Prior to arrival I received a text message welcoming me and to reply if I had any questions. I replied but did not receive a response. Check in and check out went smooth. That's the highlight of the entire 2-night trip.

TV did not work. Phone did not have a cable connected to it. Cockroach in room. Although only esthetics; the entire room and bathroom had patches in door and walls and several types of damage on furniture and walls.

Breakfast was not as displayed on the Orbitz site. Breakfast only had 3 food items: white bread, small cheap muffins and 2 types of cold cereal. The receptionist stated hot meals (waffles) were only during the weekends.

The early morning receptionist stated she had heard the cockroach complaint before but not the other issues. She said she could not help me with the room issues and the next employee would have to handle it. I had appointments to make and couldn't wait for the next employee.

Later that evening I spoke with the new receptionist and all she would offer me was to change rooms. I asked about a discount, and she said I had to bring in up with the Manager. She gave me a card for the manager (email only) and stated I needed to send an email. I was skeptical since I did not receive a response to my text the day before.

With only one night remaining, I felt it was too much trouble to have to pack everything up to move to another unknown room.

So this is an independent owned location. When I was there on the day after check in met the property owner. He was a nice enough gentleman very cordial I had met him because he came down to my room in about 12:30 to tell me I needed to leave. We spoke and he understood that I did electrical work and had asked me if I could look at a couple of things for him. Again very nice very gracious person over the course of 3 days or three nights and four days I offered to do some electrical work at which time he said if I needed to stay I could. Again very gracious while I was there over the course of those few days you became a parent to me that this is a fixer upper to say the least and one that should not be in operation right now. I would imagine that there were possibly 60 units of the 60 I do not know if any of them were livable. I was in room 117 and over the course of my stay I provided a new bathroom bedroom bathroom bedroom door lock install the new charge to the property I also developed a horrible case of bug bites. I inquired with other person now that we're staying there / working there as it turns out the majority of the staff daily staff or hourly staff are residents that are unable to pay their cost is mind-boggling to see how that situation is resolved. Long story short I can't even say this place has potential

It may be unique to this particular night, but as I returned to my room about 11:30 pm, there was constant noize from one of the rooms next door - as thought construction was going on (which is not likely) but it was very noisy - doors slamming, loud voices, etc.

I was able to fall asleep but it was annoying.

Otherwise, room was clean, staff was pleasant.

Horrible service. I hope no one goes to this location. If you book something here, you will not get what you paid for. They have false advertisement on expedia. I booked the room for 5 with two queen beds and sofa bed for kids. Instead the management said we can only give you accommodation for 4 people. They wanted to charge me extra for roll up bed. I had to call the police after which they changed my room. The shower wasn’t working in the new room. Had to call maintenance to fix that. I can’t believe Super 8 has allowed this management to use their name. I would never go to a super 8 again. Best of luck if you plan to stay here.

I looked for affordable lodging near the highway to stop into during a very long trip I was making. Online this hotel looked nice, and had breakfast included. I went ahead, reserved it and paid online. When I got there it didn't look as nice as shown online. But since I had already paid it online I figured there was no way to change my mind. So I went ahead and stayed.

Although the room itself, beds, and bathroom and tv were ok and seemed clean, a cockroach was literally walking on the bed cover.

The guests that seem to be living there consistently are very shady looking, there seems to be drug use and they're standing around in the stairways and parking lot and sometimes being loud.

I did not feel safe going out of the room to my car. I brought everything in from the car, because I didn't feel it was safe to leave them in the car.

In the morning I went to supposedly have breakfast but there was a lonely empty room with with no one there and barely anywhere to sit, it almost looked like a semi-storage room. There was a few muffins or packaged cold pastries and coffee. Very basic, not enticing at all. Will not go back to a Super 8 by Whyndam again.

Enjoyed seeing family and beds were clean but floor was sticky and dirty ( yes carpet!) And we heard a drug deal while packing up. The same people were loud all night and hotel staff called at midnight asking us to not hang up the phone, just leave it off the hook for 30 minutes.

Staff was friendly. Breakfast was just small muffins, cereal, no milk, coffee and toast. My husband and I felt unsafe because of the area, a lot of people walking around at all hours of the day/night. Had a lot of people ask for money and cigarettes. Hotel room we stayed in was recently renovated. It was nice.

