We stayed there for one night and the people in the room next to us were fighting heavily. They were banging things around, hitting each other, cussing, slamming their door over and over again and screaming outside. This went on for about 2 hours midnight- 2am and we called the after hours telephone number and they did not answer. We ended up having to the call the cops.
Other then that it would’ve be fine, but this place was unfortunately unresponsive.

The front desk worker was awesome. So friendly and helpful. The room was large and clean, and kitchenette was so cute. It would have been nice to have screens on the windows for protection against bugs and people, but otherwise. Really great place to stay, convenient, well-priced, two heated pools....very nice!!!

It was equipt with everything you need for comfort, but the items are OUTDATED, meaning lack of newer items and decorations and bad smell in the rooms. Never seen and inn and suites thats terrible and would not recommend it. I would like this place to have newer items and decorations and feel like your at home not living with most of the items that are old and outdated.

I read several bad reviews about this place, but my family and I had a great experience. I knew going into it that I booked a 2-star hotel, so I wasn’t expecting a luxury suite. Our one-bedroom room w/kitchen was very spacious - like a small apartment - had all the amenities I needed, was clean, and my kids enjoyed the indoor pool quite a bit. Don’t confuse old with dirty. It might be a bit rundown, but everything worked properly, room was quiet, and the beds were comfy…that’s all I really needed. Staff was also very friendly and I saw workers constantly cleaning and maintaining grounds during our 2-night stay. For the price, I would definitely stay again.

Ocean Shores Inn & Suites is a great location near all of the primary Ocean Shores attractions! The staff was attentive and welcoming, very pleasant to interact with. Check-In and Check-Out were easy and quick.

That said, the room lacked any cooling or AC/Fans, but did seem to have heating, but it was already pretty hot so we didn't try turning the heat on. The walls were very thin when it came to sound. We stayed in a ground floor studio and could hear each other inside the restroom very easily and with no fans, even as ventilation for the restroom, it was a little awkward. The bedding had a few stains on the exterior comforter/top sheet, nothing too grotesque or in prominent placement, but definitely noticeable. The tub/shower were in rough shape, having a few spots where the enamel had worn away and the caulking had either not been done properly or the wrong type of caulk had been used because it had started turning a brown color that is not common in most places. The bed also only came with 2 somewhat thin pillows for a 2 person reservation.

All of that aside, had the price been a little lower my expectations would've been met, but since this seemed like hotel pricing I think I was expecting more when it came to cleanliness and quality of furnishings.

I'd stay again if I'd heard things had improved, but will more likely try another location in the future.

The hotel room was crappy. The room had fleas and the deck next to ours had 5 piles of dog poop on it so sitting outside on the balcony was not an option. The televising and WiFi was very poor we couldn’t even watch a movie. I was very disappointed.

It was affordable and had everything we needed. We needed a room with a refrigerator and microwave. They have 13 channels to choose from on the TV. That's ok we were busy doing other things. The beach is conveniently located across the street. Short walk to the beach and to town.

How bad could it possibly be?

You might be asking yourself this question as you browse these reviews hoping to find some truth in and amongst the subjective experiences of people with certain expectations. I ask for very little in a motel: a place to rest one's head for the night. Somehow this establishment failed to even provide that.

What should have been my first red flag were all the reviews mentioning mold. \"Surely these people must be overreacting to a small corner\" I thought. Not so for indeed the entire ceiling of the bathroom was speckled with that unmistakable black mold that so many of us have known from substandard living spaces. Thankfully, one doesn't sleep in the bathroom, but that brings us to the bed.

I have slept rough before, but this tops them all. Namely, a foam rubber topper over the world's most put upon mattress providing a sleeping surface so hot and uneven that Frank Gehry would look to it for inspiration. After two hours of lying in the worst bed on Earth, I resigned to stay up the night.

I will not be returning to this establishment under any circumstances, and I advise you stay away as well. The price is simply not worth it.

We arrived and they sent us to a room that was not cleaned and the beds had all been slept in. I called for assistance and they said “well it says it was cleaned”. In a room that sleeps 6, we had 4 towels, and 4 pillows for two queen beds. And there’s no way the room sleeps 6 unless you brought a cot. They advertise that there is a stocked kitchen, however the pots and pans and appliances were all in rough shape. The bathrooms were dirty on the floors. When we went to the front desk to ask for more towels and pillows we were given ONE pillow. Because they were out of pillows. The towels were very small and incredibly thin. There are two pools onsite and no pool towels. The staff were friendly but not very helpful. And the whole property looks run down with rooms that don’t even have closing doors. Even the windows don’t have screens. If I had another place to stay, I would have left because this was not as advertised. The pictures from the website are NOTHING like the actual property. Even the ice machine didn’t work. Clearly they are doing some remodeling in some rooms, but overall the place was unacceptable.

