Bay view nice but if you choose „basket service“ it means NO service. TV had lots of channels but were of no relationship to handout in room.

Cold floors (no rugs). Right next to hospital (possibly a good thing).

Read about incredible breakfast….well increase if you are looking for packaged cheese sticks, boiled eggs (for real), cereal cups, etc. Nothing warm…frankly yuck…

Way overpriced for what you get. If you are upstairs no elevator and stairway is steep and literally 2 foot or less wide…scary

The staff was great and very welcoming throughout our stay. However, when entering the building where our room was located, there was a noticeable mildew smell near the ice machine that could use attention.

The room itself was good overall, with just a few minor issues. The bathroom hand shower had a broken mount, and the vanity looked worn and could benefit from a fresh coat of paint. It would also be helpful to have more than one small hook in the bathroom for hanging towels or clothing.

On a positive note, the bed was very comfortable, which made for a good night’s sleep. Overall, despite a few maintenance items that could be improved, I would stay here again if I were visiting Hyannis.

In a world of cookie cutter hotels, the Anchor In is a refreshing old school style motel. The staff is wonderful- friendly and helpful. Although the motel is no longer a family run operation, they know the history of the place and take pride in carrying on the operations so lovingly curated over decades by the family who used to own it. The motel is both right on the harbor with perfect views and close to town for easy walking.

Some reviews mention that rooms are outdated. I prefer to look at it as a vintage style; nothing was in disrepair, we had everything we needed, and it was impeccably clean. The bed was really comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was great. WiFi was strong. Our room was huge, and had a private balcony, which had it not been winter we would have enjoyed.

My only complaint is the site fees. I can forgive a resort charge of some sort because there are some amenities available, but $45 is really steep, especially in winter when the outdoor pool is closed. Breakfast is included but it is very basic. My real issue, though, was the parking fee. It’s outrageous to charge parking at a motel which is by definition designed for motorists with parking directly outside the rooms. As we were checking out, I found out the Anchor In is now owned by Margaritaville, which explains it, but it left a sour taste to an otherwise lovely experience.

I believe Sandi at the desk gave me the best greeting and welcome I have ever received from a hotel. She wasn't 'corporate' but very personable. She didn't just tell us about the breakfast, the pool, etc...she took us in a small tour to show us. The room where we had breakfast was very homey with a roaring fire in the fireplace.

Since we stayed here 2 years ago the Anchor Inn went downhill . It all started when we checked in, we received a lecture about how we had to be with our service dogs at all times. We were in room 126. There was a slippery large pool of water from the ice machine in the foyer going into the hallway for rooms 100 etc... Our luggage wheels and shoes were wet, and we had a service dog that got wet feet. This was never corrected for our 3 day stay even with house keeping crossing it many times. The plumbing is old in the room, the shower had to be jiggled, the rod where the soap goes came off, a hole in the wall behind the bathroom door, the toilet started running in the middle of the night for no reason. Then there is a resort fee for absolutely nothing . They claim for wifi ,a pool and parking that is standard these days. The bed and room itself was nice but not resort quality. The biggest plus is the view it's fantastic. But not worth $250 a night plus resort fee. This hotel needs a lot of basic maintenance.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but not particularly memorable.The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were polite.
The room was clean and decently sized, with a comfortable bed and a balcony. However, the decor felt a bit dated, and somethings were a little bashed up.
Breakfast was adequate — standard continental fare, nothing bad, but nothing special either. I appreciated the availability of coffee and lemonade in the lobby throughout the day.
In short, it’s a solid choice if you're looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay, but don’t expect anything luxurious or standout. I’d stay here again if I needed to, but it wouldn’t be my first pick.

Property location is excellent - on the harbor but short drive/walking distance to Main Street with many shops/restaurants. Plenty of parking. Staff is very friendly! We were greeted with a nice welcome and a tour of the property. We were given great restaurant suggestions! Common areas were fresh and looked to have been updated recently. Our room was on the second floor with only stair access. We are both seniors and it took some effort to get our luggage up/down to/from our room. The room was spacious and clean with a safe balcony that had a nice view of the harbor. The beds were comfortable and clean and there was plenty of seating and storage in the room and on the balcony (seating). There was a strong smell of cleaning products in the room. The room could use a bit of a refresh - paint was scuffed in several areas and it was difficult to access the coffee maker due to very little space. The water pressure in the shower was light so it took a while to thoroughly rinse my long-ish hair. At check-in they offer a choice of daily housekeeping or a basket of towels, coffee, toilet paper, etc. be left at the room. We liked that we had options! We chose a basket. We left our room at 8:30 and returned around 1 and we were happy to see the basket (bag) was by the door when we arrived. Unfortunately, the bag had only fresh towels, nothing else. Free breakfast offered good variety. No recycle bins in our room. Didn't notice any in the common areas either.

