Our stay was so relaxing. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean and very nice. However, the toilet room was too small. We had to leave the door open to use the toilet. Also, the traffic outside from bousouzoku drivers was really loud. We understand that the traffic noise is not the hotel's fault, but if it wasn't for the small toilet and the traffic noise, our stay would have been perfect.

The towels were clean & changed timely as per instructed. The room was made up promptly & neat. However I gave only 3 stars because the room was dusty even after cleaning. Don’t know why. Definitely not ideal for people with sensitive nose. The staff greeted every time u passed by the front desk, very attentive. Location was excellent; just that u need to change elevator to access to your room, kind of troublesome.

After checking into the hotel I went to have a rest in bed. I pulled the covers back to find hair, and a big brown stain. We were moved into a new room. The beds were far too firm, pillows way too hard. This was brought up with staff and a new pillow provided. I would not stay here again and wouldn’t have stayed here if I knew how hard the beds were.

DO NOT STAY HERE, the pictures looking nothing like how the actual hotel looks. We checked in, and immediately realized we needed to leave when we saw the room. Luckily the staff was nice to refund us but the place was absolutely filthy and there are other locations around there that are much less and actually decent.

Location very good. Room and facilities adequate. Unfortunately there is no soundproofing on the windows, you hear every car and workman outside all night long, even on the 7th floor. If you value convenience above all else and don't mind sleeping with earplugs this hotel is for you.

The laundry was inefficient — they only have two washers and two dryers for a large number of rooms. They also impose time limits on using the machines, which, while understandable, can be frustrating when you have several people sharing a room and a lot of laundry to do. We were basically told to stop using the dryer even though our clothes were still wet.

You cannot beat the location of this hotel. The property isn't the newest and prices can sometimes get high during certain seasons and the month of arrival..., but if you can snag this place early, you'll have one of the most centrally located, transit accessible hotels in all of Kyoto.

Worst hotel stay of my life!

The absolute worst hotel.Ive ever stayed in. I ended up checking out early. The room felt dirty, the nightstand table broke as soon as we touched it, the refrigerator shelf fell off as soon as we opened the door. A sheet had a stain on it and a bed comforter was ripped. When we told the desk staff about the conditions and wanted a different room they claimed.they were sold out and couldnt offer us one but instead handed me a new sheet and a new comforter to change them myself!
The bathroom is extremely dangerous and the size of an airplane bathroom. To get into the shower requres stepping over a giant bathtub wall and a step up into the bathroom.
I was charged a significant amount of money to check out 2 days early which I paid because I needed to just get out of thisnhell hole (but will be disputing due to the unsanitary conditions)
Street noise was heard all night long the 1 night I stayed. The only likable thing about this property is its walkability. I dont often leave reviews but feel I need to warn others.

We enjoyed a 3 night stay at Kyoto Central in the Japanese Western Suite B with 2 Queen and 2 twin futon. Ample space for 4 people. Front desk is on 2nd floor, staff were kind & efficient and our sent bags were waiting. Small elevator or stairs from street into the hotel. Our room was on 2nd which was convenient to walk past the ice machine and laundry room. The separate toilet room was quite small to close the door at your knees. Tub/shower combo was nice, towels little thin. Mini fridge in closet and table with floor cushion/seat back we moved to lay out futons. A little small when opening luggage for four people. Nice view of main street, lots of shopping/dining at Pontocho Alley, Nishiki Market & Kawaramachi right out the door. Taxi depot across street - short ride to Kiyomizu Temple. Transit from Gion-shijo station to Fushimi-inari Station was 220Yen. We would stay here again, the location is great!

The property is in an excellent location. Coming from Osaka by train the station is literally up the stairs.
Very clean and well run with front desk being very helpful with advice,directions and bus #.
Highly recommend for those reason. Mattress especially hard and not for people with back issues…for me!

The location next to Nishiki and Teramchi is fantastic. Food shopping and transportation proximity is the best. There is a taxi stand access the street and it’s on top of a station. The room, bed, bathroom and ability to control temperature of the room were not great. I would say it’s a 2 ⭐️ hotel in that regard.

