Es triste que no hayan tenido el detalle de haber cambiado la reserva aun sabiendo la alerta roja. Aunque hayamos reservado con aplicación ya nos paso algo similar en otro hotel y lo cambiaron sin problemas, y mas siendo clientes habituales.

Underground parking was convenient and safe. We had a cute room with a large balcony. Staff helped arrange a taxi to the airport and showed us where there was a small store 30 meters from the hotel. Bus stop just outside takes you straight into old Malaga. Would stay here again.

Room was clean and comfy, just a bit smaller than I booked for, unfortunately kitchen was closed, so we cannot add breakfast to our stay and I guess the rooms are not insulated because you could hear every step in the hallway.. Otherwise it was ok and staff was friendly

We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel, the staff, and the restaurant. But the area was a bit run down and the other restaurants were not travel friendly. We happened to be there during the Málaga Feria (fair) and THAT was an amazing experience! We walked there three evenings and just loved it.
But, minus the fair, you are VERY far from anything to do or see.
If you just need a hotel and no entertainment or sight-seeing, its perfect for relaxing and great meals.

Saw a lezard in the room and ask the receptionist to cancel my booking as it was no way for me to stay in this room.
Receptionist was so rude and si,ply said, yoru room is paid and can't cancel it.
Was forced to stay in this hotel (thanksfully in another room) and changed to another hotel the day after.

Brilliant find!

Hotel Romerito was a brilliant find; the rooms are spacious and very clean. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were lovely, with nice big showers. The staff were very friendly and helpful, one in particular spoke very good English and was doing a great job trying to help out many last minute bookings, after a flight was cancelled (I'm sorry I didn't catch her name). They were very patient with everyone and accomodating. It was a beautiful hotel, and the courtyard was lovely to sit outside and enjoy a meal in. It is located conveniently to the airport and I would definitely stay here again.

A great find in time of need!

Lovely little hotel with courtyard. All staff from reception, bar/restauraunt to cleaners could not be faulted. I would definitely stay again.

Booked hotel because of flight cancellation. Much nicer than an airport hotel.

Very clean, did not go for the breakfast option as it was quite pricey, no parking though, and this is one of the reasons I chose the hotel… I arrived late in the evening and when I arrived in front of the garage door( after a steep decent to the garage, I saw the door closed and called the intercom, I was informed the parking is full… I circled around for 15 min and parked in a taxi place available until 08.00… next morning I took the car at 7.30 and came back to the hotel to try again… more than half of the parking was empty… did all the cars just left between 01.00 in the morning and 7.30? I really don’t know… but no parking is an issue

Comfortable stay at Romerito

We had a fantastic and comfortable stay at Hotel Romerito. The hotel had everything you need - comfortable bed, hot water, good shower pressure. The restaurant at the hotel offers a good breakfast as well! The hotel was very clean - there was always a team of cleaners throughout the day. More than I had seen at any hotel!

While I do not actually think this hotel deserves a 5 star rating I do believe it deserves a higher rating than it currently has, therefore I am trying to raise the average.
We are currently in the middle of a full weeks stay here and am using some downtime to get this task accomplished.
The \"facility\" itself is maintained meticulously with a very hard working staff. The restaurant within the hotel is, without a doubt the best in the neighborhood.
Remembering what we are paying for the room per night expectations need to be set proportionately to the charge. Of any hotel we ask most for 3 items
1. Good A/C - check
2. A good strong and hot shower - check
3. Comfortable bed(s) - check
We had no ants or bugs of any kind
As an Architect it really is a rather attractive and semi classically designed facility.
As in most of Spain, as Americans we are bothered by the amount and \"locations,\" of all the smokers but I suspect it is also regulated by laws.
The ONLY drawback I have thus far, which would be free to fix it is that the staff we deal with could be a lot more congenial and hospitable to us. It might be that they are very used to Spanish speaking clientele, which, while we do our best we are not fluent.
UPDATE....The staff has now gotten used to us, or it was me however they are also very friendly struggling with little English matching my feeble attempts at Spanish.
All in all. Price to quality in.my opinion is well on the mark if not actually a super great value and find.

Arrived late at the airport so this was the perfect stop gap for an overnight stay.. the staff were welcoming and the room was clean and comfortable we had an amazing sleep. The only negative was that there was no kettle or drink making facilities.. a cup of tea on arriving at 1 in the morning would of been appreciated

I travel all over the world, but never had something stolen from my belongings until this time in this hotel!
Please be aware, that you are not safe here! I forgot my coat and shal in the wardrobe. Four hours later I went back to the hotel to pick up my language and tell them if they could give my coat as it is still in the wardrobe. They said sorry but it is nothing there….the cleaners did not report anything…. So with one word it is stollen. I came with a coat because it was cold in my country and here was hot and I even did not think about my coat in the morning so it was in just there in the wardrobe.

Unable to get refund

We were unable to get refund when we had to cancel our stay. The hôtel kept asking us for sensitive data from our bank account number, in Canada, to refund us. They say they can’t do orherwise, Even if we prepaid with our crédit card.

