The room was cute and had a window facing the ocean but no screen to open and enjoy. The bathroom was clean but no place to put toiletries for two people. I thought I spent the extra money for breakfast but the paper tucked into the envelope with the keys said breakfast was $17+ . There was 1 light for the entire room. Was it okay, yes. Would I go back, no.

The place itself is great, but unfortunately there was a big wedding party staying there and my girlfriend and I were the only people not apart of that party. They were extremely noisy throughout the entire night, up until 2am to 3am. We hardly got any sleep due to the party happening directly outside our window outside. They were talking loudly, cheering, playing music. We were extremely frustrated because there is no staff around during the night so it was lawless, is what it felt like. Very hesitant to rebook this place because of this experience, even though we want to come back to the Cape this summer.

Really enjoyed our \"By the Sea\". Our room, one of the less expensive rooms with a view of the parking lot and another building was, nevertheless, very comfortable. Excellent king bed was, efficient, quiet AC, large enough to move around. The location -right on the beach with a sea-view breakfast room.Breakfast was terrific - freshly made muffins, eggs, meats, fresh fruit. A good value.

It’s situated right on a beautiful beach and has amazing views. It was amazing. The owner and general manager were so hospitable and accommodating. The location is right on the beach with plenty of chairs and umbrellas to make your time pleasurable. There’s a large fire pit with comfortable sofas to enjoy the evening. The rooms are spotless and the entire property well maintained. Personally, we found our new yearly go to spot for a relaxing getaway.

Breakfast was amazing—just keep in mind that breakfast is only served from 8-10 am, so if you have early scheduled tours, you will have to find breakfast elsewhere. Hotel is a great value for a stay on the beach. We had a 2 bedroom with kitchen and living area, small deck we did not use. The inside is recently remodeled, not fancy but clean, modern and more than adequate. Bathroom with shower also remodeled and very nice. If I return to the Cape I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Easy, contactless check-in and a clean, comfortable room. We were only able to stay a short time so we didn’t take advantage of all that was offered. The private beach area is small but we really enjoyed the quiet opportunity to dip our toes in the water after a long drive. We did pay extra for an “ocean view”… we probably wouldn’t do that again because you can simply sit in the screened room or enjoy the private outdoor space and have the most beautiful view already.

Beware. There is an addition $25 a day for cleaning whether you want it or not. I did not see that or I would have never booked By The Sea Guest Suites, plus the taxes are high. The outside stairs were not swept for the two days we were there so we constantly had sand in the room on the laminate floors with no broom. I would not go back.

Someone spiked coffee on the table at the entrance and that table has been dirty for the five days we were there . Fire pit area is very dirty , it’s a shame . No one hangs out there . Room are not being cleaned every day and if you request for the room to be cleaned they don’t really clean it it felt like they just sprayed Febrezze . That’s not right .
We payed over $300 per night Breakfast is horrible cheap very poorly made with very cheap ingredients . They don’t even have milk for the coffee and if you are lucky to get fruit you get stale fruit . Owner comes every morning to talk about himself and his house in FL and his boat .. it would be nice if someone would care about cleanliness and guests for a change .
If you decide to go 2 nights is more than enough . Otherwise you will be wasting your money . Hotel is better option .

What a unique and quaint find on the Cape! A beautiful antique home (we stayed in the guest house) with a very unique history (ask Erin the owner!) The staff we so friendly, the rooms were pristine (especially the bedding and towels!) And our bed was acrually very comfortable. We had a fresh hot breakfast everymorning. All night access to a coffee bar and the beach right outside our doors. We would absolutely go back. We loved that the location was right in the middle of the cape ...so we could access anypla e we wanted to go!

Come for the location and the people. We had a nice stay and everyone; both the staff and the other guests are super friendly and laid back. Generally, the property has everything you need - a hearty breakfast served in a nice ocean view porch, beach towels, beach chairs, a fire pit for socializing, and a mini-fridge in the room. You'll be right on the beach (This is a Sound beach, not the Atlantic which means no waves and it's warm and some seaweed). A few minor things to note, the a/c in our room #113 was a window unit and it took me some getting used to the noise at night. I also believe you'll get a better rate if you book directly through the property, sorry Expedia! You are a short drive to Harwich Port with lots of shops and restaurants, and there are a few restaurants within walking distance from the B&B too.

This is a very cute place. It is right on the beach which has its own private section. There were lounge chairs and Adirondack chairs on beach. They had a corn hole board on the beach as well. They have a small eating area for guest with a kitchen. Everyone was very nice. I would definitely stay again.