I don’t know why some people give such negative review on this hotel. It is what it is, a cheap hotel. Yes the hall stank of cigarettes but out room didn’t. Go 2 minutes out of the hotel and buy some incense if it botherss you. Yes it wasn’t the most slick room but it had comfortable bed, clean sheets and enough space, the shower was hot, the fridge was colder than our novatel. But the best thing was it suited my our needs in fact we extended our stay and the location couldn’t get better. For food, shopping and transport. Some people might whine about the road noise or the room temperature as it didn’t have A/C but for the price suck it up and out go pay double elsewhere.

I liked the help I received from the front. I wanted to do laundry and it's included with your stay so all of them were full when I wanted to do my laundry but I know that this was my fault. This place has one thing going for it. LOCATION. The bathroom was the smallest I have ever been in, definitely won’t fit anyone super tall, my knees were almost touching the wall when using the toilet and I can touch the ceiling in the shower… I’m only 5’2.
There is absolutely no air conditioning in the rooms, it exists only in the elevator and somewhat in the halls. Be ready to feel super stuffy and hot in the room after a shower.

Front desk will only tell you to open the window if it’s hot which leads to excessive noise from the streets. But don’t think that closing the windows will solve your noise issue.. you can hear your neighbors inside their rooms. Coughing, talking, sneezing, etc. I suggest you find some place else if noise/air conditioning are your main requirements.

It was late to check in and I didn’t have any power to negotiate with front staff, so ended up giving up taking shower on that day. コンビニはホテルを出たらローソンがありましたが激混みでレジも並んでるので覚悟していくしかないです。エアコンは効いてましたが、チェックアウトしてホテルを出てしたの玄関前みたいな所で外人さんが掃除してましたがポケットに手を入れて掃除機かけてたのでこんなもんだなぁって思いました。駐車場も提携してるところがなく、車で行く人の為のホテルではありませんね。近くにコインパーキングがありますが歩いて15分歩く場所にあることとか、駐車料金がかかる事を考えると次の宿泊では使いませんね。出張や電車で行かれた方でも場所的にどうかと思いますね。駅からも遠いのでタクシーやバスを使っていかないといけない場所ですね。せめて提携するパーキングは持ってるといいと思います。

アメニティを検索した際に「浴衣」とあったのでパジャマは持参しませんでしたが、浴衣はありませんでした。
無料アメニティはスキンケア等いろいろ揃っています。
就寝時、何かの動作音がして寝付けず、空調を消したりイヤホンで音楽を聴きながら寝ましたが結局朝まで眠れませんでした。

滞在自体は快適で、スタッフの方々も親切に対応してくださり、全体的には満足しています。
そのうえで、今後の改善につながればと思い、共有させていただきます。

滞在中に無料のランドリーサービスを利用した際のことです。洗濯室を利用させて頂き、洗濯が終わる前に洗濯室へ行き、乾燥機を使用するために洗濯が終了するのを待っていました。

私の洗濯も残り1分というところへ別の宿泊客の方がいらっしゃり、「乾燥機が空いているなら使いたい」と言われ私が順番待ちをしていることを伝えると、「空いているなら使っていいのでは」と主張され、認識の違いから少し困る場面がありました。

スタッフの方にも相談したところ、「当事者同士で話し合って決めてほしい」

共用設備であるため、利用者同士の配慮も大切だと思いますが、今回のように「待っている人が優先なのか」「空いていれば誰でも使えるのか」といった点が明確でないと、トラブルになりやすいと感じました。

簡単なルールの掲示や、スタッフの方による一定のご案内があると、より安心して利用できると思います。

またその時はアルバイトスタッフと外国人の社員の方しかおらず、責任を持てる方がいらっしゃらないことにも不安を感じました。

全体的には快適に滞在させて頂いたので、今後の参考にして頂ければ幸いです。

ドアのした部分に隙間がありテレビの音も外に漏れていました。
寝るだけなら問題ありませんが小さいお子さんとかが居るところは廊下に声が漏れやすいので注意かと。
京都の四条で格安泊まれたのはとても良かったです。
受付の方の対応もよかったです。
また機会があれば泊まりたいです。
