I really enjoyed the hotel and was pleased with our room on the bottom floor next to the store. However, we faced persistent technical issues during our stay. For four out of five nights, we had no Wi-Fi or cellular service in our room, which caused significant inconvenience. Despite contacting the front desk daily, calling the Wi-Fi support team, and submitting multiple tickets, the problem remained unresolved until our last day. When my husband was sick and we were confined to our room, I stressed the importance of having Wi-Fi or access to YouTube and Netflix on the TV. Only then did the manager visit our room, verify the lack of Wi-Fi, and help us connect to the guest Wi-Fi. While they were assisting us, a resident across the hall mentioned he also lacked Wi-Fi. This widespread issue made it very difficult to order food, arrange rides, buy tickets, or call family, forcing us to do these tasks outside or away from the hotel. Addressing these connectivity problems promptly would greatly enhance the guest experience and prevent such frustrations in the future. It was a nice walk to Disneyland, and there are lots of food options within walking distance. The pool and water park were very clean and enjoyable.

This hotel was fantastic! Everything about it was awesome! The staff were super friendly, from the check in staff to the lifeguards. I have never stayed at a hotel where every employee was in a great mood. The grounds and rooms were clean, the pools and water park were awesome and the location to Disneyland was great and you can watch the fireworks from both pool areas!! We will be back!!

front lady that checked us in was rude and not helpful at all after i told her we stay there quite often she did not care the lady manager at the water park was really rude we moved are chairs a Littel back to get out of the sun and she ran over and told us all the chairs have to be in a line for emergency personal first of all there was no body there except for a block wall just really embarrassing all i can say is save your self the aggravation and stay some where else the fan in the bathroom was really weak hot water did not get hot enough.

We stayed in a 2nd floor room with two big windows that cannot be covered and it was lit up by the pool at night and bright as soon as the sun came up in the morning. They should have warned us about this during check in when they asked if we wanted ground floor or second. It was not ideal. The bathroom fixtures were old and corroded. But other than that we were satisfied.

We loved the retro vibe of this hotel! The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel, lobby, hallways, and room were impeccably clean. Our kids loved both the Garden Pool and Castaway Cove! The walk to the Parks was easy. We can't wait to go back!

We always stay at Howard Johnson because it is so convenient to visit Disneyland. The staff are always wonderful and kind. We could always stay right across the street from Disneyland, but we choose to stay at Howard Jonson because we are treated so well and the rooms are great!!

Absolutely mind blowing. Cleanest, nicest hotel! Fantastic views and great amenities with super comfortable beds. The pools are awesome and the mini mart has great things for fair prices. Customer service is superb!!!! Walk to Disney from here in 9 minutes or stay in to watch fireworks from the balcony here!!! I will stay at this incredible hotel anytime I’m visiting swing now! The stay is more than worth the price!!!

We had a comfortable stay at this hotel. I found the bed and pillows comfortable, amenities satisfactory, and convenient location in proximity to Disneyland. Staff were helpful and friendly. My kids enjoyed the pool and waterpark. We had a suite with two bathrooms, one queen bed, bunks and a pull out couch which was ample room for our family of four (plus extended family to congregate). My only criticism is the bathroom was a little bit dirty/worn and would love to have better coffee available on site! All in all I’d say the rooms are priced fairly compared to others nearby and I would recommend staying! My kids and husband agree it was a great experience.

Overall we had a pleasant stay here. My little one had a blast at the water park. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean, beds were comfy. The only complaint I would have is that the bathroom has a motion sensor light that would sometimes turn off if there was no movement. I had it turn off on me while in the shower. It's about a ten minute walk from Disneyland which was also convenient. We would definitely come back and recommend this property.

AC wasn’t working when we arrived. There were spiders on the bed. The shower water took forever to warm up. Lots of noise from the freeway which was right next to our room. Staff was very helpful and friendly though.

The staff is really friendly. At least the front desk and housekeeping. The room some towels had other peoples hair, the bed had other people's hair and the microwave and coffee maker were dusty. For an average $300 a night it could be a little more clean. Specially when they try to save on everything. Housekeeping comes after the second night you stay here. When they came to clean (I stayed 3 nights) they didn't even put an extra roll of toilet paper or hand bar soap. Parking is extra the ice maker never works and this is my 3rd time staying at this hotel. The only reason I like it is because of the water area. There's a pool that's literally for toddlers. They are open rain or shine. Rooms have microwave and a fridge. They also provide actual cribs at no charge. WiFi is a bit slow and only 5 devices can be used. For example if you have kids that have phones/ tablets and parents that have work computers and phones it can't all be connected. Cellular data also doesn't get much reception.
There was some work being done while I stayed but it didn't bother me I didn't hear them. Would I stay here again? Probably not. I have a trip again soon to Disney but will look into other options. I've stayed at other budge friendly hotels nearby that are far way cleaner with parking included. Their selling point is definitely the water park area.

