The WiFi was terrible, the tv worked sometimes. The pool was decent expect when you would walk in the pool room and the cholorine burned your eyes as soon as you walked in and you couldn’t stay in the hot tub longer then 10 min.

Elevator smelled mildewy. Room 314. Smelled mildewy and stale- Carpet very stained. Wall mirror had broken hanger and was sitting on the floor. Bedroom cable slid into the wall so no tv in there for our stay. 32” flatscreens- Kitchenware old, bent, stained & scratched. Had microwave over the stove but another huge one on the only counter space in the kitchen. No useable space. Duvets were stained and the duvet covers were being used as bedspreads instead of the duvets being in them-weird. Staff was friendly, said they’d send maintenance up but no one ever showed. Sad because location is good, could be a very nice place with a little bit of effort, we bought cleaners and air fresheners, even put one in the elevator. Pool area was nice and we liked the adults only time- that’s always appreciated, Though advertised with limited room service and restaurant on site, restaurant closed and has obviously been closed for a minute-

Front desk staff at check in was extremely rude. By ocean view they mean you can see the trees that have overgrown the dunes. You can \"see\" the ocean but no waves no beach. Beach access is overgrown. The hot tub and pool are NOT 24/7 and adult swim is only 2 hrs. The rooms are from the 1970s no reason there's no pictures available of the rooms. Beds are sub par. Only good thing is a full kitchen.

My kids loved all the amenities and the park out back kept them busy after a day at the beach. It had everything we needed for a family of 5. Staff was friendly and helpful we just had to call down a couple times to get extra pillow and blankets. Other than that we had a great time. The pool and hot tub and sauna were great. Although the hot tub had something in the water that burned all our eyes and made my kids cough briefly. It was great distance from everything we needed and walking distance from the beach. Would deff stay again.

The Ol Polynesian is showing it's age....that said, was a perfect place to bring a family/kids. Loved the full kitchen, the pool (a bit chilly but to be expected), nice hot tub and the kids playground.

When we arrived our room was not available yet which we we early so I understood. Receptionist told me she’d call when it was ready which should have been no later than 4;00 check in. Waited till 5:00 never did she or anyone call. Our room was w view didn’t matter as the sliding door was so old dirty we couldn’t see thru it. The carpet was torn up into the dining area. Living room the carpet had a cluster of yellow stains . The bathroom door had food/blood all down it. Quite nasty! And was very clearly old tearing apart on bottom or the door cupboard all banged up. Booked a Double Queen room for 2 adults 2 kids. Made the reservation 5 months in advance. Once I arrived to do the check in, the desk person states my room was the “economy room”, which meant that it was a smaller room, with limited hot water, 10-12 min to use it all and then wait 20 minutes for the water to be hot again. That means, for the 4 of us, it took 2 hours for everyone to be showered… When we got inside the room, the room was dirty, fast food wrappers behind the bed and on the floor. The wifi didn’t reach the room, so it was unusable. Overall, pretty bad experience and I don’t recommend this hotel. Won’t stay again.

WiFi didn’t work in my room, wallpaper peeling, huge gap in door was letting cold air blow straight in. The cadet heater in the master was extremely loud, the other room heater kept shutting itself off. Reported it to a very friendly front desk staff who told me maintenance would contact me to get it fixed. That never happened. I know it’s a pet friendly hotel but I didn’t expect to have dog hair in my sheets from a previous tenant (I didn’t have a dog) there were also multiple urine stains in the master. The cable for some reason was very grainy and pixelated. My son liked the pool. The staff were kind and gave the appearance of caring. Possibly just maintenance failed.

The property looks pretty run down upon entry, but we were very impressed with the value for the money! I was not expecting to walk into a small condo with a separate bedroom & we were very pleasantly surprised. Nice little deck off the back, full kitchen with full size appliances. The beds were very comfy & so was the big, overstuffed couch. The pool was pretty crowded with families, which is to be expected, but they offer adults only from 10pm-midnight, which was very nice. Would definitely stay here again.

The check in was amazing and the customer service was above and beyond. We were able to check in early and stay an extra night. The room was not very clean at all. There were huge dust bunnies above our bed, bathroom had goo on wall and drawer. The coffee pot was dirty, just lots of not caring about the room cleanliness. The pool was not warm and not 80 as we were told. The hot tub was cloudy. The beach is down the trail but it’s a long way out there so yes there is access but it faster and easier just to drive down the road to it. The best part I’d say is the customer service.

My fam and I travel and stay at Ocean Shores often. We have our fav choise of Hotels, Polynesian was 1 of those choises. We always got in early before 4p check in, if rm is ready they always gave us keys. Last several times getting there before 4p they told us 4p checkin. I've seen customers get keys after coming in after us or heard desk calling to let them know rm is ready. I told my sister and her comment was if you book through Hotels, or Expidedia etc they will treat you second class vs if you book directly with the Hotel you get better service. The room gets a fire log we did not have one, my sister went and asked for one and the person at the desk said you did not get one because each rm comes with one, my sister Said we did nor get one the Person comment I guess I'll have to trust you. This is the 2nd time. The pool is always very cold. The room itself needs a lot of work, updated. We requested a \"ocean view\" we seen ships on the horizon. I will not allow my grand-son play let alone sit on carpet. Furniture badly worn out and dirty carpeting.

