Place is very good. Room comfortable and, for Japan, quite spacious. The only let down was breakfast. Too rushed. Also they did not replenish the trays. Last day we went to breakfast 40 min before cut off but they had already run out of bread and croissants.

Easy to access from the train station, the rooms were beautiful and comfortable. The bathroom could have been cleaner, but it was absolutely perfect for a single person to stay. I will definitely be staying here again.

Great location, helpful & friendly staff, and amenities. Can't beat a peekaboo view of Osaka castle! Nearby a good subway intersection for visiting Kyoto, Nara, the Osaka waterfront and Dotonburi and short walking distance to the historic castle. The breakfast buffet has an excellent croissant too. One of the top hotels in my Japan trip. I'd stay here again next time in Osaka.
Only minor quibble- the room itself was non-smoking but the hallway smelled strongly of smoke; not sure that rule is being obeyed by other guests. Anyone who has issues with smoking residue might expect this.

There are dozens, if not hundreds, of budget/economy hotels in Osaka which offer near identical accommodation to The Lutheran Hotel. They all have a minimum of public spaces, tiny restaurants/coffee shops and very small bedrooms. They are also generally very affordable and perfect for independent travellers who don’t want to sit in their hotel all day. The Lutheran has slightly larger rooms than most, a very good breakfast buffet and wonderful staff. It is also located in a very quiet area ( most others are clustered around rail stations and shopping/nightlife). Best of all, it’s within metres of the spectacular Osaka Castle and its parks. It’s also less than 100 metres from entrance to a subway station connecting you to the rest of the city within minutes.

The location (to the Metro, Osaka Castle, Museum and amazing food), rooms, and employees were amazing and great. The coin laundry wasn’t so much since it took ¥400 to even dry the clothes (2 hours). But hey, laundry is laundry and needs to get done.
Besides that I will definitely be staying again.

This property is in a very convenient location. Just walking distance to the Royal Palace, subway across the street and many restaurants. The room was nice and clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. This is a very basic clean hotel with a restaurant in the lobby. It has a currency exchange machine in the lobby and vending machines that come in handy. The conveniences are great!

2 minutes to the subway station, 10 minute walk to Osaka castle and surrounding grounds. Staff were polite and courteous, rooms were small but more then adequate, bed comfortable but the pillows were to hard. Breakfast had plenty to Choose from and Was a good start to the day. Highly recommend this hotel.

It is clean, reasonable size room.
Rate is reasonable.
The staff were excellent, impressed with their service.
Their buffet breakfast was nice, really good spread of food.
Just a tiny comment in the single room when I came back, just an unpleasant smell in the toilet, not that bad.
Overall, I recommend this hotel to my family and friends who asked me where I stayed in Osaka.

The hotel was a nice refuge after a long flight. It was close to the attractions I wanted to see, and the free WIFI was a major plus. The room was just enough for me, and I had all of the amenities I needed. It was also very close to the metro line; it was a 3 minute walk. It was also close to several convenience stores where one could find snacks and / or water and juice.

Nice hotel but terribly uncomfortable beds.

Although the hotel itself was nice, the bed comfort wasn’t good. The pillows had what felt like, big styrofoam balls in them? It was pretty strange. And the beds were very firm. We personally prefer beds with some softness. Overall a nice hotel but wouldn’t recommend.

Quiet yet accessible part of Osaka

Highly recommend this serene and comfortable hotel away from the hustle and bustle areas of Osaka. Yet for those visiting for its historical attractions and museums highly convenient. Only one block from the imposing Osaka Castle and the modernist History Museum . Tip: If jet-lagged, head to the castle at sunrise--streak of light on the water of the moat not to be missed. Hotel is also half a block away from subway entrance. Easy to learn the subway system and get to key train stations that link to KIX, Kyoto, Nara, etc. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff absolutely first rate with attentiveness. Allowed us to keep luggage there during the week we hiked the Kumano Kodo trail. Reviewers raved about the included breakfast--they were right! Western and Japanese selections abound. Even included the local favorite--takomaki. Great way to start a full day sightseeing! Next time in Osaka, we would choose this hotel again in a heartbeat.

On checking in, the staff were not as friendly as the other hotels we've been to. The toilet smelled and we realized that the toilet seat still had defecation on it. There was a spray we can use to it wipe down and mask the odour, hence we did not make any complains. The hotel is at a great location; near a subway station. Contact with hotel was difficult. I attempted to get my luggage stored with the hotel prior to checking in. But I think there was a bunch of miscommunications and I did not get a conclusive answer. トリプルで予約したところ、エキストラベッドではなくて本当にトリプルの部屋で感動しました。
作りは少し昔の印象もありますが清潔で広さも充分でした。
朝食のビュッフェは種類が多く、ご当地メニューもあって、どれを食べても美味しかったです。
またぜひ利用したいです。

母と宿泊しました。お部屋は綺麗で良かったです。ホテルのパジャマを使用させてもらいましたが、今の時期、生地が薄くて寒かったです。母は、自分のパジャマ持ってきてたので、寒い時期は持っていった方が良いかなと思いました！朝食もメニュー豊富で満足でした！

万博に行くのに利用しましたが各階に製氷機があり、キンキンに冷えた氷水を水筒に詰める事が出来たので暑さを凌ぐのに大変役立ちました。
防音もしっかりしており、外部の音が気になると言う事もなくゆっくりと休む事が出来ました。
大阪城やNHKと徒歩圏内という事もあって近隣に食事処も多く、旅の目的の一つだった本場のお好み焼きを堪能する事が出来ました。

地下鉄の改札からホテル最寄り出口までかなり歩きますが、暑い夏、雨の日、寒い日などは良いと思います。地上に出てすぐコンビニもあり、とても便利です。
大阪城もすぐ近くです。大阪城へ散歩にでかけたくなりました。
ビジネス街？官庁街？なので環境は静かで治安も良さそうです。
朝食もメニュー豊富でした。
シャワーの水圧も満足でした！

エントランスからロビー周りが狭い。でも、閑静な場所で地下鉄谷町六丁目駅に近く、関西万博会場までの中央線が乗り換えなしだしとても便利。コンビニや飲食店もあり不便さは感じない。次回もこの便利さと清潔感の中で仕事にも使いたい。朝食もリーズナブルで美味しい上に、スタッフもとても好意的です。

Osaka, un hôtel correct et un accueil très bof...

Hôtel bien placé à Osaka. Propre et moderne.
Le gros bémol est l'accueil. Que la majorité des japonais ne parlent pas anglais, soit. Mais qu'aucun membre du personnel de l'hôtel ne soit capable de sortir un mot en anglais, injustifiable.
Par ailleurs, un matin on a demandé à prendre un café. Ça a été non dans discussion, faute d'avoir à prendre tout un petit déjeuner. Donc sentiment très mitigé sur cet hôtel.
