We have been frequent visitors to the Ocean Edge Villages over the years. The condos are always very clean, well appointed, and comfortable. The gym has excellent equipment and is well cared for. Each time I used the treadmill, the attendant came in to check to see if there were plenty of oranges and amenities in the refrigerator. The Britteridge units are close to 6A and convenient for walking, biking, or driving.

Rooms were very nice and the Property and Pubs were very good. It is kind of off season and quite but when we checked in she said that beach chairs and towels will be available at the pool and beach but not true. Also no mention of parking space procedure at the Villages. It was very confusing of where to park ? A beautiful full place to stay all in all.

The villages, depending on where you stay are an 8 min drive away. Even if you stay in closer villages you still have to travel over a main road. There is a shuttle bus but you would not want to rely on that as they don't come that often. We drove everywhere. You don't feel like you're staying in the ocean edge resort, you feel like it's a trek to get there if you want to visit the beach/ mansion house. We didn't use the main facilities other than the beach which was lovely but only has chairs, no sun beds. We wanted to hire a bike to go on the bike trail but the bike huts were always closed so had to rent one from company locally.
The room itself was very nice and had kitchen and living area and washing machine and dryer. Nice pool up in the villages which we enjoyed sitting at one day.

We stayed in 32C in Arbor Village. Proximity to the pool and Lynx restaurant was great. The one BR flat was very tidy. The open plan kitchen/living area was very pleasing and having a washer/dryer was a plus.

The bedroom itself was fine, and the bed was spacious and comfortable. The sofabed, however, was a major disappointment. It looked fine as a sofa, but as a bed it was clearly dated, the mattress was thin and lumpy and WAY too short to accommodate anyone over 5’ in height. Had to sleep on the diagonal all 3 nights…and use pillows from the bedroom’s bed.

Also, the snoring if the guest in the unit next to ours was completely audibke through the this LR wall. At those prices, I’d hoped for at least a decent night’s sleep…but that did not happen even once.

Kitchen was well-equipped, though I’d suggest adding a shallow all-purpose rectangular pan. Tiny coffee maker was okay, but would have been tedious if more than one coffee drinker was staying there.

Bathroom was okay, though dated with only so-so water pressure in the shower. Absence if shampoo & conditioner was noted.

The grounds were lovely to walk and personnel were very helpful.

Our room gave us welcome proximity to family members staying in Billington and Endicott Villages…and my daily lap swimming in the Fletcher Pool was heavenly!!

We really enjoyed the amenities. The outdoor pools, the beach and the lawn games were great for our family with young kids.

Not impressed with the level of cleanliness.
There was a musty odor in the hallway, dusty surfaces in the room and paper and hair debris on the carpet in the stairwell leading to the room.

We come here every year and every year is amazing. This year, our room had coffee rings that weren’t cleaned on our nightstands, moldy smelling towels, the worst full size bed I’ve ever slept in and they charged us random fees and when we went to discuss them to the front office they told us a manager would call us. They never did, continued to charge us upwards of over $1500 in charges and still no phone call from a supervisor. My parents who were traveling with us accidentally locked themselves out of their room and because they were only given one key with the “systems down” had to go back and ask for another one- 3 employees refused to give them a key until they asked for a supervisor who finally got them back in their room. Absolutely horrible experience and the fees are still pending with no resolution. Very disappointed.

Returned for another stay because we like this resort but was disappointed with the poor reception at check in. A simple hello or welcome to the hotel would be expected. “I need an ID and credit card” is not a proper greeting for the hospitality industry…
We were not offered a map or invited to use the facilities or asked if we were familiar with them. There was no one else waiting to check in, so no excuse. Staff needs training.

We were able to check in early which was great. The Villages area is quiet and about a half mile from the main Ocean Edge resort. The room was lovely but for the price we paid for one night a paper towel or napkin in the kitchen area would have been nice. We had to use bath towels for our lunch. Not great. The indoor pool nearest to us was closed for cleaning at 2:30 on a beautiful Saturday with no staff on site. I asked at check in if it was open and we were assured it was ready for guests. Long walk for nothing! Lovely grounds and near restaurants and beach. Beautiful grounds and beach but make sure you check the tides if you plan to swim!

The accommodation on a previous stay at the Villages at Oceans Edge was better. This unit had severely stained upholstered furniture and drapes. The overall property is beautiful with a great location but we were disappointed in the furnishings…. Need to be cleaned or replaced.