Look its an older place and just know its dog friendly and family oriented. If that's not for you don't stay here. I was amazed with what I got for the price! Will I stay again heck yeah! Booked a room for 4 people dog friendly room was what was offered with 2 bedrooms. It was clean and did not smell. Fully stocked 2 bedroom 1 1/2 bath fully stocked Apt setting. Omg the room! So I had booked before for Mothers Day at another place so you know what I did?! I changed to the Polynesian. Yeah baby! Husband went in hot tub it was not hot but warm. Im thinking because of kids access. So that was a little downer but what we got for the price was amazing. Beds comfy also and that's a big thing for me.

Room 311! A 1bedroom suite with a full kitchen and a view of the ocean. Comfy beds, clean, reasonably priced (we go in the office season) I love this place. I've stayed here several times and I'm never disappointed. The property is a little bit on the older side so there's some wear and tear. It's also family friendly.
They have some pet friendly rooms too!

It was OK this time, I wish I would've known we had an outside room as opposed to a hotel room. Everything was fine. Felt like I was living in 1983. It was clean enough but definitely could use a deep clean. It was mostly a surface clean. Probably wouldn't pay that much for that room again but it was the last week of clamming so you get what you get.

Very disappointed about the maintenance of the hotel. The door of the room is extremely difficult to open or close. Had to use strong force , entire body or kicking to open or close. I was concerned during fire emergency, would be very difficult to open the open the door while I am inside the room. Requested to change the room. The front desk clerk said they recently change the lock. All of the rooms are the same. It doesn’t help if they change room for us. I noticed they put a metal plate around the side of the door. It makes the door almost like jammed in between. My stay at the hotel was not as pleasant as I expected.

I was injured 4 years, I have an ESA dog that helps me stay calm due to constant pain that Knee Specialists from Srattle, Federal Way, Olympia on down to Salmon Creek, WA have found No CURE. This Polynesiam Resort refused to accept my RSA CERTIFIED DOG.They stated: WASHINGTON STATE doesn't recognize and accept them.\"
Not good policy for needy Medical people that I was recognized by.

Will never stay here again. When checking in with my service animal the check in guy who was older asked if my dog was certified and trained and I said yes. And he asked what task does he perform I said to recognize on coming panic attacks. Which the front desk man said that is not a real disability and they do not recognize emotional support animals. When trying to explain he wasn't he just kept brushing me off and talking over me. If all the other places weren't booked we would have left right then. But we said whatever and paid the fee for my service dog as well as my non service dog. Got to the room which smelt like cigarettes. The carpet was sticky. And the mattress had more hills and dunes than the Sahara. We tried to go the game room but the pool cues were already checked out but no one playing. They said there was a restaurant on site, but it was closed and up for lease. Room was small, you could hear everyone's children's and dogs. As well as the people above us must have been practicing for river dance.

Paid for a view room, was met with a slider glass panel with a blown seal that allowed half the ocean view to be seen.
Everything was threadbare and needed updating. Would have been nice to know the restaurant was closed indefinitely as well.
Rug was pulled away and ripped away from kitchen flooring. Rug was dirty and disgusting. Sheets/comforter felt the same. Trim and cabinets all needed paint and maintenance.
Over-all, quite disappointing.
Pictures are not an adequate representation of what you get at this place.
The chlorine smell from the indoor main level pool was overpowering on the 3rd floor. How does that happen?

We have a very fun stay. The kids loved it here. They have a good sized pool, but warning to adults. It is cold. Kids dont care but the rest of us shivered. Thankfully there is a hot tub to warm up in. They keep the place clean though rooms could use some updates. The employees are very friendly. I felt bad that they were so delayed in getting rooms ready for us. You could tell that they were trying really hard. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would go back. Side note, nothing to do with property really, but the walk to the beach when the weather has been rainy is pretty confusing and at times flooded. You will have to find logs to walk over. It might just be easier to drive on down to the beach and park on the sand.

The location did not offer a beach view.
There are trails behind the property that lead toward the beach, but we were told by another family that the path had been washed out and was very difficult to walk through.
The check-in experience could have been better—the staff member lacked hospitality and didn’t make us feel very welcome.
Room cleanliness was a major issue. There was noticeable dust on the blinds, bedposts, and even the ceiling. At first, I thought I was getting sick, but it turned out to be my allergies reacting to the dust.
Additionally, we were told to wait about twenty minutes before taking a second shower, which was inconvenient.
Overall, the stay was disappointing and did not meet expectations.

We booked an economy room and quickly learned why. It was clean but the furniture was old and scratched up. There is only hot water capacity for one quick shower at a time, the door, handle and lock took special attention to get it to close and work. Curtains and bedspread were way past their life expectancy. It was nice to have a pool, hot tub and sauna. Also, very happy to have a guest laundry facility.

Arrived at the property just before 9pm and had to wait 30 minutes for the one person working there to get back from lunch to check me in. Nothing worse than driving for 4 hrs, finally making it to the hotel and then having to sit in the car and wait to get settled in. Also there wasn't enough hot water for two people to take a shower back to back. On a positive note the hotel was conveniently located 5 minutes from the clamming beach. I did enjoy the game room and retro video games and the hot tub was clean.

I stayed here over 40 years ago and NOTHING has changed except it's dirty. This Resort is so old and needs updates. I can't believe it's never been done. The rooms needs some serious deep cleaning. There were crumbs under the mattress on the box springs. The mattresses probably have never been replaced and the bathroom floors need to be cleaned. Really sad how things have gone down hill

Having to wait over an hour to check in past the 4PM checkin time when everyone is checked out by 11am is pretty wild. The rooms are nice. You want to try to get 3rd floor for sure. The parking could be bad when the restaurant opens up again. We don't plan on staying here again.