Oh my goodness! This is a wonderful Inn. Mary was so delightful! She was a wealth of information about the area, where to go and things to do. She was so much fun. Cheyanne was so kind and helpful also! The environment at this Inn is so peaceful. The room was not just clean and well kept, but absolutely stunning! The view of the harbor is breathtaking! Watching the ferry to Nantucket and all the sailboats in the harbor from the balcony, pool area, and fire pit was so relaxing. Nantucket ferry was an easy 2 block walk. So many shops and restaurants nearby, some walkable but many more an easy drive.
We will definitely stay here on our next visits.

Comfortable bed. Great location. Nice balcony overlooking harbor. Pet friendly. Complimentary wine and cheese, along with lemonade, coffee or hot chocolate nightly. Comfortable library to enjoy reading or meeting other guests. Heated pool. Firepit lit each night. Continental breakfast every morning. Sandy is truly the heart and soul of the property. She meets, greets, checks guests in, serves as bellman, concierge and hostess. She is a gem. Our only issue was the toilet wouldn't stop running. The parts were not readily available to repair. Sandy offered to move us to another room, but we declined. Would highly recommend this boutique hotel.

My husband and I and pet enjoyed our stay in Hyannis at the Anchor. The staff was truly exceptional - from front desk to house keeping. One felt at home in the common areas - kitchen, gathering room, sitting areas with views of the harbor, as well as pool area. We also had the opportunity to enjoy the gas fire pit in the evenings. Proximity to downtown and restaurants was ideal and travel was so much easier in September than peak summer months.
Most areas of the Anchor have been updated, but we were given a king room with a partial harbor view and a small balcony in the wing that has not been. The bathroom is in need of renovation; it is small and dated without proper safety features.

The location was great and in walking distance to everything. The breakfast is almost all pre-packaged food. That was disappointing. The room was ok. I expect extremely clean rooms and was disappointed that when I moved the table and a few items , there were ketchup stains that had not been cleaned.
I cleaned it and said nothing to the family.
The woman who greeted us the first night was extremely friendly . Her name was Mary😊

Very old property. I’m sure it was beautiful in its day. The outside property was pretty and landscaped. The rooms were dated, furnishings broken, moldy smell, bathrooms needed a desperate heavy duty cleaning. Floors needed sweeped. Crumbs under the desk area. Lots of extra fees we were not aware of. Pool area looked nice and fire pits outside. We didn't use any of that. Tried to get a map from the front desk. Nothing. No information about area available. Many times no front desk staff around to help. Breakfast was laden with carbs. You could walk to downtown. There was a little marina we walked around.

The property was well-maintained and nicely decorated. We spent a hot afternoon in the pool and enjoyed the harbor view. The room we stayed in was a double and was comfortable. There was one real problem, however, in that the bathroom had a very strong mildew smell. The odor was so strong that we had to keep the door closed and spend as little time in it as possible. We think the shower curtain was the source; we saw some mold and mildew spots on the bottom of it.

Great location in Hyannis. Room had lovely view and deck though we weren’t able to use because of nor’easter. Small dining area had a nice selection of snacks and a small breakfast. I would stay again when visiting. Our only knock was the mattress on the bed was very soft and could be changed out.

We really enjoyed our stay at Anchor In. The staff at the Reception Desk was super friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and well-equipped. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is also in a great location - walking distance to the harbor, good restaurant and museums. The free parking is also a plus. The one improvement I could suggest, would be to add a few more healthy options for the free continental breakfast that’s provided. For example / there’s already a toaster, so why not provide bread for toast (in addition to the bagels and sugary pastries provide).

We got there checked in the room. We got had a Jacuzzi in it specifically wanted that room was on the ground floor within an hour. We had to move out of that room because the people that were living above us had a dog and it sounded like it was coming through the ceiling, something should’ve been done about the animal we shouldn’t of had to move out of the room and did not get our Jacuzzi really put a damper on my birthday weekend
