Front desk staff were all very helpful. We first got there and got our room which was not cleaned, but we went back downstairs and let them know and they got us a different room right away. Actually turned out to be a blessing for us because the room we ended up in had a full ocean view which was absolutely stunning

There was not parking. We had to park at 15 minutes walk from me hotel. There was mold in the shower and hair on the floor in the room. The air conditioning did not cool the room at all.

The front desk staff was incredibly unfriendly from the minute we stepped in the door. No introduction to the hotel facilities, no eye contact and would not give clarification when asked simple questions like, Where should we eat, things to do. When trying to catch a bus they weren’t willing to tell me how far or near what store. They just said it’s down the street. We were promised air conditioning and after talking to them called Hotel.com. Needless to say there was no air conditioning. We woke up late and all restaurants were closed for 5 hours. I took a pastry left out for breakfast and they told me I shouldn’t and charged me ten Euros. Every other place I stayed in Italy was friendly, helpful and wishing to make it an excellent stay. I can’t begin to recount the number of insulting interactions.
BTW, although there website offers to get you a car to the train station, they said they had none and that there were no taxis.
I cant believe this is part of Best Western. Shame on them for their unkindness.

Great Location for the Property. IMO, the Balcony side (Ocean View) would be the only reason to stay here. We had an issue with the elevator and was forced to walk up 3 flights. Very tough for elderly. No help or alternate from staff. Just a sign on the elevator. The breakfast was not a good option. Would I stay here again, yes, but only Ocean view side and would pass on the Breakfast option.

But during the heatwave of 2024, it lacked some decent air conditioning, However, you can't beat the truly amazing location, the view, the history, and the proximity to restaurants and bars as well as the ferry to Cinque Terre. Parking, on the other hand ... get there by train if you can (no fault of the hotel).

We loved this location! AC was out during our 1 night stay so it was pretty warm in our room. The balcony was shared with the next room with just a railing between so I wasn’t comfortable leaving the doors open for the night. Staff was very helpful & breakfast was nice. Stored our luggage while we took the ferry to see Cinque Terre. Hotel parking was a little confusing to find, but we found it and it wasn’t a far walk back to the hotel. Just drop your luggage off first & then park.

Not the best hotel, very dated & old fashioned with music blaring until early hours of morning. Music so loud I felt the DJ was in our room! I complained on arrival that bed had hairs in it and bathroom had marks beside sink. We were offered a change of room for 1 night only which I didn’t want so the only way forwards was for me to change sheets myself & they were happy to give me clean sheets & cleaning product for bathroom! We had a tiny balcony overlooking sea which was amazing. Breakfast basic but adequate. 40€ for a sun umbrella & 2 sun beds for a day! Car park a 7-10 minute walk away but they did give reduced parking. I would not stay in this hotel again.

Location on the water was great. Many dining options nearby. The hotel itself could use a bit of a refresh. Our biggest issues were that the AC was not available. We were told it was to early in the season to turn it on. No beach chairs or deck available, apparently to early for that to. Not necessarily a problem if you let me know on the website that these things are seasonal. If you post it as an amenity, then it should be available.

I’ll start with the good… the location is great and the guy who works the Night Shift is friendly. Now on to the bad… the bed is hard as a rock and makes a terrible noise every time you move while laying in it, the staff (other than the Night Shift receptionist) are not welcoming and seemed to be bothered every time you asked for something, the hotel decor is dated and confusing. It could benefit from a major refurbishment. No notice in advance of hotel sponsored parties with blaring music that continued until 12:45am. I believe it was the police who finally made them turn off the music. Lerici has the potential to rival Portofino, but it unfortunately misses the opportunity to do so.

This was a perfect beginning to our Family Italy vacation. We used this hotel as our base to visit other towns during the day. Located On the waterfront with several restaurants to choose from. Ask the desk staff for recommendations, they wont steer you wrong. Area is great and scenoc. Room was clean but small , however, we weren't in it. After starting our day with the breakfast they offer we were off sightseeing. I have misplaced my list of exceptional Staff but the gentlemen that checked us in was more than just accomodating then and throughout out stay..

The Hotel is in a great location and Lerici is a beautiful little town. It is close to bus stops and the water ferry to Cinque Terra. Breakfast is on the 5th floor with lovely views of the water.

What a surprise this resort was! A real find, beautiful setting , lovely restaurants and an easy walk to the nearby resort of Terenzo which was smaller but just as charming. Ideal base from which to hire a boat or take one of the many cruises to the surrounding area. There are areas of free beaches, but most are “lido “style where you pay for the use of sun beds etc, however Hotel Shelley has its own sunbathing area with access to the sea which is a real bonus. Staff are very courteous and the view from the balconies and breakfast room, (fab breakfasts btw) is outstanding. Parking is the only issue as there is none directly outside the hotel (other than the drop off and pick up of luggage) You are given reduced rates at s local car park about 500m down the road which was fine. Would most certainly. stay again.

The location and view and price are perfect! Breakfast was very nice as well. The issue is the room. It’s so dimly lit you can’t see anything! Also the noise from the street kept me up all night. On Saturday there is a nightclub down the road that blasts music past 2am. Even with shutters, doors closed and shades drawn there was no hope of sleeping. The furniture is extremely outdated. A mini fridge would have been nice. And even with with Do Not Disturb sign on the door the housekeeper barged in.

