It was a miserable stay except for the nice man that checked us in and breakfast. We got a basement room right under reception and facing the street. Reception was loud and fairly late one night then early then next morning the cleaning staff dragged up many bags of trash right outside our window. Staff also made alot of noise in the hallway outside our room very early on a Sunday morning. My bed was lopsided and my back was extremely sore after sleeping in it and trying not to roll off. It was just miserable and for more money than I had spent on other hotels during our trip that were much MUCH better.

We booked this property well in advance and was impressed with the look of the building. On arrival our stay took a turn for the worse with our introduction to Michael at the front desk. He was lacking hospitality skills, and very abrupt and abrasive when we arrived. We were told we would be in the basement suite, since it would be easier for our suitcases since the elevator had broken down. I tried to get a better room, but that did not seem to be an option. Once in our room it was clean, but we were in the basement of a Victorian house…it was dark and felt and smelt damp.
Since we were below street level it was noisy from foot traffic and doors were banging, especially early in the morning. I would NEVER stay at this hotel again. I am a seasoned traveller and this is one of the worse rooms I have stayed in.

Nice hotel in a quiet area of town. Very inconvenient that we had a fourth floor room and that the elevator was down for days for our entire stay.

The elevator was out of order and our room was on the fifth floor, and the stairways become progressively narrow as you go up, very hard to negotiate with luggage. The room was not much bigger than a broom closet. Though claustrophobic, it was nicely decorated and maintained, and staff were nice. We got the room at a reduced last-minute price; its normal price is far too high for the size of the room.

The Byron Hotel gave us a great stay in a great location, close to transport, Kensington gardens and hop on hop off bus tours. It was quiet, felt safe and was good value for London. This hotel is fabulous for a short stay. The staff are incredible and go out of their way to help. The rooms are the cleanest I have seen in a hotel and although simple, they appear to have been refurbed and have everything you need for a short break.

This is a nice hotel, spotlessly clean and with very friendly staff. Unfortunately we were very disappointed by the cooked breakfast- tepid coffee, tough bacn, tasteless mushrooms etc. But there was nice bread, pastries, yogurt and fruit, so overall it was ok.

City break on room only basis in a twin room . Fab base for sightseeing. Nearest tube is Queensway(central line) and a few more steps is Bayswater (circular line ) . No faults with the hotel and would stay again

What a wonderful find ! Lovely and modern, clean and quiet. Just a 15 minute walk from Paddington Station on a side street close to Hyde Park which made it very peaceful. We were able to drop our bags off early as we had travelled by train on the sleeper and could go out and explore. Our daughter joined us later that day and i had told them.of this when I booked and they put her on our floor close by which was very accommodating . Breakfast was very good in taste and value ! Recommended

Cute boutique hotel in Paddington. Room was small. Beds were comfy with nice pillows and pretty curtains. They could use new decorative pillows though, as they were shabby. Room was clean. My least favorite part was that the room was in the basement and the basement hallway had an awful smell, like they used a strong deodorizer to cover something up. Thank goodness the room didn't have that smell or I would have complained and asked for a different room. The front desk staff was amazing and the room was okay, so I give it 4 stars. It would have been 5 if not for the hallway odor.

We got to the hotel early before check-in, and they hold our luggage for us, at 2pm, the room was ready, it was what we were expecting in terms of space, and it was clean, closed to Hyde Park and the tube station, we enjoyed the surroundings. Breakfast was a plus, and it was delicious, English Style breakfast every day, the people were really nice. We will stay again, thank you!
