If you want a place at Ocean Shores with a full kitchen, totally equipped, clean and comfortable accommodations, conveniently located walking distance from grocery store and other shopping, an easy walk to the beach and even a view of the water, the Grey Gull is the place to stay. As always the Grey Gull did not disappoint in beautiful location, staff and all round amenities. As a 20 plus year returning customer who usually books a one bedroom, this time I opted for studio on the upper floor. The porch is not private if there is someone staying in room next door. Instead of a solid privacy divider, it is wide slats providing little privacy from other rooms balcony. My only complaint is that you do not know this prior to booking as most other rooms have private balconies or patios. I would still give Grey Gull a 10!

First, the room was absolutely clean and I loved how pet friendly this was. However, there is not someone at the front desk after 10 pm for complaints about noisy dogs. The furniture was falling apart due to age and the bed was like laying on concrete. This property definitely is due for some TLC.

Not every room is identical but room 214 was perfect size for our family of 4; it even has a large deck. Kitchen did not have any spices but I kinda prefer it that way, feels more clean to me without them. Couldn’t make it to the beach from hotel because of significant standing water over the trail, assume you’d be able to make it more towards summer months.

We have been to Ocean Shores many times over the last 22 years. In the past we have stayed at other hotels that are very close by. This was our first stay at the Grey Gull due to others were full. Turns out this one was way more reasonably priced then the others and it was on a clam dig weekend. The room was nice and even had a separate bedroom which I did not notice when I booked it. We love the Grey Gull! Room 204 is perfect for 2 people, comfy recliners too just lean back and listen to the waves hit the shore. The staff are ALWAYS friendly and informative. Make sure you grab breakfast at Ocean Beach Roasters or Our Place. We spent a long weekend in between Thanksgiving and Christmas, truly the perfect getaway!

A weekend getaway for my birthday! So happy we chose the Grey Gull. Very friendly staff, easy check in, beautiful cozy room with a fireplace and gorgeous view of the sunset. The luggage cart in the lobby was a lifesaver with my husband and I both recovering from injuries and unable to carry things. We could easily take all our belongings to our room without having to carry them upstairs. Had an amazing stay and our dog was comfy and happy as well.

Our suite smelled like urine. I talked to the office and was told they would add a note to shampoo the room after our stay. They did not offer any resolution. We simmered coffee all of the time to be able to stay in the room. Super disappointed to spend my birthday like that.

The hot tub's temperature is very warm. The sauna is a wonderful amenity, especially after razor clamming. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen is fully stocked. The beds are comfy. I've stayed here three times and would return. The front desk staff have all been helpful and nice.