Cute hotel, but some of ladies at the reception were very unhelpful and dismissive when I asked for help, expecially the one with black curly hair, as if she was angry or annoyed with something and just had zero sympathy for my situation. The least they could do was use Google translate to understand me. The restaurant had very limited fresh pastries and overcharged for a coffee. The coffee was double the price of one across the street. The room was clean, but only one shampoo/conditioner for hair and body, which is very cheap. Not a single coffee maker or hot water dispenser anywhere in hotel. So, for a cup of tea or coffee you had to keep going to the restaurant. The fountain and courtyard was cute,but then other mentioned stuff are important as well.

A 4 instead of 5 for staff & services because the female bartender gave me the impression Ihad stupid requests. A local I sat with confirmed she was unfriendly. Too bad she didn't have more joy. Maybe a bad day in her personal life. The staff at the front desk was invaluable as she helped me with getting a train reserved along with arrangement for a taxi in the morning. She even looked online to find the best options for me to get to my destination the next day.

You can tell the hotel need some remodeling especially on the hallways of the hotel. The room was good and comfortable. Shower was good and comfortable. Overall is an ok hotel with very nice staff. The restaurant in the hotel is a plus especially when traveling overnight.

the room was so small couldn't open the suitcase. the window did not have a mosquito screen. the bathroom was claustrophobic. I check in and 10 minutes later I checked out. I want a refund because the room was terrible. I'm a senior and nobody helped me to take the luggage up the stairs. was horrible

Hotel Romerito was a one night stop. We arrived at night, then caught a plane the next morning. We had a car and used their secure underground parking for €8, perfect. The room itself was tiny, even for a couple. The AC was great and the windows kept noise out. Perfect for a one nighter in and out.

It was extremely noisy during the day and there was also noise at night. There were some repairs done during the day with lots of hammering, there was lots of noise from the nearby playing ground and from the underground parking door which prevented us from having a good rest after a long day's trip. The quadrupal room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was nice as well. There was only one squeaking chair in the room for the four of us.

Highly recommendable hotel

Our room was just lovely, with a great balcony. The en-suite was perfectly clean, like the rest of the suite. The restaurant was inexpensive and the food was excellent. We can’t forget the beautiful inner courtyard which we used every day.

Too noisy at night

This hotel is only good if you don't have problem with noice at night. The other guests come back to their room at every hour of the night, and they are not silent. That the doors appear to be made of paper does't help either.

Bonne option pour visite Malaga.

Hôtel situé un peu loin du centre mais arrêt de bus quasiment au pied de l'hôtel. Pas de possibilités de stationnement dans la rue mais parking de l'hôtel très pratique. Hôtel en très bon état, chambres en cours de rénovation (début avril 2024). La nôtre venait d'être terminée, un peu petite mais avec une terrasse très agréable. Restaurant de l'hôtel très correct. Accueil agréable. Insonorisation des chambres pas terribles (idem quasiment totalité de notre périple andalou).

The desk staff were wonderful. I needed to borrow a cork screw and the bartender at their restaurant said he didn’t have one. When I asked how he opened the wine bottles displayed he shrugged his shoulders and walked into the kitchen. I would never set foot in that restaurant. One lady at the desk, walked home and brought me a corkscrew to open the bottle of wine that I had.
The hotel was spotless and quiet. The best value we have experienced in a long time.

We had a fantastic four nights in Hotel Romerito. We had originally booked for two nights but extended to four. All the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful which makes this hotel so special.
We are cycle tourists and the hotel have very kindly stored our large boxes while we go off on a cycle tour.
You can catch a number 20 bus into the centre from outside the hotel.

It was handy to the airport and had a lovely court area. We arrived late in the staff that were there were extremely helpful. The rooms were nice and clean. However, the balcony was very small from what we were led to believe prior, and food was not very good at the restaurant.

The property was clean, but no elevators so had to haul heavy luggage to room (up and down), the pillowcase smelled like smoke so had to cover with a towel so I could sleep. A tiny packet of shower gel/shampoo that was only enough to wash your hands once. The outside courtyard was very noisy past 11 pm. Would not tecommend.

Due to my late booking I was stuck with what I could find in the Malaga area. This one was stuck out in the suburbs and required a 10 minute drive into the city. The hotel had below ground parking but it was full therefore parking was a nightmare.
The hotel is connected to a restaurant but the staff there were quite indifferent. Breakfast there was almost laughable, a ham and cheese sandwich was the most exciting thing that I saw. There’s no water or coffee in the rooms and only small packages of liquid soap. Although the room did have a nice little balcony I felt really miserable staying here and couldn’t wait for the stay to be done with.

Wonderful except parking

I love the facility, it is a beautiful courtyard and is well maintained. There was an odor in the bathroom but we vented it out.

Parking is horrible. Horrible as in there is none. The basement parking was closed. If not for the parking I would give it 5 stars.

The bus stop to Malaga center is outside the hotel.
Close to the airport as well.
Staff were very good and the place is spotless.

The hotel was a great property to stay at, had a real Spanish feel, but it was about a 15 minute drive from the Centro. If you are planning to visit the tourist areas and don’t mind driving a distance or commuting by bus, this is an ideal choice. There is a bus stop right outside the property, and a few cafe dining options around as well, with more of a local feel, than a tourist area. The hotel itself has its own restaurant, so you can enjoy breakfast or a late night dinner. All areas were clean and smelled great!
