The hotel is very easy to find and a short drive from the airport. It does have parking, for a daily fee, in the property area. The hotel is situated by the oceanfront so you have infinite beaches options. It also has private swimming pools.

Over £120 pounds each person a night for a travel lodge style room beds not comfortable for me and my friend as we don’t like very firm beds . Gym was rather small and children unsuitable in age were admitted without adult supervision by their parents - health and safety. Once kids were let in they could not get out without a key card . No staff on hand to monitor this .

If you are traveling with a family with small children, this is the perfect place to stay. They have activities for kids throughout the day, as well as for adults. The staff is super-friendly. This hotel is on the beach and our rooms had ocean views. The bus to Malaga stops outside the hotel so you can experience the excitement of Malaga, but enjoy the peace of the beach during the day.

Check in was a strict 3pm, had full board so that leaves 30 minutes for lunch if you don't go to your room first. We did that but the selection for some items was scraps and was not refilled (3 total pieces of desert left), couple of food items not refilled.

The hotel's staff wasn't friendly and it's facilities need a desperate upgrade. They charge for everything - parking (eventhough there's a huge parking lot ), beach lounge, and even the billards table. The towels we clearly left on the floor to be changed were put back on the rack. We had to call and request new towels. Also the beds and pillows are uncomfortable.

There was no room service at all, in time of a need there was no assistance and was shut down when asked. The indoor swimming pool wasn't working - not mentioned on website. For those wanting to travel by bus there is a bus stop right outside the hotel. It takes about 40 minutes to get to the city centre. There is also a QR code listed at the stop which tells in how many minutes the bus will arrive at the stop, this is extremely handy for planning the departure time from sitting in your hotel room!

This hotel badly needs renovations. Everything is 20-30yrs old. Staff were really amazing and very helpful. Breakfast buffet was decent but not exceptional. The worst thing was the noise level, from above and below you, even from showers of neighboring rooms. That’s why we barely slept even with our white noise devise was on its loudest volume. I guess, you get what you pay for

They booked us in a family room, with bunk beds. We had to request a move. The food is cold, we sent back a burger and fries that were stone cold, 20 minutes later it came back, just as cold. The breakfast was great, but I wouldn't eat at the bar or the pool side, food was terrible. Tick Tack restaurant up the street was great. The beach was great as well.

3 Days at Sol Guadalmar Hotel
The Staff at the hotel were very friendly and accommodating. The check in was a little slow and the room that was assigned had a king bed as opposed to 2 double beds that was chosen at the time of the booking so we had to change rooms.
The hotel is somewhat dated but I felt it was clean and safe.
The hotel is located on the sea but doesn't have beach front lounges so we had to rent beach lounges from the restaurant located directly in front of the hotel.
That was disappointing but we managed.
The beach is not a sandy beach but is covered with small rocks which is a little uncomfortable on the feet when getting in and out of the sea but manageable. Regardless, we totally enjoyed the sea and spent every day in the sea. We didn't bother with the one outside pool and hot tube on the property. I noticed that the hotel also had a indoor pool but we didn't bother with it.

The staff have been very friendly, as a single travel this is very important to me as they made me feel safe and welcome and helped with any queries I had. Good hotel, right in front of the beach. Really good breakfast and outside area with pool. Beware that the gym has an extra charge (5€ per day) and has limited opening hours. Pool service for towels doesn’t work until around 11:30. Would stay here again.

This place is essentially a family beach vacation resort. Right on the beach with nice pool as well. Gym was pretty old and run down. Breakfast was fine. But otherwise not really a good onsite food / drinks option. And other than the beach, little available. It’s in a residential neighborhood. But my biggest issue was how helpful they were willing to be on an early checkin. I requested in advance, but they made almost no effort when I arrived to accommodate, and front desk staff didn’t seem to care. I understand the challenge of early checkin. It would have been easier to feel ok about it after a long day of travel if they seemed concerned

It is a good hotel for kids. The kids program was really great. Special thanks to Hugo. However we found the hallways to be noisy with doors slamming. The beds were uncomfortable and small for two people. We barely slept. The AC worked but would blow right on our head. We had to turn it off at night but got really hot.

Bad check-in experience, with rude person accusing I didn’t book the correct number of people, which I did and had confirmation of. Bed and pillows are horribly uncomfortable. Location right on the beach is great with a cute boardwalk and restaurant behind hotel. Tennis court was ok but the net was not maintained and 2 ft. High in middle. Balls were old and no lights on court. Room was nice but trouble with AC both nights but serviced immediately.
