Perfect location, just a 3-minute walk from Taksim Square. There is also a bus stop and a metro station nearby, so it’s very easy to get to any part of the city. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. I will certainly choose this place again on my future trips to Istanbul.

Alease (spelling?) from the hotel helped us arrange airport transfer and when our flight was late he communicated with us until we were picked up. Very welcoming and helpful once we arrived. Hotel is in a great location close to Taksim square where there are tons of shops and restaurants on roads off of the square. It’s a basic property on a side street but it’s comfortable and clean. We’d definitely book again.

My stay at hotel Roco was excellent. The staff was very helpful with all of my needs and they are also very kind. It was easy to walk around to the nearby shops and restaurants. It was also very cheap to take a taxi to places such as the Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar.

We had a great experience at Roco hotel. The location is perfect and the staff was very nice and friendly, always ready to help. They also helped us book a Semazen show with a discounted rate which was highly appreciated. I recommend staying at Roco and will definitely go back again.

This hotel is totally in poor condition. Toilet bidet not working, shower head damaged, wardrobe out of order and light comes inside even at night room doesn’t become dark. So many issues with the condition. No phone in the room, no service whatsoever. Walls and floors totally transfer the noise and even a normal walk from upstairs can be heard loudly. Area is absolutely the worst location in Taksim area, messy, dirty and unsafe.
On top of that, the receptionist banged on my door loudly trying to fix an issue that was due to his negligence. Stressed me out by knocking on the door aggressively. Tried to cancel the booking but they didn’t accept. Left the hotel, booked another place and couldn’t get any money back for another 6 nights that I wasn’t using the room. Worst hotel experience I have ever had. Please help yourself and book something more decent. This ruined my trip.

The hotel is in a great condition, very well located, walkable. The room waa clean and beautiful. You find a lot of places close by to eat and go for drinks. There is a bus you can take from IST Airport that take you like two bloks away from the hotel, so, very easy to get there from the airport, no need to pay a taxi. There were two guys at the reception desk by the moment we arrived, they were very kind and helpful, very informative about the aerea around. Their names are Aris and Onur, very nices guys. I do recommend the hotel very very much.

We had booked a stay in this beautiful hotel for three, last September to stay for this July. To my horror I had made a mistake with the booking dates. I must say the kind service from Aris at this hotel could not have been any better! He looked after my mistake, while I was about to get on an aeroplane and ensured he would find us accommodation at this beautiful hotel, for the days I should have booked (a week later).
The room was very spacious & clean, Aris offered us tea & coffee on arrival, and was the perfect gentleman, given my error.
I can’t fault this service & thank Aris for making our first stay in Istanbul a smooth one. :-)

Very nice hotel 1 min walk from Taksim square. Ideal for solo travellers. Neighbourhood felt very safe. Bed very comfortable with clean linen. Room serviced daily. Bathroom in my room was very small but clean enough and ideal for a quick shower. Friendly gent on reception was genuinely interested how I found my stay on checkout. Great hotel and one of the cheapest in the area for the quality).

Clean, small hotel in handy location

Roco is a small hotel amongst many others in the Taksim area. The location is good for access to Taksim Square & the top of Istiklal Street and only a few blocks from the Havabus to the airports. This is the reason we chose to spend our last night in istanbul. The room is spacious & clean but the bathrooms very small, especially the shower. It was clean and the amenities provided were good. The bed was on the soft side but still comfortable. There was a small balcony in our room for those who wish to smoke. The rooms in Roca have very high wooden ceilings & this is our only complaint. You can hear every footstep above you not to mention luggage being rolled along or put into place. The noise is amplified by the ceiling height. The staff were very friendly. There are a number of small markets very nearby and across the street is a open air snacks/cafe which sells all manner of edible goodies. Their cheese toasties are basic but tasty. So, apart from the noise coming from the room above, Roco is not a bad place to stay but there are dozens of these small hotels in the area. Competition is fierce.

I stayed here during the Champions League final and it was perfect for a few days. Rooms are nicely decorated, spacious , air con, charging points by the bed (my pet hate when this isn’t thought about!), nice shower (albeit tiny bathroom, but fully equipped nonetheless), but above all quiet! It’s only a few metres from all the action in Taksim Square, but you’d never know. The building is a lovely old town house, and the room I stayed in was around the back overlooking the backs of houses, so absolutely no street noise. You’d never have known there was a 24 hour party taking place about 50m away! The hotel also arranged my taxi to and from the airport, it worked out about the same price as an Uber and you pay the hotel direct, it made it very easy (UEFA take note-it’s not that hard to organise transport!). Overall a great stay, would I have been so happy if City hasn’t won? Yeah probably! Bars are open 24/7 and serve food all day and night too (a good job too because UEFA didn’t get us back until 4am and we hasn’t eaten anything in 14 hours). We had a great time and the food is generally excellent in this area, with loads of places to choose from. Overall, excellent area, excellent little hotel.
