The Parma Hotel Taksim

Perfect central location just 2mins walk from the airport bus stop and a further 2mins walk to Taksim square and the metro. The hotel offered a superb & substantial breakfast - great to start the day. The rooms were comfortable and the pool & spa were great. The restaurant did not offer a dinner service and there was no bar but there were plenty of options to dine & drink nearby.

This is not 5 star Hotel.Manager Onur Demiralay very rude.When problem occurred he took it personally and his attitude was very agressive and rude.When I told him that he supose to be polite and listen to the guests he told me i am not the one who will teach him how to behave.He said this is free country and if you dont like this hotel you can go.Very ,very rude.Avoid this hotel because is very expensive and not 5 star hotel.

The noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in my life ! The staff was not that helpful. I and my mom were allocated into the smoking room despite our initial request for non-smoking one . Moreover the room was just opposite the elevator so that we could hear all people getting into and out . So we had sleepless nights . When we asked to change the room we were offered a similar one on the upper floor .

The Parma’s location is its greatest asset, however it should be rated as a 4* hotel instead. The reception staff seems indifferent and the overall facilities are basic. For example, at arrival, I was simply asked for my passport without even a hello or welcome. It was very transactional! You get a feeling that no one will go out of their way to make your stay more pleasant. There’s no menu in rooms for room service. You have to call and they bring it up to you and stand there while you decide. I was told that I couldn’t keep a copy in the room. Strange! So many little things like this that add up to a good 4* hotel but nowhere near a 5* property.

Central Islanbul hotel

Hotel is overpriced for what it is, but I have 2 main complaints :

1. The music from the Irish bar starts at 10;30 and goes on until 04:30. it is VERY loud and might as well forget about getting any sleep !

2. Wanted to get some information regarding the BUDO ferry to Bursa, but reception were directing me to a completely different port. Thought they would at least know there are regular ferries from Eminonu to Mudanya.

3. Breakfast was very poor - no juices available and there is no bar area to sit and have a drink.

I accidentally forgot to turn off my \"do not disturb\" sign and my room was not cleaned for for whole day. They take privacy very seriously..........

Hotel location is good.whike unfortunately the facility provided by staff is not in line with five star hotels. I have reach the hotel at 20:30 no.one staff came with us to guide you about the facilities either in the room or the hotel .Furthermore no one provide us the password for internet. I have asked about ea h and every thing while such inquiries should be resolved since beginning.

At the end the hotel is not in line with five stars hotels at all . I will not separated or recommended to.any one.

Worst reception i've ever seen in my life

The hotel receptionist was as rude as it could be , his tone , his replies , we got at the hotel aat 12 pm been told that the check in is at 2pm , so we walk in the market for 2 hours in the freezing cold to waste time and when we return we find out that our rooms ( 3 rooms ) are not ready ( 2 out of 3 ready ) , and then when we try to understand why the explanation he gives is point at the board and says after 2 pm so its expected to be late , every excuse he made was to shift the blame to us, at check out when asked for a scale he says \" theres no scale\" and leave without letting us ask him where we can get one.
Other than that the hotel was clean and neat , other faculties had way way better service and better english than the reception , but the hotel doesn't stand for the 5 star standards ,

Why dont you serve Breakfast (Room Service)?

This was the 1st hotel I have stayed in for 7-years for business that wont deliver breakfast to your room, there are no menus and after several requests, i was told 'Why do you want it delivered, we serve it downstairs'. If I am paying for a 4* plus hotel, its my choice, and you should service to your guests requirements. The hotel can make money if they did this - its a license to print money.
Additionally, calling reception, room service was a nightmare, nobody seems to understand English, and everything seems a big effort.

Arrived in hotel early morning and they checked me in with smile. They are professional and they know what they are doing. During breakfast mr. MURAT and one Turkish girl took care of guests. Easy access to everywhere in middle of 24 hrs live area. Would recommend and stay again.

Pleasant stay in Taksim

The service was outstanding. If you needed something, they were right there- and quite friendly. And English was no problem for them. For instance, they showed us how to get around the city and gave us a card that we could scan for our transportation. Also, the facilities- sauna and pool were outstanding. There are a lot of quick eating places nearby. Conveniently located to Taksim Square.

A great 5 star hotel with bed & breakfast attitude

The Room I booked was a Deluxe Room with Bosphorus View.
Location (5/5) is within walking distance northeast of Taksim square which the beating heat of Istanbul tourist area. However, it is still far enough from the busy area to gives you almost quiet time in the room.
Accessibility (3/5) is good. Close to Taksim Metro station, but hotel entrance has steps as well the park between the metro and hotel.
Hotel Condition (5/5) is very good and well maintained.
Room Cleanliness (3/5). I was generally happy room cleanliness except a squirted white stain on the black Chamois leather quilt which left no hesitation to me of what it is.
Room View (5/5). I don’t know if you can any better view in Istanbul.
Service (1/5). This is the downside of this hotel. I left the room in the morning asking for room to be cleaned. However, when I came back in the afternoon, not a single towel was touched! The bathrooms essential things like shampoo and shower gel was not replaced either.
Internet (5/5). was great. It was a true high speed access with no interruption or restrictions.
Value for Money (1/5). Although hotel is in great condition and location, my expectation was much better service when I pay $235 AUD per night.
Breakfast (4/5). Very exotic middle eastern/Mediterranean buffet breakfast but in a very small area. I felt like playing hidden treasure with other guests!

