Clean Oceanview Room.
Beautiful Beach
Plenty of chairs laid out for you.
Beach only steps from the rooms.
Nice outdoor pool, children’s pool, lounge chairs, umbrellas for all (September)
2 weddings while I was there, never heard a thing once I was in my room with door closed.
Nice fire pit at night.
Wonderful young helpful friendly staff from Montenegro.

Not so good:
The restaurant space is not at all inviting. The menu is limited. A hamburger with fries was $30.00 at dinner time.
It’s tough if you’re handicapped in any way. There are no designated bellmen. The young man at the reception desk helped me get my belongings upstairs and down a long hall.
The indoor pool area has a strong chlorine? smell.
It was confusing where to get towels for the beach.

Thin walls which meant the children running in the room above us just after 6am woke us up much earlier than we'd like while on vacation. Also noisy ladies up late drinking and talking kept us awake longer than desired. Overall, I'd recommend.

everything about this property was 10/10. my only thing was i needed daily access to hot water for my medicine and a microwave for my baby food. both cant be done from room so had to go to the restaurant and ask for hot water everyday, and go to second story of indoor pool to use the microwave. other than that this place is fantastic. their clam chowder is better than the famous skipper next door even. and im a new england clam chowder conossieur.

Our Family’s Happy Place

Fabulous week with family and my mom. Staff are friendly and helpful, location cannot be beat, beach is spacious (watching my 87 year old mom play hormone for first time-priceless). Walked the beach every day, relaxing spots to sit and face river and read. Nightly music-we went twice and both times were so impressed #Dezi Garcia and #TheLeafyGreens -just amazing. Great restaurants within a mile! Beautiful spot to watch sunsets. It is not cheap but worth every penny.

Property was very nice. Beach was well maintained and chairs and umbrellas were plentiful. Indoor and outdoor pool were also nice and great for the kids. A lot of entertainment options for kids.

Room and beach towels were small and uncomfortable. Housekeeping staff was generally unfriendly and felt like they went out of their way to not say good morning or hello. Many other staff were extremely friendly. Charging $25 a day to park is ridiculous. The parking lot is somewhat small but each room should be allowed to have 1 car and then you can charge for a second car if there is one. That would be my biggest complaint about an otherwise great stay. We would definitely return.

It was absolutely beautiful! The service was fantastic, the food was fantastic, and of course the view was fantastic! The pickleball courts were also so much fun and they have mini golf right next to it if you’re still feeling competitive afterwards! Family friend or adult only friendly as well! We had a blast!

We had a good stay at Red Jacket. The property was clean and very well maintained. The staff was friendly and our kids had a lot of fun with the activities.

My only complaint would be the seating around the pools. The pool did not open daily until 9am but there were towels, bags, and other items on the chairs to reserve seats at the pool before 7am daily. When we could get a chair or two and spent time at the pool, the chairs with stuff reserving them were not used for hours at a time. We want to be able to safetly monitor the kids swimming and could not always do so.

Have been in many places in Cape. Red jacket so far is best place in Cap for family, will definitely be back again. Indoor pool could have been cleaner, but otherwise it's a nice place to stay. Private beach with it's service is definitely top! Also very much enjoyed live country music in the evenings, fireplace, bar. Very convinient. Staff is fantastic!

Not a Resort—Just a Pricey Motel with Beach Access
We paid over $500/night (plus $25 parking & 20% auto-gratuity) for what felt like a dated motel with a pretty view. The only great part? Nature: the beach, flowers, breeze, and bunnies.

The “Resort” Reality:
• Parking: $25/night—no spots when we arrived (on a Monday night).
• Room: Looked like the photos, slept well.
• Coffee: 1 used pod, 1 hazelnut.
• Breakfast: Buffet nearly empty at 9:30 AM. Ordered à la carte—raw eggs, missing toast, slow service.
• Atmosphere: Chaotic. Screaming kids, crying babies, coughing, spilled food, no peace.
• Beach: Towels require 1 card each—only given 2. No beachside service.
• Food/Drinks: Few options, overpriced. $17 for a plain burger, $15 for weak mixed drinks.
• Pool: Packed with kids. Cabanas are rentals—no casual use.
• WiFi: Gone by Day 2. That was the last straw.

We left early. Some staff were nice, but overall service was inconsistent. This place leans on location and nostalgia, but the experience doesn’t justify the price. Maybe worth $250/night—maybe.

We really enjoyed our stay. If you’re looking for a beach resort with nice accommodations, an array of activities, and a really nice beach, I’d highly recommend this resort. The staff was very friendly and the rooms look recently redone. Nothing fancy but nice. Breakfast food was mediocre but lunch options were pretty good. Great place for a family getaway.

