rooms were a little on the small size but if you’re only sleeping there it’s not that big of a deal however, the pool was absolutely DISGUSTINGLY FILTHY. there was bird (seagull) poop in the pool lots of it and the pool was so cloudy you could barely see the bottom. would definitely look for somewhere else to stay other than this place.

The location is a walking distance from the boardwalk. The room is small, looks old and dusty. The staff was friendly. Be careful to open the stove because the burner was getting hot immediately. There is a loud music every night and some guest were so noisy hanging out outside our room very late at night and stayed there till early morning. So annoying

This property is your typical 1950s built motel with a pool. Although not completely remodeled it had nice vinyl flooring and the room was clean. The beds were comfortable. The pool area was in good shape and someone was on the premises most of the time. Space for parking was tight but the management really helped a patron who was going to get ticket for where she parked and found her a place for her car. It was close to boardwalk and exactly 1 mile from the Barefoot Music Festival entrance.

I was a little disappointed when I checked in, no one was in the office, CLOSED, I had to call to get someone to check me in and get my room key. Waited about 10-15 mins. To come. Walked in my room, a bug on the floor, near my bed. Air not on, fridge not on. Room was very warm, stuffy. TV not working, had to call again as the office was closed. Mailbox filled, so had to text for someone to help with this issue. Got back to me telling me the satellite was turned off, they would have to get someone to turn it on. It took about 1 1/2hrs. for this TV issue to addressed. This room was not ready for check-in after my reservation was made weeks in advance. Once everything was finally taken care of, my stay was OK. Really felt like I should have had some compensation for the inconveniences of this short stay. No one was in the office at check out either. Closed, had to put the key in a lock box so I had no chance to discuss the everything that was occuring during this stay.

Place is a bio hazard. Dirty , roaches blood spatter in the bathroom. Had to fix the running toilet, no telephone, sheets a thin bed spread no blanket, towels in a bag, tooth paste on holder soap scum in yup along with paint chips. AC didn’t work. The electrical inspector must be blind or well paid off. My stay was a crime. Was told by another hotel on 19th that they didn’t except guests that came from this motel because of bedbugs. Run away

We love coming to sandy shores.this time we went in pool other times we were to busy.nice relaxing warm.love that’s right next boardwalk so convenient and there store across street.toons typical beach room.like every other motel. Where do I start. I checked in and the representative was actually rude. Told me to sign something without actually telling me what it was. It was the properties rules and such. One thing I found found, one of the clause was that you would not blog or write a negative review on the property. You can’t actually make someone sign that, it’s their opinion. Anyways, check in guy was rude - he handed me the key and that was it. Although we had the top floor, which was nice. It wasn’t fun however, to bring a playpen plus luggages up 3 flights of stairs. The room is OK but the cleanliness was horrible. My daughters feet turned black within a few minutes. The tub was gross, the handles on the sink were not cleaned. Looked like someone washed their hands and left the soap residue on the handles (they were white). Toilet moved when you sat on it, which I wonder how there isn’t a leak. Entertainment center had a layer of dust. Fridge smelt like someone left old meat. My daughter enjoyed the pool and my son loves the little baby area in the pool. I don’t think I would stay here again. If they cleaned it better and I got up pictures, maybe it would more pleasant.

I was not impressed with my stay here. The pictures online make it look like a decent/affordable place. However, when you get on site, that is different. There was dirt and sand all over the floor, piles of dirt in the corners of the rooms, and there were stains on the towels and bed sheets. Not to mention the pillows were like a sack of tennis balls. Extremely lumpy and the beds were hard as a rock. The toilet was a rocking chair and needed some work done to make it more stable. The on site pool also needs a deep cleaning, the entire time I was in there I kept getting other people's hair wrapped around my fingers and arms. They had free Sunday's at 4pm, which was cute, but that was about the only plus of the stay.

Not enough parking on the property for guests. Air conditioner didn’t cool room & was extremely loud. I didn’t like how you had to sign a waiver and they made a copy of your license. I’ve never had to do this at any hotel, or property that I have stayed at. The water in the shower kept either changing to scalding hot or freezing water. No set comfortable water level. The only good thing was the hotel was close to the beach, beds were comfy & wifi was great.

The room had a bad odor, broken walls and ceiling. Black mold in the ac unit, walls missing and broken trim, sheetrock. Floors dirty, cigarette burns on the furniture. Bed sheets with stains, no one was in the office to complain to because looks like all the rooms where booked so why stay around. Bathroom was horrible, dirty, flies, dead insects on the walls and ceiling. Bath tube was dirty, toilet would rock back and forth. Sink cabinet was rotten and fallen apart. Don't book this hotel, disgusting and they won't five you a refund. The pictures on the site is no where near what it actually looks like. I feel that I was scammed!

Where to start? The only reason we didn't just leave was because I promised my kids the getaway. Just walking to the room, there was an awful smell outside the rooms. In front of our room was a bunch of trash under the patio chairs they provided. The room was very dirty. Crumbs all over the floor. My kids feet were black from walking bare foot on the floor. The AC unit had visable black mold on the vents. The TV sometimes worked sometimes didn't. Just to bare the 2 nights, since we promised our kids the quick getaway, my wife cleaned the room with disinfectant wipes. Will never stay there again.