So from what I was told, you want to make sure to get a room in the number 2 tower. We were in building 4 and it felt crammed and outdated. The room was hot and smelled badly of sweat/water damage? Honestly, I have no clue what the smell was but it wasn’t pleasant😑 The one positive thing I have to say about my experience is that we were located right next to the water park and my kids loved that! The on site store was very overpriced imo compared to other surrounding hotel’s stores. If I had stayed in tower 2, perhaps I’d have a different opinion, but I can say I won’t be staying here in the future and we go to Disneyland 2-3 times a year. *Also a huge deal to many*** Our building did not have an elevator. I think only tower 2 does, so definitely make sure the building you get has one if it’s necessary for your trip- we had a double stroller and an electric scooter so we had to have our room moved to ground level😑

The staff was super nice but the room wasn't so great. We found blood on our pillow and fitted sheet. Honestly it grossed us out. The bathroom was so dated and smelled weird. I wasn't too happy with the room for the amount we paid. Also, sucked that there was no elevator for our room. Again, staff was friendly. Just not happy with the room especially with my kids touching everything it grossed me out. We are traveling back in May and most likely won't come back

We had put in a request over the phone to be placed near our traveling party and not only did they accommodate, but we received an upgrade as well. We finally tried the water park and our kiddo had a blast. This is the ultimate hotel for our family for our needs.

Extremely central location. Across the street from Disneyland plenty of food options all within walking distance. Once I parked my car I never had to leave. The pools were in good condition. There are two options a large pool, 5 feet deep and then the little water area with a pirates ship, and Jacuzzi. The rooms were really clean. My only qualm was there were two windows that you could not close leaving light into the building all night. This would be on the second floor of the fourth building. There is no way to close those so just be aware if you don’t like light ask for something on the first floor.

We stayed in Building 1. Staff was friendly, property was well maintained, our room was very spacious & clean, beds were so comfortable. It was 95 degrees during our entire stay and the A/C worked great, thank goodness. Room key card is required to access entry to each individual building, which made the property very safe. There was ample parking on site & the lot was safe. Other hotels on the same street were charging $44 for parking, so $25 per night is a great rate. Short walking distance (on a safe street) to the main entrance of Disneyland & California Adventure. Mimi’s Cafe, Panera & McDonald were all within a 1/2 mile. I did like that the main pool was in a separate area away from the splash pad/water play area. There were lifeguards present in both water areas, which is a huge plus!!! There was a dinette in the room which we used for breakfast each morning. The room also had a mini fridge, microwave & Keurig.

Great for the price. The hotel is in desperate need of a face lift, but the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. If you’re staying here for Disney, you can’t do much better for the price. Also, some rooms have a killer view of Disney for the weekend fireworks (Friday, Sat and sometimes sunday) so if you hear them popping don’t forget to look outside. Parking is $25 a night, not bad. And being walking distance to Disney (while saving hundreds per night compared to Disney hotels) is really the sell here.

You can’t beat a walkable hotel from Disneyland. We stayed here with our 11 month old daughter and it was great! Staff was very kind and accommodating - also very quick to respond to an email I sent them while literally driving on the interstate from AZ on the way there when I had a question. The parking does get full quickly but we were always able to find a spot which is always a huge plus! We’d love to come back next time we’re in Disneyland :-)

Pros: my favorite part of this property was how friendly the staff. From start to finish everyone we encountered was very helpful and accommodating. Also, we were there to visit the Disney parks and the ease to get there was great - 10 min walk, max! Room was clean, beds were comfy and room was very spacious.

Cons: property is old and the halls towards our room (bldg 4) had a muggy-old smell. Also, we didn’t see a restaurant on the property.

Overall, we would consider to stay again.

I stayed in one of the older buildings that didn't have an elevator so call head if that's something you need. The furniture was pretty dated but the room was clean except for a few stains on one of the chairs. The internet connection was really bad and I couldn't watch a video on my phone for longer than a few seconds. Even the connection on the TV wouldn't last very long. Lastly, even though there is a shuttle, the people at the front desk don't recommend taking it because this is the last hotel on route so it can take a long time and gets full. I don't think I would stay here again for the price.

Stayed with my teenage daughter feb 2026. Room was old and outdated (obviously did not get a renovated room), the mattresses were thin and too squishy, and since we were on the second floor with the arched window we could not make it dark. After one night of poor sleep we cancelled our stay and went to a different hotel. Staff was very nice and helpful, but this is not the hotel for us. Disappointing after all the good reviews.

Staff were very helpful and courteous. Family suite in Building 1 was comfortable and clean. Great location with reasonably short walk to Disneyland entrance. Only significant disappointment was that my son found pool and splash pad water were not heated enough for him to enjoy. We visited in February and the high temperatures that week were low to mid 70s. And we disagree with their hot tub rules which require adult to actually be in hot tub (with child thru age 14) and not just nearby or has their feet dipped in tub ...even though there is a lifeguard right there! Our son is 11. But overall, would consider staying there again if visiting Disney.

Also, being on the top floor, our room had large sky lights with no window coverings, which meant we were up very early with the sunrise. I would suggest some kind of covering to keep the room adequately dark.
