We had a nice view of the water from the third floor. Room was clean and bed comfy. Fans and breeze from the windows served as air conditioning. Disappointed there was no continental breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. Older hotel was maintained well. Not sure we will be back.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was pretty subpar. The carpet was in very poor condition, and lots of active (hopefully) drywall/paint repairs were in progress. Also we had to change outlets for the mini fridge as the one it was plugged into wasn’t working and caused the freezer to be melting/leaking water on the floor. A clean outdated room doesn’t bother me, but rooms needing repairs, and being used to accommodate me in the meantime doesn’t seem like good practice. I frequent Westport often during the summer, so will likely try again at some point. Maybe I just got the one bad room. If it wasn’t for the exceptional staff, I would probably write this one off.

I would go back 100 times for the location and how quiet it is. Staff is limited so make sure to check with hotel if you're coming in late. It's an older building so not as comfortable with AC at times but I LOVE that there is basketball, a pool, and an easy walk to the beach. Deer are out and views are amazing.

This chateau definitely could use some improvements. With their staffing, their amenities, etc. (or else they should probably reduce their prices by about half). I’ve worked cruise lines in a number of positions by now and I know that with the right leadership or more appropriate staffing they could do a better job. Our stay went okay overall. There’s definitely evidence that this resort was once a great destination and I believe there’s still hope it could be restored to it’s former glory someday.

I would not come back… I don’t mean to be harsh but for $200 a night this place was disappointing. The property is old and poorly kept, and slightly dirty. Thankfully the room was cleaner than the main lobby, but the walls were incredibly thin. We could hear everything. Not to mention our room was across the pool area,,, so it was very noisy. I would not recommend. There are better options for the price we paid.

The best first: the king bed was very good, and there were plenty of parking spaces; I'm not sure there were more than three rooms occupied in the whole place. This was July; everybody else must have been clued in.
The worst: no staff at desk, no one answering phones, even during check in time in the half day it was said to be staffed. After 5 trips to check, we found a very snippy young woman totally uninterested in solving our problems and advising that if we had read expedia we'd have discovered that the exercise room was unavailable and that we'd be charged the resort fee anyway because the pool we weren't going to use was open.
The towel rack in the bathroom was ripped out of the wall leaving no place to hang towels.
The bathroom door hit the toilet and whoever was on it. No grab bars and the shower floor was slippery.
A continuous low level beeping the whole visit--like a phone off the hook in another room. Continuous obnoxious music in the lobby area, 24 hours.
The sign on the coin-operated (quarters only) laundry room said it was open at 9 am; the staff person (when we found one) said no, it would only open at 10.
This is the worst service and accommodation we've experienced in our last 30 years of extensive travel worldwide. It not a last "resort" and you do not want to plan a wedding or event here if you care about your guests. It is a worn-out facility and failing enterprise that hotels.com should rethink listing.

Literally didn’t encounter a human on the hotel staff at any point in my stay, including during check in and check out. Room was only partially painted. Inside walls and elevator and decor were falling apart - outside both the building and decor were dilapidated. Appeared to have been sitting untouched since the 1960s.

For the price, we were very happy. Kids loved the pool and kids zone. Our room was close since we had a dog room. Wonderful grounds and amenities. The hot tub is broken and the room was not very clean - not finished painting and there was coffee spilt all over the baseboards and lots of dust everywhere. The rooms also face the end of day sun and there is no air conditioning and only tiny fans so it was very hot and we had to sleep with the door open most of the night. Overall, very happy and will be back again!

Close to the ocean, and close to town. our room had a view of the back parking lot and the ocean. Waters hot.

A few cool arcade games like marvel vs capcom. Ping pong table. Foosball.

Swimming pool goes from 3 to 5 to 8ft.

Clean room. Staff were great. Two parking lots one in front of the resort and one in the back. Front desk snack prices were normal prices not upcharged.

Less than 10 minutes away from twin harbor state park to go razor clamming.

Great place altogether would stay again. Family and adult friendly.

My reasoning for such a low star rating is because of the issues we ran into. The first night we arrive at 4pm. Get to our room, our tv does not work. Front desk told us, yeah we had issues with that tv last time also and she was hoping they would just get a new tv, she gave us some batteries and said that she would have maintenance look at it tomorrow.

We had an early outing the next day at 6am so we thought they would just go in and fix it because the front desk person is not in that early. They did not, we called during the day and she told us maintenance was not there and couldn’t get a hold of them so we had to stop during our day and go to the hotel, where they had my husband go move the tv from our room to a different room and move another tv into our room because maintenance was not around!!!!

We also, had our daughter and grandkids come rent a room here as well because of the heated pool. Well the heated pool is only heated to like 55 degrees. Our grandkids wouldn’t even get in it was so cold.

On the last night we found ants in our bathroom and kitchenette area but front desk was already gone for the night. When we checked out, there was no front desk person, just a note saying drop keys in key box. So nobody around to tell about this.

It is a nice area, quick walk to the beach and love the wood burning fireplace.

The check in lady was super friendly and helpful. I really liked her. One reason why we stayed there was because of the pool but it was shut down because they were waiting on a part or something but it wasn’t noted on their site. The rooms are super small. We have dogs and that was the main reason for staying there. The noise insulation was pretty bad too.

Love this little cottage feel to the room had a wood-burning fireplace that you could burn wrapped Presto logs in and they supply you with one every evening, extremely clean, perfect little kitchen, very roomy balcony, and staff was very welcoming! The only thing I did not like is Expedia said it was 14 minutes away from Ocean Shores, and it was an hour away. But that was on Expedia and not the motel.

Walls are paper thin leading to zero privacy, hotel was almost empty but everyone was put into rooms in the same wing/floor so we heard everything. Outlet with CO detector didn’t work, fire alarm in the hallway beeped nonstop, front desk person was rarely there, and we were charged a $19.95 per night resort fee even though the pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance and we had no extra amenities.

The one staff member i interacted with was GREAT.
The noise in the hotel as well in the parking lot did last longer than it should've. With no staff around to help with this, it went on and on.

The power was out .there was a tree fallen in the road so we could hardly drive in. No power and a noce hig hotel like that cant even get a generator to keep the place with heat and minimal lights. That was awful. Andntotally unsafe. So cold at night i was afraid my onfant was going to get seriously ill and sick. Thhat olace was horrible . No body was at the front desk at 8 am the next day even. It was pathetic. The whole rest of the town had power by then and they couldnt even go at 8am to turn on the power for everyone when i was told from the gas station the power had come back at 3 am

The hotel is huge and beautiful. Rooms are clean. The people were very friendly and helpful. We did have couple of plug ins that didn't work , so we couldn't do coffee or use bathroom wall plug. We had a fire place in our room. Real wood. Very different but gives you a step back in time feel that I love. Our bed was extremely firm and I questioned if it was a queen. Just seems on smaller side. But that might be just me. Had a balcony with some views of the oceans. Was able to watch sunset. Close to beach and town so best of both worlds there. Our room was near the elevator, not overly noisy but not a room you want. People do stand and talk right out of your room at times all hours so if your a light sleeper this room would not work for you.

Out of 5 different hotels we stayed in on our trip last week this was by far the worst. Red Roof SeaTac was way better as well as Ocean Star Inn in Sequim.