Quiet beach getaway...
The location was terrific. Our room faced the sea and the balcony was a great bonus! While a bit dated, the hotel is kept in good condition and is clean. The staff were all attentive and helpful. Even though the breakfast options were the same every day, there was such a great variety that you need not eat the same thing twice. My husband and I had such a great holiday that we are already planning to return for another week next year. If you're looking for a quiet holiday, then this is the place for you.

I suggest you don’t pay for the breakfast and enjoy one of the litte cafes or grab a fresh focaccia in one of the small bakeries of the town.

Nice hotel across from the beach in a very good location in Lerici. Good views (I would recommend Levels 1-3 as Level 4 has a concrete balcony rail) and a really good breakfast. A sunbaking terrace for hotel staff.

Hotel has harbour sea swimming with private access across the road - good for children. Clean hotel. Very close to all amenities in the town. Informal comfortable lobby area and bar. Our en-suite was petite but quite functional. Great view from bedroom with nice balcony. Leriche is a gentle dignified resort, not too busy, with some of the best coastal views in Italy. Very hot in August but room was air conditioned. Good value

No beach- a cement terrace that goes straight into the shallow water close to a lot of boats. Just a 10min walk away is a beautiful sand beach where you have to pay quite a bit to enter and rent lounge chairs/umbrella for the day (38 Euros for 2 people) but worth it. I would have stayed at a cheaper place and used this beach.

We loved our stay at the Hotel Shelley e delle Palme. Room was good, view and balcony were great, services were great. Be aware, parking in Lerici is a problem. They have a system of parking for 5 euro a day if staying at a hotel, but the parking is almost always full. We circled for 45 minutes before lucking onto someone leaving a space. Otherwise we loved our stay there.

Book thru hotel.com unless you will pay the double... One night at 125€ directly from the hotel and the other night at 144$CDN... The location is perfect (front of the beach). Good restaurants around. Not too far from Cinque Terre (you have to have a car). The parking is at approximately 700 meters from the hotel (for 5€ per 24 hours) it is good. The breakfast is included. Check out at 10AM but if you ask at the reception it is ok to extend to 11AM. Clean room and nice view if you have the chance to have a front bedroom.

Needs some serious upgrades
Room was clean but building worn out and I need of repair. Ceiling tiles missing and bow drier out of the 70’s. It literally had a hose to dry your hair. Phone in the room did not work. Nor was it replaced after reporting it. Breakfast was just ok No one ever really went out of their way to assist us. I would not return.

Although the hotel is a little out of date and rough around the edges, it could still be a nice place to stay (in a way Lerici itself feels a few decades behind which is kind of charming) if it weren't for the unfriendly/inflexible staff. Lovely setting and fantastic views of the bay. It was particularly nice having our own balcony to sit on. The room was comfortable but the decor is very tired and could do with refurbishing. Breakfast is served in a lovely bright room at the top of the hotel with a spectacular outlook and the selection of food was good. Guests have the use of sun loungers and sunshades in a private terrace on the beach and there is a 16 Euro charge each day which one of the check in staff kindly waived for us. Most of the reception staff were polite and efficient however the woman who checked us out was downright rude - took our money without even a word of thanks and also tried to charge us for the sun lounger even though she had been there when we were told to have it free of charge. Her unpleasant manner added a slightly sour last note to what had otherwise been a very pleasant stay.

I was only staying for a few nights on a business trip to the area, but at the height of the tourist season all the hotel staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Particularly Jerry on the front desk! The view over the bay from my balcony was a perfect way to start the day. If I am fortunate enough to visit Lerici again I will definitely stay at Hotel Shelley again.

I was a bit disappointed with the overall service. i thought that there was a dedicated parking for guests but it turned out that there was only one at 700 metres from the hotel and they had a deal for that - 5 euros per day which is is good compared to £2.50 per hour for the other parking. As it is a public parking it is not guaranteed that you'll find a spot. However, I've re-read the hotel's description and I couldn't find anything re the parking so I can't complain about this.
What I can complain about is that I booked a room with a bathtub and we had a shower. On top of that and more annoying is that at 5:30am I got a call in the room which woke me up and I wasn't able to fall asleep until very late. When I was finally asleep at 8:30am the cleaning ladies started taking from one room to another and woke me up again! I complained at the reception and the only thing they told me is that no one has requested the alarm service so it must have been a call from someone in another room. Not very helpful! And th breakfast in the terrace is not really in a terrace but it's on the last floor. You can still have a wonderful view but I thought it was outdoor.

Rigtig dejligt hotel, værelse og fantastisk beliggenhed og udsigt fra balkon. Dog var receptionisterne uhøflige, og de kunne stort set ikke tale engelsk og dermed hjælpe os med noget som helst. Faktisk gjorde en af dem grin med os, til trods for det var ham, der antog noget, han ikke skulle. Når man sagde hej, godmorgen eller lignende, gad de nærmest ikke svare. Tjeneren i spisesalen til morgenmad var meget høflig og serviceorienteret, men kunne heller ikke hverken forstå eller tale engelsk. Vigtigt; vandet i bruseren fungerede meget dårligt. Havde man haft børn med, havde de ikke kunnet stå under bruseren grundet meget varmt vand.