This is more a motel resort than anything else. The water bottle on the beach sat empty while staff chit chatted with each other. No social organization. The lobster rolls were 42 dollars with automatic 20 percent but were smaller ounces of lobster than other restaurants that charged 4 dollars less. Parking was additional 48 dollars. Over all the 600 plus nightly rate plus plus not worth it. Othrtwise nice beach, chairs and umbrellas.

Nice location right on the beach. We had an oceanfront room which was nice with a toddler for going to the beach. There were lots of beach chairs even for a holiday weekend you did not have to wake up early to get a good spot. Beach chairs, towels and umbrellas provided without a fee. You get towel cards for towels. There is an indoor and outdoor pool. It’s great that there is a restaurant on property and a small lunch place that serves hotdogs/hamburgers/salads/drinks/
beer. Overall great stay although I do wish they would clean the rooms without having to call every morning if you want service. I found that the front desk was very responsive to any requests we had such as extra waters or when we did call to have room cleaned.

Disappointing Stay – Not as Advertised

I booked this hotel hoping for a relaxing, beachfront getaway, especially since it was marketed as recently renovated. Unfortunately, aside from the nice landscaping and convenient beachfront location, my experience was far from what was promised.

There was hair all over the tub, walls, and bathroom floor, clearly left from the previous guest. It was obvious the tub and walls hadn’t been properly cleaned.
The room doors were sticky and dirty, with peeling paint. It looked like they were just painted over rather than replaced or properly refinished.
Closet issues – Several hangers in the closet were broken
There was an iron in the room, but no ironing board.
The pool area had standing water all over the floor and didn’t feel clean or welcoming.
The fire detector in our room was beeping and flashing all night, making it nearly impossible to sleep.
The service was the worst part. The front desk manager was unhelpful, dismissive, and never smiled. Anytime I asked a question or made a simple request, the answer was a flat-out “no.”
I brought up all of these issues during checkout, including the sleepless night caused by the beeping detector, but received no apology or resolution.

I’ve stayed in other nearby hotels like Bayside and Sunbird, which truly feel like resorts. Sadly, this hotel didn’t come close, despite its great location.

This is an older renovated resort. The pools there are large! Even the indoor pool. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and the interior is well decorated and clean. We had a beachfront double queen room. The view and bed mattresses were awesome! The beach was nice and clean but we never made it down there as it was a little too cool and we did a lot of sightseeing. I will definitely stay there if I ever go back to Cape Cod.

The location of the resort was great. The receptionist greeted us with a nice smile.all the staff were very kind and very helpful the restaurant in the facilitate the food was delicious. we had a beautiful view of the ocean. our room was clean all around The facility was very clean and organized. The sunset was magical sitting out on the deck having the view of the ocean there was a lot of birds and bunnies very nice scenery calming the pool was clean. A Lot of things to do on the resort, but if you want to go out of the resort there are nearby restaurants, there’s a nearby movie theater, mini golf and lotta things to do on and off the resort overall, I recommend the Red Jacket Resort to anybody that would like to get away with a loved one or with your family.

Everything was great , staff was so nice and super friendly. The bathroom in our room was a bit dirty, and some of the blankets were also dirty. It was a bit hard to navigate when we first got there due to user error and a staff member was quick to escort us.

The indoor pool was amazing and this place is SUPER KID FRIENDLY. It was the first time my husband and I took our toddler away on our own and it felt really safe , and there was plenty for us to do .

Our stay was during the off season (early May) so the property was very quiet. Location is great. Our negative experience was that the mini-fridge did not work 2 of the 3 days of our stay. We reported the problem to the front desk but it was not fixed. Some electrical outlets and both reading lights did not work.

We stayed during April Vacation, booked two rooms for our large family.
First the good, the property is on the ocean, has an indoor heated (sometimes not so heated) pool.
The grounds were clean.
The rooms were nice, they look newly remodeled and I enjoyed the fact that they had laminate flooring instead of carpet. The beds were ok.
Every staff member we came into contact with was pleasant.

The things that could be improved..
The biggest issue we had was that our young children were playing on the small deck outside of our room, they were in their bathing suits as we had come from the pool. They both had at 20 if not more slivers in their feet and hands. This is a huge safety issue and should be addressed immediately.
The other issues were minuscule but being that the hotel is not cheap and we have stayed at many hotels on the Cape, they are worth mentioning.
No microwave in room
Only a few tv channels
No snack vending machines and the drink one took $3 one night and then stopped working
The hotel restaurant is way overpriced! And I don’t think I saw the waitress smile at any customer the entire time we were in there. The food was ok.
There is no little shop for convenience items, which is always nice if a traveler forget something or needs a snack (again no vending machines for such items)
A small playgroup would be great. They do have one big swing on the river side of the property.
The activities were good but the times were poorly planned.

Only small issue is that the walls are thin and you can hear everything in the rooms around you, but being a family friendly place it was nice to hear so many kids around having a great time!