Checking in during this time of year is actually 1/4 mile down the street. There was no sign stating this. The room was cold and heat not turned on. I could hear my neighbor’s TV better than mine and all their conversations.
The setting is nice but I won’t stay here again.

This review does not include the housekeeping staff at the villages. The housekeeping staff were amazing - kept our room clean and bright!

However, the front desk staff and managers were a complete disappointment. I was getting married off site on the 14th and called to ask if I could have a package delivered to reception. The staff said yes. The package was delivered on September 11. I called no less than 10 times to check about the package and they could not find it. Not only could they not find it, they never called me back. This included the manager, Alex. The reception staff also stated that the person who signed for it no longer worked there so \"someone else must have used her name to sign for it.\" They also stated no manager was on duty multiple times.

This was a box for my wedding on the 14th with over 1500 dollars worth of goods in it. They did not find it until one of my guests went to the front desk and insisted on searching the receiving room herself. Again, it is one thing to lose a package and another to never call the person back. I travel for work and have never had an experience like this. They made my wedding experience incredibly stressful. And, still, no call.

Ate at the Pub downstairs 1 night, limited food options on the menu and the food was just ok for the money. Staff were all very friendly, they could’ve used some more bartenders at the beach bar, very busy and a long wait for a drink

This was our first stay at Ocean Edge. Our go to lodgings were closed for renovations.
The level of service, the amenity options abd the locstion cannot be beat.
Old style guest service combined with modern accommodations
Definitely suggest going to the Villages after Labor Day.
The weather is still nice, the crowds a bit less and all guests have access to the amenities at the main mansion such as the private beach and beach bar.
We are already planning a return to the Villages next September.

Our TV was not working when we arrived. An engineer came to fix it, but it stopped working again the following day. Our door battery died, so we were stranded outside our door and our dinner got cold. Housekeeping did not show up, and we had to call them in the evening just to get service. Our bathroom door was unable to close when we arrived. Someone had to come and fix this as well. We waited one hour for a shuttle after swimming at the Arbor Pool (if I knew they were so unpredictable I would just driven). We later found out that a worker had told us to wait for the shuttle at the wrong location (which is the location where the shuttle had actually dropped us). The shuttle driver who dropped us was so nice and friendly to the people who were on the shuttle with us, but as soon as they dropped, he acted like there was no one on the shuttle…like we were air. We were in a basement room with very bad reception. I called to report these problems and not one manager or anyone from the result contacted me. It’s a shame because the place has such potential, but facing multiple issues everyday ruined our vacation and it did not seem like any of the resort staff or management cared.

The Villages were a great option for our one night stay on the Cape! When you aren’t renting for a week in the summer, options are few and far between. We rented two Arbor one bedrooms for our family of four with two teens, and it was an excellent value. Very comfortable beds and AC. Staff friendly though they could use more staff for check in. Very clean rooms. The mansion side is nice and more luxurious, but really not a good value for one night, this was way more comfortable and much more room - two large apartment style rooms vs. one room that cost even more. Great place for families, will stay again.

I have been spending my summers at Ocean Edge for 3 years now and have been coming to the Cape for 10 years. I was disappointed that the hot tub for Arbor was closed for the entire week. It is the main reason why we stay in Arbor is to have access to the pool and hot tub. It was inconvenient to go to the mansion for the hot tubs. Otherwise all is good.

The property is beautiful. The rooms were clean and spacious and had all the kitchen things we would need to prep our am coffees and breakfast.... and other meals if you chose to bring in groceries.
But being across the st at the very end of the Villages area it was not convenient to use the beach, and restaurant on the mansion side. We were not supposed to drive and park over at mansion side, but use the shuttle. They need more frequent shuttles. Not great to have to wait 20 min in humid weather and esp in wet sandy beach attire, or when the rain came on our way to dinner. So,we did park by mansion--- feeling rushed and guilty trying to find a parking space. Ocean terrace did a good job of moving all the uncovered tables under the pavillion when a torrential rain and wind passed by--thank you. I prefer the ocean side beach and not the bay side there where the water/tide goes very far out in low tide- a long walk to get in deep enough to cool off.

I like that it was close to the mansion so when you book your room there, you could go to the mansion and enjoy the pool the beach and all the amenities that’s attached to this hotel. I think they have to do a better job and describing that these two hotels are Together and you can use the ocean edge mansions amenities so a lot that’s there. That’s not mentioned great place clean convenient to all restaurants in the shores.