If you're thinking about booking here, DONT!!!! I checked in at 5:40pm and was checked out by 5:45pm same day. As soon as i walked in the room, i started itching and got punched in the face by an horrible smell. The blankets had holes, yhe white sheets looked like someone bleed on it & they just washed. The only nice thing i can say is they had a nice little pool the looked cleaned

The fact that the entry light was unplugged when I got to the room, had to get manager to figure out the problem and upon checking the room the toilet wobbled and the fixtures were rusted. The breakfast consisted of some stale cereal and milk that was sitting on the counter unrefrigerated.

I had two rooms and my kids room had bed bugs. They got up and finished drive to Florida in middle of night so they didn't wake me. However, when I told the staff he just smiled and shook head. He did not seem to understand english. VERY dirty room. Run down. Door on our bathroom was disgustingly dirty and damaged. Door to room barely closed could see the light from outside door all the way around door frame as it had serious leaks. NEVER will stay there again!

This would definitely NOT be a place I would stay again. The room stank like dead skunk. There were no cups in the room and no washcloths. The door to the bathroom had several large holes (one repaired). The sink faucet spurted water everywhere if you turned it at a certain angle which probably accounted for the black mold behind the faucet. The shower also needed a mildew scrubbing. The water took a very long time to warm up—it was barely warm until the end of my shower even though I had it at full hot. The sign outside advertises breakfast and there was no breakfast. The bed had the equivalent of two sheets on the bed for warmth. Yes, the rooms looked updated, but it still wasn’t worth the stay.

Room was a good size but all the advertised facilities were out of action. No breakfast provided because waiting for health authorities to allow them to open kitchen up again. Laundry facilities were out of action, as was the hair dryer in the room. And swimming pool was covered over. Bathroom had a door that didn't shut without giving it a good shoulder barge. And not the cleanest (the hair on the tap instantly put me off! ).

I would like to share my honest experience staying at Super 8.
1. While staying at this Super 8, I felt scary about atmosphere.
2. Blanket was smelly.
3. Air conditioner was broken when I got into the room, but I requested to fix.
4. The front dest person was not kind.
5. Advertising that breakfast would be offered, but they didn’t. I told the person working front dest that was not right because that is cheat. Then he changed his word. He said, ‘The breakfast will be offered at 9.’
So, my experience? I will never go back to that place anymore.

Very Pleased With Our Stay

soon as we arrived we had a great visit. Check in was a fast smooth process, the property was nice and clean with plenty security cameras around the business. I got 2 rooms and both of the smelled fresh walking thru the door. The towels and bed clothes was clean not dingy looking. This was a 4 day family trip and we enjoyed our stay the beds was very comfortable also.

The room was outdated and found a roach in the bedroom. Tv didn't work called front desk and they sent the manager. He showed up with no shoes and looked like he was cracked out. Didn't even want to leave the room until checkout because it felt like if I did I would get robbed. It stated breakfast but when I called the front desk there wasn't any. Don't ever stay in this hotel!!!!

Nothing like the pictures. There were holes punched in the bathroom doors and walls. The area is ghetto. The sheets weren’t changed and had cigarette burns on them. They don’t have a pool or breakfast. The staff was nice though.

The bed was uncomfortable. I reserved 2 rooms and they both was king suite with the big tub in them. When I got to the hotel to check in that night I did not get those rooms. I asked the front desk staff and he told me I did not reserve the room I had reservations for. They had pictures under the description of the rooms and I clicked on the one with the big tubs. I was also told that they do not have jacuzzi rooms and the next morning I seen the housekeeper cleaning those rooms up.

Our room was obviously, hopefully, under renovation. Should no thave been rented out. Large sheetrock repairs in wall unpainted. Bathroom pretty desperate.To top it off, the place was pretty empty.
Basically a cheap, very no frills motel that did not live up to the description on the website. Overpriced for what it offered. This was a $39.99 a night room. No higher price.

The staff was super nice. I checked out early in the morning and drove to our cabin in the Smokey Mountains. That evening, the manager called and told me they found my credit card in our room. He took my address and said he'd send it. I never closed the card and it was in my mailbox several weeks later when we finally returned home. Thank you!

I requested a suite and paid and was given a regular king room. The man said he was out of suites but the prices were the same and didn't give me any of my money back. The ice machine was broken and the comforter had holes in it. The furniture was outdated and looked horrible. I won't be going back!!!
