If I could give them 0 stars I would our room had mold all over the restroom ceiling and I hadn’t even had noticed till the evening I was in that room with my 6 month old that was the worst part this was by far the most worst experience I’ve ever had I will never ever again be staying at this hotel. I showed them the picture and weren’t even surprised.

Room was scorching hot. Microwave didnt work. Asked for a replacement or to be fix but never showed up to repair it. Had to warm food up at gas stations. Tub filled with rust. Leak in ceiling where my clothes got soaked. Someone came into my room and turned off the ac unit. Room temp was 89°. Only one washer and dryer worked.

The sink fixture was loose, and the sink water pressure was not good at all. The shower water pressure was a little bit better than a lot of other places, but still not great. Those are pretty much my only negatives. The AC was cold, the bed was comfortable. Over all a good stay.

This property is being refurbished as we speak. As with so many hotels these days, they are ripping out the carpet and replacing with vinyl \"wood\" planks. I prefer the carpet. Nevertheless, this property is very convenient, clean, quiet on the back side, good ac, hot water, good tv, friendly staff, comfortable mattress.

The staff was wonderful and our room suited our purposes.
However, they are currently undergoing renovation, and the old rooms really need attention.
We saw a few roaches, but they came and sprayed, which helped.
Our biggest issue was there was minimal air conditioning in the bedroom. We had a suite with a separate bedroom, and rather than having an air conditioner or even a fan, there was a dinner plate size hole covered by a vent where the AC was just supposed to waft in from the other room. It was in the 100s in San Antonio, so it was insufficient to keep that room cool.

I really liked staying here its located by the highway, and had a great pool, however the property is currently under renovations(we could not hear the noise) and there was signs that local unhoused people are a nuisance. We had no breakin to our vehicle but they were digging out trash and down the street there people sleeping on sidewalks.

There is no AC in in 1 bedroom suites. Just a small hole with a fan trying to circulate the air. Tub was rusty and there is a $200 deposit if you live in town and are just wanting to get out of the house for a night but overall the rooms are very clean.

When we stayed they didn’t have the pull out couch and the threw the sheets in the closet like they were dirty. They were still going through renovations throughout the hotel. We tried to request another room that had another bed for my mother and sister since the pull out couches weren’t pull out couches. I request to get into another room that had another bed for the inconvenience. They denied because all the rooms were booked for the night. I came back down to ask for some more blankets for the floor but the front desk told me that they had a room available. They moved us that night to another room and we stayed there. Around the afternoon we were done taking showers they had a leak in the bathroom by the vent that needed to get treated and we were told that we would have to move again. The maintenance came in and fixed it and told us that we would be able to stay in the room. Overall I just wouldn’t recommend coming or staying with family when the place is going through full renovations… they mentioned a 200 dollar fee if we broke or took anything so I had to take a picture of the lamp cover missing just in case because we didn’t take anything.

I wish I would have known that the property had renovations going on. We arrived pretty late at night. Front desk person was very sweet but she was sitting at her desk with no AC. She assured us the unit in the rooms were working. Which they were. Halls were so dark to get to out room, elevator ride was horrible. To top it off we did leave to grab a bit to eat when we got back there were people doing drugs on the side of the building. Mind you we did have a child with us as well. Please check the ratings before booking a room.

Not worth the money & the mold mildew smell is bad

First room we got smelled like mold and had visual mold all over fixtures. Contacted hotels.com & front desk and they did move us to a new room where the mold smell wasn't as bad but still had mold present but not as bad... that room microwave didnt work but they did get us a mini small one to use... lots of broken and stained things... the tub had rust all in it on the tub and walls... carpet stained... stove took forever to heat up and actually cook with and we paid for kitchenette. was not happy with the quality for what we paid and would not go back. not staff's fault... the place is outdated and needs to be completely gutted and redone

The only issue we had was that I had booked a suite, bed with a sofa bed. When it was time for bed we went to set up the sofa couch, no bed, just a regular couch, we call down they were trying to charge us for a roll out bed. We fought to get moved into a different room since it is what I initially paid for.