Awesome location and very good staff

I stayed there for 4 nights and it was such perfect bundle of the best of all one needs. LOCATION couldn't better as its just 200 meters to Taksim square and Istiqlal Street . Plenty of restaurants just below the hotel and small supermarkets too. Amazing place to just walk around anytime day or night. Just 2 mins walk to Metro Station. LOBBY is so spacious and breakfast is very good. STAFF, WOW they are amazing. Reception has Ms Nejla who was very kind and extremely helpful and answers all your questions. Ali in front desk is always smiling and willing to help. GUEST RELATIONS, Ms Selma just goes out of the way to help you with a smile. They give you the best advice and right one too. ROOM is comfortable and you can adjust your room temperature the way you want. Overall I will recommend anyone looking for value for money to go here. You are in the happening place in Istanbul, yet when in your room it feels you are away from all the noise and there is privacy.

Not worth the money

Very negative experience. First of all, walls between rooms are too thin that you can hear your neighbours in the adjacent room word by word. Second, in room dining very bad, choices are limited, foods dirty and very old. Third, They don't allow you to have a friend visit you, and I mean just a short visit NOT sleeping in the room. As soon as someone visits you, a receptionist will call you that you will be charged 50 Euros for that guest!! What a greedy manner!! Not to mention that you must wakeup in the morning listening housekeeping staff shouting, cleaning, laughing ..... etc in front of your room!! I don't recommend the hotel at all.

Overall, we were very happy with our stay in May 2015. The hotel was adequately staffed and quite new, check in was effortless and the service at the restaurant was excellent. The hotel has leisure facilities such as a small indoor pool and also a steam room and also a sauna (wooden). The only thing I would like to see the hotel improve is the breakfast. Otherwise, a nice hotel!

The one thing I would vouch for 100% at this hotel is the hotel's staff! They are the only ones we saw smiling in Istanbul! haha. They would help with anything required, even arrange for tours. I would specially thank Alihan from Front Desk and Mehmut, Bell Captain. The ladies at the reception were always giving a beautiful smile.

I stayed a whole week here to attend a conference at ITU. The proximity to public transportation made the location very convenient to go there or anywhere else. The room itself was fine if not above average. The hotel staff were very efficient and helpful. I didn't need much, but each time I asked for anything they provided it with energy!
The b'fast was very good and they changed a few dishes each day. That's important when you stay a week.

Very new and clean. Location was excellent- 2 mins to Taksim Square yet adjacent to a nice precinct full of restaurants and bars. Rooms were spacious and well appointed and the bathroom was great. The bed was very comfortable. Doors to the rooms are quite thin and noise from the corridor spilled in at time. Staff were friendly and very obliging. The breakfast buffet was very nice and had a good variety of foods. Servicing of the room was not always consistent or satisfactory - bins often not emptied. Wi-fi was free, however, if you were inactive for a minute or so, you would be logged out and would have to continually re log in - this became quite frustrating. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

We have just returned from 4 nights at the Parma hotel. The location was perfect, a 2 minute walk from Takism Square and the room was very clean and spacious. The hotel staff were so helpful and assisted us most days with arranging taxis, trips and advised on restaurants and bars/clubs to go to. Would highly recommend.

Das einzig Positive an dem Hotel ist, die Nähe zum Taksim. Alles andere enttäuschend. An Rezeption auf meine Frage ob der Nette Herr auch Deutsch spricht, hiess es Nein. Darauf angesprochen, dass in der Beschreibung die deutsche Sprache drauf steht, erwiderte der Herr mit\" Wer hat das geschrieben, der Hoteldirektor\" und lachte. Zum Glück konnte er wenigstens ein wenig English. Nach einigen Tagen zufällig deutsch gesprochen und siehe da, der Herr konnte Deutsch zimlich gut. Das fand ich überhaupt nicht witzig und unprofessionell. Das gesamte Personal machte kein freundlichen Eindruck. Man hatte das Gefühl von aussen, dass die überhaupt keine Lust auf die Arbeit haben. Pool ist in die Jahre gekommen und sieht nicht so aus wie auf den Fotos. Essen war immer gleich, Brot sehr hart wie vor einer Woche. Offengetränke wie Orangensaft, Apfelsaft usw schmecken schrecklich. Extrem künstlich und süss. Alles Konzentrat aber ganz bestimmt kein gesunder Apfel/Orangensaft. Die Umgebung ist sehr laut, Bett unbequem, sehr kleiner Badezimmer. Die Zimmer wurden täglich gereinigt, Putzpersonal war freundlich. Alles in allem eher enttäuschend. Würde dieses Hotel nicht empfehlen und werde persönlich auch nicht mehr besuchen.

Super zentrale Lage. Zimmer groß und ruhig. Frühstück könnte besser sein. Aber typisches Stadthotel Frühstück. War mein 2. Aufenthalt. Wegen der Lage und Ausstattung würde ich auch wieder buchen.