I booked a 2 bedroom to sleep 8. I got two adjoining rooms. No biggie, except neither room key unlocked the adjoining door. 3 phone calls and hours later the maintenance guy aka the front desk guy comes up. Apologizes that he’s the only worker. With two rooms, there are 4 beds. All beds had sand in them. We never laid in them and didn’t even go to the beach. The rooms are filthy. I moved one of the tables and found a large sandwich bag and a clear pencil case, both of which weren’t mine. The shower pressure was awful, spent about 20 minutes trying to rinse my
Hair out. There are cracks throughout the rooms as well as on the deck, honestly was surprised it didn’t collapse. For 1100 for 4 days, I expected cleaner. Was unable to let the front desk know about my stay because the door was locked at check out, just dropped the key in a mailbox and left.

We had a wall outlet which was not working but that was not a big deal because we had another one to use. Our bathtub faucet still ran a little water when he had all of the knobs shut off. I enjoyed my stay at the motel and the easy access to the boardwalk, beach and local restaurants. The issue was at check in, we weren’t able to check in because of the rule that we need to be be 25 to stay at a motel, although we had come to an agreement with the motel in prior months. Lana gave us a difficult time checking in but the manager came in and took care of the matter. I could see myself returning here as long as this issue doesn’t occur again.

This place is a rip off. The tv didnt work the beds are super small. They dont give you washcloths only dingy towels. Suggest you bring your own linens and washcloths/towels. Room smelled like someone had urinated in the window area. Curtain rod but No curtains. They lock and unlock the pool area as they please so there is limited use. Kids didnt get to use the pool on Sun because they wouldn't open it until after check out time so petty. The only good thing about this place is its location. You can walk 2-3 blocks right to the boardwalk.

This hotel was way worse then I thought. The walls are paper thin, you could hear the next room whispering and I wish I was exaggerating. BEWARE OF BED BUGS! I always change the sheets and wash it wherever I go but I noticed I got bed bug bites all over my legs and my partners arms. I rather sleep in my car that weekend then stay here and I mean it. Only good thing about it is it provides a bathroom.

Very close to the beach and Sam's Pizza which was nice. The hotel itself could use some upgrades. I rented a room with the kitchenette and 3 other rooms without a kitchenette and they were more spacious than the room with the kitchenette. I was upset about the refrigerator not being a full sized refrigerator. It was a mini fridge that comes with all of the other regular rooms. The rooms all smelled like old wet moisture and smoke. Luckily I took some sanitizer and air fresheners which helped a bit and I aired out the room as best I could. The pool was nice and clean and felt a comfortable temperature. The ice machine never had ice in it which was also disappointing but directly across the street there was a liquor/beer store so I was able to buy ice from there. The air conditioner in the room worked well. Overall I wouldn't stay there again but it wasn't the worst place. I didn't like how cramped my kitchenette room was when I payed the most for the kitchenette and the other rooms without the kitchenette were more spacious.

The room was not clean when I arrived. There as no towels and dirty towels behind the door. I called three times to have the curtain changed in the shower it was covered with mildew. No one came finally I was told that they couldn’t get to where they were kept and would need to be done in the morning. There was mildew on the ceiling. I would never stay here again. Nor would I recommend anyone else to stay here. Rooms were run down and they pool was cloudy. That wasn’t the bad part the bad part was the water smelled like wet dog.

Where do I start....The office was closed when we arrived. We had to call the manager I believe he was to check us in. There was a mix up and they gave friends of ours who also came on the trip our room. The guy was rude about it when it was their fault. So he gave us another room, when we get to our room and the a.c was off and the room was about 90°. When we went to bed we felt sand in our sheets and there was a used condom near the headboard/window. We will Never return to this hotel. Only good thing I can say about this hotel is it was close to the board walk.

Our room was clean and had a little kitchen area, though I don’t believe all rooms have that. It was a nice room overall. And the guy working the front desk was very accommodating as me and my husband arrived hours early and he was able to get us a room shortly upon our early arrival. A downfall was the bed- it felt like I was sleeping on springs and had this plastic covering over it, and there are only blinds with no curtains so the sun shines in bright in the morning. Though this might work for people who don’t want to sleep in too late on their vacation :)

Our microwave didn’t work, the bathroom was very small and very outdated. We were on the second floor and a lot of firemen were staying there and would block the stairway and party outside the hotel. A few times I needed a few things and the office was closed.. The Hilton charges less per night and you get newer rooms and better treatment and amenities.

It was terrible bad service bad bed the rooms is not like they show on pictures online I will never stay there again and I will not recommend it

I was disappointed that the room wasn’t very cleaned. The floor had sand on it and hadn’t been swept under the beds. I also didn’t like the fact that my room wa attached to another room with a door that has a deadbolt lock on it. The property is very clean on the outside; however there isn’t any real maid service that comes around to tidy up rooms. I also didn’t appreciate that guests two doors down from our room were I inconsiderate of others trying to sleep when they we’re outside making noise until 1:20 am. Overall experience woes okay it would prefer a rom on upper level next time instead of ground room. Staff was very respectful and helpful when I locked key inside room.