They had to us a crow bar for 30 mins to open the front door and the fridge didnt work. We had 2 small children and needed the put our food in a frige. Very fowl smell, it took my family to come and demand a decent rm for my family of 4. And they changed our room late at night finally when my kids were going to bed. Very run down motel

The faucet, showerhead and controls were wiggling and not secured to the wall. Rust everywhere it could be on every metal surface, sink handle came off/was loose, mold all over the unit on the ceilings and walls. Window opened but no screen. Black widow spiders making a spider web every night across the door. Curtains don't give full privacy, towels are small and stained, returned multiple that still had stains after requesting new ones. Fridge was failing so it was really loud all night. Door to get through area for multiple units was difficult to open and slammed any time someone used it, very frequently. Big mistake staying here

Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. While the check-in process began on a positive note, the front desk staff was friendly and the presence of lounging cats added a unique charm. The sheets were clean and it’s close to the beach. However, theoverall environment quickly became concerning. As I made my way to the room, there were noticeable and unpleasant odors on each floor: the hallway smelled strongly of marijuana, the second floor of vinegar, and the third floor had a musty scent. The entire hotel needs renovation, it’s old and they aren’t trying to hide it. Upon entering the room, the odor was overwhelming. There was no air conditioning or fan, and though we attempted to air it out by opening the windows, there were no screens, or other methods to lock it for safety, which raised additional concerns. The mattress was so old that I sunk down way too deep and I never felt I could comfortably take off my shoes. What ultimately led to my decision to leave was witnessing an individual a few doors down openly smoking substances other than weed from a soda can. At that point, I chose to check out and seek accommodations elsewhere. The towels are old, worn, and dingy like the whole property. This hotel is worth $70 at best per night and that’s being generous. Based on this experience, I would not choose to stay at this property again. Good luck to you if you choose this destination.

Last minute booking. Ick. Ick. Ick. Bathroom heater didn't work. All hard floors so freezing. Beds were not beds, they were cheaply built plywood slabs. Very uncomfortable mattresses. Very few TV channels. Had to put the coffee pot on the chair to work as there were no sockets anywhere else down low. Then we saw the state of the packets and changed our mind. Damp nasty things. The door looked like it had been kicked in... Several times. The whole place gave me the heebie jeebies, I was waiting for a hooker to knock on the door. Oh and no elevator.
The only lovely thing was the front desk woman. She was fabulous and needs to work at a nice 5 star hotel because of her wonderful personality. She is wasted there.

The room was for up to 4 people. It had a kitchenette. Only 1 cup, no glasses, 2 forks, 2 spoons, no bath or hand soap, no extra toilet tissue. I think we could count ever bed spring. Beds were two different heights. The bath would not plug and no safety bars/ handles. Will not stay again and will not recommend.

The light in the kitchen was out, the water was not hot when showering and the stove took a while to heat up. Towels looks unclean due to being brown when the towels is supposed to be white. This was the worst place I ever stayed at. Checked in went to our room and it was stinky and disgusting. Girlfriend tried to take a shower and there was no hot water. Call the office and complained and wanted my money back so I could go somewhere else but they said because I booked through Expedia he was not able to refund me. He moved me to one of his freshly renovated rooms. It was better but not great and had cockroaches. There are homeless people wandering around the building at night. I would not recommend anyone to stay here no matter how cheap it is. Pay a little extra and go somewhere else, anywhere else!

Our neighbors were loud, routy and arguing until 5 in the morning night one. The walls were thin and we heard EVERYTHING.

Beds weren't bad for being a cheaper hotel. I've slept on much worse. The pillows were paper thin though so if you like fluff, bring your own. Heat/temperature was overall good. Water pressure in the shower was awful. Several things were broken, a table leg was falling off, a stove burner didn't work, part of the couch was wobbly. Overall most of the furniture felt like one good windstorm would ruin all of it. We found a dead slug under the couch and the kitchen sink was dripping. We were on a tight budget and for what we paid, you get what you get but we have stayed at this hotel multiple times and never had an experience quite this bad.

Staff was polite and immediately wrote down problems as we shared them.

This is a budget hotel and you can tell they're in the process of renovations. It was very quiet, very affordable. It is your typical budget beach hotel. We didn't swim in the pool but upon checking it out you could tell it was very well cared for. Sparkling clean, no overpowering chlorine smell.

I'll be honest, the hotel is kind of weird and funky, but that's what we liked about it! Great location for access to the beach and stores. Nice staff.

Check in was great, attentive, and helpful. The room was cheap for a reason. Bottom floor, cold, noisy. Zero sound barrier. Pretty sure the bathroom circuit isn't grounded. Not a very thick blanket, so the noisy smelly heater had to work all night.
Great crisp towels, hot shower, clean enough. Probably won't stay here again.
