The room was very clean, linens were so comfortable and cozy. It was a good thing because we couldn't grt the heat to work, the room stayed between 59-61 degrees. Our second room we also had the water faucet in the shower fell off, took maintenance 15plus minutes to shut off. Upon check in,we were told 1 room was ready and the second was almost ready. We opted.to wait for both. An hour passed and still no.word. A different front desk person then said neither room were ready. Then told had to wait until 4pm. This was not the experience i would have expected from such an exclusive property, especially during off season.

Our stay was everything you would hope it would be staying at a beautiful 5 star resort. The room was comfortable, beautifully appointed with upscale furnishings and the most comfortable bed. We had a gas fireplace in the room that kept us cozy and casted a warm ambiance for our stay.
The hotel staff was great, location perfection.
Exactly what we were looking for. I wouldn’t change a thing

The property was beautiful - well maintained and gorgeous location. However, I was in a room with a door adjoining the next room. The sound level from the adjoining room was ridiculous. It was partly the family who was there - so loud at 6:45 in the morning and partly the Inn's fault for very little separation between the rooms. You could see light around the door and partcularly under the door. I got little sleep.

Old school hotel complex in a great location overlooking the Sea. Great ambience in the main lodge & dining facilities. Very kid friendly with the main pool swarming with kids. At one point I noticed 8 small kids in the large jacuzzi at one time - unusual for a luxury property. The pool experience & commotion I would consider a negative. The price point was rather expensive as our hotel room was a bit dated & not equivalent to what we experienced at the neighboring Wequassett Resort. The service was excellent & we enjoyed the private boat rides to the beach.

Beautiful property w tremendous view. I have stayed here many times and it was as good as expected. We spent a lot of time in the pub and received excellent care from our server Vanya. On the negative side, disappointed that the library was closed for renovation as it was one of the big reasons I chose CBI over the Wayside Inn which was half the price. Oh well.

The first night, I could not get parking at my building so I had to stay a little further down the street. I also had a lot of noise from the room next door to my room and had to call the front desk. They came to that room to get them to quiet down. It was 1am. I believe it was the people in that room that filled my parking lot.

My experience was amazing. Loved the holiday decorations. Wreath decorating was great. Staff was superb. Loved the Inn's \"old Cape Cod\" decor. It has not succumb to the minimalist decorating style most hotels now have.

One issue, all the bed pillows were too soft. It was difficult to get the head support I needed to sleep. I kept walking up.

Great place but on the last day they had a huge corporate function so the POOL WAS CLOSED, the bikes were unavailable, the buses were arriving with convention people and thats fine except THEY DIDNT TELL US all activities would be closed that morning. They didnt tell us.

I would NOT have paid $800 for one night if I knew that the next morning the pool would be locked, the beach closed off for the function, etc. I FELT SO TRICKED

The room was ok internally however the windows had blinds because directly outside were ventilation systems which constantly made a horrible noise all day and all night!!!!! We would never stay in that room again. A complaint was made but the senior manager failed to speak to me.

Beautiful, spacious rooms. Decorated beautifully. Clean. Stunning property. Amazing location on the beach. Restaurant with bar was great food and service. Lobby was warm- A/C must not have been working efficiently. Difficult to get reservations at restaurants- even if staying there. They should give priority to guests staying on the property. Flowers were incredible! Great location close to town. Would definitely stay there again!

Long term homeowner in proximity to CBI and first time guest. Beautiful location and grounds, but stay fell short given established reputation and the cost of accommodations, Room smelled quit musty. Decor suggested a collection of castoff furnishings from perhaps past renovations. Bathroom needed updating! Nespresso machine was very dirty and dispensed old coffee grounds. Night guard container, obviously from a previous guest, found on floor near bed. Honestly, I have never posted such a critique, but after years of wondering what it would be like to stay at CBI, I was disappointed!

Lovely hotel facing the beach and short walk into Chatham.
Valet & Reception staff and barman in the afternoon were all very welcoming.
Unfortunately the evening bar staff were not .
We ate in the bar on our first afternoon which was excellent however breakfast was a mixed bag. Food was disappointing and some staff were not the most helpful.
Overall Chatham Bars Inn is in a great spot & has some lovely features but couldn’t give a 5 star rating .

Their systems kept declining my credit card we tried 4 different cards from 3 different users and they made us look like we didn’t have functioning cards and I told the desk person to use the other machine and he wouldn’t until he got his manager out here. It took them 45 minutes to get this handled and was not what I expected from a Hotel like this. On top of that we had already pre paid for our stay. We offered to pay incidentals in cash because their machine didn’t work and they refused.

Now they use only valet parking, and take horrible care of your vehicle, as in 10 hours after I handed them the key found the truck open in the parking lot, windows down, doors unlocked, key inside the truck and not with the valet guys. \"Heated\" pool is roughly 60-65 degrees. Walls are paper thin. Noise is tremendous. Food is terrible. Service is the worst of ANY hotel or motel I've stayed with throughout the world. Utter waste of money and vacation

Honestly i was a bit disappointed about a couple of things. Property is beautiful, but upon entering the room after check in the toilet water was running. When calling front desk they said “this has happened before.” For a property this price i dont think it should be happening “often.”
Also, for breakfast, yo have the a la carte you have a to sit inside. If you want to sit outside you have to order the buffet. So they are forcing you to order the most expensive breakfast option so you can sit outside