This property seriously needs to be updated. Had to get a chair for the desk. There was no ice machine and the freezer only had 1 ice tray. So no water jug for the first two days, it took that long to get enough ice. I love Candlewood Inns and Suites. But this one, this one needs some help.

My suite was on the third floor but elevator was not working and I had my 85 yr old mom so we had to take a smaller room on first floor with small double beds. The room looked dirty, beds were a mess, it looked like someone had been in there but the lady said nothing else was available and we were tired. She says the people walked in and out with baby but that the floor was too dirty to let baby crawl so they left.
I had Lysol and wipes and had to clean it myself.
The next day I had to explain this in order to get my room cleaned because they said we didn’t get a room clean with a two night stay but after explaining all this and they looked at some notes, I got it cleaned the next day at 5:00 pm! I’ll never stay here again, this was always my favorite place but this was not a good experience at all.

It needs updating too, things are really stained we put a towel on the recliner just to sit because it was so dirty. Very dissatisfied!

This was the wordy place for over $100. We entered the girl was on the phone didn’t say wait a moment - we waited 10 minutes
Finally got checked in only to walk to a broken elevator elevator button. We took the staircase which had an emergency exit with no alarm and the hodge was broken in half! The door was wide open!
We enter the room, only to find out there is a dirty towel that’s hanging off the faucet. Dry btw, brown smudges around. Mold on the caulked walls, rotted wood floor under sink, oil splattered all over the kitchen wall, over head light not workin not vacuumed, q-tip behind dresser, the shutters were screwed inyo ceiling and flew off when we tried closing the m. This was unprofessional, unpleasant, and the most disgusting place we have ever stayed in. I want a refund

Worst experience in Corpus Christi

Hotel was under construction the front desk representative said it washotel.com responsibilities to let us know that hotel under construction. So then we could make our decision to stay. The elevator out of service but we were still booked on second floor…. I told her my husband’s a senior citizen we cannot go upstairs. She said it was the only available room because we booked through hotels.com. So my husband & I walked up to second floor then we found our the keys didn’t work.
The door doesn’t work. The heater doesn’t work.etc……

This place refused to refund me my money. They told me they couldn't refund me because the manager was never there. Their elevators were not working, we had someone with a wheelchair. They told me they couldn't refund because I had reserved through hotels.com. I called hotels.com and they also informed me that they could get ahold of any managers. Super bad management. I wouldn't trust. I had to reserved in another place and and was down. $150 for a one night stay. I am very upset.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The ability to use the washers and dryers for free was wonderful and a surprise bonus! The property is currently under renovations which will be great once completed. There is a foul smell in some areas. The first room we were given had a terrible stench. I am not one to complain and attempted to make it work. I even opened the windows to air it out, but it did not help. There were stains on the carpet and the room in general seemed to be one of the ones that needed renovations badly along with the smell of the entire 2nd floor. The second room on the third floor was much better! The pool area was okay, but my family and I couldn't fully enjoy. This hotel seems to be a property that is housing many male contract workers. Our first day there, we took the kids down to enjoy the pool after all the traveling we had done in the car. There were men there staring at us the entire time. As a woman and mother, I did not feel comfortable at all. Later we realized the men would all gather there to hang out after work daily. We did not return to the pool area the rest of our time there. I would not return to this location again.

The bathroom was horrible! From the handles of the drawers to the actual tub were all dirty and rusty. Even the lamp above the mirror was all rusty. There were no hairdryer and NO PHONE! In the room. Apparently they were “under renovations” and that’s why there were only 5 hairdryers in the whole hotel, and not all rooms had phones.
The furniture was dirty and there were cans in or room when we first arrived.
Worse part…our room door was open when we arrived!

Not staying in this hotel ever again!

First of all some of the rooms are infested with dog fleas! The elevator broke! The floor was sticky and slippery probably because they do not mop properly.The whole Hotel has a bad dog odor. Saw a lot of mold all over. I will not stay here again even if they would give it too me for free. I’m still itching from the flea bites I got last night. All they told me was so sorry for the inconvenience. That they would fumigate.

