property and we had high expectations. The positives were that the hotel was new and I did appreciate that the rooms had no carpet.

We got to the hotel early to see if we could check in early and the front desk people ignored us for a few minutes talking to each other. Then started talking to us, they just said no early check ins today. Which is fine so we left and same thing when we came back, we were ignored for a few minutes while they talked among themselves, not even a hi. Then we go up to the room which I booked this place because of its good cleanliness reviews. I go to shower and 3/4 of the towels have long black hairs all over them. The comforter had hair on it too. We called and asked for more towels and they were rude about it and also never gave us any towels. The trash can outside of it was overflowing with garbage, stuff on the ground too. The toilet paper holder immediately fell off the wall when we touched it. Overall it was just an awful experience and I wouldn't stay here again. Don't be persuaded by the newness of the property, it's not worth it.

It’s a beautiful hotel but our experience was not great. When we first arrived the rooms were not ready so we had to go to the lobby restrooms to get ready for the funeral we were to attending, even though I had called ahead to ask. We went to the funeral and when arrived back to the room they had taken all our luggage and everything we own out of the rooms. When we inquired they told us we had check out, which of course was not true since we had just arrived earlier. My husband had to prove to them that we had a confirmed reservation, they said they would investigate. They apologized and asked us to go to the lobby to pick up the luggage from the lobby, the decent thing to do would have been for them to send someone to relive it to the room. No compensation or anything was offered for their mistake and the big inconvenience. Not satisfied with their staff. Our bathroom floor was also dirty. So not staying there again.

Booked three rooms - all three rooms weee dirty. the showers had not been cleaned. There was an extremely strong smells in one of the rooms - had to remove the chair and the ottoman. The smell continued to linger. The floors were dirty in the entry. Trash cans were overflowing outside and inside the property (restroom).