The reservation made on Expedia was not found when we got to the hotel. Because we has a confirmation, the accomodaded us with a room for the duration, which was great, but to be told you dont have a reservation is a little unnerving. Other than that, our stay was wonderful. The bed was the best i have slept in at a hotel in years! I need this bed at home! I forgot to ask before i left, but i wanted to check the type of mattress, lol. I have back issues, and drive for 6 hours to get there, so the bed was a HUGE first impression! Our room, as well as the hotel were clean and tidy. The staff were all respectful and accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed for our stay. I love that they have a room with items you can borrow, such as games, appliances, and such; makes for a better stay if you dont have to go buy a waffle maker or toaster oven! I would gladly stay again the next time i am in Corpus Christi!

Had to cancel within 10 minutes of being there. Reeked of mildew, horrible customer service, trash all over the place, no lighting whatsoever in the hallways and in the room they gave me. Felt like a horror film. The A/C unit didn’t work, tv hung crooked, cabinets and drawers were all messed up, the tub/shower was horrifying, smelt like mildew had taken over the room, went down to let the front desk know and she never looked up from whatever she was doing. Didn’t care one bit I guess. So I canceled and all she had to say was “you will be charged for one night” I said ok and left. I will NEVER stay at this location or ANY Candlewood property for that matter again. First time customer by the way. Hopefully others don’t have the same experience.

For an IHG property I expected a ton more. The carpet had missing pieces and massive stains. The elevator smelled of mold. The bathtub was rusted all over and the floor of the tub was so worn out(did not shower because of this). Fridge in room had stains on the outside. There was a clear plastic elastic ties on the smaller alarm. Have pics if anyone wants to see. Complete disaster. Left after first night of two.

Attempted to leave/ checkout at 9am, desk refused to give receipts, daughter had to pay a deposit and had to return after noon to receive the deposit,,,sure am glad we weren't traveling and attempting to leave the property at 8am.. That Was Ridiculous.. Daughter had to call police as workers daughter was in room between the 2 rooms we had and the girl had a bunch of her friends over all night causing a ruckus and was loud and very inconsiderate of anyone else and we had 5 kids...

No air conditioning on the third floor. Staff rude, unfriendly, and unprofessional. The girl told me I was on the 3rd floor, I get to the room and the keys don't work. I go back down dripping with sweat and I was told \"I'm sorry, you are on the 1st floor. \" After wandering around for 10 minutes trying to find my room with NO assistance from the front desk girl I get to my room and it smells like mold and mildew. It's supposed to be a suit yet there was no couch, just 1 recliner and 1 hard chair with torn vinyl seat cover. Then, when I kicked off my shoes, I discovered that the carpet was wet in multiple spots which explained the mold smells. I called the front desk to request a different room and was told the only available room was on the 3rd floor. Needless to say I requested a refund. I had to fight for it but I got it. Will never EVER even consider staying at one of these hotels again. Stay at the Hampton.

We chose this hotel because it was pet friendly but the only area they had to walk your dog was a 4’ x 20’ area with no other grass. The elevator was not by the front but down the hallway and we were at the other end and there was no air conditioning in the hallway and it was 100 degrees. The carpet in our room was very badly stained the ac in the room would cool down the room then it would get really warm then cool down again all night. But what really made me mad was our reservation was for 3 adults and 1 children but there was only 3 towels so I went to the front desk to ask for 1 more towel and they said I had to bring down a dirty towel before I could get 1 more towel, unbelievable and unacceptable

We had a reservation for a one bedroom suite with a sofa bed. Upon checking in and going to the room there was not a sofa bed in our room. Going down to front desk the clerk was cleaning the pens and I let her know we did not have what we reserved and while she made NO eye contact with me simply said that’s all we have we are booked. So basically the extremely poor customer service coupled with making a reservation that do not keep makes this my worst ever experience at a hotel. Perhaps it would have been more bearable had the clerk acted like she cared.

This hotel met my needs at an affordable price. Everything in the unit worked, but the unit was not especially clean. Rust in the bathtub, which also was slippery. No screen on the window or kitchen ventilation, in other words, no fresh air.

For price not worth it

The maintenance was not up kept rust in tub the couch in the room smelt like urine the staff confused when checking in and fact we have to get our own towels inconvenience and it won’t let me post the picture I have of rust in restroom tub
